Description

TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present invention relates to a commercial vehicle having a plurality of display units. STATE OF THE ART

[0002] For example, in a vehicle equipped with an aerial work platform, such as a turntable ladder truck, in which a long object such as a ladder or boom is mounted, the extension, rotation, and tilting operations of the ladder, boom, or the like are performed while an outrigger is being extended and raised. The allowable working range (working radius) of the ladder, boom, or the like changes according to the extension amount of the outrigger.

[0003] Patent Literature 1 discloses a commercial vehicle having a drivable vehicle body, a boom arranged on the vehicle body, a work platform arranged in a front end portion of the boom, an outrigger support capable of extending toward a lateral side of the vehicle body, a lifting device configured to be extendable and retractable in a front end portion of the boom support, a camera for capturing image information in a surrounding area of the vehicle body, an image processing unit for generating a surrounding area display image showing the surrounding area of the vehicle body in plan view using the image information in a surrounding area of the vehicle body captured by the camera, and a lower display device for displaying the surrounding area display image generated by the image processing unit.wherein the environment display image indicates a working area within which movement of the work platform is permitted depending on an extension dimension of the outrigger beam in the direction of the lateral side of the vehicle body. LIST OF CITED DOCUMENTS PATENT LITERATURE

[0004] Patent Literature 1: JP2021-80039A SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION TECHNICAL PROBLEM

[0005] After an outrigger boom is extended, an outrigger boom operator or the like determines a work area based on perception or from a monitoring screen in a case where the screen is located near the base of a ladder or boom. However, if the determination is based on human perception, there is a risk of misjudging the work area. If a misjudgment of the work area occurs, readjustment of the outrigger boom or movement of the vehicle is required, thereby delaying the start of work.If the determination is made based on the display of the monitoring screen located near the base area, the misjudgment of the working area is less; however, the base area is located on the vehicle body and the screen cannot be viewed from an area near an outrigger operating unit, so the operator must move to view the screen, thus wasting time.

[0006] Patent Literature 1 describes that a lower operating device for operating an outrigger lifting device is arranged in a center of a rear vehicle body portion of the commercial vehicle, and that the lower display device is arranged near the lower operating device (paragraphs 0018 and 0026 and Fig. 4); however, in an aerial work platform vehicle with a large vehicle width, it is common to provide the operating units of the outrigger boom and the lifting device on the left and right sides rather than in a middle position: thus, the method disclosed in Patent Literature 1 cannot be applied to such an aerial work platform vehicle.

[0007] Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a commercial vehicle equipped with a display unit, in which an operator can obtain necessary information from a display unit (a display device) himself without moving away from an operating unit of an outrigger. [0016] According to the present embodiment, the working area of the long object is displayed on the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit, which are respectively arranged near the left-side outrigger operating unit and near the right-side outrigger operating unit, and thus an outrigger operator can check the working area without moving from their position. Accordingly, it is possible to prevent misjudgment of the working area, efficiently perform overhang operation of the outrigger boom, and timely complete preparation for starting a fire-fighting operation or a rescue operation using the long object.

[0017] According to a second embodiment of the present invention, in the display unit-equipped commercial vehicle according to the first embodiment, the long object has a work platform on which a person is accommodated at a front end, and the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit each have a load input screen configured to receive an input of the number of accommodated persons or an occupant weight on the work platform; and the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit are configured to display the work area corresponding to the number of accommodated persons or the occupant weight input on the load input screen.

[0018] In the present embodiment, since the working area of the long object changes depending on the number of people accommodated (the occupant weight) on the work platform, the outrigger operator can accurately grasp the working area by inputting the actual number of people accommodated (the occupant weight) without moving from the position where the outrigger operation is performed.

[0019] According to a third embodiment of the present invention, in the display unit-equipped commercial vehicle according to the first embodiment, the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit each have an operation screen configured to perform an operation of a device mounted on the vehicle or an apparatus mounted on the vehicle, and when the operation screen is called up or switched to another operation screen on one display unit from the left-side display unit or the right-side display unit, the operation screen identical to the called up operation screen or the switched operation screen is displayed on the other display unit from the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit.

