Description

The invention relates to a handrail, in particular for walking on a route, for example a railway track, within a tunnel, withat least one, preferably extruded, endless handrail profile which has at least one inner cavity, andat least one cover profile for closing the cavity.Such a handrail is known, for example, from WO 2023 / 066583 A1 and serves to increase the safety during the travel route passing within the tunnel. This relates in particular to the setting up of escape routes but also to the safety management of tunnels by specialist personnel. For this purpose, the handrail can be provided in particular with a lighting device which illuminates, for example, the floor beneath the handrail and / or the travel path. In the aforementioned prior art, for this purpose, lighting grooves formed into the handrail profile are provided, into which lighting strips are inserted. The cavity is designed as a functional channel into which, for example, cables are inserted. The object of the invention is to specify a handrail having the features described at the beginning, which handrail enables even better illumination of the handrail environment.According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the covering profile is formed to be transparent to light and can be fastened to the handrail profile by means of a releasable clip connection. Within the scope of the invention, it has been recognized that the cavity can be provided with a light-transmissive cover in order to increase the functionality possibilities of the cavity. The cavity provided with the cover can be provided in particular in any region of the handrail profile on which the user is preferably firmly held during walking on the tunnel.Expediently, the cover profile consists of a translucent, in particular extruded, plastic, preferably a polycarbonate. This allows a cost-effective production of the cover profile and at the same time allows a high degree of light transmission.Within the cavity, at least one, preferably continuously designed, electric lighting element can be arranged in such a way that light beams emitted by the lighting element can beam through the covering profile. The lighting body can be designed, for example, as at least one LED strip, which is inserted into the cavity, for example when the cover profile is removed, or is also fastened to corresponding fastening means within the cavity.According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the cover profile can have a cross-sectional shape which is curved outwards in an arc shape and which is adjoined at the end-side, preferably likewise curved, latching elements of the clip connection. This enables a constructionally simple design of the covering profile and at the same time reliable mounting on the handrail profile. The outwardly curved cross-sectional shape of the cover profile allows a wide radiation angle of the light beams emitted by the lighting body into the tunnel. The handrail profile preferably has at least two counter-latching elements of circular cross section of the clip connection, which expediently interact with the latching elements of the covering profile during the mounting of the covering profile on the handrail profile. The described configuration of the latching elements and of the counter latching elements is simple in terms of construction and allows reliable mounting of the cover profile, but at the same time also unproblematic dismantling, for example if the lighting element has to be replaced. It is within the scope of the invention that at least one groove for receiving an LED strip is formed on the outer side of the handrail profile. In this case, the groove can be arranged in a lower corner region of the handrail profile. This LED strip can serve, for example, in particular for illuminating the floor area below the handrail or the travel route, while the said lighting element can be used in particular for illuminating the tunnel in the walking area.Alternatively or additionally, the at least one groove can be formed by two outwardly projecting webs spaced apart from one another. Expediently, the groove, as seen in cross section, has at least one undercut which prevents the LED strip from accidentally falling out of the groove. Alternatively or additionally, an adhesive tape can be provided for fastening the LED tape to the handrail profile. The handrail profile can have a box-shaped cross section and the covering profile can be aligned obliquely with respect to the adjoining walls of the handrail profile. The invention is explained below with reference to a drawing which merely represents an exemplary embodiment. They show schematically: FIG. 1 shows a cross section through a handrail profile according to the invention, FIG. 1a shows the detail Y in FIG. 1, FIG. 2 shows the handrail profile shown in FIG. 1 in a detail, three-dimensional illustration, FIG. 3 shows a further embodiment of the invention in a representation corresponding to FIG. 1, FIG. 3a shows the detail X in FIG. 3, FIG. 4 shows a cover profile according to the invention for the handrail profiles shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 in a cross-sectional illustration, and FIG. 5 shows the covering profile shown in FIG. 4 in a detail, three-dimensional representation. The figures show exemplary embodiments of a handrail according to the invention for walking on a route, for example a railway track, within a tunnel. As can be seen from FIGS. 1 and 3, the handrail has in each case an extruded, endless handrail profile 2 made from a polymer material, for example a thermoplastic polymer blend based on polycarbonate and ABS (PC+ABS). The handrail profile 2 has in each case an inner cavity 4. the cavity 4 has an opening 5, for the closure of which in each case a covering profile 6 is provided, which is illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5. The covering profile 6 is designed to be transparent to light and can be fastened to the handrail profile 2 by means of a releasable clip connection. It can be seen that the covering profile 6 has a cross-sectional shape which is curved outwards in an arc shape and which is adjoined at the end-side, preferably likewise curved, by latching elements 8 of the clip connection. The handrail profile 2 has in each case two counter-latching elements 10 of circular cross section of the clip connection, which interact with the latching elements 8 during the mounting of the covering profile 6 on the handrail profile 2. The cover profile 6 consists of a translucent, likewise extruded plastic, preferably a polycarbonate. An electric lighting element 12, e.g. an endless lighting element, is arranged within the respective cavity 4 of the handrail profile 2 in such a way that light beams 14 emitted by the lighting element 12 can beam through the opening 5 and thus through the covering profile 6. The handrail profile 2 is fastened in each case by means of fastening devices 16 (indicated by the dash-dotted lines) to the tunnel wall (not illustrated). It can also be seen that a groove 18 is formed on the outer side of the handrail profile 2, which serves to receive an LED strip (not shown). In the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 1, 1 a, the groove 18 is arranged in a lower corner region of the handrail profile 2 which faces the tunnel wall. It can be seen in particular with reference to FIG. 1 a that the groove 18 has an undercut 20 as seen in cross section, which prevents the LED strip from accidentally falling out of the groove 18. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3, 3 a, the groove 18 is formed by two outwardly projecting webs 22 spaced apart from one another. Here, for fastening the LED tape to the handrail profile 2, an adhesive tape (not shown) is provided, for example. It can also be seen from the figures that the handrail profile 2 has a box-shaped cross section and the mounted covering profile 6 is aligned obliquely with respect to the adjoining walls of the handrail profile.References included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
