Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a terminal block having a terminal housing, having two conductor connection points, having a busbar which consists of three busbar pieces and which are arranged one behind the other in the longitudinal direction of the terminal block, wherein the first conductor connection point is electrically conductively connected to the first busbar piece and the second conductor connection point is electrically conductively connected to the third busbar piece of the busbar, having two cut-off points formed in the terminal housing and having at least one functional shaft formed in the terminal housing between the two cut-off points. The first separating point is formed between the first busbar piece and the second busbar piece, such that the first busbar piece and the second busbar piece can be connected to one another via a functional element arranged in the first separating point or insertable into the first separating point. The second separating point is arranged between the second busbar piece and the third busbar piece, such that the second busbar piece and the third busbar piece can be connected to one another via a functional element arranged in the second separating point or insertable into the second separating point. In addition, at least one functional shaft is arranged in the terminal housing between the two separating points, and a connection possibility for a functional element which can be inserted into the functional shaft is formed in the second busbar piece in a manner corresponding to the at least one functional shaft.Electrical terminal blocks have been known for decades and are used millions of times in the wiring of electrical installations and devices. The terminals are mostly latched onto support rails, which in turn are frequently arranged in a plurality in a switchgear cabinet. The basic type of the terminal block is the connecting terminal which has at least two conductor connection elements which are electrically connected to one another via an electrically conductive connecting rail, the busbar. In addition to this basic type, which is frequently also referred to as a through terminal, there are a multiplicity of different series terminal types, which are specifically adapted to the respective application. Examples include protective conductor terminals, fuse and component terminals and installation terminals. In particular in the case of terminal blocks which are used in testing and measuring technology, various switching, disconnecting and testing tasks are frequently to be implemented. According to their use, such terminal blocks are frequently also referred to as separating terminals. With the aid of a separating element arranged in the terminal housing of the separating terminal, for example a separating blade or a separating slide, two parts of the busbar can be selectively connected to one another or separated from one another, so that a reliable separation of two circuits is possible. An electrical terminal block in which two parts of a busbar can be separated by a separating point is known from DE 41 06 555 A1. The terminal block described there is a double-bar terminal which has two busbars running one above the other in the terminal housing, wherein both busbars can be separated by a separating point which is accessible from the upper side of the terminal block. The separating point is designed as a knife separating point which has a separating knife pivotably mounted in the housing.EP 4 007 075 A1 discloses a disconnection terminal described at the beginning, which has not only one disconnection point but two disconnection points via which three busbar pieces can be connected to one another or disconnected from one another. Two bridge shafts are arranged between the two separation points, via which the central busbar piece can be connected via an inserted bridge element to the potential present at a feed terminal. In the known terminal block, maintenance work can be simplified, since the conductor connection points can be separated individually and independently of one another from the potential connected to the middle, second busbar piece. Although such terminals have proven themselves in practice, a plurality of terminals are often required in order to be able to realize the desired functions and connections. The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a terminal block described at the beginning which enables a great diversity of functions so that different application cases can be covered with as few terminal blocks as possible. This object is achieved in the case of the initially described terminal block having the features of claim 1 in that at least one functional shaft is arranged in the terminal housing between the first conductor connection point and the first separation point and at least one connection possibility for a functional element is formed in the first busbar piece corresponding thereto, and in that at least one functional shaft is arranged in the terminal housing between the second conductor connection point and the second separation point and at least one connection possibility for a functional element is formed in the third busbar piece corresponding thereto. The terminal block according to the invention has, in addition to the two separating points, additionally at least