Abstract
Description
Technical EnvironmentThe invention relates to a goods display for placing on a pallet-shaped base element which is used for the presentation of goods. In addition, the invention relates to a method for producing a product display having the features of a product display that are essential to the invention for placing it on a pallet-shaped base element.Prior ArtGoods displays of the type described at the beginning are preferably used in sales locations such as warehouses, super- or tree markets. When using such goods displays, instead of permanently installed goods racks, they can be set up at particularly interesting locations on the sales surfaces, where they are particularly well within the field of vision of the customers moving in the sales room.Examples of goods displays are known in the prior art, for example, from the documents DE 20 2015 102 755 U1, DE 20 2014 102 903 U1 and DE 20 2004 0 10733 U1. The goods displays disclosed therein have a closed annular base element, on which a preferably U-shaped outer wall is fixed such that it projects upwards. Shelves are arranged at different heights within the interior formed by the U-shaped outer wall, into which shelves corresponding goods can be sorted. The goods displays are placed on pallet-shaped base elements. These base elements usually have an edge dimension of 600×400 mm and are designed as reusable plastic pallets. The goods to be offered are usually not directly stacked on these plastic pallets, since the base elements are only about 150 mm high and the goods stacked thereon would not be convenient for the consumer to grasp. In order that the goods to be offered have a minimum gripping height of, for example, 500 mm, an annular base frame, which corresponds in plan view to the sock element, is preferably made of corrugated cardboard, is placed on the base element.Within the annular base frame a support structure in the form of one or more webs is arranged which is intended to support the stacked goods. A pressure is usually applied to the outer sides of the base frame, which pressure points to the goods to be offered, wherein it should be noted that the rear side of the base frame is usually withdrawn from view by the potential purchaser and is actually superfluous. In order to prevent the stacked goods from falling down, a U-shaped jacket is usually placed on the base frame, which jacket is generally used for product advertising, likewise like the pressure on the sides of the base frame, and is provided with corresponding colored advertising printing. To ensure the stability of both the base frame and the U-shaped jacket, the use of corrugated board at normal height and construction of the structural elements consists of at least 2 m 2 of material.Object of the InventionStarting from the goods displays known from the prior art in the sense of the embodiment mentioned above, the object of the invention is therefore to provide a goods display which, with regard to its material use within the scope of sustainability, requires substantially less resources compared to conventional constructions, which is transportable in a space-saving manner and can be prepared in the shortest time without prior knowledge in such a way that the goods provided for presentation can be stored and offered. In addition, a product display is to be created which can be produced with simple production-related possibilities of corrugated board processing.Solution of the ProblemAccording to the invention, the object set is achieved for a product display of the type described at the beginning with the technical features mentioned in claim 1.Furthermore, a method according to the invention for producing the goods display is disclosed, the essential method steps of which result from the characterizing part of claim 6.According to the invention, for achieving the object of providing a product display with the advantages according to the object, the product display is produced from a rectangular carton blank and can be folded out from a flat folded transport state into a structural state with a rectangular plan view.It is provided with a lower part which is U-shaped in the assembled state and consists of a front wall, a right side wall and a left side wall, wherein the right side wall and the left side wall are each provided with a central, vertically running fold line which divides the right side wall and the left side wall into a front partial region connected to the front wall and a rear partial region facing away from the front wall, and with a U-shaped upper part which consists of a rear wall, a right side wall and a left side wall, wherein the right side wall and the left side wall are designed with double walls with a right inner wall part connected to the rear wall and a right outer wall part bonded to the right inner wall part and with a left inner wall part connected to the rear wall and a left outer wall part bonded to the left inner wall part, the right and left outer wall portions and the right and left inner wall portions are each connected at their front edge facing the front wall of the base with a fold line, and the right outer wall portion is formed integrally with the rear portion of the associated right side wall of the base and the left outer wall portion is formed integrally with the rear portion of the associated left side wall of the base lying in a common vertical plane. The overall construction thus provides two U-shaped elements which are connected to one another at their side walls, the lower part being open at the rear, which, however, remains hidden from the purchaser by the arrangement of the display. Overall, any waste of material is avoided due to the rectangular sheet blank and the use of the entire corrugated cardboard material of the blank. The cut-to-size sheet can be printed beforehand at the areas relevant for the presentation of goods and to be visually observed, which of course saves color resources.Particular embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are additionally evident from the dependent claims which are dependent on claim 1.It has proven to be particularly advantageous that the rear surface of the rear wall of the U-shaped upper part and the inner surfaces of the left side wall and the right side wall and the front wall of the U-shaped lower part are not printed. In order to provide the product display according to the invention with the