Abstract

The invention relates to a modular system (1) for producing at least two construction variants (2, 3) of a passenger car (5) having a self-supporting body (4), with at least one side frame (8) which at least partially delimits an interior space (6) and a rear-side loading space (7) of the passenger car (5), which side frame has a first side frame part (9) and at least one second side frame part (11) arranged further outward than the first side frame part (9) in the vehicle transverse direction (10) of the passenger car (5), and with two mutually different rear closure modules, in particular tailgates (12, 13), wherein a first of the construction variants (2) of the passenger car (5) has at least one of the side frame parts (9, 11) and a first of the rear closure modules, and the second construction variant (3) of the passenger car (5) has the at least one of the side frame parts (9, 11) and the second rear closure module.