three functional shafts, wherein the functional shafts are arranged such that at least one functional shaft is formed in each case on both sides of the two separating points. In the terminal block according to the invention, at least one functional shaft is thus arranged between the two separating points and, in addition, at least one functional shaft is arranged between a separating point and the conductor connection point adjacent thereto. As a result, in the case of the terminal block according to the invention, it is possible not only to connect or disconnect a potential present at the central busbar piece to one of the two conductor connection points via the respective disconnection point, but also to connect this potential to further terminal blocks via a bridge element which is inserted into one of the two further function slots. If no bridge element but, for example, a test plug is inserted into one of the two further functional shafts, it is alternatively possible to test the individual current paths.According to an advantageous embodiment of the modular terminal according to the invention, two respective functional shafts are formed in the terminal housing both between the first conductor connection point and the first separation point and between the second conductor connection point and the second separation point. Corresponding to this, two connection options are then also formed in each case for a respective functional element both in the first busbar piece and in the third busbar piece. In addition, according to a further advantageous embodiment, two functional shafts are also arranged in the terminal housing between the two separating points and, corresponding thereto, two connection possibilities are formed in the second busbar piece for one functional element each. According to a preferred embodiment, the terminal block thus has three dual-function slots, wherein one of the dual-function slots is arranged between the first conductor connection point and the first separation point, between the second conductor connection point and the second separation point and between the two separation points. The connection options for corresponding functional elements formed in the individual busbar pieces are preferably formed as openings in the busbars, into which openings the ends of the individual functional elements can be inserted in such a way that they make electrical contact with the respective busbar pieces. The shape of the openings in the busbar pieces is adapted to the shape of the ends of the functional elements in such a way that screw-free mounting of the functional elements is possible by simple insertion into the openings. The two separating points formed in the terminal housing of the terminal block are formed in such a way that they are basically suitable for receiving different functional elements. For example, a separate disconnect plug can be inserted into a disconnect location. Alternatively, a fuse plug or a component plug can also be inserted into the separation point. Depending on the type of functional element inserted into the separating point, the terminal block can thus perform different functions and can thus be used for different application cases.According to an advantageous embodiment of the modular terminal according to the invention, a separating blade is arranged pivotably in the terminal housing as a functional element in the region of at least one of the two separating points. In a first position of the isolating blade, two adjacent busbar pieces, i.e. either the first busbar piece and the second busbar piece at the first isolating point or the second busbar piece and the third busbar piece at the second isolating point, can thereby be connected to one another via the isolating blade. In a second position of the separating blade, on the other hand, the two respective busbar pieces are separated from one another. Due to the pivotable arrangement of the separating blade in the terminal housing, such a terminal block can be used simply as a separating terminal without the assembler having to have a corresponding separating plug available as a functional element. At the outset, it is stated that the terminal block according to the invention has two conductor connection points. However, this does not exclude the series terminal also having more than two conductor connection points, for example in each case two conductor connection points at both ends of the terminal housing, that is to say in each case two conductor connection points which are electrically conductively connected to the first busbar piece or the third busbar piece.According to one embodiment variant of the terminal block according to the invention, the first conductor connection point and / or the second conductor connection point has a conductor connection element. The individual conductor connection elements in this case each cooperate with a busbar piece in such a way that the end of a conductor can be connected to the corresponding busbar piece, that is to say to the first busbar piece and / or to the second busbar piece, with the aid of the conductor connection element. In this case, different types of conductor connection elements are possible, in particular screw connections, tension spring connections, spring force clamping connections, crimp connections or cutting