[0020] According to the present embodiment, an operation of the vehicle-mounted device or the vehicle-mounted equipment can be prevented from being performed simultaneously from the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit, and a malfunction or the like of the device or equipment can be prevented in advance.

[0021] According to a fourth embodiment of the present invention, in the display unit-equipped commercial vehicle according to the third embodiment, when an operation of the device or the apparatus is selected on the operation screen of the left-side display unit or on the operation screen of the right-side display unit, the other of the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit is in a lock operation state in which no operation is received on the device or the apparatus.

[0022] According to the present embodiment, when an operation is performed on the left-side display unit or the right-side display unit, an operation on the other of the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit is restricted, and thus different operations of the vehicle-mounted device or the vehicle-mounted equipment can be prevented from being performed on the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit with greater reliability.

[0023] According to a fifth embodiment of the present invention, in the display unit-equipped commercial vehicle according to the fourth embodiment, in the lock operation state, the other one of the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit displays the lock operation state.

[0024] According to the present embodiment, the operator or the like can immediately recognize that the left-side display unit or the right-side display unit is in the lock operation state, and thus the operator can smoothly advance the work without wasting time for unnecessary checking or the like due to a misunderstanding as to whether the left-side display unit or the right-side display unit has a failure or an operation error.

[0025] According to a sixth embodiment of the present invention, in the display unit-equipped commercial vehicle according to the fifth embodiment, in the lock operation state, a lock release switch is displayed on the other one of the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit, and the lock operation state is canceled when the lock release switch is pressed in a state where no operation of the device or apparatus is performed on one of the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit.

[0026] According to the present embodiment, when the lock operation state is to be released, the lock operation state can also be released from the one display unit among the left-side display unit and the right-side display unit which is in the lock operation state, thereby improving work efficiency. Examples of implementation

[0027] In the following, a commercial vehicle equipped with a display unit according to an embodiment of the present invention is described.

[0028] Fig. Fig. 1 shows external views of the commercial vehicle equipped with a display unit according to the present embodiment, wherein Fig. 1 (a) is a perspective front view, Fig. 1 (b) is a perspective rear view and Fig. 1 (c) is a rear view. Fig. Figure 2 shows photos illustrating the surroundings of a right-side display unit, where Fig. 2 (a) is a photograph taken diagonally from behind and Fig. 2 (b) is a photograph taken from behind.

[0029] The display unit-equipped utility vehicle according to the present embodiment is a ladder truck. The ladder truck, which is a vehicle with an aerial work platform, includes: a cab 1 disposed at a front of the vehicle and having a driver's seat; a vehicle body 2 positioned behind the cab 1; a ladder (a long object) 3 positioned above the cab 1 and the vehicle body 2 and arranged in a lying state when not in use; a turntable 4 disposed on an upper surface of a rear portion of the vehicle body 2; a basket (a work platform) 5 attached to a front end of the ladder 3; a left-side outrigger 6A disposed with front and rear portions on a left-side surface of the vehicle body 2;a right-side outrigger 6B disposed with a front and a rear portion on a right-side surface of the vehicle body 2; a left-side outrigger operating unit 7A disposed at a left rear portion of the vehicle body 2 and operating the left-side outrigger 6A; a right-side outrigger operating unit 7B disposed at a right rear portion of the vehicle body 2 and operating the right-side outrigger 6B; a base portion operating seat 8 disposed adjacent to a base portion of the ladder 3, and a plurality of hose connection ports 9 to which a fire hose is connected.

[0030] The ladder 3 has a multi-stage ladder body; it is designed to rotate and tilt relative to the vehicle body 2 and is connected to the vehicle body 2 via the turntable 4. The left-side outrigger 6A and the right-side outrigger 6B each have a lifting device for height adjustment.

[0031] A display unit having a screen (a display) on which various kinds of information and the like are displayed is arranged on the basket 5, on the base area operation seat 8, and on a rear vehicle surface.

