Description

The present invention relates to a temperature control plate arrangement, in particular for the temperature control of an electric battery or an electronic component.Conventional temperature control plate arrangements for the temperature control of batteries or electronic components usually consist of two plates which are soldered or welded to one another. In this case, a channel structure is impressed into one of the two plates, through which a temperature control medium can flow, whereas the other of the two plates is of planar design, so that it covers the channel structure and thus closes it. Corresponding connections for introducing the temperature control medium into the channel structure or for discharging the coolant from the channel structure are welded or soldered on depending on the chosen joining method of the two plates. However, both welding and soldering of such connections to one of the two plates proves to be energy-intensive, thus very expensive and also prone to errors, which can lead to comparatively high leakage rates in series production. In addition, the material used in the soldering operation becomes soft, so that additional measures must be taken to increase the strength. In addition, the flux used during soldering must be removed again with subsequent rinsing processes in a complicated manner. During welding, the material can become soft at least in the region of the weld seam as a result of heat input. It has proven disadvantageous in the case of plates bonded to one another that temperature control connections can no longer be soldered or welded on after the plates are bonded, since otherwise the adhesive used for bonding the two plates could be damaged by local heat input. All the disadvantages mentioned ultimately also lead to an undesirable increase in costs during the production of the temperature control plate arrangement. It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide an improved temperature control plate arrangement with a temperature control medium connection, which can be produced particularly simply and thus cost-effectively.This object is achieved by the subject matter of the independent claims. Preferred embodiments are the subject of the dependent claims. The basic idea of the invention is therefore that the plate of the temperature control plate arrangement having the channel structure-this is referred to below as "channel plate"-is not produced as usual from a metal, but from a plastic. This makes it possible to mold or also install not only said channel structure during the production of the channel plate, but also the required temperature control medium connections. According to the invention, said channel plate is glued to a cover plate made of a metal, which cover and fluid-tightly seals the channel structure present in the channel plate. Due to the high thermal conductivity of the cover plate, the entire heat transfer between the temperature control medium guided through the channel structure and the component to be temperature controlled can take place exclusively through the metallic cover plate. Since no soldering or welding processes are required at all in the production of the temperature control plate arrangement according to the invention presented here, the above-mentioned disadvantages are dispensed with. In particular, it is ensured that the adhesive connection between the channel plate and the cover plate is not produced by soldering or soldering. Welding process is damaged. The risk of the aforementioned undesired reduction in strength is also avoided. The removal of flux after the soldering is likewise dispensed with. Finally, the use of plastic instead of a metal for the channel plate is accompanied by a not inconsiderable weight reduction to advantageous weight reduction. As a result, by means of the temperature control plate arrangement according to the invention presented here, a temperature control plate arrangement which is technically very simple and therefore also cost-effectively producible is created.Following the inventive idea explained above, an inventive temperature control plate arrangement comprises a channel plate made of a plastic, in which a channel structure is formed with at least one temperature control medium path through which a temperature control medium can flow. Polyamide (PA) or polypropylene (PP) can be used in particular as the plastic. In both variants, but also in other plastics used, fiber reinforcement can particularly preferably be provided. Furthermore, the temperature control plate arrangement comprises a cover plate made of a metal, which covers the channel structure of the channel plate in a fluid-tight manner. The cover plate is firmly connected to the channel plate, preferably at least along a lateral outer plate edge, by means of an adhesive connection. However, a planar adhesive connection between the channel plate and the cover plate is also conceivable. To produce this adhesive connection, an adhesive can be applied to the channel plate or to the cover plate, but also to both plates. The two plates can then be brought to rest against one another and pressed together, the two are cured by the adhesive and the desired firm connection between remaining plates is produced. According to the invention, at least one aperture for introducing the tempering medium into the channel structure or for discharging the tempering medium from the channel structure is formed in the channel plate and / or in the cover plate. In a preferred embodiment, at least one aperture is arranged in the cover plate. In this embodiment, the temperature control plate arrangement according to the invention for forming a temperature control medium connection comprises at least one pipe socket which passes through the aperture. Such a pipe socket, like the channel plate, can be made of a plastic and advantageously designed individually for specific applications with regard to geometry and dimensioning. Said pipe socket opens with a first end into the channel structure. Thus, temperature control medium flowing through the pipe socket can enter the channel structure or can be discharged from the channel structure. With a second end opposite the first end, the pipe socket protrudes out of the aperture on an outer side of the cover plate facing away from the channel plate. In this way, the pipe socket forms the desired temperature control medium connection, to which an external fluid line or the like can be connected.According to another advantageous development, the pipe socket has a flat pipe socket base in which a through opening is formed, which is aligned with the opening present in the channel plate. Thus, tempering medium passing through the aperture can also flow through the through-opening without any appreciable pressure loss. The socket base can be caulked for fixing the socket between the channel plate and the cover plate. Projecting from the base of the connecting piece perpendicular to the latter is a connecting piece collar which encloses the passage opening and extends through the aperture formed in the channel plate. The connecting piece collar and the aperture provided in the channel plate can be designed and coordinated with one another in such a way that the connecting piece collar bears radially on the outside against a region of the channel plate enclosing the aperture. In addition, a precise positioning of the pipe socket relative to the channel plate