connections.According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the conductor connection elements are designed as spring force clamping connections, each of which has a clamping spring with a clamping leg and a current bar, which together with the clamping leg forms a clamping point for a conductor to be connected. The end of the first busbar piece facing the first conductor connection point and the end of the third busbar piece facing the second conductor connection point each serve as current bars of the corresponding spring force clamping connection. For easy opening of the respective clamping point, an actuating element, in particular an actuating presser, can be arranged displaceably in the clamp housing. Alternatively or additionally, the clamping leg of the clamping spring can also be prestressed in such a way that a conductor is automatically clamped in the clamping point when the end of the conductor is introduced into the clamping point.According to an alternative embodiment of the terminal block, the first conductor connection point and / or the second conductor connection point can have a slot for a connector plug. The terminal block can thus be designed as a pluggable terminal block at least on one side. The slot is formed by the end of the first busbar piece or of the third busbar piece facing the second conductor connection point. In addition, the plug-in location is preferably designed as a plug pin onto which a corresponding contact socket in the connector plug can be plugged. In principle, in the case of the terminal block according to the invention, the possible configurations of the conductor connection point described above can be combined with one another. In the case of a terminal block, one conductor connection point can thus have a conductor connection element and the other conductor connection point can have a plug-in location. Likewise, both or all of the conductor connection points can each have a conductor connection element or a slot in each case. If the conductor connection points all have a conductor connection element, these are generally all of the same design, i.e. for example all of them are designed as a spring force clamping connection or as a screw connection, but the invention is not limited thereto. Depending on the application, different types of conductor connection elements can thus also be provided in the case of a terminal block. In addition to a single terminal block, the present invention also relates to a terminal block having at least two terminal blocks arranged side by side, having a feed terminal for connecting an electrical potential and having at least one bridge element. The feed terminal has a terminal housing, two conductor connection points, a busbar and at least one functional shaft formed in the terminal housing between the two conductor connection points. Corresponding to the functional compartment, a connection possibility for a bridge element is formed in the busbar of the feed terminal, such that the series terminals can be connected to the potential of the feed terminal via the at least one bridge element. With regard to advantageous configurations of the conductor connection points, of the at least one functional shaft and of the connection possibility in the busbar of the feed terminal, reference can be made to the previous explanations relating to the terminal block according to the invention. In this case, the two conductor connection points of the feed terminal preferably both have a conductor connection element which is designed in particular as a spring force terminal connection. In particular, there are several possibilities for configuring and further developing the terminal block according to the invention. Reference is made to the subordinate patent claims and the following description of preferred exemplary embodiments in conjunction with the drawing. The terminal block 1 has a terminal housing 2 which is generally made of plastic and in which two conductor connection points 3, 4 and a busbar which consists of three busbar pieces 5, 6, 7 are arranged. The individual busbar pieces 5, 6, 7 are arranged here spaced apart from one another in the longitudinal direction L of the series terminal 1 one behind the other in the terminal housing 2. In the illustration according to FIG. 1, the first, left-hand conductor connection point 3 is electrically conductively connected to the first busbar piece 5 and the second, right-hand conductor connection point 4 is electrically conductively connected to the third busbar piece 7.The terminals 1 shown in the figures have two separating points 8, 9 arranged one behind the other, wherein the first separating point 8 is formed or arranged between the first busbar piece 5 and the second, middle busbar piece 6 and the second separating point 9 is formed or arranged between the second busbar piece 6 and the third busbar piece 7. The first busbar piece 5 can be connected to the second busbar piece 6 via the first separating point 8, and the second busbar piece 6 can be connected to the third busbar piece 7 via the second separating point 9, if a corresponding functional element is arranged in the respective separating point 8, 9, as is the case in the exemplary embodiments according to FIGS. 1 to 4.In the embodiment of the terminal block 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, the