Abstract
Description
Background of the invention
[0001] The invention relates to a wallpapering device for wallpapering.
[0002] Various tools are used for wallpapering. A wallpaper brush allows you to press the wallpaper against the wall with even pressure, removing air bubbles between the wall and the brush. A spatula can be used, among other things, for cutting wallpaper, especially strips. A seam roller is used to further press the seams and edges of wallpaper strips against the wall. This helps prevent visible overlaps between strips.
[0003] When wallpapering, handling the aforementioned tools leads to a delay in the wallpapering process. To reduce this delay, a wallpapering brush with an integrated edge roller is known from DE 299 06 650 U1. Furthermore, a wallpapering brush with a built-in plumb bob is known from DE 1 908 768 U.
[0004] Even when using wallpapering brushes according to the aforementioned printed materials, the wallpapering process is delayed. Object of the invention
[0005] The object of the invention is to provide a wallpapering device with which the duration of a wallpapering process can be further reduced. Description of the invention
[0006] This problem is solved according to the invention by a wallpapering device according to claim 1. Advantageous embodiments are set out in the dependent claims relating to the reverse.
[0007] The wallpapering device has the following features: - A wallpapering brush with a brush body; - Upholstery bristles on an underside of the brush body, wherein a body axis of the brush body runs parallel to the underside of the brush body from a first lateral end to a second lateral end of the brush body; - A seam roller that rotates around a pivot axis and is connected to the brush body; - A spatula that is attached to the brush body.
[0008] In addition to a wallpapering brush and a seam roller, a spatula is also integrated into the wallpapering jig. This allows the entire process of pressing wallpaper onto a wall, cutting wallpaper strips, and smoothing seams and edges to the wall to be carried out using the jig. This eliminates the need to manually switch between the aforementioned tools during wallpapering, resulting in significant time savings.
[0009] In an advantageous embodiment of the wallpapering device, the spatula is attached to the upper side of the brush body, with the upper side facing the lower side of the brush body. This allows the spatula to be held securely on the brush body and to be formed with comparatively long edges.
[0010] An advantageous embodiment of the wallpapering device is one that includes a handle, wherein the handle is at least partially positioned next to the spatula in the direction of the body axis. A handle facilitates the handling of the wallpapering device. Its position next to the spatula makes the handle easily accessible.
[0011] In a further development of the aforementioned embodiment, the wallpapering device has a recess, in particular a through-hole. This further facilitates the handling of the wallpapering device. The hand of a user of the wallpapering device can be positioned closer to the center of gravity of the device or its geometric center. The fingers are thus kept away from the spatula and the seam roller when using the wallpapering device.
[0012] An advantageous embodiment involves the spatula being designed as a trapezoidal spatula. In this embodiment, the spatula can be securely mounted to the brush body, and it typically also features a relatively large working edge for cutting wallpaper. Specifically, the shorter of two parallel edges of the trapezoidal spatula can be firmly attached to the brush body, while the longer edge extends from the brush body to cut wallpaper.
[0013] In a preferred embodiment, the wallpapering device has an additional spatula. This allows the wallpaper to be cut with only a slight change in the position of the wallpapering device.
[0014] In a further development of the aforementioned embodiment, the gripping area is formed between the spatula and the additional spatula. This makes the necessary adjustment of the wallpapering device's position when cutting the wallpaper particularly minimal.
[0015] A preferred embodiment of the wallpapering device is in which the seam roller is positioned at or adjacent to one of the lateral ends of the brush body, wherein, in particular, the seam roller is arranged partially or completely outside the brush body in the direction of the body axis. This means that the wallpapering device only needs to be pivoted slightly to use the seam roller during the wallpapering process after the spatula or bristles have been used.
[0016] An advantageous embodiment of the wallpapering device is one in which the axis of rotation of the seam roller is aligned parallel to the underside of the brush body. This makes the seam roller particularly easy to use in cases where the wallpapering device needs to be guided perpendicular to the wallpaper edges in order to smooth the transition between wallpaper strips.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment of the wallpapering device, the axis of rotation of the seam roller is aligned perpendicular to the underside of the brush body. This makes the seam roller particularly easy to use in cases where the wallpapering device is to be guided parallel to wallpaper edges in order to smooth the transition between wallpaper strips.
[0018] An advantageous embodiment of the wallpapering device is one in which the device has an alignment indicator, the alignment indicator being attached to the brush body, and in particular the alignment indicator being designed as a spirit level. This facilitates the alignment of the wallpapering device.
[0019] Further advantages of the invention will become apparent from the description and the drawing. Likewise, the features mentioned above and those described in more detail below can each be used individually or in any combination according to the invention. The embodiments shown and described are not to be understood as an exhaustive list, but rather serve as examples for illustrating the invention.
