Abstract
Description
[0001] The invention relates to an adapter device for connecting a drainage device to a pipe end that is vertically sunk into a ground. The invention further relates to a system comprising a drainage device, a pipe end, and such an adapter device.
[0002] Connecting drainage devices, such as drainage channels, to drainage pipes is typically done using double sockets. To do this, a double socket is pushed over the end of the drainage pipe, with the other side of the double socket being connected to the drainage device.
[0003] It sometimes happens that drainage pipes are laid in the ground in such a way that the pipe end is recessed vertically, particularly flush with the ground surface. In such cases, the outer surface of the drainage pipe at the pipe end must first be exposed by removing the surrounding soil in order to slide the double socket over the pipe end. The resulting recess in the ground must then be closed again. Connecting the drainage device to such a pipe end therefore involves considerable installation effort.
[0004] It is therefore the object of the present invention to facilitate the connection of a drainage device to a pipe end which is sunk vertically into a ground.
[0005] This object is achieved by an adapter device according to claim 1 and a system according to claim 9.
[0006] Specifically, the object is achieved according to the invention by an adapter device for connecting a drainage device to a pipe end that is vertically sunk into a floor. The adapter device comprises the following: • a drainage device arranged on a bottom side of the adapter device and insertable into the pipe end; • a support surface for laying on the floor, the support surface being formed on the underside so that it encloses the drainage device; and • a receiving device for receiving the drainage device, wherein the receiving device is arranged on an upper side of the adapter device.
[0007] The invention is therefore based on the idea of providing an adapter device designed to establish a fluid connection between the drainage device and the pipe end that is recessed vertically, in particular completely, into the ground, in particular into a bare concrete ceiling. For this purpose, the adapter device has a drainage device that can be inserted into the pipe end. To connect to the pipe end, the drainage device is inserted into the pipe end, so that the outer surface of the drainage pipe does not have to be exposed for connection, as was previously the case. This eliminates both the removal of the surrounding soil and the subsequent closing of the resulting recess, thus significantly reducing the assembly effort.
[0008] The support surface according to the invention enables a particularly simple connection of the adapter device to the pipe end, since only the support surface needs to be brought into contact with the ground. Since the support surface determines the position of the drain device inside the drainage pipe when inserting the drain device into the pipe end, the installation effort is further reduced.
[0009] Because the support surface encloses the drainage device, it seals the connection between the adapter device and the pipe end when installed, thus reducing the risk of fluid leakage from the adapter device and / or the drainage pipe. This prevents damage to the adapter device, the drainage pipe, or the surrounding soil caused by such uncontrolled fluid leakage.
[0010] The receiving device according to the invention enables a simple fluid connection between the drainage device and the adapter device. Additional connecting devices are thus eliminated. The smaller number of components further simplifies assembly and also reduces manufacturing costs.
[0011] The adapter device according to the invention is designed for connecting a drainage device to a pipe end of a drainage pipe or drainage line, for example, with a nominal diameter of DN 100 or DN 110. Specifically, the adapter device is used to connect the drainage device to a pipe end that is vertically recessed into a floor, in particular a bare concrete ceiling. The adapter device can also be used to connect drainage devices to other or differently arranged pipe ends. It is also possible to use the inventive concept generally in connection with connecting devices to pipe ends.
[0012] Preferred embodiments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
[0013] It is advantageous if the receiving device has a sealing means designed to connect the adapter device to the drainage device in a fluid-tight manner. This prevents fluid from escaping at the connection point between the receiving device and the drainage device and thus causing damage. The sealing means also holds the drainage device firmly in the receiving device through its sealing function, thus reducing the risk of the connection coming loose, for example due to escaping fluid or movements of the surrounding soil and / or the drainage device. In this way, the connection of the drainage device to the pipe end is advantageously reinforced.
[0014] The upper side is preferably adapted to receive a sealing means for sealing the underside. In this way, it is possible to arrange a sealing means on the upper side which, when installed, reduces, in particular prevents, the penetration of liquids from the environment into the area between the underside of the adapter device and the ground. The sealing means thus advantageously protects the seat of the adapter device on the ground as well as the components beneath the sealing means from damage, for example due to moisture or the accumulation of liquid. The sealing means also holds the adapter device, specifically the support surface, firmly on the ground through its sealing function. This reduces the risk of the adapter device slipping relative to the ground and thus further strengthens the connection of the drainage device to the pipe end.
