[0003] Patent Literature 1: Unexamined Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2005-212870 Brief description of the inventionTechnical problem
[0004] Packaging components as described in Patent Literature 1 are typically stored in a folded state to reduce the space required for accommodating the packaging components. Such packaging components as described in Patent Literature 1 are designed for storage and delivery in a folded and stacked state. The construction of such packaging components as described in Patent Literature 1 has a problem described below when the packaging components are subjected to quality inspection in the stacked state. Namely, since identification marks are provided on each flap, the identification marks, except for the identification mark on the topmost packaging component, are concealed and no longer visible in this state. Therefore, for such packaging components as described in Patent Literature 1, quality inspection of the packaging components requires checking the identification mark of each stacked packaging component in turn, starting from the identification mark on the topmost packaging component. This increases the labor burden for quality inspection.
[0005] The present disclosure is directed to solving the above-mentioned problem, and it is therefore an object of the present disclosure to provide a packaging component designed to enable easy visual inspection of the quality of each packaging component even when a plurality of packaging components are in a folded and stacked state. Solution to the problem
[0006] A packaging component according to an embodiment of the present disclosure comprises a first outer packaging part and a second outer packaging part defining a box-shaped side wall. The first outer packaging part comprises a first side part, a first crease part, and a first connecting part. The first side part defines a portion of an outer surface of the side wall. The first crease part is arranged along an edge of the first side part and has a first identification part that presents information related to the first outer packaging part. The first connecting part is connected to the first side part via the first crease part. The second outer packaging part is connected to the first connecting part such that the second outer packaging part is adjacent to the first crease part and the first side part. The second outer packaging part has a second side part that defines another portion of the outer surface of the side wall. Advantageous effects of the invention
[0007] According to one embodiment of the present disclosure, even when a plurality of packaging components are folded at their first folding parts and then stacked in a folded state, the first marking part provided in the first folding part of each packaging component can be easily visually inspected. Thus, according to one embodiment of the present disclosure, in the quality inspection of such stacked packaging components, it is not necessary to inspect the first marking part of each of the stacked packaging components in order, starting with the first marking mark of the uppermost packaging component. This contributes to reducing the labor required for the quality inspection. As described above, an embodiment of the present disclosure makes it possible to provide a packaging component constructed so that even when a plurality of packaging components are in a folded and stacked state, the quality of each packaging component can be easily visually inspected. Description of the embodiments
[0008] A packaging component 1 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is described below. Fig. Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment, and schematically illustrates an exemplary external appearance of the packaging component 1. In the following figures, the Fig. 1, the relative dimensions and shapes of various parts of the packaging component 1 may differ from reality. In the following figures, which Fig. 1, identical parts or sections or parts or sections with the same function are designated by the same reference numerals or their reference numerals have been omitted.
[0009] When the packaging component 1 is used to package a large object in the packaging component 1, such as an air conditioner, the packaging component 1 is formed by a combination of two or more outer packaging parts. Fig. 1, the packaging component 1 comprises a first outer packaging part 10 and a second outer packaging part 20. The first outer packaging part 10 and the second outer packaging part 20 define a box-shaped side wall.
[0010] The first outer packaging part 10 comprises a first side part 12 defining a portion of the outer surface of the box-shaped side wall, a first folding part 16 arranged along an edge of the first side part 12, and a first connecting part 14 connected to the first side part 12 via the first folding part 16. This means that the first folding part 16 is a portion connecting the first side part 12 and the first connecting part 14. The first side part 12 may have a first fold 12a extending in the same direction as the longitudinal direction of the first folding part 16. By folding the first side part 12 at the first fold 12a, the first side part 12 can be divided into a first decorative surface 12b and a second decorative surface 12c.The first decorative surface 12b and the second decorative surface 12c can be decorated by printing or other methods to present various information about an object packaged in the packaging component 1, wherein the various information is directed to an end user, such as a consumer and / or a worker on site.
[0011] The second outer packaging part 20 has a second side part 22 that defines the other part of the outer surface of the box-shaped side wall. The second outer packaging part 20 may have a second folding part 26 arranged along an edge of the second side part 22 and a second connecting part 24 connected to the second side part 22 via the second folding part 26. The second folding part 26 is a portion connecting the second side part 22 and the second connecting part 24. The second side part 22 may have a second fold 22a extending in the same direction as the longitudinal direction of the second folding part 26. By folding the second side part 22 at the second fold 22a, the second side part 22 can be divided into a third decorative surface 22b and a fourth decorative surface 22c.Like the first decorative surface 12b and the second decorative surface 12c, the third decorative surface 22b and the fourth decorative surface 22c may be decorated by printing or other methods to present various information about an object packaged in the packaging component 1, wherein the various information is directed to an end user such as a consumer and / or a worker on site.