[0032] A rear display unit 10, which is a display unit arranged on a rear surface of the vehicle, includes a left-side display unit 10A arranged near the left-side outrigger operating unit 7A and a right-side display unit 10B arranged near the right-side outrigger operating unit 7B. The left-side display unit 10A is connected to the left-side outrigger operating unit 7A, and the right-side display unit 10B is connected to the right-side outrigger operating unit 7B. On the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B, extension amounts of the outriggers 6A and 6B, a state of the hoist, display symbols, and the like are displayed.

[0033] Generally, as in the present embodiment, in a vehicle with an aerial work platform, such as a ladder truck with a wide vehicle width, operating units for an outrigger or a hoist are separately arranged on the left and right sides of a rear vehicle surface, so that an operator can operate the operating unit and simultaneously check a current operating state. Therefore, for example, if a monitor is arranged in a center of the rear vehicle surface, the operator needs to move from the side area of the rear vehicle surface (a position of the operating unit) to the center (a position of the monitor) to check various types of information displayed on the monitor during the operation of the outrigger or the hoist.

[0034] In view of this, in the present embodiment, the rear display unit 10 is disposed near the left-side outrigger operating unit 7A and the right-side outrigger operating unit 7B, respectively, so that the operator can check various types of information displayed on the rear display unit 10 during the operation of the outriggers 6A, 6B or the hoist. Thus, the working efficiency of the outriggers 6A and 6B or the hoist can be improved, and preparation for starting the fire-fighting operation or rescue operation using the ladder 3 can be completed early.

[0035] The left-side display unit 10A and the left-side outrigger operating unit 7A, as well as the right-side display unit 10B and the right-side outrigger operating unit 7B, are each housed in the vehicle body 2 when not in use; when in use, a cover 11 is opened as shown in Fig. 2. By accommodating the rear display unit 10 and the outrigger operating units 7A and 7B in the vehicle body 2 when not in use, the rear display unit 10 and the outrigger operating units 7A and 7B can be prevented from becoming contaminated during travel or the like.

[0036] Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 are diagrams showing screens of the rear display units, respectively, where Fig. 3 (a) and Fig. 4 (a) show the screen of the left-hand display unit and Fig. 3 (b) and Fig. 4 (b) each show the screen of the right-hand display unit.

[0037] The screen of the rear display unit 10 is a touchscreen that has a display function and an input function. The screen of the rear display unit 10 is designed to: - display an information screen that allows the operator, by touching an icon or the like, to display the (front and rear, left and right) working areas, (front and rear, left and right) inclination angles of the vehicle body 2, the extension dimensions of the outriggers 6A and 6B, a setting-up, storage, and operation status of the lifting device, an attention or warning message regarding a tilt of the vehicle body 2, a status of the slewing ring 4, the statuses of the outriggers 6A and 6B and the lifting device, a status of the cage 5, a status of the ladder 3, a vehicle status, an emergency stop status, a lock-out status, a cage pressure (a water outlet opening pressure in the cage 5), a base area flow rate (a water supply flow rate in the base area of the ladder 3),to check a water supply opening pressure (a water supply pressure in the hose connection port 9 on the rear vehicle surface) and the like, and, - display the operation screen on which the operator performs switching of a load mode, switching of a lock operation mode of the outriggers 6A and 6B and the hoist, emergency contact with other display units (for example, a work platform display unit 17 and a base range display unit 19 (described later)) by a buzzer, ON / OFF operation of a correction motor, manual operation of the basket 5 and the slewing ring 4 during a maintenance period, release operation of the lock operation state, and the like.

[0038] When operating using ladder 3, the permissible working areas (working radii) on the left and right change, as described above, depending on the extension dimensions of the outriggers.

[0039] In the present embodiment, since the working area is displayed depending on the extension amounts of the outriggers 6A and 6B on the rear display unit 10 arranged near the left-side outrigger operating unit 7A and the right-side outrigger operating unit 7B, respectively, the operator of the outriggers 6A and 6B can check the working area without leaving the left-side outrigger operating unit 7A or the right-side outrigger operating unit 7B. Thus, it is possible to prevent misjudgment of the working area, efficiently perform the overhang operation of the outriggers 6A and 6B, and early complete preparation for starting the fire extinguishing operation or the rescue operation using the ladder 3.

