Detailed description of the invention
[0005] The weight of a clamping unit and the weight of an injection unit are relatively large. Therefore, it is not necessarily easy to finely adjust the relative position between the clamping unit and the injection unit by moving the clamping unit and the injection unit relative to each other. One objective of the present disclosure is to provide an injection molding machine that is capable of advantageously adjusting the relative position between a clamping unit and an injection unit. [Design][Injection molding machine configuration]
[0006] Fig. Figure 1 is a schematic diagram showing a configuration of an injection molding machine 10. In the present embodiment, a front-back direction D1, a left-right direction D2, and an up-down direction D3 are defined. The front-back direction D1 corresponds to the depth direction of the injection molding machine 10. The left-right direction D2 corresponds to the width direction of the injection molding machine 10. The up-down direction D3 corresponds to the height direction of the injection molding machine 10.
[0007] It should be noted that one direction in the front-back direction D1 is a forward direction D11 and the other direction in the front-back direction D1 is a backward direction D12. Furthermore, a direction in the left-right direction D2 is a leftward direction D21 (see Fig. 2) and the other direction in the left-right direction D2 a rightward direction D22 (see Fig. 2) Furthermore, one direction in the up-down direction D3 is an upward direction D31 and the other direction in the up-down direction D3 is a downward direction D32. In the present embodiment, the downward direction D32 is a direction in which gravity acts, but is not limited to this.
[0008] The injection molding machine 10 comprises a clamping unit 12 and an injection unit 14. The clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are separable from each other.
[0009] The clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are connected to each other at a connecting section 16. The connecting section 16 is a section where the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are in contact with each other.
[0010] The clamping unit 12 comprises a first machine base 20 and a clamping device 22. The first machine base 20 is a base on which the clamping device 22 is mounted. The clamping device 22 comprises a stationary plate 24, a rear plate 26, a movable plate 28, a mold 30, a plurality of tie bars 32, and a plate drive mechanism 34.
[0011] The stationary plate 24 and the rear plate 26 are installed on the upper surface of the first machine base 20 with a gap between them. A nozzle insertion hole HL is formed in the stationary plate 24. The movable plate 28 is arranged between the stationary plate 24 and the rear plate 26. The mold 30 is formed by a fixed mold half M1 and a movable mold half M2. The fixed mold half M1 is attached to the surface of the stationary plate 24 facing the movable plate 28. The movable mold half M2 is attached to the surface of the movable plate 28 facing the stationary plate 24. Each of the plurality of tie bars 32 is a rod-shaped element. One end section of each tie bar 32 is attached to the stationary plate 24, and the other end section of each tie bar 32 is attached to the rear plate 26.Each of the beams 32 penetrates the movable plate 28, and the movable plate 28 is movable along the beams 32.
[0012] The plate drive mechanism 34 closes the mold 30 by moving the movable plate 28 in a plate approach direction (the reverse direction D12). The plate approach direction is the direction in which the movable plate 28 moves closer to the stationary plate 24 and is also the direction in which the mold 30 is closed. The plate drive mechanism 34 opens the mold 30 by moving the movable plate 28 in a plate separation direction (the forward direction D11).
[0013] The plate separation direction is the direction in which the movable plate 28 separates from the stationary plate 24, and is also the direction in which the mold 30 opens. It should be noted that the opening and closing direction of the mold 30 is a direction that lies along the front-back direction D1.
[0014] The injection unit 14 comprises a second machine base 36 and an injection device 38. The second machine base 36 is a base on which the injection device 38 is mounted. The second machine base 36 is formed by a machine base main body 36A and a connecting element 36B. The connecting element 36B is attached to an end section E1 of the machine base main body 36A in the forward direction D11. A plurality of guide rails 40 are installed on the upper surface of the machine base main body 36A. The plurality of guide rails 40 are located between the connecting element 36B and an end section E2 of the machine base main body 36A in the reverse direction D12. The plurality of guide rails 40 extend parallel along the front-back direction D1 at regular intervals in the left-right direction D2.
