Description

[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle according to the preamble of claim 1 with an electric drive, wherein the motor vehicle comprises: a front frame structure with at least two longitudinal members, a cross member connecting the two longitudinal members in the vehicle width direction and an auxiliary member arranged in the vehicle longitudinal direction in front of the cross member between the longitudinal members; an electric motor with an electric motor housing on which a front bearing element is arranged, wherein the bearing element is supported on the auxiliary member.

[0002] Such a motor vehicle is known, for example, from DE 10 2018 126 641 A1. Another electric vehicle is known, for example, from the as yet unpublished DE 10 2024 119 845.1 of the same applicant. Furthermore, a front frame structure is known from DE 10 2019 201 145 A1, in which specially adapted transition elements are provided between the respective longitudinal members and an electric motor housing. For the technological background, reference is also made to DE 10 2011 102 322 A1, DE 10 2017 217 931 A1, JP 2012 / 153195 A and WO 2020 / 225201 A1.

[0003] In the case of a front frame structure, as proposed by the applicant herself in DE 10 2024 119 845.1, it is necessary during manufacturing that the electric motor to be mounted, with its rear, lateral bearing elements, is inserted precisely between the longitudinal beams and the support elements attached to a crossbeam. Damage can occur, particularly to the support elements, if the insertion of the bearing elements is not sufficiently precise.

[0004] The object underlying the invention is seen as being to provide an electric vehicle in which the above disadvantages in manufacturing can be avoided.

[0005] This problem is solved by a motor vehicle with the features of the independent patent claim. Advantageous embodiments with appropriate further developments are specified in the dependent patent claim.

[0006] The proposed vehicle is therefore an electric motor vehicle comprising: a front frame structure with at least two longitudinal members, a cross member connecting the two longitudinal members in the vehicle's width direction, and an auxiliary member arranged in the vehicle's longitudinal direction in front of the cross member between the longitudinal members; an electric motor with an electric motor housing on which a front bearing element is arranged, the bearing element being supported on the auxiliary member. It is provided that the electric motor housing has two rear, laterally arranged bearing elements, each with a threaded bore extending in the vehicle's width direction, and that each rear bearing element of the electric motor housing rests against the respective longitudinal member and is directly bolted to it.

[0007] This allows the electric motor to be attached to the longitudinal member quickly and easily, without the need for additional intermediate or support elements that would otherwise have to be used or considered when inserting the electric motor into the body. Such a direct bolting connection enables a so-called single-cut attachment of the electric motor to the two longitudinal members.

[0008] The vehicle features an access opening on each longitudinal member, extending across the width of the vehicle and dimensioned to allow the insertion of a screwdriver towards the bolting point of the respective rear bearing element. Providing the bolting point across the width of the vehicle, in combination with the access opening in the longitudinal member, enables efficient and ergonomic manufacturing, as it eliminates the need for fastening methods such as bolting from above or below the vehicle's height.

[0009] In the vehicle, the access opening can be positioned on the longitudinal member such that, relative to the vehicle's longitudinal direction, it is located between a brake disc of a respective front wheel and a footwell crossmember of the front frame structure. This not only ensures optimal accessibility during manufacturing, but also allows the electric motor to be bolted down on the finished vehicle without further access problems should the electric motor need to be removed or replaced.

[0010] Further advantages and details of the invention will become apparent from the following description of embodiments with reference to the figures. These show: Fig. 1 a simplified and schematic perspective view of a front frame structure of an electric motor vehicle; Fig. 2 a simplified and schematic sectional view through a longitudinal beam and a bearing element of an electric motor; Fig. 3 a simplified and schematic partial sectional view of the same longitudinal beam and bearing element of the Fig. 2.

[0011] In Fig. Figure 1 is a simplified and schematic perspective partial view of a front frame structure 10 for a chassis of an electric vehicle 12 illustrated as a dash-dotted rectangle.

[0012] The front frame structure 10 comprises at least two longitudinal beams 14. The two longitudinal beams 14 are connected, particularly in the area in front of a vehicle cabin (not shown), to a crossbeam 16 extending in the vehicle width direction Y. The crossbeam 16 can also be part of a partition 16t between the engine compartment and the vehicle cabin. The frame structure 10 further comprises an auxiliary beam 26 arranged in the vehicle longitudinal direction X in front of the crossbeam 16 between the longitudinal beams 14.

[0013] An electric motor 18 is arranged between the longitudinal beams 14 and is also mounted or attached to them. The electric motor 18 has an electric motor housing 18g on which a front bearing element 19v is arranged, the bearing element 19v being supported on the auxiliary beam 26.

[0014] The electric motor housing 18g has two rear, laterally arranged bearing elements 19h, which serve to fasten the electric motor 18 to the longitudinal beams 14, as will be described below with reference to the Fig. 2 and Fig. 3 is described in more detail.

[0015] In Fig. Figure 2 shows a simplified and schematic sectional view through the left longitudinal member 14 (relating to a forward direction of the vehicle). Fig. Figure 3 shows a partial sectional view of the same area from a slightly oblique angle above. Both figures will be referred to simultaneously for further explanation below.

[0016] From the presentation of Fig. Figure 2 shows that the bearing element 19h is designed with a threaded bore 19b extending in the vehicle width direction Y. The rear bearing element 19h of the in Fig. 3 partially visible electric motor housing 18g lies against the longitudinal beam 14, in particular on its inner side 14i, and is fastened by means of a screw 24s ( Fig. 2) screwed to it.

[0017] Out of Fig. Figure 3 shows that an access opening 20 is formed on the longitudinal member 14, which extends in the vehicle width direction Y and which is dimensioned such that a screwing tool can be inserted through the access opening 20 in the direction of the screw connection 24s ( Fig. 2) of the rear bearing element 19h can be inserted.

[0018] The access opening 20 can be provided on the longitudinal member 14 in such a way that, with respect to the longitudinal direction X of the vehicle, it is arranged between a brake disc of a respective front wheel (not shown) and a footwell cross member of the front frame structure 10.

[0019] For the sake of completeness, it should be noted that the above description with reference to the left longitudinal member or the bearing element 19h of the electric motor 18 or the electric motor housing 18g attached there also applies to the one from the Fig. 1 visible right longitudinal beam 14 and the bearing element 19h attached there applies.

[0020] In the frame structure 10 described above, the electric motor 18 is attached quickly and easily to the longitudinal members 14 without the need for additional intermediate or support elements that would otherwise be required when inserting the electric motor 18 into the body or frame structure 10. Furthermore, the screw fastening (screw 24s) in the vehicle width direction Y, in combination with the access opening 20 in the longitudinal member 14, enables efficient and ergonomic manufacturing, because fastening methods such as screw fastening in the vehicle height direction Z, i.e., from above or below, can be avoided.