footprint necessary for the product presentation in the simplest possible manner, it is expedient if the rectangular interior space of the lower part, which is spanned by the front wall, the right side wall and the left side wall in the assembled state, is filled with at least one support component in the form of a three-dimensional cube.Due to the size of the interior space, it has proven advantageous if the support component consists of three identical box-shaped partial elements. The partial elements are preferably of the same size and can be designed as folding boxes. This possibility opens up the possibility of folding the partial elements, as well as the product display according to the invention, flat together and thus of being able to transport them in a space-saving manner. If the partial elements arranged in the interior are not intended to be visible and the load-bearing capacity of the overall structure makes it necessary, a base element for receiving goods to be presented by the goods display can be placed on the upper side of the support component or components facing away from the pallet-shaped base element in the assembled state. The method for producing a product display of the type described above is distinguished in a manner essential to the invention by the following method steps:• Production of a rectangular carton blank• Introduction of two crease lines running parallel to two mutually opposite outer edges at equal distances from these outer edges into the outer regions of the carton blank, so that two edge regions are produced• Introduction into the carton blank of two further fold lines which run parallel to the first fold lines at the same distance as that of the fold lines from the outer edges and are arranged offset inwardly in the abovementioned distance to the centre of the carton blank• Introduction of a cut line (31) running from the crease line to crease line perpendicular to these• Application of adhesive to a rectangular portion (34) of the carton blank, which is bounded by the crease line (23), the fold line (21) and the cut line (31)• Application of adhesive to a rectangular portion (35) of the carton blank defined by the crease line (24), fold line (22) and cut line• folding in the outer edge region defined by the crease line and bonding to the rectangular subregion• folding in the outer edge region defined by the crease line and bonding to the rectangular subregion• Folding the regions glued together inward and rearward, wherein at the same time the non-glued partial regions of the edge regions are folded inward and forward. The method steps described all include measures that can be carried out by conventional processing machines for corrugated board, so that overall the production of the product display according to the invention can be carried out cost-effectively.DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURESAn exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the attached drawings. It shows: FIG. 1 is an overall perspective view of the goods display according to the invention, FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the product display of FIG. 1 together with the base element and additional stabilization elements, FIG. 3 is an overall perspective view of the product display according to the invention in the finished assembled state, FIG. 4 is a perspective top view of the carton blank for the product display, FIG. 5 shows a perspective top view of necessary reserves within the scope of the method steps according to the invention for producing the goods display, FIG. 6 shows a perspective top view of an intermediate stage of the production process, FIG. 7 is a perspective top view to illustrate further folding processes before the end of production; and FIG. 8 shows an overall perspective illustration of the product display according to the invention in the folded transport state. The product display shown in FIG. 1 essentially comprises a lower part 2 and an upper part 14. lower part 2 and upper part 14 are connected to one another via a partial region of their side walls. The lower part consists of a front wall 3 and a right side wall 4 and a left side wall 5. front wall 3 and right side wall 4 are connected to one another via a folding line 6, which allows the two parts to be brought into an abutment position with respect to one another, which is necessary within the framework of the transport state of the goods display, the folding line 6 simultaneously allows a perpendicular position of the components with respect to one another, as is shown in FIG. 1 and corresponds to the structural state of the goods display.Analogously to this, the front wall 3 is connected via the bending line 7 to the left side wall 5, which likewise enables a position of contact of the components with respect to one another and a position of construction into a position at right angles to one another. In the middle of the right side wall 4 there is a fold line 8 which divides the right side wall 4 into a front portion 10 and a rear portion 11.On the opposite side, the left side wall 5 is divided analogously by a fold line 9 into a front partial region 12 and a rear partial region 13. In the assembled state, a U-shaped plan view is thus obtained, wherein the lower part 2 is open to the rear. The above-mentioned upper part 14 is likewise of U-shaped construction in plan view. It consists of a rear wall 25 and a right side wall 15 and a left side wall 16. The right side wall 15 and the left side wall 16 are of double-layered construction and consist, with respect to the right side wall 15, of a right inner wall part 18 and a right outer wall part 17. the parts 17 and 18 are coupled to one another at their front edge via a fold line 21 and are simultaneously glued to one another.Analogously to this, the left side wall 16 consists of a left inner wall part 20 and a left outer wall part 19, which are coupled to one another via a fold line 22 and are simultaneously glued to one another. In the construction according to the invention, the right outer wall part 17 and the left outer wall part 19 are embodied integrally with the rear partial region 11 of the side wall 4, the left outer wall part 19 being embodied integrally with the rear partial region 13 of the left side wall 5.In the assembled state of the product display according to the invention, a rectangular outline is thus obtained overall with the