[0015] The injection device 38 comprises an injection section 42, a cylinder part 44, a nozzle 46, and a nozzle contact mechanism 48. The injection section 42 is designed to be movable on the guide rails 40. The cylinder part 44 extends from the injection section 42 in the forward direction D11. The nozzle 46 is designed in a tubular form that communicates with the interior of the cylinder part 44 and extends from the tip of the cylinder part 44 in the forward direction D11.
[0016] The nozzle contact mechanism 48 is a mechanism that moves the injection section 42 in the forward-reverse direction D1. The nozzle contact mechanism 48 comprises a motor 50, a ball screw spindle 52, and a ball screw nut 54.
[0017] The motor 50 moves the injection section 42 in the forward direction D11 or the reverse direction D12. The ball screw 52 extends along the forward-reverse direction D1. An end section of the ball screw 52 in the reverse direction D12 is connected to a rotor shaft of the motor 50 via a coupling 56. An end section of the ball screw 52 in the forward direction D11 is connected to the connecting element 36B. The ball screw nut 54 is screwed onto the ball screw 52 and connected to the injection section 42 via a spring 58. The ball screw nut 54 is not rotatable relative to the injection section 42. It should be noted that the spring 58 can be removed.
[0018] When the motor 50 is driven in a first direction of rotation, the ball screw 52, which is connected to the rotor shaft of the motor 50, rotates in the first direction of rotation, and the ball screw nut 54, which is screwed to the ball screw 52, moves in the forward direction D11. In accordance with the movement of the injection section 42 in the forward direction D11, the nozzle 46 is inserted into the nozzle insertion hole HL of the stationary plate 24. When the nozzle 46 reaches a nozzle contact section (a sprue bushing) of the mold 30, a condition is created in which the injection section 42 can inject molding material from the nozzle 46 via the cylinder section 44.
[0019] When the motor 50 is driven in a second direction of rotation opposite to the first direction of rotation, the ball screw spindle 52 rotates in the second direction, and the ball screw nut 54 moves in the reverse direction D12. As a result, the injection section 42 moves in the reverse direction D12. Corresponding to the movement of the injection section 42 in the reverse direction D12, the nozzle 46 moves away from the stationary plate 24. In this case, the injection section 42 does not inject the molding material from the nozzle 46. [Connection section configuration]
[0020] Fig. Figure 2 is a diagram showing connection section 16. Connection section 16 is formed by a pair of first connectors 60 and a pair of second connectors 62.
[0021] The pair of first connecting pieces 60 is arranged on a rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24. The movable plate 28 faces a front surface of the stationary plate 24, which is opposite the rear surface 24F. The pair of first connecting pieces 60 includes connecting surfaces 60F to which the second connecting pieces 62 are connected. The connecting surfaces 60F are each located at a position spaced from the rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24 in the rearward direction D12 and are substantially parallel to the rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24.
[0022] The pair of first connecting pieces 60 is arranged symmetrically in the left-right direction D2 with respect to the nozzle insertion hole HL. A first connecting piece 60A is the first connecting piece 60 on the left side. A first connecting piece 60B is the first connecting piece 60 on the right side. The first connecting piece 60A and the first connecting piece 60B have the same configuration and project slightly in the rear direction D12 from the rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24. The first connecting pieces 60 are each provided with a plurality of screw holes 64.
[0023] The pair of second connecting pieces 62 is arranged on the connecting element 36B. The connecting element 36B comprises a support base section 36B1 and a pair of arm sections 36B2. The support base section 36B1 is attached to the upper surface of the machine base main body 36A. It should be noted that the support base section 36B1 can also be attached to the side surface of the machine base main body 36A.