two functional elements are each designed as a separating blade 10 which is arranged pivotably in the terminal housing 2. If the two separating blades 10 are in the first position shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, the first busbar piece 5 is electrically conductively connected to the second busbar piece 6 via the first separating blade 10 and the second busbar piece 6 is electrically conductively connected to the third busbar piece 7 via the second separating blade 10. If, on the other hand, one of the two cutting blades 10 (FIG. 2 ) or both cutting blades 10 (FIG. 3 ) is in its second position, the busbar pieces 5 and 6 or 6 and 7 assigned to the corresponding cutting point 8, 9 are not connected to one another but are separated from one another.FIGS. 5 and 6 show an embodiment variant of the terminal block 1, in which a separating plug 11 is inserted as a functional element in the first separating point 8 (FIG. 5 ) and a component plug 12 is arranged as a functional element in the second separating point 9 (FIG. 6 ). It can be seen from a comparison of FIG. 1 with FIGS. 5 and 6 that the terminal blocks 1 shown in the figures are of identical design. The separating points 8, 9 are each designed such that they can selectively receive a separating blade 10 pivotably mounted in the terminal housing 2 or a pluggable functional element, such as a separating plug 11 or a component plug 12. Instead of the component plug 12 shown in FIGS. 5 and 6, a fuse plug can also be inserted into one or both cut-off points 8, 9, for example. By inserting a component plug 12 or a fuse plug, the terminal block 1 can thus be easily converted into a corresponding functional terminal. If a separating blade 10 is pivotably arranged in the terminal housing 2, the circuits at the individual conductor connection points 3, 4 can be opened and closed independently of one another, quickly and easily. In the case of the terminal blocks 1 illustrated in the figures, two functional shafts 13 are arranged centrally in the terminal housing 2, namely between the two separating points 8, 9, corresponding to which two connection possibilities 14 in the form of openings for the insertion of corresponding functional elements are formed in the second busbar piece 6. The function shafts 13 between the two separation points 8, 9 serve to accommodate a plug contact of a bridge element 15, 16, via which a voltage potential fed in can be distributed to terminal blocks arranged adjacent to one another (cf. FIG. 8 ). The functional shafts 13 arranged between the two separation points 8, 9 can therefore also be referred to as bridge shafts. In addition, two respective functional shafts 17, 20 are also arranged in the terminal housing 2 between the first conductor connection point 3 and the first separation point 8 and between the second conductor connection terminal 4 and the second separation point 9. Corresponding connection options 18 are formed in the first busbar piece 5 to the two functional shafts 17 arranged adjacent to the first conductor connection point 3. Correspondingly, connection options 21 corresponding to the two functional shafts 20, which are arranged adjacent to the second conductor connection point 4, are also formed in the third busbar piece 7. The connection options formed in the individual busbar pieces 5, 6, 7 are each formed as rectangular openings in the busbar pieces, into which openings the plug contacts of corresponding functional elements can be inserted. As functional elements, bridge elements 16, test sockets 19, test plugs or test plugs can be used, for example.FIGS. 2 and 3 each show a terminal block 1 with an inserted test socket 19 (FIG. 2 ) or with two inserted test sockets 19 (FIG. 3 ). In this case, the isolating blade 10 adjacent to the respectively inserted test plug 19 is in its open position, so that a test of the respective circuits can be carried out via the test sockets 19.In the case of the terminal blocks 1 illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 6, the two conductor connection points 3, 4 each have a conductor connection element which is designed as a spring-force terminal connection. For this purpose, a clamping spring 22 is arranged in a corresponding recess in the terminal housing 2, the clamping limb 23 of which, together with a current bar 24, forms a clamping point for a conductor to be connected. The current bars 24 of the two spring force clamping connections are formed by the end of the first busbar piece 5 facing the first conductor connection point 3 or by the end of the third busbar piece 7 facing the second conductor connection point 4. The current bars 24 of the spring force clamping connections are thus part of the first busbar piece 5 or part of the third busbar piece 7.The individual conductor connection elements can also be designed, for example, as screw terminals, as tension spring terminals or as insulation displacement terminals. With the aid of the correspondingly configured conductor connection element, one end of an electrical conductor can then be electrically connected to the first busbar piece 5 or to the third busbar piece 7 and the conductor can thus be connected to the terminal block 1.Alternatively, the two conductor connection points 3, 4 can also be designed as a plug-in location 25, onto which a corresponding