[0040] The allowable working range also changes depending on the number of people accommodated (an occupancy weight) on the basket 5; therefore, the rear display unit 10 is provided with a load input screen for receiving an input of the number of people accommodated or the occupancy weight on the basket 5 to switch the load mode. On the load input screen, the number of people accommodated or the occupancy weight can be selected and entered, or the number of people accommodated or the occupancy weight can be entered directly.

[0041] If the number of accommodated persons or the occupant weight is input by the operator or the like of the outriggers 6A and 6B on the load input screen, a controller (not shown) connected to the rear display unit 10 determines the working area based on data of the inputted number of accommodated persons or the occupant weight and outputs data of the determined working area to the rear display unit 10. Accordingly, the rear display unit 10 displays the working area after switching in a load mode, so that the operator of the outriggers 6A and 6B can accurately grasp the working area corresponding to the number of accommodated persons (the occupant weight) without moving from the respective position where the outriggers 6A and 6B are operated.

[0042] The left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B each have an operating function for a vehicle-mounted device or a vehicle-mounted device (tensioning device); and during maintenance of the ladder truck, the basket 5, the turntable 4, and the like can be manually operated using the rear display unit 10. The operating functions of the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B are the same, so one worker can selectively use the two rear display units 10 depending on the type of work, or two workers can advance the work using the separate rear display units 10, thereby improving work efficiency.

[0043] On the other hand, if different operation inputs are performed simultaneously on a device or device, or if an operation input is performed simultaneously on different devices or devices from each of the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B, the device or device receiving the operation input may malfunction or cause an unexpected operation. Therefore, the rear display unit 10 is provided with a display synchronization function and a display lock function, allowing internal operation restriction and shared use of the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B.

[0044] When calling up the operation screen or switching to the operation screen on one rear display unit 10 is selected from the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B, the display synchronization function simultaneously switches the other rear display unit 10 to the operation screen. The display synchronization function can be implemented, for example, by combining signals related to operations from the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B into one signal and transmitting this signal to the controller; the controller that received the operation signal outputs the same display signal to the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B.

[0045] This example is in Fig. 3, and in a case where screens (information screens) displayed in an upper part are displayed on the left-side display unit 10A ( Fig. 3 (a)) and the right-side display unit 10B ( Fig. 3 (b)), when a screen switching switch 12 on the left-side display unit 10A is pressed, the screen of the left-side display unit 10A is switched and the operation screen is displayed, and at the same time, the right-side display unit 10B on which the screen switching switch 12 is not pressed is also automatically switched to the same display (the operation screen) as the left-side display unit 10A.

[0046] As described above, when switching to the operation screen or the like is performed on one rear display unit 10 (here, the left-side display unit 10A), the screen of the other rear display unit 10 (here, the right-side display unit 10B) is also automatically switched to the same operation screen, so that a worker looking at the other rear display unit 10 can recognize that an operation is being performed on the one rear display unit 10, whereby simultaneous operations of the vehicle-mounted device or the vehicle-mounted equipment can be prevented from being performed from the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B, and a malfunction or the like of the device or equipment can be prevented in advance.

[0047] In a case where an operation of the device or the apparatus is performed on the left-side display unit 10A or on the right-side display unit 10B, a lock operation state in which no operation is received on the device or the apparatus is set on the other display unit by means of the display lock function, and the lock operation state is displayed.

[0048] This example is in Fig. 4, and in a case where screens (operation screens) shown in an upper part are displayed on the left-side display unit 10A ( Fig. 4 (a)) and the right-side display unit 10B ( Fig. 4 (b)), when one of the operation mode switches 13 (for example, a manual basket mode) on the left-side display unit 10A is pressed, mode switching is performed on the left-side display unit 10A, a color of the pressed operation mode switch 13 is changed to indicate a state in which the mode is selected, and then any operation can be performed. On the other hand, the right-side display unit 10B is automatically switched to a lock screen and is in the lock operation state in which the right-side display unit 10B does not respond even if the operation mode switch 13 is pressed, and the right-side display unit 10B displays the lock operation state; due to this, a color of a position in which the operation mode switch 13 is displayed becomes brighter, and key and hand symbols are displayed.Since the color of the operation mode switch 13 selected on the left-side display unit 10A also changes on the right-side display unit 10B, a mode selected on the left-side display unit 10A can be recognized.

