[0001] The subject of the invention is a bathtub entry aid according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

[0002] Such bathtub entry aids are designed to be attached to the outside of the bathtub and provide an upper grab bar that serves as a point of support for a person entering or exiting the bathtub. The ability to attach an entry aid represents an improvement over known devices, such as those shown in US Pat. No. 870,086 A, which consist of a tensioning frame that is clamped outside the bathtub, between a projecting frame of the bathtub and the floor, and has a pivoting handle.

[0003] This involves using a grab handle that projects upwards over the edge of the bathtub and is arranged on a frame attached to the bathtub, as shown, for example, in DE 18 66 019 U or DE 20 2008 001 888 U1.