[0012] The second outer packaging part 20 is connected to the first outer packaging part 10. In particular, the second outer packaging part 20 is connected to the first connecting part 14 such that the second outer packaging part 20 adjoins the first bent part 16 and the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10. By connecting and assembling the first outer packaging part 10 and the second outer packaging part 20, a space is created for receiving an object to be packaged, wherein the space is delimited by the first decorative surface 12b and the second decorative surface 12c of the first outer packaging part 10 and by the third decorative surface 22b and the fourth decorative surface 22c of the second outer packaging part 20. Fig. 1, the first connecting part 14 of the first outer packaging part 10 is connected to the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20. The second connecting part 24 of the second outer packaging part 20 is connected to the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10. The connection is made, for example, by gluing or stapling.
[0013] The packaging component 1 does not necessarily have to have the structure described above. In one example, the packaging component 1 can be formed from two first outer packaging parts 10 that define a box-shaped side wall. In this case, the packaging component 1 can be formed by a combination of identical parts, which leads to lower manufacturing costs. In a further example, the second outer packaging part 20 of the packaging component 1 can be integrated with the first outer packaging part 10. In other words, the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 can be integrated with the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10. By integrating the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 with the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10, the packaging component 1 can be formed without the second connecting part 24 and the second folding part 26.
[0014] The packaging component 1 may comprise a flap part or flap parts provided on the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10 and on the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 in order to close the interior of the packaging component 1 in its assembled state from one side or from both sides.
[0015] The structure of the first outer packaging part 10 of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to Fig. 2 described in more detail. Fig. 2 is a developed plan view of the first outer packaging part 10 of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment, schematically illustrating the structure of the first outer packaging part 10. The first outer packaging part 10 can be formed, for example, by a punching process in which a packaging material, such as corrugated cardboard, is punched using a wooden punch or a metal punch.
[0016] As described above, the first outer packaging part 10 includes the first side part 12, the first connecting part 14 arranged along an edge of the first side part 12, and the first folding part 16 connecting the first side part 12 to the first connecting part 14. The first folding part 16 is, as described above, a portion connecting the first side part 12 and the first connecting part 14 and includes a first identification part 18 providing information related to the first outer packaging part 10.
[0017] The first marking part 18 is arranged, for example, in a plurality of first marking information areas 18a extending across the first connecting part 14 and the first folding part 16. The first marking information areas 18a can be divided, for example, by printing a grid. In the above configuration, the first marking part 18 is arranged in the first connecting part 14. A worker assembling the packaging component 1 can thus easily see the first marking part 18 when connecting the second outer packaging part 20 to the first connecting part 14. The above configuration thus contributes to reducing the inspection workload during assembly and reducing operational errors such as incorrect assembly of parts.
[0018] As in Fig. 2, the first marking part 18 may be arranged in the first marking information areas 18a arranged to extend over the first connecting part 14, the first folding part 16, and a portion of the first side part 12. This configuration ensures that the first marking part 18 is arranged in a portion of the first side part 12, allowing a packaging worker to easily see the first marking part 18 when placing an object to be packaged in the packaging component 1 into the packaging component 1. The above configuration therefore contributes to reducing the labor required for inspection during packaging and, for example, reducing packaging errors.
[0019] In the first marking part 18, information relating to the first outer packaging part 10, such as the type of an object to be packaged in the packaging component 1, can be presented in at least one of the first marking information areas 18a by a color, a pattern, or a combination of a color and a pattern. Fig. 2 illustrates an exemplary case where, among the first identification information areas 18a, an area A1 and an area B3 are colored. Examples of patterns that can be used for the first identification part 18 include a fill pattern, a dot pattern, and a hatch pattern.
[0020] A letter / character or a number can be added to the first identification information areas 18a. For the first outer packaging part 10, a number or a letter can be printed on all of the first identification information areas 18a, and by determining where a color or other feature is added, information related to the first outer packaging part 10 can be easily identified. For example, the first outer packaging part 10 can have a letter or number printed in a light color such as white on the first identification information area 18a that bears a dark color such as black or another feature, so that by determining where a color or other feature is added, information related to the first outer packaging part 10 can be easily identified.
[0021] The first marking information areas 18a can be divided in the longitudinal direction of the first folding part 16 into several groups of marking information to enable the identification of different information. For example, the first marking information areas 18a can be divided into a first area 18a1 for distinguishing / identifying the first outer packaging part 10 and the second outer packaging part 20 from each other, and a second area 18a2 for identifying information related to the first outer packaging part 10, such as the type of object packaged in the packaging component 1. The first area 18a1 is in Fig. 2 is shown as an example in such a way that it still has the areas A1 and A2. The second area 18a2 is in Fig. 2 is shown as still having the areas B1 to B8. By dividing the first marking information areas 18a into groups of marking information in this way, the amount of identifiable information relating to the packaging component 1 can be increased.