[0015] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the adapter device comprises a fastening means designed to fasten the sealing means to the upper side in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner. The fastening means thus fixes the sealing means to the upper side and thus prevents the sealing means from slipping relative to the adapter device, for example, during assembly or operation. The force-fitting and / or form-fitting connection enables particularly simple and quick fastening of the sealing means, which can also be quickly and easily removed, thus further reducing the assembly effort.
[0016] For a particularly tight attachment of the sealing agent to the upper side, it is advantageous if the upper side has a connecting surface designed for a material-to-material bond with the sealing agent. This material-to-material bond has the further advantage of eliminating the need for additional mechanical fastening elements, thus further reducing manufacturing costs.
[0017] In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the adapter device comprises an odor trap. The odor trap prevents the escape of foul-smelling gases from the drainage pipe through the adapter device and the drainage object to the outside, thus advantageously expanding the functionality of the adapter device. This functional coupling eliminates the need for additional odor traps, further reducing installation effort.
[0018] It is preferred that the odor trap be arranged at least partially in the drainage device. In this way, the odor trap, when installed, is arranged at least partially in the drainage pipe, advantageously ensuring a low installation height of the adapter device above the pipe end or the base. This expands the application range of the adapter device.
[0019] The adapter device preferably has at least one drainage opening for secondary drainage. This advantageously provides the possibility of directing part of the liquid flowing through the adapter device to the outside for infiltration into the ground.
[0020] Within the scope of the invention, a system is further provided with a drainage device, a pipe end, and a previously described adapter device, wherein the drainage device is connected to the pipe end by the adapter device.
[0021] For the effect and advantages of the system according to the invention, reference is made to the explanations in connection with the adapter device. The adapter device is thus disclosed and claimed both as part of the system and in isolation, i.e., independently of the system.
[0022] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments with reference to the attached schematic drawings. In these drawings: Fig. 1 a cross-section through an adapter device according to an embodiment of the invention; Fig. 2 a perspective view of the adapter device from Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a perspective exploded view of the adapter device of Fig. 1 and a drainage device; Fig. 4 is an exploded perspective view of the adapter device from Fig. 1 and a further drainage device; Fig. 5 a cross section through an adapter device according to a further embodiment of the invention; Fig. 6 a cross section through the adapter device from Fig. 1. Fig. 7 a cross section through an adapter device according to a further embodiment of the invention; Fig. 8 a cross section through the adapter device from Fig. 7 with a sealing agent; Fig. 9 is an exploded perspective view of the adapter device of Fig. 2; and Fig. 10 a cross section through an adapter device according to a further embodiment of the invention.
[0023] Fig. 1 shows a cross section through an adapter device 10 which is used to connect a drainage device (in Fig. 1 not shown) is formed on a pipe end 40 of a drainage pipe 41, wherein the adapter device 10 is connected to the pipe end 40. The pipe end 40 is recessed vertically into the ground, specifically into a bare concrete ceiling 40, so that the pipe end 40 is substantially flush with the ground surface. The pipe end 40 can also be recessed into the ground such that it is arranged below the ground surface and / or inclined relative to the vertical direction.
[0024] The adapter device 10 has a drainage device 13 arranged on a bottom side 11 of the adapter device 10 and inserted into the pipe end 40. For this purpose, the drainage device 13 is designed to protrude from the bottom side 11, so that it extends substantially vertically into the pipe end 40. The drainage device 13 has the geometry of a pipe socket with a substantially circular cross-section. Other arrangements and geometries of the drainage device 13 are possible.
[0025] The adapter device 10 has a support surface 14, wherein the adapter device 10 rests on the ground with the support surface 14. The support surface 14 is formed on the underside 11 such that it encloses the drainage device 13. The adapter device 10 thus rests on the ground around the pipe end 40 such that it seals the connection point between the adapter device 10 and the pipe end 40 to the outside. Specifically, the support surface 14 extends from the drainage device 13 essentially over the entire underside radially outwards to an outer edge 29 of the adapter device 10. It thus has a substantially circular ring-shaped geometry. The support surface can have other geometries and be arranged differently, as long as it encloses the drainage device.