or the aperture is ensured. In addition, in this further development, the connecting piece collar projects outwards out of the opening to form the temperature control medium connection.According to a further advantageous development, the socket base bears flat against the cover plate and is also connected to the cover plate by means of an adhesive connection. In this way, the pipe socket can be permanently fixed firmly to the cover plate. The bonding of the pipe socket to the cover plate can be effected simultaneously with the bonding of the cover plate to the channel plate or as part of this bonding process, whereby the assembly of the temperature control plate arrangement or the bonding of the components to one another, i.e. the bonding of channel plate, cover plate and pipe socket to one another, is considerably simplified. In a further preferred embodiment, the pipe socket, preferably the socket base, can be arranged in a sandwich-like manner between the channel plate and the cover plate. Particularly preferably, the pipe socket of the pipe socket base can be supported both on the channel plate and on the cover plate. As a result, the pipe socket is advantageously pre-caulked, in particular before the adhesive bonding to the cover plate.According to another advantageous development, at least one turbulence insert for generating a turbulent flow in the temperature control medium flowing through the channel structure can be arranged between the channel plate and the cover plate, preferably in a sandwich-like manner. In this way, the transfer of heat from the component to be temperature-controlled or to the component to be temperature-controlled can be improvedIn this embodiment, at least one aperture is arranged in the channel plate. In this embodiment, a collar which surrounds the aperture and is integrally formed on the channel plate projects on an outer side of the channel plate facing away from the cover plate in order to form a tempering medium connection. In this embodiment, the desired function of the temperature control medium connection is thus already integrated into the channel plate. This is accompanied by considerable simplifications in the production of the temperature control plate arrangement with temperature control medium connection, in particular if two or more such temperature control medium connections are to be provided. In the simplest case, the temperature control plate arrangement therefore consists only of two components, namely the channel plate and the cover plate, which are firmly joined to one another by means of an adhesive connection. The more such temperature control medium connections formed directly on the channel plate are provided, the greater the resulting cost advantages, since no cost-intensive welding or soldering processes are required. Since the individual components mentioned of the temperature control plate arrangement are connected to one another exclusively by means of an adhesive connection, there is also no risk of cold deformation of the planar cover plate, since the adhesive bonding takes place at significantly lower temperatures than that which was welded or soldered. This also makes it possible to reduce the wall thickness of the cover plate compared to temperature control plate arrangements. Preferably, said collar can be designed as a hollow cylinder, which surrounds an interior space through which the tempering medium can flow. The interior then communicates fluidically with the channel structure via the aperture.Particularly preferably, the channel plate can be formed in one piece. This measure is also accompanied by cost advantages.Particularly preferably, the channel plate can be a plastic injection molded part. Such a plastic injection molded part can be produced cost-effectively and allows a channel structure with a relatively complicated profile of the temperature control medium paths forming the channel structure to be produced in a comparatively simple manner. Application-specific adaptations or variations are thus possible in a simple manner.According to an advantageous development, the channel plate has a plate base which is substantially planar. In this development, the channel structure, in particular the at least one temperature control medium path, is formed by at least one open depression provided on an inner side of the plate base facing the cover plate. In another preferred embodiment, the cover plate is formed by a cover plate, preferably made of aluminum. Such a cover plate can be produced cost-effectively and has a high thermal conductivity, so that the temperature control medium guided through the channel structure can be coupled thermally well to the component to be temperature-controlled.Further important features and advantages of the invention are evident from the dependent claims, from the drawings and from the associated description of the figures with reference to the drawings. It is understood that the features mentioned above and those still to be explained below can be used not only in the respectively specified combination, but also in other combinations or alone, without departing from the scope of the present invention.Preferred exemplary embodiments of the invention are illustrated in the drawings and are explained in more detail in the following description, wherein the same reference numerals refer to the same or similar or functionally the same components. They show, in each case schematically: FIG. 1 shows an example of a temperature control plate arrangement according to the invention in an isometric illustration, FIG. 2 shows, for a first variant of the temperature control plate arrangement of FIG. 1, a detail in the region of an aperture and in a cross section perpendicular to a temperature control medium path, FIG. 3 shows a detail of the temperature control plate arrangement 1 of FIGS. 1 and 2 in the region of the same opening, but in a longitudinal section along the temperature control medium path, FIG. 4 shows, for a second variant of the temperature control plate arrangement of FIG. 1, a detail in the region of an aperture and in a longitudinal section along a temperature control medium path, FIG. 5 shows a detail of the temperature control plate arrangement of FIG. 4 in the region of the same opening, but in a cross section perpendicular to the temperature control medium path, FIG. 6 shows the pipe socket shown in FIGS. 4 and 5 in a separate side view, FIG. 7 shows the pipe socket of FIG. 5 in a top view.FIG. 1 shows an isometric view of an example of a temperature control plate arrangement 1 according to the invention. For this purpose, the first 7 aof the two apertures 7 is fluidically connected to the temperature control medium path 5 forming the temperature control medium distributor 21, and the second 7 bof the two apertures 7 is fluidically connected to the temperature control medium path 5 of the channel structure 4 forming the temperature control medium collector 22. The socket base 11 is arranged in a plane E. From the connection piece base 11, perpendicular to the plane E, along an axial direction A, a connection piece collar 13 projects which encloses the passage opening 12 and reaches through the aperture 7 formed in the channel plate 2. The neck collar 13 extends along an axial direction A, which runs perpendicular to the plane E. The neck collar 13 is formed by a hollow cylinder or by a tubular body 27 which consists of a circumferential wall 25.