[0022] The structure of the second outer packaging part 20 of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment of the present disclosure will be described below with reference to Fig. 3 described in more detail. Fig. 3 is a developed plan view of the second outer packaging part 20 of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment, in which plan view the structure of the second outer packaging part 20 is schematically illustrated. Like the first outer packaging part 10, the second outer packaging part 20 can also be formed, for example, by a stamping process in which a packaging material such as corrugated cardboard is stamped with a wooden stamp or a metal stamp. As described above, the packaging component 1 can consist of two first outer packaging parts 10 that define a box-shaped side wall, without the second outer packaging part 20.
[0023] As described above, the second outer packaging part 20 has the second side part 22 which is adjacent to the first side part 12. As in Fig. 3, the second outer packaging part 20 may include a second folding part 26 arranged along an edge of the second side part 22, and the second connecting part 24 is connected to the second side part 22 via the second folding part 26. The second folding part 26 of the second outer packaging part 20 is, as described above, a portion connecting the second side part 22 and the second connecting part 24, and may include a second identification part 28 providing information related to the second outer packaging part 20. When the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 is integrated with the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10, the packaging component 1 does not include the second connecting part 24 and the second folding part 26, as described above. Therefore, when the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 is integrated with the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10, the packaging component 1 can be designed such that it does not have the second marking part 28.
[0024] The second identification part 28 may, for example, be arranged in a plurality of second identification information areas 28a arranged to extend across the second connecting part 24 and the second folding part 26. The second identification information areas 28a may be divided, for example, by printing a grid. With the above configuration, the second identification part 28 is arranged in the second connecting part 24. A worker assembling the packaging component 1 can thus easily see the second identification part 28 when connecting the first outer packaging part 10 to the second connecting part 24. The above configuration thus contributes to reducing the inspection workload during assembly and reducing operational errors such as incorrect assembly of parts.
[0025] As in Fig. 3, the second marking part 28 may be arranged in the second marking information areas 28a arranged to extend over the second connecting part 24, the second folding part 26, and a portion of the second side part 22. This configuration ensures that the second marking part 28 is arranged in a portion of the second side part 22, thereby allowing a packaging worker to easily see the second marking part 28 when placing an object to be packaged in the packaging component 1 into the packaging component 1. The above configuration thus contributes to reducing the labor required for inspection during packaging and, for example, reducing packaging errors.
[0026] In the second marking part 28, information relating to the second outer packaging part 20, such as the type of an object to be packaged in the packaging component 1, can be presented in at least one of the second marking information areas 28a by a color, a pattern, or a combination of a color and a pattern. Fig. 3 illustrates an exemplary case where, of the second identification information areas 28a, an area A2 and an area B3 are colored. Examples of patterns that can be used for the second identification part 28 are a fill pattern, a dot pattern, and a hatch pattern. A color, a pattern, or a combination of a color and a pattern displayed in at least one of the second identification information areas 28a may be different from a color, a pattern, or a combination of a color and a pattern displayed in at least one of the first identification information areas 18a. This configuration enables easy visual confirmation of the difference between the information presented on the first outer packaging part 10 and the information presented on the second outer packaging part 20.The above structure also increases the variety of information that can be presented on the first outer packaging part 10 and the second outer packaging part 20, thereby providing a greater amount of information about the packaging component 1.
[0027] A letter / character or a number may be added to the second identification information areas 28a. For the second outer packaging part 20, a number or a letter may be printed on all second identification information areas 28a, and by determining where a color or other feature is added, information related to the second outer packaging part 20 can be easily identified. For example, the second outer packaging part 20 may have a letter or number printed in a light color, such as white, on the second identification information area 28a that bears a dark color, such as black, or another feature, so that by determining where a color or other feature is added, information related to the second outer packaging part 20 can be easily identified.
[0028] As in Fig. 3, the second marking information areas 28a can be divided in the longitudinal direction of the second folding part 26 into several groups of marking information to enable the identification of different information. For example, the second marking information areas 28a can be divided into a third area 28a1 for distinguishing / identifying the first outer packaging part 10 and the second outer packaging part 20 from each other and a fourth area 28a2 for identifying information relating to the second outer packaging part 20, such as the type of object packaged in the packaging component 1. The third area 28a1 is in Fig. 3, for example, is shown as still having the areas A1 and A2. The fourth area 28a2 is in Fig. 3 as still having the regions B1 to B8. By dividing the second marking information regions 28a into groups of marking information in this way, the amount of identifiable information relating to the packaging component 1 can be increased.
[0029] The structure of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment in a folded state will be described below with reference to the Fig. 4 and Fig. 5 described. Fig. 4 is a schematic perspective view of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment in a state before folding. Fig. Fig. 5 schematically illustrates an embodiment of the packaging component 1 according to the embodiment in a folded state, wherein the packaging component 1 is viewed in the direction of the first folding part 16.
