Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a motor vehicle with a refrigerator.
[0002] Vehicles are typically used not only for transportation purposes, but also for leisure activities or as lifestyle products. Accordingly, users demand extensive adaptation of vehicle equipment to their personal needs in a variety of life situations.
[0003] Among other things, pick-up trucks are sometimes viewed more as lifestyle vehicles than as commercial vehicles. Here, the loading area is sometimes used for several people to meet and spend time together. Such users desire more comfort and accessibility of items in this area of the vehicle.
[0004] There are different approaches to providing access to objects stored in the exterior of a motor vehicle.
[0005] DE202017105430U1 discloses a side wall assembly comprising a side wall, a first access flap contained in the side wall, a window pocket extending through the side wall and the first access flap; and a window that is movable between an extended position protruding from the side wall and a retracted position held in the window pocket. This allows for flexible provision of additional space for accommodating persons or accommodating cargo.
[0006] The invention is based on the object of providing a motor vehicle which increases the availability of refrigerated products inside and outside the motor vehicle in a space-saving and cost-effective manner.
[0007] This object is achieved by the motor vehicle according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments of the motor vehicle are specified in subclaims 2-10.
[0008] A first aspect of the invention is a motor vehicle comprising a passenger compartment and a refrigerator arranged in or on a wall of the passenger compartment, wherein the refrigerator can be opened both toward the passenger compartment and toward the outside environment. The motor vehicle is, for example, a passenger car, although alternatively, the motor vehicle can also be an off-road vehicle, a minibus, a station wagon, or a van.
[0009] The passenger compartment serves to accommodate the vehicle's occupants and can also be referred to as the vehicle cabin or driver's cab. The passenger compartment wall is a wall or body element that separates the passenger compartment from the outside. The described design of the motor vehicle makes it possible to access the refrigerator permanently installed in the vehicle from both the interior and the exterior.
[0010] In an advantageous embodiment of the refrigerator, the openable sides of the refrigerator are arranged opposite one another. For example, in a cuboid-shaped refrigerator, the openable sides are formed on two opposing surfaces of the refrigerator.
[0011] Furthermore, the refrigerator can be closed with a flap or door on at least one of its openable sides. The flap or door allows for a large opening of the refrigerator. If necessary, one side of the refrigerator can be opened completely through the flap or door.
[0012] The refrigerator can further comprise at least one guide system with which at least one insert of the refrigerator can be moved at least partially out of the refrigerator, guided on at least one openable side of the refrigerator. The guide system can be designed such that the insert can be moved at least partially out of the refrigerator, guided on one openable side of the refrigerator, or at least partially out of the refrigerator, guided on both openable sides of the refrigerator. For this purpose, the refrigerator can comprise guide rails on or along which the insert can be moved and displaced using suitable guided elements, such as wheels or sliding elements. The guide system is designed such that the insert can be moved manually. In general, such a guide system can be designed like that of a drawer, and the insert can be designed accordingly as a drawer.
[0013] A refrigerator's cooling unit can be located in the passenger compartment or outside on or in the vehicle. It is not excluded that the cooling unit could be located relatively far from the refrigerator's cooling compartment. This refrigerator allows for active cooling, although a design in which the refrigerator has no active cooling or cooling unit, and is thus designed similarly to a cool box, should not be ruled out.
[0014] The refrigerator can be located in or on the rear of the passenger compartment. This means that in this embodiment of the motor vehicle, the refrigerator is positioned in the part of the passenger compartment behind the front seats, possibly in the area of the rear seat.
[0015] An advantageous embodiment of the motor vehicle provides that the motor vehicle is a pickup truck, and the refrigerator is arranged in or on a wall of the passenger compartment bordering the rear compartment, so that the refrigerator can be opened toward the passenger compartment as well as toward a loading area of the pickup truck. This allows access to the refrigerator permanently installed in the vehicle from both the interior and the loading area.
[0016] In this embodiment, the refrigerator is located at the very rear of the passenger compartment, directly adjacent to the loading area or above the loading area.
