Description

[0001] The present invention relates to a domestic appliance.

[0002] For example, a home automation device may have a storage tank for hot water. To improve thermal insulation, the storage tank may be surrounded by a suitable foam.

[0003] DE 10 2021 105 731 A1 shows a domestic appliance with a storage tank with a base for accommodating a storage tank. A lid is provided on the top of the storage tank. The storage tank, the base, and the lid are foamed together.

[0004] It is an object of the present invention to provide a domestic appliance with a hot water tank which is more stable and simpler in construction.

[0005] This object is achieved by a domestic technology device according to claim 1.

[0006] Thus, a building services appliance is provided with a storage container, a base, and a cover, which are foamed together. The base accommodates the storage container, and the cover is positioned on top in such a way that foam remains between the cover and the storage container after foaming.

[0007] According to one aspect of the present invention, the cover has a first (upper) and second (lower) side, the second side being foam-bonded to the storage container. When assembled, the first side is horizontal and the second side is angled. The cover can serve as a condensate tray for a hydraulic unit that can be placed thereon.

[0008] Optionally, a wall of the lid has a different height at a first end than at a second end. The bottom of the lid is thus sloped to allow condensate to drain to one side. A connection for draining the condensate can be provided on this side.

[0009] According to one aspect of the present invention, the device base comprises an inner ring and an outer ring. In the region of the outer ring, a plurality of webs or brackets can be provided for receiving a lower end of the storage container. The storage container is thus held by a first contact surface (the inner ring) and a second contact surface (the webs or brackets).

[0010] According to a further aspect, a second outer ring can be provided, which adjoins the webs or angles. The outer ring can be used as a contact point for the foaming. A plurality of foaming openings can be provided between the inner and outer rings.

[0011] The foaming openings can be open on one side to allow the foam to penetrate. Optionally, the foaming openings can have at least one vent.

[0012] According to one aspect of the present invention, the base may comprise a plate with carrying handles.

[0013] According to a further aspect of the present invention, the webs or angles may protrude beyond an edge of the outer ring.

[0014] Further embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.

[0015] Advantages and embodiments of the invention are explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a foamed storage container with a bottom and a lid, Fig. 2 shows a schematic sectional view of the representation of Fig. 1, Fig. 3A to 3C show different perspective views of a device base Fig. 4A and 4C show different perspective views of a device cover, and Fig. 5A and 5B respectively show a perspective view of a lower portion and a storage container on the bottom of the device.

[0016] Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of a foamed storage container with a bottom and a lid and Fig. 2 shows a schematic sectional view of the representation of Fig. 1. A storage tank 100 is located in a foam casing 200 and has a device cover 300 and a device base 400. The storage tank 100 thus stands on the device base 400 and is closed by the device cover 300. A hydraulic group 500 can be provided on the device cover 300, which can be coupled to the connections of the storage tank.

[0017] The storage tank 100 has a wall 110, a pipe 120, an inlet 130, and an outlet 140. The wall 110 of the storage tank is surrounded by a foam 200. A base 150 of the storage tank 100 rests on the device base 400, so that the device base 400 holds the storage tank 100. The device cover 300 has a first side 310, which is suitable for receiving a hydraulic group 500. Furthermore, the device cover 300 has a second side 320, which rests on the foam body 200. The second side 320 of the device cover 300 is designed at an angle. This allows the device cover 300 to be used as a condensate pan for the hydraulic group 500. The angled design of the second side 320 allows condensate to drain away from the hydraulic group.

[0018] Fig. 3A to 3C show various perspective views of a device base. The device base 400 can have a plate 410, an opening with an inner first ring 420, an outer second ring 430, and a plurality of webs or angles 440 that protrude beyond the second ring 430. Furthermore, a plurality of foam-in openings 450, optionally with a vent hole 451, can be provided. Furthermore, a plurality of stiffening ribs 460 can be provided between the inner ring 420 and the outer ring 430.

[0019] Optionally, handles 470 or recesses can be provided on the plate 410, which can serve as carrying handles. The foaming openings 450 can be designed as domes and protrude from the plane of the plate 410. The foaming openings 450 serve to redirect the foam passing through them.

[0020] The second outer ring 430 can be used to be clamped into a foam material during the foaming process.

[0021] The webs or angles 440 can extend beyond the second ring 430 and serve as a support surface for the base of the reservoir. The inner ring 420 can also serve as a support surface for the base of the reservoir. The base of the reservoir can thus be held by the inner ring 420 and the webs or angles 440.

[0022] The inner ring 420 can be provided centrally in the plate 410. The inner ring 420 can represent a first contact surface for a base of the storage container. To increase stability, radial ribs can run between the first and second rings 420, 470. The foaming openings 450 can be arranged in a radially distributed manner. For example, six foaming openings 450 can be provided. The foaming openings 450 can protrude from the plane of the plate 410 toward the top. The base of the storage container is held by the first contact surface (inner ring 420) and the second contact surface (webs / angles 440). This is advantageous because it makes the receiving surfaces for the base of the storage container independent of the inlet areas for the foaming.

[0023] Fig. 4A to 4C each show different perspective views of a device cover. The device cover 300 has a first upper side 310 for receiving the hydraulic unit and a second lower side 320. While the first upper side 310 is straight, the second lower side 320 is angled. A connection 321 for condensate can be provided on the second lower side 320.

[0024] The device cover 300 can serve as a condensate pan for the hydraulic group 500. Several foaming openings 350 can be provided on the second side 320, which are used to introduce foam during the foaming process. Furthermore, several connections 360 can be provided, to which the connections of the storage tank can be connected.

[0025] On the second lower side 320, a circumferential ring 330 can be provided, which can serve to clamp the lid into a foam tool.

[0026] The (straight) upper side 310 of the cover 300 serves to accommodate the hydraulic group 500. The cover 300 serves as a condensate tray for the condensate of the hydraulic group 500. The bottom of the condensate tray, i.e., the second lower side 320, is not horizontal, but runs diagonally from a first to the second end. Two possible connections 321 can be provided at the second end, through which the condensate can drain. Appropriate hoses can be provided at these connections 321. The cover 300 has three side walls 301, 302, 303. The first and second side walls 301, 302 are wedge-shaped in order to be able to provide the diagonally running bottom 320.

[0027] Fig. 5A and Fig. 5B each show a perspective view of a lower portion of a storage container on the device floor. In Fig. 5A and Fig.5B shows a wall 110 and a bottom 150 of the storage container 100. The device bottom 400 has a plate 410, the outer ring 430, and several webs or angles 440. The bottom 150 of the storage container then rests on the first contact surface (inner ring, not shown here) and on the second contact surface 440 (angle / web).
