Abstract

Disclosed is a medical transfer system (14, 18) for use with a medical peristaltic pump (1) comprising at least one tube (14) designed and configured to be inserted section by section into a tube receptacle (12) or pump section of the peristaltic pump (1) and to transfer a fluid from a reservoir to a patient, a permanently attached tube clamp (18) on the tube (14) designed and configured to be inserted into a receptacle (22) of the peristaltic pump (1), irradiated with light (26') in the visible spectrum (L) and with light (28') in an invisible spectrum (NIR), whereby its remission (Rist,L) in the visible spectrum (L) and its remission (Rist,NIR) in the invisible spectrum (NIR) is detected, and a predetermined reference remission (Rref,L) of the tube clamp (18) in the visible spectrum (L) is assigned a predetermined operating parameter of the peristaltic pump (1).wherein the predetermined operating parameter can be activated by detecting the predetermined reference remission (Rref,L) of the tubing clamp (18) in the visible spectrum (L), and a predetermined reference remission (Rref,NIR) of the tubing clamp (18) in the invisible spectrum (NIR), to which a predetermined attribute of the transfer system (14, 18) is assigned, wherein the predetermined operating parameter of the peristaltic pump (1) can be activated by detecting the predetermined reference remission (Rref,NIR) of the tubing clamp (18) in the invisible spectrum (NIR) and can be locked by detecting a sufficient deviation (ANIR) from the predetermined reference remission (Rref,NIR) of the tubing clamp (18) in the invisible spectrum (NIR). A medical peristaltic pump (1) for use with a transfer system (14, 18) and a method for controlling the peristaltic pump (1) are also disclosed.