[0049] Accordingly, in a case where an operation is performed on one rear display unit 10 (here: the left-side display unit 10A), an operation on the other rear display unit 10 (here: the right-side display unit 10B) is restricted, whereby different operations of the vehicle-mounted devices or the vehicle-mounted equipment can be prevented from being performed on the left-side display unit 10A and the right-side display unit 10B with greater reliability.

[0050] In addition, since the lock operation state is displayed on the rear display unit 10 in the lock operation state, the operator or the like can immediately recognize that the left side display unit 10A or the right side display unit 10B is in the lock operation state, and the operator can continue the work smoothly without wasting time for unnecessary checking or the like due to a judgment as to whether the rear display unit 10 has a failure or an operation error.

[0051] As in Fig. 4 (b) shown in a lower part, a lock release switch 14 is displayed on the right-side display unit 10B which is in the lock operation state, and when the lock release switch 14 is pressed in a case where no operation of the device or apparatus is performed on the left-side display unit 10A, the lock operation state of the right-side display unit 10B is canceled.

[0052] Therefore, since the lock can be released even from the right-side display unit 10B when the work is performed at a position closer to the right-side display unit 10B than to the left-side display unit 10A, it is not necessary to go to the left-side display unit 10A to release the lock, and work efficiency is improved.

[0053] Fig. 5 is a perspective view showing a state in which the ladder and the outriggers are extended, and Fig. 6 is a perspective view illustrating the base area operation seat.

[0054] In addition to the platform display unit 17 serving as a display unit, the basket 5 is provided with a water discharge nozzle 15 for discharging water toward a building and the like, and with a platform operating unit 16 serving as an operating unit for operating the ladder 3, the basket 5, the water discharge nozzle 15, and the like. The platform operating unit 16 is configured, for example, as an operating lever or an operating switch. The platform display unit 17 is connected to the platform operating unit 16 and is arranged near the platform operating unit 16.

[0055] In addition to the base area display unit 19 serving as a display unit, the base area operating seat 8 is provided with a base area operating unit 18 serving as an operating unit for operating the ladder 3, the basket 5, the water discharge nozzle 15, and the like. The base area operating unit 18 is configured, for example, as an operating lever, an operating pedal, or an operating switch. The base area display unit 19 is connected to the base area operating unit 18 and is arranged near the base area operating unit 18.

[0056] A screen of the work platform display unit 17 and a screen of the base area display unit 19 can be configured as a touchscreen with a display function and an input function, or they can be configured as a non-touchscreen with no input function. Each screen can display an information screen that allows the operator to view the (front and rear, left and right) working areas, the (front and rear, left and right) tilt angles of the vehicle body 2, the extension dimensions of the outriggers 6A and 6B, the attention or warning message regarding a tilt of the vehicle body 2, the state of the slewing ring 4, the state of the basket 5, the state of the ladder 3, the vehicle state, the emergency stop state, the lock operation state, the basket pressure (the water outlet opening pressure in the basket 5), the base area flow rate (the water supply flow rate in the base area of the ladder 3),Each screen can display the operation screen, on which the operator performs switching of the load mode, emergency contact with other display units (the rear display unit 10 or the like) via a buzzer, activation or stop of a self-protection measure in the basket 5, and the like. When the screen is configured as a touchscreen, operation icons are displayed on the operation screen. When the screen is configured as a non-touchscreen, physical buttons for performing an input operation are arranged near the screen instead of operation icons.

[0057] The operation of the ladder 3, the basket 5 and the water discharge sprayer 15 can be carried out in the same way as the work platform operation unit 16 and the base area operation unit 18 or the work display unit 17 and the base area display unit 19.