[0024] The pair of arm sections 36B2 is arranged with a gap between them in the left-right direction D2 and extends from the support base section 36B1 in the upward direction D31. A nozzle centerline LN is positioned between the pair of arm sections 36B2. The nozzle centerline LN is an imaginary line that passes through the axis of the nozzle 46 (see Fig. 1) The pair of arm sections 36B2 is arranged symmetrically in the left-right direction D2 with respect to the nozzle centerline LN. An upper end section of each of the two arm sections 36B2 forms the second connecting piece 62. It should be noted that a section of the arm section 36B2 other than the upper end section can form the second connecting piece 62.
[0025] The pair of second connecting pieces 62 includes connecting surfaces 62F, which connect the first connecting pieces 60. The connecting surfaces 62F are located at positions spaced from the arm sections 36B2 in the forward direction D11.
[0026] The pair of second connecting pieces 62 is arranged symmetrically in the left-right direction D2 with respect to the nozzle centerline LN. A second connecting piece 62A is the second connecting piece 62 on the left side. A second connecting piece 62B is the second connecting piece 62 on the right side.
[0027] The second connecting piece 62A and the second connecting piece 62B have the same configuration and protrude slightly in the forward direction D11 from the arm sections 36B2.
[0028] The second connecting pieces 62 are each provided with a plurality of insertion holes 66 that penetrate them along the front-back direction D1. It should be noted that the insertion holes 66 are holes through which fasteners such as bolts pass. The outer shape of the cross-section of the insertion hole 66 can be circular or elliptical. The fasteners passing through the insertion holes 66 are screwed into the screw holes 64 of the first connecting pieces 60, thereby connecting the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14. [Connection method]
[0029] The clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are connected as follows. First, the connecting surface 60F of each of the first connecting pieces 60 and the connecting surface 62F of each of the second connecting pieces 62 are positioned so that they face each other in the front-back direction D1 with a gap between them. Next, the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are moved relative to each other to bring them closer together. When the connecting surface 60F of each of the first connecting pieces 60 and the connecting surface 62F of each of the second connecting pieces 62 come into contact, the relative movement between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 is stopped. Then, the fasteners, which pass through the insertion holes 66, are screwed into the screw holes 64, thus fastening the first connecting pieces 60 and the second connecting pieces 62, which form the connecting section 16, together. As a result, the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are connected to each other. [Positioning mechanism]
[0030] In the present embodiment, a positioning mechanism 68 is provided which determines the relative position between the closing unit 12 and the injection unit 14. The positioning mechanism 68 is provided on the connecting section 16. In the present embodiment, of a pair of connecting sections 16, a left connecting section 16A is provided with the positioning mechanism 68, and a right connecting section 16B is not provided with the positioning mechanism 68.
[0031] It should be noted that the positioning mechanism 68 may be provided on the right connecting section 16B and does not necessarily have to be provided on the left connecting section 16A. Alternatively, the positioning mechanism 68 may be provided on both the left connecting section 16A and the right connecting section 16B.
[0032] The positioning mechanism 68 comprises a projection 70 and a recess 72. The projection 70 is provided on the first connecting piece 60. The recess 72 is provided in the second connecting piece 62. It should be noted that the projection 70 may also be provided on the second connecting piece 62. In this case, the recess 72 is provided in the first connecting piece 60.
[0033] The projection 70 extends in the rearward direction D12 from the connecting surface 60F of the first connecting piece 60. It should be noted that if the projection 70 is provided on the second connecting piece 62, it extends in the forward direction D11 from the connecting surface 62F of the second connecting piece 62. The projection 70 has a guide surface SL. The guide surface SL is designed to facilitate the fitting between the projection 70 and the recess 72. In the present embodiment, the shape of the projection 70 is projectile-shaped. In this case, the outer circumferential surface of a portion of the projection 70, whose cross-sectional area decreases towards the tip, serves as the guide surface SL.
[0034] The recess 72 is recessed in the reverse direction D12 from the connecting surface 62F of the second connecting piece 62. It should be noted that if the recess 72 is provided in the first connecting piece 60, the recess 72 is recessed in the forward direction D11 from the connecting surface 60F of the first connecting piece 60. The projection 70 can be inserted into the recess 72.