[0026] The support surface 14 is essentially flat when viewed macroscopically and has concentric embossings surrounding the drainage device 13 when viewed microscopically. The support surface can also be flat when viewed microscopically, i.e., without embossings.
[0027] The adapter device 10 has a receiving device 15 for receiving the drainage device 50, wherein the receiving device 15 is arranged on a top side 12 of the adapter device 10. The receiving device 15 has a receiving opening 26 for receiving the drainage device 50, into which the drainage device 50, specifically a connecting piece 51 of the drainage device 50, can be inserted or inserted. Specifically, the receiving device 15 has the geometry of a pipe sleeve, which is designed for connection to the connecting piece 51 of the drainage device 50.
[0028] The receiving device 15 is arranged on the side opposite the discharge device 13 and is fluidly connected to the discharge device 13. Specifically, the receiving device 15 and the discharge device 13 are arranged concentrically to one another. The receiving device 15 and the discharge device 13 can be arranged differently, for example, offset from one another.
[0029] The inner diameter of the receiving device 15 is larger than the inner diameter of the drain device 13. The height of the receiving device 15 is smaller than the height of the drain device 13. Other ratios of these geometric dimensions are possible.
[0030] The receiving device 15 has a sealing means 16 designed to fluid-tightly connect the adapter device 10 to the drainage device 50. The sealing means 16 is arranged on the inside of the receiving opening 26 and thus encloses the receiving opening 26. In the connected state, the connecting piece 51 of the drainage device 50 is arranged in the receiving opening 26, wherein the sealing means 16 rests circumferentially on the connecting piece 51 and thereby seals the connection point between the receiving device and the drainage device.
[0031] The upper side 12 of the adapter device 10 is adapted to receive a sealing means 18 (not shown in the figure) for sealing the underside 11. Specifically, a receiving surface 27 for receiving the sealing means 18 is formed on the upper side 12 and encloses the receiving device 15. The receiving surface 27 is substantially flat and free of built-in components and / or sharp edges.
[0032] Specifically, the receiving surface 27 is essentially flat when viewed macroscopically, while when viewed microscopically, it has concentric embossings that essentially form a negative image of the embossings on the support surface. The receiving surface 27 can also be flat when viewed microscopically, i.e., without embossings.
[0033] The adapter device 10 has a fastening means 17 designed to fasten the sealing means 18 to the upper side 12 in a force-locking and / or positive-locking manner. The fastening means 17 includes a contact pressure means 24 designed to cooperate with the receiving surface 27 in a force-transmitting manner. The fastening means 17 can be designed differently.
[0034] In the assembled state, the sealing means 18 is arranged between the pressing means 24 and the receiving surface 27, so that it is pressed against the receiving surface 27 by the pressing means 24. In this way, the sealing means 18 is attached to the upper side 12.
[0035] The pressing means 24 comprises a pressing flange or loose flange with a pressing surface that, when mounted, presses against the receiving surface 27. The pressing surface is essentially circular and flat. Specifically, the pressing surface is essentially flat when viewed macroscopically, but when viewed microscopically, it has concentric embossments that are adapted to the receiving surface 27. The pressing means 24 can be designed differently, for example, as multiple pressing plates.
[0036] The clamping means 24 comprises several, specifically eight, screw nuts designed to interact in a force-fitting and / or form-fitting manner with screw bolts connected to the receiving surface 27 and arranged protruding from the receiving surface 27. The screw nuts are each covered by a cover cap.
[0037] The upper side 12 of the adapter device 10 has a connecting surface 25 designed for a materially bonded connection with the sealing means 18. Specifically, the connecting surface 25 is formed at least in sections by the receiving surface 27. The connecting surface 25 therefore has the same features as the previously described receiving surface 27.
[0038] In the assembled state, the sealing means 18 is materially bonded, for example by an adhesive, to the connecting surface 25 and thereby fastened to the upper side 12.
[0039] The adapter device 10 comprises a trap 19, specifically a siphon, in particular a bottle siphon. The trap 19 has a trap nozzle 21 that extends from above into a trap housing 22.