[0017] In an advantageous embodiment, the guided movement of the insert takes place along the vehicle's longitudinal direction and thus toward the loading area, or above the loading area of the pickup truck toward the rear of the vehicle. Alternatively, the refrigerator can also be arranged in the rear door of a minibus or van, so that the refrigerator can be opened toward the passenger compartment as well as toward the vehicle's exterior.
[0018] Furthermore, the refrigerator can have at least one flap with which the refrigerator can be opened either toward the passenger compartment or toward the outside environment, wherein the flap can be pivoted about a horizontal pivot axis. For example, the flap can be hinged at the bottom of the refrigerator. Alternatively, one or more hinges can also be provided at other positions on the refrigerator. If a door is used to close an openable side, it can be pivoted about a vertical axis.
[0019] To prevent unauthorized access to the refrigerator, the motor vehicle can be equipped with a central locking system, with at least one flap or door being integrated into the central locking system in such a way that locking or unlocking the motor vehicle via the central locking system also locks or unlocks the flap or door integrated into the central locking system. Such a central locking system can be controlled, for example, via a radio-controlled vehicle key.
[0020] In an alternative embodiment of the motor vehicle, or in addition to the central locking system, the motor vehicle is provided with a refrigerator locking system, and at least one flap or door can be controlled by the refrigerator locking system in such a way that the flap or door can be locked or unlocked by means of the refrigerator locking system. Such a separate refrigerator lock can also be implemented in one embodiment via a vehicle key, for example, via a separate button on the key that only unlocks or locks the refrigerator.
[0021] A locking system ensures that no unauthorized persons can gain access to the contents of the refrigerator. One embodiment provides for such a refrigerator locking system to be present in addition to a central locking system, so that the refrigerator door or flap can be locked or unlocked using both the central locking system and the refrigerator locking system.
[0022] The motor vehicle may be a vehicle that is at least partially driven by an electric motor and may optionally be at least partially autonomously operated.
[0023] The invention is explained below with reference to the embodiment shown in the accompanying drawings.
[0024] It shows Fig. 1: a motor vehicle in side view, and Fig. 2: a view of the rear seat with refrigerator.
[0025] Motor vehicle 1 in its version as a pick-up truck is in Fig. 1 and has a loading area 2 adjacent to a passenger compartment 10. The passenger compartment 10 comprises a rear compartment 11 as an area behind the front seats 20, which essentially ends at the rear seat bench 21 along the direction of travel of the motor vehicle.
[0026] The rear compartment 11 or the entire passenger compartment 10 is separated from the loading area 2 and thus also from the external environment 3 by a wall 12. This wall can, for example, be a body element of the motor vehicle 1.
[0027] A refrigerator 30 is arranged in the wall 12 so that it penetrates the wall 12. The refrigerator 30 has openings on two opposite sides, namely an opening to the passenger compartment 31 and an opening to the environment 32. The opening to the environment 32 is thus accessible from the loading area 2.
[0028] The opening to the passenger compartment 31 can be closed with a first flap 33, and the opening to the environment 32 can be closed with a second flap 34, wherein Fig. 1, the two flaps 33, 34 are shown in a half-open state. The first flap 33 is connected to a housing of the refrigerator 30 via a first horizontal pivot axis 35, and the second flap 34 is connected to the housing of the refrigerator 30 via a second horizontal pivot axis 36.
[0029] Because the refrigerator 30 can be opened from both sides, the contents of the refrigerator 30 can be accessed from the passenger compartment 10 or the rear compartment 11, as well as from the loading area 2 or the external environment 3. This increases the comfort for users of the pickup truck when they are on the loading area 2, without having to forego the availability of food contained in the refrigerator 30 in the passenger compartment 10.
[0030] Fig. Figure 2 shows a view of the rear seat bench 21 of the motor vehicle. Here, it can be seen that the refrigerator 30 is positioned centrally between two seats of the rear seat bench 21. The first flap 33 of the refrigerator 30 is open. Inside the refrigerator 30, an insert 40 can be seen, which can be moved out of the refrigerator 30 and back in again by means of a guide system not shown in detail here.