lower part 2 opened to the rear side and the upper part 14 opened to the front side.It can also be seen from FIG. 1 by means of the indications "PRINT" applied graphically to the individual surfaces of the lower part 2 and upper part 14 that these surfaces have been printed in order to give the consumer an indication function on the displayed goods. Thus, it is clear that the rear surface of the rear wall 25 and the inner surfaces of the right side wall 4 of the base 2, the inner surface of the left side wall 5 of the base 2, and the inner surface of the front wall 3 are unprinted. The product display shown in perspective in the assembled state in FIG. 1 can be transferred, due to its special construction, into a folded transport state, as shown in the illustration of FIG. 8.For additional stabilization and for providing a support surface for the goods to be presented, the overall design provides for one or more support elements 27, 28 and 29 to be inserted into the interior 26 which is spanned by the front wall 3 and the right side wall 4 and the left side wall 5, which support elements are designed as a three-dimensional cube and represent conventional folding carton constructions and form the base on their upper side for a base element 30, which is placed on the upper side of the support elements 27, 28 and 29 for reasons of load-bearing capacity, but also for reasons of aesthetic. The process sequence for producing the above-described goods display is explained in more detail below. As a first production step, a rectangular carton blank is first produced. The following steps are then carried out on this rectangular carton blank:introducing two fold lines 23, 24 running parallel to two mutually opposite outer edges 32, 33 at equal distances from these outer edges 32, 33 into the outer regions of the carton blank, resulting in two edge regions 36, 37. The edge regions are foldable relative to the central region of the carton blank both in the direction of the front side and in the direction of the rear side due to the crease lines 23, 24.Thereafter, two further fold lines 8, 9, 21, 22 which extend parallel to the first fold lines 23, 24 at the same distance as that of the fold lines 23, 24 from the outer edges (32, 33) and which are arranged offset inwardly in the above-mentioned distance from the center of the carton blank are introduced into the carton blank. The mentioned fold lines 8 and 9 belong to the lower part 2, the fold lines 21 and 22 belong to the upper part 14, and this distinction is necessary since the corrugated cardboard panels connected to one another by the mentioned fold lines are folded in different directions (forwards or backwards) in the assembled state of the goods display. As a next method step, a cutting line 31 is introduced which runs from the bending line 23 to the bending line 24 perpendicular to the latter. The cutting line 31, the folding lines 23 and 24 and the folding lines 21 and 22 define portions of the carton blank to which an adhesive is applied in a next following working step. In particular, these are a rectangular portion 34 of the carton blank bounded by the crease line 23, the fold line 21 and the cut line 31 and the rectangular portion 35 of the carton blank bounded by the crease line 24, the fold line 22 and the cut line 31.The application of adhesive is illustrated in FIG. 5. Then, as is also shown in FIG. 5, the outer edge region 36 defined by the bending line 23 is folded in and bonded to the rectangular subregion 34.Analogously to this, the subsequent working step provides folding in of the outer edge region 37 defined by the crease line 24 and adhesion to the rectangular subregion 35.FIG. 6 shows the carton blank after completion of the method steps described so far. In FIG. 6, the front side of the carton blank is defined by the indication VS. This is important for understanding, since the carton blank has to be rotated through 180° in the following, so that the rear side marked RS in FIG. 7 points upward. The glued regions 34, 36, 35, 37 are then folded inwards and forwards, wherein the non-glued partial regions of the edge regions 36, 37 which are foldable separately from the upper glued regions 34, 35, 36 and 37 by the cutting line 31 are simultaneously folded inwards and backwards. This folding process is somewhat difficult to understand, but is sufficiently clear when viewing FIGS. 7 and 8 together. After the final folding operation, a product display in the folded transport state results. For the assembled state, the right edge region 36 and the left edge region 37 are folded up at right angles with respect to the rear wall 25, wherein the folded right side wall 4 of the lower part 2 and the left side wall 5 of the lower part 2 with their front partial regions 10 and 12 and their rear partial regions 11 and 13 are simultaneously brought into a common plane at right angles to the front wall 3 by the connection between the upper part 14 and the lower part 2.Subsequently, the ready-constructed goods display can be provided with the support elements 27, 28 and 29 in the interior 26 of the base part 2, as already described above, and the base element 30 can then be placed on the support elements 27, 28 and 29. Thus, the goods display is ready for receiving the goods to be presented.List of reference numbers:1 Base element 2 Lower part 3 Front wall (lower part) 4 Right side wall (lower part) 5 Left side wall (lower part) 6 Bending line (front wall / right side wall 4) 7 Bending line (front wall / left side wall 5) 8 Folding line (right side wall) 9 Folding line (left side wall) 10 Front subregion (right side wall 4) 11 Rear subregion (right side wall 4)) 12 Front subregion (left side wall 5) 13 Rear subregion (left side wall 5) 14 Upper part 15 Right side wall (upper part) 16 Left side wall (upper part) 17 Right outer wall part 18 Right inner wall part 19 Left outer wall part 20 Left inner wall part 21 Folding line (right inner wall part 18 / right outer wall part 17) 22 Folding line (left inner wall part 20 / left outer wall part 19) 23 Bending line (rear wall / right outer wall part Outer wall part 19) 24 Bending line (rear wall / left outer wall part 20) 25 Rear wall 26 Interior 27 Supporting element 28 Supporting element 29 Supporting element 30 Base element 31 Cutting line 32 Right outer edge 33 Left outer edge 34 Right subregion 35 Left subregion 36 Right edge region 37 Left edge region