connector plug 26 can be plugged, as is realized in the case of the terminal blocks 1 illustrated in FIGS. 11 and 12. The plug-in slots 25, like the current bars in the case of the conductor connection elements, are formed directly by the ends of the first busbar piece 5 or of the third busbar piece 7 facing the first conductor connection point 3 or the second conductor connection point 4 and are designed in the present case as plug pins.It can be seen from FIG. 1 and in particular from the sectional illustration according to FIG. 4 that the three busbar pieces 5, 6, 7 are each U-shaped and have a connecting section running in the longitudinal direction L of the terminal block 1 and two contact sections bent away therefrom. The contact sections are either part of the conductor connection elements 3, 4 or part of the separating points 8, 9. Identical components can thus be used for the first busbar piece 5 and the third busbar piece 7, which simplifies the production of the terminal block 1.The terminal block 1 shown in FIG. 4 differs somewhat from the terminal block 1 shown in FIG. 1 in that it has a different type of spring force terminal connection. Both in the case of the terminal block 1 illustrated in FIG. 1 and in the case of the terminal block 1 illustrated in FIG. 4, the conductor connection element has a clamping spring 22 having a clamping limb 23 and a current bar 24. In the spring force clamping connection realized in the terminal block 1 according to FIG. 4, however, the clamping spring 22 is in a prestressed state, so that the clamping point is open. In this type of spring force terminal, a conductor to be connected can be inserted into the terminal without any effort through the conductor insertion opening 27 in the terminal housing 2. The end of the inserted conductor then presses against a slide 28 pivotably arranged in the terminal housing 2, as a result of which the actuating presser 29 is unlocked from its position shown in FIG. 4, in which the clamping limb 23 is deflected, with the result that the clamping limb 23 springs back and clamps the inserted conductor against the current bar 24.If the clamping point is to be opened again, for example in order to pull a connected conductor out of the terminal block 1, the actuating pusher 29 must be pressed into the interior of the terminal housing 2 in the case of both terminal blocks 1 (FIGS. 1 and 4 ), as a result of which the clamping leg 23 is deflected and in the process lifted from the connected conductor.FIGS. 7 to 12 show different embodiments of a terminal block 30 with several terminals 1 arranged side by side. The feed terminal 31 has a terminal housing 32 in which two conductor connection points 33, 34 are arranged, which are electrically connected to one another via a continuous busbar. In the exemplary embodiment of the feed terminal 31 illustrated in the figures, the two conductor connection points 33, 34 each have a conductor connection element designed as a spring force terminal connection. In addition, two functional shafts 35 are formed in the terminal housing 32 of the feed terminal 31, which are arranged between the two conductor connection points 33, 34. Corresponding to the two function shafts 35, connection options in the form of openings are formed in the busbar of the feed terminal 32, into each of which openings a plug of a bridge element 15, 16 can be inserted. As a result, the individual terminal blocks 1 can be connected via the bridge elements 15, 16 inserted into the functional slots 13 of the terminal block or the functional slots 35 of the feed terminal 31 to the potential which is connected to the feed terminal 31 via the conductor connection points 33, 34.It can be seen again from FIGS. 9 and 10 that, by forming the additional functional shafts 17, 20, additional functional elements, for example further bridge elements 16 or test sockets 19, can be inserted into the individual terminal blocks 1 and connected to the terminal blocks 1 or the busbar pieces 5, 7, so that individual current paths can be tested or potentials applied to the individual terminal blocks 1 can be bridged.FIGS. 11 and 12 show a terminal block 30 which consists of a plurality of terminals 1 which are latched onto a support rail 36 side by side. The conductor connection points 3, 4 of the individual terminal blocks 1 each have a slot 25, so that corresponding connector plugs 26 can be plugged onto the slots 25, as is shown in FIG. 12. The conductors to be connected to the terminal blocks 1 are connected to corresponding conductor connection elements of the connector plugs 26.Reference numerals denote reference numerals1 Modular terminal 2 terminal housing 3, 4 conductor connection point 5.-7 busbar piece 8, 9 disconnection point 10 disconnection blade 11 disconnection plug 12 component plug 13 functional shaft 14 connection possibility 15, 16 bridge element 17 functional shaft 18 connection possibility 19 functional element 20 functional shaft 21 connection possibility 22 clamping spring 23 clamping limb 24 current bar 25 plug-in location 26 connection plug 27 conductor insertion opening 28 slider 29 actuating presser 30 modular terminal block 31 feed terminal 32 terminal housing 33, 34 conductor connection point 35 functional shaft 36 support railReferences included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