[0030] As in the Fig. 4 and Fig. 5, the packaging component 1 is folded into a flat state at the first folding part 16 of the first outer packaging part 10 and at the second folding part 26 of the second outer packaging part 20 for storage, so that at least the first marking part 18 is visible. As shown in Fig. 5, when the packaging component 1 is folded (together), the first marking part 18 is visible when the packaging component 1 is viewed in the direction of the first folding part 16 of the first outer packaging part 10. The packaging component 1 is in Fig. 5 in a folded state such that the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10 is arranged at the top and the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 is arranged at the bottom. However, the packaging component 1 does not necessarily have to be arranged in the folded state as in Fig. 5. Alternatively, the packaging component 1 can also be arranged such that the second side part 22 of the second outer packaging part 20 is arranged at the top and the first side part 12 of the first outer packaging part 10 is arranged at the bottom.
[0031] Fig. 6 schematically illustrates an example of a plurality of packaging components 1 according to the embodiment in a folded and stacked state when the packaging components 1 are viewed in the direction of the first folding parts 16. Fig. 6 represents several packaging components 1 of the same type as those in Fig. 5, wherein the packaging components 1 are stacked one above the other, with the first side part 12 of each first outer packaging part 10 facing upwards and the first bending part 16 of each first outer packaging part 10 facing in the same direction. In order to reduce the storage space required for such packaging components 1, the packaging components 1 are stacked for storage and transport as shown in Fig. 6 shown stacked on top of each other.
[0032] As in Fig. 6, the state can be easily observed in which, when several packaging components 1 of the same type as the packaging component 1 in Fig. 5 are stacked on top of each other without errors in the direction of their stacking, the first marking parts 18 of the stacked packaging components 1 are all aligned with each other when the packaging components 1 are viewed in the direction of the first bending parts 16.
[0033] Fig. 7 schematically illustrates another example of a plurality of packaging components 1 according to the embodiment in a folded and stacked state when the packaging components 1 are viewed in the direction of the first folding parts 16. Fig. Figure 7 shows several packaging components 1 stacked together with a packaging component 1a which differs from the one shown in Fig. 5 differs from the packaging component 1 shown. Fig. 7 illustrates an exemplary case in which the packaging component 1a, which is formed by joining two second outer packaging parts 20 and which is different from the packaging components 1, is stacked together with the packaging components 1.
[0034] As in Fig. 7, when the packaging component 1a different from the packaging components 1 is stacked such that the second marking parts 28 of the packaging component 1a point in the same direction as the first marking part 18 of each packaging component 1, the first marking parts 18 and one of the second marking parts 28 are positioned in different rows / lines when the packaging component 1a and the packaging components 1 are viewed in the direction of the first bending parts 16. Therefore, in Fig. 7 the first marking parts 18 and one of the second marking parts 28 are not aligned with each other.
[0035] Since in the Fig. 6 and Fig. 7 the first marking part 18 is provided in the first folded part 16 of the first outer packaging part 10 of the packaging component 1, even with a large number of packaging components 1 stacked in the folded state, it is easy to visually recognize whether no packaging component 1a different from the packaging components 1 is mixed in the stack. Even with such packaging components 1 stacked in the folded state, it is thus easy to visually recognize whether the packaging component 1a different from the packaging components 1, for example a defective packaging component, is mixed in the stack.Furthermore, with the above-described structure of the packaging component 1, quality control can be performed on a plurality of packaging components 1 in their stacked state without having to inspect the first identification part 18 of each of the stacked packaging components 1 in turn, starting from the first identification part 18 of the uppermost packaging component 1. This contributes to reducing the labor required for quality inspection during shipping, delivery, or inventory confirmation of the packaging components 1. As described above, since the first identification part 18 is provided in the first folding part 16 of the first outer packaging part 10 of the packaging component 1, the quality of each packaging component 1 can be easily visually inspected even when a plurality of packaging components 1 are stacked in the folded state.
[0036] If the first marking information areas 18a are divided into a plurality of groups of marking information as described above, the first folding part 16 should have a plurality of first marking parts 18. By dividing the first marking information areas 18a into a plurality of groups of marking information, it is thus possible to visually identify a plurality of different pieces of information relating to the packaging component 1, even when a plurality of packaging components 1 are stacked in the folded state. As exemplified in the Fig. 2 and Fig.6, the first identification information region 18a located in the first bending part 16 may be divided into the first region 18a1 and the second region 18a2. With this configuration, since the first identification part 18a is provided in both the first region 18a1 located in the first bending part 16 and the second region 18a2 located in the first bending part 16, it is possible to visually identify a plurality of different pieces of information.
