Abstract

This type of gearshift makes things much easier for the cyclist. The wide gear range makes it possible to master all challenges regarding speed and climbing ability. It also doesn't take up any extra space, since a frame is required anyway; it's just a bit wider. Furthermore, the gear system saves costs for the chain, sprockets, and assembly because the chain always runs straight. There are also no double gears like those found with conventional derailleur systems.

Description

[0001] The invention relates to a recumbent bicycle where the gears can be installed at the front of the frame. The chain strand remaining on the rear wheel drive can thus be shifted much more easily without gear steps.

[0002] This invention makes it possible to have a much wider range of gears without overlap.

[0003] And what is actually the most important thing about this invention is that you can cover a speed range in velomobiles that was previously not possible without great effort or friction losses due to gear ratios.

[0004] Calculate the gear ratio at 11 / 46 to 46 / 11, and the final gear ratio on the rear wheel is also flexible and easy to adjust to individual needs thanks to different chainring sizes. This now allows for high speeds and easy uphill rides without having to own two dedicated bikes. This also means I no longer have to worry if a hill appears on an unfamiliar route. The chain also lasts much longer than normal because it always runs straight. It's possible to last up to 10 times longer. (See e-bikes: the entire drivetrain needs to be replaced after approximately 2,000 km.)

[0005] The chainrings also wear much more evenly and therefore last much longer. A chain guard for your trousers is also no longer necessary, as your legs can no longer reach the chain.

[0006] It's also possible to shift up one gear only at the front or rear, which always gives you an intermediate gear and thus doubles the number of gears on the cassette. The crank length is also easy to change, as you don't have to replace the entire crankset, just the individual cranks. This way, you can simply try a different crank length.

[0007] This gear system also protects your joints much more, because you always have the right gear available. Even when traveling with luggage, you don't need to change the gear ratio beforehand.

[0008] Cassettes with 2 to 12 gears can be installed as standard.

[0009] The gear ratio to the rear wheel can be adjusted according to the size of the rear wheel(12). Claims

[1] Bicycle gearshift comprising: a gearshift (1) built into a special bicycle frame consisting of two frame tubes, wherein the front and rear sprockets are fastened to a special shaft by means of a nut (15), wherein the front special bracket (11) where the special shaft (6) is mounted can be moved and fastened on the special bicycle frame (1), wherein the rear bearing bracket (13) can be firmly screwed to the bicycle frame (1) and can be placed further forward or rearward as required, thus the front and rear special bearing brackets (11-13) are not connected to one another, and wherein the shift carriage (8) is fastened in the front special bearing bracket (11) and is always moved when adjusting to the leg length, wherein the rear gearshift is fastened to the rear special bearing bracket (13). [2] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized bythat the gearshift is located between the frame parts and therefore enables a large gear range using small gears. [3] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by This ensures that the chain always runs straight when shifting the front and rear sprockets simultaneously, thus significantly protecting the chain compared to a standard derailleur. The chain's service life is up to 10 times longer. [4] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by The front sprocket is separated from the rear, allowing the pedals to be moved forward or backward to suit the rider. This does not affect the rear chain path to the rear wheel. [5] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 4, characterized by that the front and rear can be shifted separately and you therefore always have an intermediate gear, which doubles the number of gears by twice the number of available chainrings (5). [6] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by that the number of gears can be freely selected depending on the different gear cassettes used or even self-assembled gears. [7] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by that the front special bearing bracket is to be moved on the bicycle frame and fastened with the fastening materials (see pictures 5-6), whereby the rear special bearing bracket can also be screwed tightly. [8] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by that the gear system is installed between the special bicycle frame and therefore does not take up any more space, in contrast to side-mounted gear systems. [9] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by that the rear gear (10) (Fig. 8) is firmly connected to the special axle (6) (Fig. 3) and can thus transfer the power to the rear wheel via a chain. [10] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized bythat the two gear rings (5) (shown in drawing sheet 2) are rotated relative to each other and both have gears of approximately the same size. [11] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by that the gear ratio can be easily adjusted to the size of the rear wheel (12). [12] Bicycle gearshift according to claim 1, characterized by that the two special bearing holders are separated and thus a sufficient distance from each other is guaranteed, so that shifting and driving with an inclined chain is also possible.