[0040] The odor trap 19 is arranged at least partially in the drainage device 13. Specifically, the odor trap 19 is arranged entirely below the receiving device 15 or support surface 14, so that it protrudes partially from the drainage device 13 and into the drainage pipe. The odor trap 19 is secured to the inner circumference of the drainage device 13 by a sealing ring.
[0041] Since the drainage device 13 is inserted into the pipe end 40 in the assembled state, the odor trap 19 is arranged at least partially in the drainage pipe 41. Specifically, the odor trap 19 is completely submerged in the drainage pipe 41.
[0042] The receiving device 15 has, on a side opposite the drainage device 13, a circumferential ring which is designed to serve as a guardrail when the drainage device 50 is inserted into the receiving device 15 in order to facilitate assembly.
[0043] A sealing ring 30 is provided between the drain device 13 and the drainage pipe 41. The sealing ring 30 is arranged in a groove formed on the inside of the drainage pipe 41. The groove has the geometry of a bead.
[0044] Fig. 2 shows a perspective view of the adapter device 10 from Fig. 1, wherein the sealing means 16 is not shown and the fastening means 17 has other cover caps.
[0045] In Fig. 2, the geometry of the adapter device 10 becomes particularly clear. The adapter device 10 accordingly comprises, in addition to the drainage device 13 and the receiving device 15, a flange, specifically a fixed flange. The nozzle-shaped drainage device 13 is formed on one side of the flange and the sleeve-shaped receiving device 15 on the other side of the flange, wherein the drainage device 13, the flange and the receiving device 15 are arranged concentrically to one another. The support surface 14 is formed on the underside 11 of the flange and the receiving surface 27 is formed on the top side of the flange. The flange is flat. The flange therefore has a height that is many times less than the extension of the flange in the transverse direction, i.e. transverse to the height direction.
[0046] Fig. 3 and Fig. 4 each show a perspective exploded view of the adapter device 10 from Fig. 1 and a drainage device 50. The drainage device 50 has a connecting piece 51 which is designed to be inserted or inserted into the receiving device 15 for connection to the adapter device 10. The Fig. The drainage device 50 shown in Figure 3 comprises a drainage channel. Other drainage devices 50 are possible.
[0047] Fig. Figure 5 shows a cross section through an adapter device 10 according to a further embodiment of the invention. The adapter device 10 shown differs from the adapter device 10 of Fig. 1 in that the upper side 12 is not adapted to receive a sealing means 18 for sealing the underside 11. Thus, the adapter device 10 also has no receiving surface 27 on the upper side 12, no fastening means 17, and no connecting surface 25. Otherwise, the adapter device 10 shown essentially has the features of the adapter device 10 from Fig. 1 on.
[0048] Fig. 6 shows a cross section through the adapter device 10 from Fig. 1.
[0049] Fig. Fig. 7 shows a cross section through an adapter device 10 according to a further embodiment of the invention, which extends from the adapter device 10 Fig. 1 in that the adapter device 10 has no fastening means 17. Otherwise, the adapter device 10 shown essentially has the features of the adapter device 10 from Fig. 1 on.
[0050] Fig. 8 shows a cross section through the adapter device 10 from Fig. 7 with a sealing means 18. The sealing means 18 is arranged on the upper side 12 or receiving surface 27 and is integrally bonded, specifically glued, to the connecting surface 25. The sealing means 18 extends from the drainage device 13 essentially over the entire receiving surface 27 radially outward beyond the outer edge 29, so that the underside 11 is sealed, for example, against a liquid seeping through from above. The sealing means 18 is designed as a sealing membrane. Other sealing means 18.
[0051] The sealing means 18 is preferably attached to the adapter device 10 at the factory and is delivered and installed with the adapter device 10 in the attached state. This can further reduce the assembly effort.
[0052] Fig. 9 shows a perspective exploded view of the adapter device from Fig. 2.
[0053] Fig. Figure 10 shows a cross section through an adapter device 10 according to a further embodiment of the invention. The adapter device 10 shown differs from the adapter device 10 of Fig. 1 in that it has at least one drainage opening 20 for secondary drainage.