[0035] The recess 72 penetrates the second connector 62, but need not penetrate it completely. The connecting surface 60F of the first connector 60 and the connecting surface 62F of the second connector 62 must be able to contact each other. Therefore, the recess depth of the recess 72 must be equal to or greater than the projection depth of the projection 70. The recess depth of the recess 72 is the length of the recess 72 from the connecting surface 62F in the rear direction D12. The projection depth of the projection 70 is the length of the projection 70 from the connecting surface 60F in the rear direction D12. It should be noted that if the recess 72 is provided in the first connector 60, the recess depth is the length of the recess 72 from the connecting surface 60F in the forward direction D11.In this case, the projection amount of the projection 70 is the length of the projection 70 from the connecting surface 62F in the direction of the forward direction D11.
[0036] Fig. Figure 3 is a diagram showing a state in which the connecting surface 60F of the first connector 60 and the connecting surface 62F of the second connector 62 face each other. This state is a state in which the first connector 60 and the second connector 62 are viewed from above. Fig. 3 is the relative position between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 shifted in the left-right direction D2. In this state, when the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are moved relative to approach each other, the guide surface SL of the projection 70 and the edge of the recess 72 come into contact. As the relative movement continues, it then slides, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 4, the projection 70 is inserted into the recess 72 by means of the guide surface SL. As a result, the projection 70 and the recess 72 are fitted together, and the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are positioned in the left-right direction D2 by this fitting. That is, the relative sliding fit between the projection 70 and the recess 72 corrects the displacement of the relative position between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 in the left-right direction D2.
[0037] In this way, the projection 70 and the recess 72 slide relative to each other and are fitted together in accordance with the relative movement of the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14. Consequently, the relative position between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 in the left-right direction D2 can be easily and precisely adjusted. [Modified embodiment]
[0038] The embodiment described above can be modified as follows. In the following modifications, the same reference numerals are used for the same components as in the embodiment described above. Furthermore, in the following modifications, the description that overlaps with that of the embodiment described above is omitted. (Variation 1)
[0039] Fig. Figure 5 is a diagram showing a locking unit 12 according to a first modification. Fig. Figure 6 is a diagram showing an injection unit 14 according to the first modification. In this modification, a central connection section 16C is newly provided in addition to the left connection section 16A and the right connection section 16B. The central connection section 16C is arranged in a top view between the left connection section 16A and the right connection section 16B.
[0040] The central connecting section 16C is joined by a first connecting piece 60C (see Fig. 5) and a second connecting piece 62C (see Fig. 6) formed. As in Fig. As shown in Figure 5, the first connector 60C does not protrude from the rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24, and the connecting surface 60F of the first connector 60C is flush with the rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24. In other words, the connecting surface 60F of the first connector 60C is located further in the forward direction D11 than the connecting surface 60F of the first connector 60A and the connecting surface 60F of the first connector 60B.
[0041] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 6, the second connecting piece 62C is arranged on a connecting element 36C. The connecting element 36C is one of the components that, together with the machine base main body 36A and the connecting element 36B, form the second machine base 36. The connecting element 36C is attached to the end section E1 of the machine base main body 36A in the forward direction D11 and extends downwards. A portion of the connecting element 36C serves as the second connecting piece 62C. The connecting surface 62F of the second connecting piece 62C is located further in the forward direction D11 than the connecting surface 62F of the second connecting piece 62A and the connecting surface 62F of the second connecting piece 62B.
[0042] In the present modification, the projections 70 and the recesses 72 are provided on two connecting sections 16, that is, the left connecting section 16A and the central connecting section 16C. Accordingly, a load exerted on the positioning mechanism 68 can be reduced compared to a case in which the positioning mechanism 68 is provided on one connecting section 16.
