Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a device for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets, with which a wall-hung toilet can be positioned in the intended mounting position on a wall and then firmly attached to the wall with the special fastening means.
[0002] Currently, wall-hung toilets are usually installed by two people or with the assistance of mechanical lifting devices. These are often made of metal or plastic and are expensive to purchase and bulky to handle.
[0003] Furthermore, state-of-the-art lifting devices are heavy, which makes transport and storage disadvantageous.
[0004] The object of the invention is therefore to create a new device to support the installation of wall-hung toilets, which is simple in design and enables the installation of wall-hung toilets by only one person and is also universal.
[0005] The solution to the problem results from a device for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets according to claim 1, which reads as follows: Device for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets, characterized in that the device is formed from a mounting block made essentially of cardboard, which has a cavity on the top side for receiving a drain elbow of the wall-hung toilet and a surrounding shelf for the underside of the wall-hung toilet, wherein the height of the mounting block is adapted to the mounting height of the wall-hung toilet.
[0006] The device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets is initially made cost-effectively from sturdy cardboard, which is designed to support the weight of the toilet and relieve the installer during installation.
[0007] According to the invention, the wall-mounted toilet, which is securely arranged on the device, is pushed to the intended mounting position on the wall by just one installer, so that the toilet can be fixed in the desired position on the wall.
[0008] This advantageously reduces the need for physical exertion and lowers the risk of injury and misalignment during the installation process.
[0009] In one embodiment of the invention, the mounting block is designed as a straight-edged U-profile, which advantageously provides, on the one hand, a three-sided circumferential support surface and, on the other hand, a cavity for removing the drain bend.
[0010] Advantageously, in a further embodiment, the mounting block can be formed from a honeycomb structure board made of cardboard, which is wrapped in corrugated paper and kraft paper.
[0011] It is also conceivable that the mounting block is formed from several honeycomb structure panels glued together, with the shape of the mounting block being adapted to the internal dimensions of a packaging box for the wall-hung toilet. This has the advantage that the mounting block then provides a certain degree of protection for the sensitive wall-hung toilet within the transport box.
[0012] In summary, the advantages of the device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets are, firstly, that ergonomically advantageous, only one installer can precisely mount the toilet at the desired height on the wall without great physical effort, thus making the entire installation process more efficient.
[0013] Furthermore, the device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets can be implemented at low cost, since the mounting block consists of a cardboard product that is inexpensive to manufacture and can be disposed of at low cost.
[0014] Provided that the cardboard is made from recycled products, the device according to the invention for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets can be seen as a sustainable product, with the low weight and easy transport of this device also resulting in a low ecological footprint.
[0015] Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description of an exemplary embodiment. It shows: Fig. 1. Illustration of a wall-hung toilet in side view, Fig. 2 diagonal exploded views of wall-hung toilet and mounting block, Fig. 3 different illustrations of a mounting block designed as a straight-edged U-profile and Fig. 4 Illustration of a wall-hung toilet positioned with a mounting block
[0016] In the figures, a device for supporting the installation of wall-hung toilets - hereinafter referred to as mounting block - is designated in its entirety by the reference numeral 10.
[0017] In the exemplary embodiment, the mounting block 10 is designed as a straight-edged U-profile 11 and has a base part 12 and two legs 13. A cavity 14 is arranged between the legs 13.
[0018] The base part 12 has a width of 37 cm, with the legs 13, each with a length of 32 cm, being arranged in a form-fitting manner at the end of the base part 12 facing the wall W (see Fig. 3a -c).
[0019] In the Fig. Figure 3c shows the internal structure of the straight-edged U-profile 11. It has two honeycomb panels WP, each approximately 5 cm thick, a corrugated cardboard P surrounding the honeycomb panel WP and a covering made of kraft paper K.
[0020] In the Fig. Figure 1 schematically shows a wall-mounted toilet 15 with sanitary ceramics 16, lid 17 and the drain bend 18 protruding from the contour from below.
[0021] How in particular the Fig. 2 and Fig. 4 in connection with the Fig. As shown in Figure 3, the mounting block 10 has a U-shaped support surface 19 on its upper side facing the wall-hung toilet 15, which encompasses the cavity 14 on which the underside 20 of the wall-hung toilet 15 rests in the mounting position ( Fig. 4) is stored, with the drain bend 18 immersing into the cavity 14.
[0022] For the purpose of installing the wall-hung toilet at the designated location, the wall-hung toilet 15, along with any mounting block 10 already attached underneath, is removed from its shipping packaging and then moved to the desired wall position in a bathroom. In the desired position, the wall-hung toilet 15, resting entirely on the mounting block 10, can then be easily and ergonomically positioned on the wall W by an installer using special fasteners.
[0023] After the wall-hung toilet 15 has been attached to the wall W, the mounting block 10 under the wall-hung toilet 15 simply needs to be pulled away and the installation is complete.