[0058] Examples of the operation of the water discharge syringe 15 include switching in a vertical direction, switching in a lateral direction, and switching in an outlet mode.

[0059] Examples of operating the ladder 3 or the cage 5 include a manual operating mode and a high-performance operating mode. The manual operating mode is a mode in which extending and retracting, tilting and rotating the ladder 3, or moving the cage 5 are performed manually. In the high-performance operation mode, a partial operation or the entire operation of the ladder 3 or the basket 5 can be performed by the controller, and the extended ladder 3 can be automatically returned to a storage position, the operation performed manually on the ladder 3 can be stored in a memory device (a learning memory), the operation for automatically operating the ladder 3 can be repeated or reversed, and an operation for raising or lowering the basket 5 can be easily performed substantially vertically or an operation for moving the basket 5 forward or backward can be easily performed substantially horizontally by means of a switch, a lever, or the like.

[0060] On the other hand, if an operation input is simultaneously performed from the basket side (the work platform operation unit 16 or the work platform display unit 17) and the base section operation seat side (the base section operation unit 18 or the base section display unit 19), the ladder 3 or the like may malfunction or cause unexpected operation. Therefore, a lock function is provided between the work platform operation unit 16 and the base section operation unit 18, and a display synchronization function and a display lock function are provided between the work platform display unit 17 and the base section display unit 19, similar to the rear display unit 10 described above.

[0061] Regarding the operation of the water discharge sprayer 15, in a case where the water discharge sprayer 15 is operated from the basket side (on the work platform operation unit 16 or the work platform display unit 17 side) or the base section operation seat side (on the base section operation unit 18 or the base section display unit 19 side), due to the lock function and the display lock function, the other side is in the lock operation state in which no operation is received at the water discharge sprayer 15. For example, when the operation of the water discharge sprayer 15 is performed on the work platform operation unit 16, the base section operation unit 18 and the base section display unit 19 are in the lock operation state.Accordingly, the operation of the water discharge syringe 15 is not performed simultaneously from the basket side and the base portion operation seat side, and a malfunction or the like of the water discharge syringe 15 can be prevented.

[0062] Furthermore, in the present embodiment, when the water discharge sprayer 15 is operated on the basket side (on the platform operation unit 16 or the platform display unit 17 side) or the base section operation seat side (on the base section operation unit 18 or the base section display unit 19 side), due to the display synchronization function, not only the display unit on the side where the operation is performed but also the display unit on the side where the operation is not performed are switched to a water discharge information screen that mainly displays information related to water discharge. For example, when the operation of the water discharge sprayer 15 is started on the platform operation unit 16, not only the platform display unit 17 but also the base section display unit 19 are automatically switched to the water discharge information screen. In this way, the screen of the display unit on the side on which the water discharge nozzle 15 is not operated is also automatically switched to the water discharge information screen, so that a firefighter or the like looking at the screen can recognize that the water discharge nozzle 15 on the other side is operated.

[0063] Regarding the operation of the ladder 3 and the basket 5, in a case where an operation is performed in the high-performance operation mode on the basket side (on the work platform operation unit 16 or the work platform display unit 17 side) or on the base section operation seat side (on the base section operation unit 18 or the base section display unit 19 side), the other side is in the lock operation state in which no operation is received due to the lock function and the display lock function on the ladder 3 and the basket 5. For example, when the operation of the ladder 3 according to the high-performance operation mode is performed on the work platform operation unit 16, the base section operation unit 18 and the base section display unit 19 are in the lock operation state. Thus, the operation according to the high-power operation mode is not performed simultaneously from the basket side and from the base section operation seat side on the ladder 3 or the basket 5, and malfunction of the ladder 3 or the basket 5 can be prevented.

[0064] Furthermore, in the present embodiment, when an operation according to the high-power operation mode is performed on the basket side or the base section operation seat side, due to the display synchronization function, not only the display unit on the side where the operation is performed but also the display unit on the side where the operation is not performed are switched to a ladder / basket information screen that mainly displays information related to the ladder 3 and the basket 5. For example, when the operation according to the high-power operation mode is started on the work platform operation unit 16, not only the work platform display unit 17 but also the base section display unit 19 are automatically switched to the ladder / basket information screen. In this way, the screen of the display unit on the side on which the operation according to the high-power operation mode is not performed is also automatically switched to the ladder / cage information screen, so that a firefighter or the like looking at the screen can recognize that the operation according to the high-power operation mode is performed on the other side.