[0043] It should be noted that in the present modification, the connecting element 36B need not be provided. In the case where the connecting element 36B is not provided, the projection 70 and the recess 72 are only provided on the central connecting section 16C. Even in this case, the same effects as those of the embodiment described above can be achieved. (Variation 2)
[0044] Fig. Figure 7 is a diagram showing a clamping unit 12 according to a second modification. The clamping unit 12 of the second modification is provided instead of the clamping unit 12 of the first modification. In the clamping unit 12 according to the second modification, the first connecting piece 60A, the first connecting piece 60B and the first connecting piece 60C are not provided on the stationary plate 24, but on the first machine base 20.
[0045] In this modification, the first machine base 20 comprises a machine base main body 20A, a connecting element 37, and a connecting element 39. The connecting element 37 and the connecting element 39 can be formed integrally with the machine base main body 20A of the first machine base 20. Alternatively, the connecting element 37 and the connecting element 39, which are separate elements from the machine base main body 20A of the first machine base 20, can be attached to the machine base main body 20A.
[0046] For example, the connecting element 37 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape and is arranged on an end section E3 of the machine base main body 20A of the first machine base 20 in the rearward direction D12. The connecting element 39 is arranged on the connecting element 37. The connecting element 39 has the same configuration as the connecting element 36B.
[0047] An upper end section of one of the two arm sections 36B2 of the connecting element 39 forms the first connecting piece 60A. Furthermore, an upper end section of the other arm section 36B2 of the connecting element 39 forms the first connecting piece 60B. In addition, a part of the connecting element 37 forms the first connecting piece 60C.
[0048] In this way, even if the first connecting piece 60A, the first connecting piece 60B and the first connecting piece 60C are provided on the first machine base 20, the same effects as those of the first modification can be achieved. (Variation 3)
[0049] Fig. Figure 8 is a diagram showing a connecting section 16A according to a third modification. In this modification, the recess 72 is a through hole that penetrates the second connecting piece 62. A size SZ1 of the recess 72 in the top-bottom direction D3 is larger than a size SZ2 of the recess 72 in the left-right direction D2. In other words, the shape of the recess 72 is an elongated hole shape. It should be noted that the shape of the recess 72 is not limited to the elongated hole shape.
[0050] The projection 70 can be attached to and detached from the first connecting piece 60. It should be noted that if the projection 70 is provided on the second connecting piece 62, the projection 70 can be attached to and detached from the second connecting piece 62.
[0051] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 9, the projection 70 comprises an attachable and detachable section 80 and a main body section 82. The attachable and detachable section 80 is a section that can be attached to and detached from a screw hole SH. The screw hole SH is formed in the first connecting piece 60 (or the second connecting piece 62). The attachable and detachable section 80 is in a rod shape and has a threaded groove 80G on its outer circumferential surface. The main body section 82 is a section that is inserted into the recess 72. The main body section 82 is provided at one end of the attachable and detachable section 80 and has the guide surface SL on its outer circumferential surface. The outer diameter of the main body section 82 is larger than the outer diameter of the attachable and detachable section 80.
[0052] A tool fitting section 84, to which a tool for rotating the projection 70 can be adapted, is formed in the main body section 82. For example, if the tool is a slotted screwdriver, the tool fitting section 84 has a straight groove. Alternatively, if the tool is a Phillips screwdriver, the tool fitting section 84 has a cross groove. Alternatively, if the tool is a hexagonal rod, the tool fitting section 84 has a hexagonal hole. Alternatively, if the tool is a wrench, the tool fitting section 84 has a hexagonal outer diameter section.
[0053] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 10, if a hub BS is formed on the first connecting piece 60 (or on the second connecting piece 62), the projection 70 can be attached to and detached from the hub BS. A screw hole BH1 is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the hub BS. In this case, a hub fitting hole 80H is provided at an end section of the attachable and detachable section 80 instead of the threaded groove 80G. Furthermore, a screw hole BH2 is formed on the outer circumferential surface of the attachable and detachable section 80. The screw hole BH1 of the hub BS and the screw hole BH2 of the attachable and detachable section 80, which is inserted into the hub hole, are fastened by a screw (not shown). The tool fitting section 84 is formed on the screw.
