Abstract

Information provision device that provides information about a charging station (130, 131) for a vehicle (140-143) that requires charging and that includes: a charging station information retrieval device (S15) for retrieving information about charging stations (130, 131); a traffic flow retrieval device (S16) for retrieving a traffic flow of vehicles (140-143) using external electrical power near each of the charging stations (130, 131) about which the information is retrieved by the charging station information retrieval device (S15);and a charging station determination device (S17) for determining the charging station (130, 131) about which the information is to be provided from the charging stations (130, 131) about which the information is obtained by the charging station information procurement device (S15), based on the traffic flow of vehicles (140-143) in the vicinity of each of the charging stations (130, 131) using external electrical power, as obtained by the traffic flow procurement device (S16); wherein the traffic flow is the number of vehicles (140-143) using external electrical power and traveling within a predetermined area from the charging station (130, 131) on one or more roads near the charging station (130, 131).