[0065] Furthermore, in the present embodiment, if the operation of the water discharge sprayer 15 or the operation of the ladder 3 or the basket 5 is carried out according to the high-performance operation mode on the basket side (on the platform operation unit 16 or the platform display unit 17 side) or on the base section operation seat side (on the base section operation unit 18 or the base section display unit 19 side), a lock symbol indicating that the operation unit and the display unit are in the lock operation state is displayed on the screen of the display unit on the other side.

[0066] Thus, a firefighter or the like who is on the side in the locked operation state can immediately recognize that the operation unit and the display unit are in the locked operation state, and can continue the fire-fighting work smoothly without wasting time for unnecessary inspection or the like because of a guess as to whether the operation unit or the display unit has failed.

[0067] The work platform display unit 17 and the base area display unit 19 may be provided with a lock release switch for receiving a release operation related to the lock operation state. In this case, when the basket side or the base area operation seat side is in the lock operation state, if the lock release switch on the side in the lock operation state is pressed, the lock operation state is released if the operation of the water discharge sprayer 15 or the operation of the ladder 3 or the basket 5 is not performed according to the high-performance operation mode.

[0068] Next, a commercial vehicle equipped with a display unit according to another embodiment of the present invention will be described. Functional parts corresponding to those of the above-described embodiment are denoted by the same reference numerals; a description thereof will be omitted.

[0069] Fig. 7 is a left side view of the commercial vehicle equipped with a display unit according to the present embodiment.

[0070] The display-equipped utility vehicle according to the present embodiment is a fire pump truck. The fire pump truck includes the cab 1 and a pumping device 20 arranged behind the cab 1. The pumping device 20 includes a water pump driven by an output shaft or the like, a compressed air foam system (DLS), a pump speed operating unit 21 serving as an operating unit for changing a speed of the water pump, a display unit (pump display unit 22) having a screen on which various types of information are displayed, water outlet ports 23, a water intake port 24, and a relay port 25. The pump speed operating unit 21 is configured, for example, as a throttle controller and is connected to the pump display unit 22.

[0071] Fig.Figure 7 shows the left-side vehicle surface, with the pump speed actuation unit 21, the pump display unit 22, the water outlet port 23, the water intake port 24, and the relay port 25 similarly arranged on a right-side vehicle surface. A fire hose 26 (a water outlet hose, a water intake hose, and a relay hose) is connected to the water outlet port 23, the water intake port 24, and the relay port 25, respectively.

[0072] The pump display unit 22 is arranged near the pump speed operation unit 21. A screen of the pump display unit 22 may be configured as a touch screen having a display function and an input function, or it may be configured as a non-touch screen having no input function. The screen is configured to display an information screen that allows an operator to check the opening / closing states of the water outlet port 23, the water intake port 24, and the relay port 25, a water outlet flow rate, a water outlet pressure, a lock operation state, a water drop warning, and the like, and to display an operation screen on which the operator sets the water outlet pressure, sets an upper limit for a pump speed, sets the pump speed, discharges using the DLS, and switches screens. If the screen is designed as a touchscreen, operation icons are displayed on the operation screen, and if the screen is designed as a non-touchscreen, physical buttons for performing an input operation are arranged near the screen instead of operation icons.

[0073] As described above, the pump speed operation unit 21 and the pump display unit 22 are provided on the left side surface and the right side surface of the vehicle, respectively, so that operation of the water pump or the DLS can be carried out from either the left side surface of the vehicle or the right side surface of the vehicle.

[0074] On the other hand, if an operation input is simultaneously performed on the water pump or the DLS from both the left and right vehicle sides, fire extinguishing work cannot be continued as desired. Therefore, a lock function is provided between the pump speed operation unit 21 on the left side and the pump speed operation unit 21 on the right side, and a display synchronization function and a display lock function are provided between the pump display unit 22 on the left side and the pump display unit 22 on the right side, similar to those described for the previous embodiment.