[0054] In this modification, the projection 70 inserted into the recess 72 (the through-hole) can be removed through the recess 72 (the through-hole). Accordingly, the projection 70 can be removed after the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 have been connected. Therefore, contact between the projection 70 and the recess 72 due to the application of an unintentional force to the clamping unit 12 or the injection unit 14 during connection is avoided. Furthermore, contact between the projection 70 and the recess 72 can be avoided when the connected clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are separated. Consequently, wear and damage to the projection 70 or the recess 72 can be prevented. (Variation 4)
[0055] The shape of the projection 70 is not limited to the projectile shape. For example, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 11A, the shape of the projection 70 can be a rectangular parallelepiped shape. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 11B, the shape of the projection 70 can be a triangular prism shape. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 11C, the shape of the projection 70 can be a hemispherical shape. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 11D, the shape of the projection 70 can be a circular column shape. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 11E, the shape of projection 70 can be conical. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. As shown in 11F, the shape of the projection 70 is a semicircular column shape.
[0056] It should be noted that the guide surface SL does not necessarily have to be located on the projection 70, as in a case where the shape of the projection 70 is a rectangular parallelepiped. In this case, the guide surface SL is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the recess 72.
[0057] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 11G, the projection 70 can be formed by a base section 70A and a main body section 70B. The base section 70A projects from the first connecting piece 60 (or from the second connecting piece 62). The main body section 70B is connected to the base section 70A and extends in the top-bottom direction D3. In the example of Fig. In 11G, the base section 70A is formed in a rectangular parallelepiped shape. The main body section 70B is formed in a circular column shape, and the outer circumferential surface of the main body section 70B serves as the guide surface SL.
[0058] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 11H, the main body section 70B can be formed by a shaft section 70B_1 and a roller 70B_2, which is rotatably attached to the shaft section 70B_1. In the example of Fig. In section 11H, the roller 70B_2 is formed in a ring shape. The roller 70B_2 can roll on the inner circumferential surface of the recess 72. This facilitates the relative sliding of the projection 70 and the recess 72 relative to each other. (Variation 5)
[0059] The shape of the recess 72 in the case of penetration by the second connecting piece 62 is not a round hole (see Fig. 2 and Fig. 6) or an elongated hole (see Fig. 8) limited. For example, as in Fig. As shown in Figure 12A, the shape of the recess 72 can be a rectangular hole shape. Additionally, the shape of the recess 72 is not particularly restricted if the second connecting piece 62 does not penetrate it. For example, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 12B, the shape of the recess 72 can be a semi-cylindrical groove shape. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. As shown in Figure 12C, the shape of the recess 72 can be a U-groove shape. Alternatively, as shown in Fig. Figure 12D shows that the shape of recess 72 is a V-groove. Although not shown, the shape of recess 72 could also be a hemispherical groove.
[0060] It should be noted that in the case where the shape of the recess 72 is a V-groove shape or the like, the guide surface SL is formed on the inner circumferential surface of the recess 72. (Variation 6)
[0061] Fig. 13A is a diagram showing a connection section 16A according to a sixth modification before the relative position is set. Fig. Figure 13B is a diagram showing the connection section 16A according to the sixth modification after the relative position has been set. In this modification, the injection molding machine 10 includes a positioner 90 for positioning the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 vertically. The vertical positioning is performed, for example, by an adjuster (not shown) located on a leg section of the first machine base 20 or the second machine base 36.
[0062] In the present modification, the injection molding machine 10 comprises a first positioner 90A and a second positioner 90B as positioner 90. The first positioner 90A is provided on the clamping unit 12. For example, the first positioner 90A is, but is not limited to, an upper surface F1 of the first connecting piece 60A, which projects in the reverse direction D12 from the rear surface 24F of the stationary plate 24. The second positioner 90B is provided on the injection unit 14. For example, the second positioner 90B is, but is not limited to, an upper surface F2 of the second connecting piece 62A, which is provided on the upper end section of the arm section 36B2.
[0063] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 14, the injection molding machine 10 can include a third positioner 90C in addition to the positioner 90. The third positioner 90C can be located on the clamping unit 12 or on the injection unit 14. Fig. Figure 14 shows an example of a case in which the third positioner 90C is provided on the clamping unit 12. The third positioner 90C has a scale 92. The scale 92 is formed, for example, on the first connecting piece 60A along the top-bottom direction D3. In this modification, a flat section 94 extending along the top-bottom direction D3 is formed between the connecting surface 60F and a side surface F3 of the first connecting piece 60A, and the scale 92 is provided on the flat section 94.
[0064] In this way, the operator can easily adjust the relative position in the vertical direction between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 by providing the positioner 90, while visually observing the positioner 90. Furthermore, if the positioner 90 has the scale 92, it is easy to increase the setting accuracy. (Variation 7)
[0065] As in Fig. As shown in Figure 15, the injection unit 14 can include a second machine base 100 and a second injection device 110. In this case, the second machine base 36 and the injection device 38 need not be provided.
[0066] The second machine base 100 is a base on which the second injection unit 110 is mounted. The second injection unit 110 is an injection device that injects a molding material from a direction (the left-right direction D2) that intersects the opening and closing direction of the mold 30 (the front-back direction D1). The second injection unit 110 is located on the right or left side of the mold 30. Fig. Figure 15 shows an example of a case in which the second injection device 110 is located on the left side of the mold 30.
[0067] The second injection device 110 comprises an injection section 42A, a cylinder part 44A, and a nozzle 46A. The injection section 42A is designed to be movable on guide rails 40A. The guide rails 40A are provided on the upper surface of a machine base main body 100A of the second machine base 100. The cylinder part 44A extends from the injection section 42A in a direction that lies along the left-right direction D2. The nozzle 46A extends from the tip of the cylinder part 44A in a direction that lies along the left-right direction D2. The nozzle 46A can be inserted into a second nozzle insertion hole (not shown) formed in the mold 30. The second nozzle insertion hole can be formed in the fixed mold half M1 or in the movable mold half M2.Alternatively, the second nozzle insertion holes can be formed in both the fixed mold half M1 and the movable mold half M2.
[0068] In the case where the injection unit 14 includes the second injection device 110, the injection molding machine 10 includes a connecting section 16D at which the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are connected. The first machine base 20 of the clamping unit 12 and the second machine base 100 of the injection unit 14 are connected at the connecting section 16D.
[0069] For example, the first machine base 20 includes a connecting element 120 with the same configuration as the connecting element 39 described above ( Fig. 7) The connecting element 120 is arranged on an end section E10 of the machine base main body 20A of the first machine base 20 in the counterclockwise direction D21. The second machine base 100 includes a connecting element 130 with the same configuration as the connecting element 36B described above ( Fig. 2) The connecting element 130 is arranged on an end section E20 of the machine base main body 100A of the second machine base 100 in the clockwise direction D22.
[0070] The projection 70 provided on the connecting element 120 and the recess 72 provided in the connecting element 130 form the positioning mechanism 68. In this case, the projection 70 and the recess 72 are fitted together by sliding relative to each other in a direction that lies along the left-right direction D2. The clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 are positioned by this fitting in a direction that lies along the front-back direction D1. (Variation 8)
[0071] The embodiment described above and its variations can be combined in any way as long as no contradiction arises. [Impact in operation]
[0072] As described above, according to the present embodiment, one of the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 is provided with the projection 70, and the other of the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 is provided with the recess 72. The projection 70 and the recess 72 are fitted into one another by sliding relative to each other in a direction that lies along the injection direction of the molding material, and the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit are positioned in a horizontal plane by this fitting in a direction perpendicular to the injection direction. This makes it possible to finely adjust the relative position between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 in conjunction with the process of bringing the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 closer together. Consequently, the relative position between the clamping unit 12 and the injection unit 14 can be advantageously adjusted. [Additional note]