[0075] Regarding an operation of the pump speed operation unit 21, in a case where the pump speed is operated on the pump speed operation unit 21 on the left side surface or the right side surface, the pump speed operation unit 21 on the other side is in a lock-up operation state in which no operation is received due to the lock function. Accordingly, the pump speed can be prevented from being changed simultaneously from the left side surface and the right side surface.

[0076] In addition, in the present embodiment, if the pump speed is operated on the pump speed operation unit 21 on the left side surface or the right side surface, due to the display synchronization function, not only the pump display unit 22 on the side where the operation is performed but also the pump display unit 22 on the side where the operation is not performed are switched to a water pump information screen, which mainly displays information related to a state of the water pump, including the pump speed. For example, when the operation of the pump speed operation unit 21 on the left side surface is started, not only the pump display unit 22 on the left side surface but also the pump display unit 22 on the right side surface are automatically switched to the water pump information screen. As described above, the screen of the pump display unit 22 on the side on which the pump speed is not operated is also automatically switched to the water pump information screen, so that a fireman or the like looking at the screen can recognize that the operation of the pump speed operation unit 21 on the other side is being carried out.

[0077] Regarding the operation of the DLS, in a case where calling up a DLS mode screen for performing an operation of the DLS or switching to the DLS mode screen is selected on the pump display unit 22 on the left side surface or the right side surface, the pump display unit 22 on the other side is simultaneously switched to the DLS mode screen by means of the display synchronization function.

[0078] In this way, when switching to the DLS mode screen or the like is performed on the pumping display unit 22 of one side, the screen of the pumping display unit 22 of the other side is also automatically switched to the DLS mode screen, so that a firefighter looking at the pumping display unit 22 of the other side can recognize that a DLS mode operation is being performed on the pumping display unit 22 of one side, thereby preventing a discharge operation in the DLS mode from being performed simultaneously from the pumping display units 22 of both sides, so that the firefighting work can be continued smoothly.

[0079] A dispensing mode in the DLS mode includes a dispensing of wet foam, a dispensing of dry foam, and a dispensing of a mixed solution of a chemical and water.

[0080] When a discharge operation is performed in the DLS mode on the pump display unit 22 on the left-side surface or the right-side surface, due to the display lock function, the pump display unit 22 on the other side is in a lock operation state in which no operation is received on the DLS, and a lock symbol indicating that the pump display unit 22 on the other side is in the lock operation state is displayed on the screen.

[0081] Accordingly, when the discharge in the DLS mode is performed on the pump display unit 22 of one side, the operation of the DLS on the pump display unit 22 of the other side is restricted, and thus the discharge operation in the DLS mode can be prevented from being performed simultaneously on the pump display units 22 of both sides with greater reliability.

[0082] In addition, since the pump display unit 22 displays the lock operation state in the lock operation state, a firefighter can immediately recognize that the pump display unit 22 is in the lock operation state and can smoothly continue the fire-fighting work without wasting time for unnecessary checking or the like due to a judgment as to whether the pump display unit 22 has a failure or an operation error.

[0083] When a nozzle pressure (the water outlet pressure) of the fire hose 26 connected to the water outlet port 23 is set on the pump display unit 22 on the left-side surface or the right-side surface, due to the display lock function, the pump display unit 22 on the other side is in a value setting lock state in which the set value of the water outlet pressure does not receive any change operation, and a lock symbol indicating the value setting lock state is displayed on the screen.

[0084] In this way, the water outlet pressure can be prevented from being accidentally changed, and the safety of a firefighter who carries out the fire extinguishing operation by means of a nozzle of the fire hose 26 can be increased.

[0085] The pump display unit 22 may be provided with a lock release switch that receives a release operation related to the lock operation state or the value setting lock state. In this case, when the lock release switch is pressed on the pump display unit 22 that is in the lock operation state or the value setting lock state, the lock operation state or the value setting lock state is released except during water dispensing.
