Abstract
Description
[0001] A state-of-the-art tool stand (WB) is to be equipped with a forward-extending extension (V). The following parts are considered state-of-the-art: Support (A), a base frame consisting of four legs connected by a cross brace. The folding support (KA) refers to a tool stand with a folding support (Utility Model No. 20 2022 002480, German Patent and Trademark Office Munich, dated December 16, 2022).
[0002] On Fig. 1 (side view) shows the dashed, partly hatched extension (V) including the movement mechanism (S) which represents the new feature compared to the state of the art. The pin (Z) is ideally located on the workpiece (V), the receiver (AN) on one or more supports (A). The extension (V) can be attached to one of the two support surfaces (A), ideally on the support surface opposite the support surface with folding support (KA), so that the available working / support surface is increased ( Fig. 2), see also AZ: 20 2022 0002 480.0.
[0003] The extension (V) can alternatively be attached using a rail (AN or Z) Fig. 3 (top view). The extension (V) is used as a rail in Fig. 5 shown in a detailed view: The support surface (WB) is provided with a protruding device (rail or pin) in contrast to the corresponding matching counterpart (rail or pin).
[0004] The position of the attachment, preferably on the opposite support surface to the folding support (KA), is irrelevant. It is also irrelevant whether the folding support (KA) is used as an additional, third support (A or L4 / R4) as in Fig. 7 or is integrated into at least one of the requirements (A) ( Fig. 8). In the normal state, the extension is flush with one of the support surfaces (A), see Fig. 3. The extension (V) can be pushed out ( Fig. 4) - Top view. Instead of a sliding extension (V), the extension (V) can also be attached as a plug-in connection, e.g., using a rail (AN) and a pin (Z) ( Fig. 5, Fig. 6). In addition, the extension can be incorporated into at least one of the supports (A or L4 / R4). Fig. 7 shows the tool stand (WB) with an extension (V) and a folding support (KA).
[0005] A useful option is the possibility of an extendable support surface (V). If an extendable support surface is not required due to the nature of a workpiece, the extension (V) is limited to its minimum size. In the opposite case, by sliding it out ( Fig. 3, Fig. 4) or attach ( Fig. 5, Fig. 6) the support surface can be optimally adjusted using the extension (V). A plug connection ( Fig. 6) - Top view. This variation can be used, for example, to improve work safety when trimming or machining the workpiece by preventing it from falling, causing instability, or damaging the workpiece.
[0006] With regard to optimising the support surface, it would also be conceivable to attach an additional or alternative extension (V) on the horizontally mirrored side. By attaching a stable extension (V), an optimized support surface (A) is achieved without any time expenditure. In addition to the stability mentioned, the extension (V) could overcome a "dead area" if a second tool stand at an angle of 90° is to be used to optimize the work surface. The dead area arises when two tool stands are placed opposite each other at a right angle or almost at a right angle because the dimensions of the spread-out base of the tool stands do not allow for seamless arranging. Due to this circumstance, smaller workpieces cannot be stabilized for machining and therefore pose various risks.
[0007] Fig.Figure 8 (top view) shows an alternative design of the support (A), in which one of the supports (A) of the tool stand (WB) is designed as a folding support (KA). This folding support (KA) can be attached to the support (A) by means of a hinge (SN) and thus folded out. This alternative design has the advantage that the tool stand (WB) only requires two supports. Furthermore, it saves material and weight without compromising the stability of the tool stand (WB). Other beneficial properties
[0008] Combined with the folding support (KA), it eliminates the need for a second workbench, especially when working on small workpieces (screwdriving, drilling, sawing). Costs and storage space are minimized for DIY enthusiasts.
[0009] But even for smaller jobs, there is no longer any need for an additional workbench (WB) or for the laborious and time-consuming trial and error of determining whether the gap (dead area) in the support surface (A) described above that cannot be closed can somehow be overcome. There is no longer any need to involve another person for the duration of the workpiece processing, for example to compensate for the lack of stability, to prevent the workpiece from falling, or even to enable the workpiece to be processed at all. Particularly when a workpiece or waste piece falls, damage to the workpiece is often unavoidable in the last centimeter because the weight of the falling workpiece "tears up" the remaining piece. In contrast, the tool stand (WB) according to the invention ensures the immediate availability of stable support.
[0010] A tool stand (WB) with an extension (V) and / or folding support (KA) primarily increases workplace safety. The risk of injury due to unstable support of the workpiece on at least one support (A) is eliminated. Slipping and resulting injury due to the workpiece tipping, breaking off, or falling is also eliminated. Furthermore, the tool stand (WB) allows for processing without damaging the workpiece that is still to be used.
[0011] Time-saving aspects, reducing inconvenience, and unsuccessful searches for auxiliary materials (e.g., boards that serve as supports for two tool stands (WB)) are eliminated. When the folding support (KA) and / or in conjunction with the extension (V) are used simultaneously, the workpiece remains securely on the support surface (A) and thus protects against injuries during processing. The secure support also reduces potential waste.
[0012] The material of the tool stand (WB) or the extensions (V) is irrelevant. It can be wood, metal, and / or plastic, for example. legend A support extension (identical to L 4 or R 4), independent of the side view left / right AN transducer KA folding support L Left L 1 / L 3 feet left L 4 / R 4 supports right / left (identical to 'A') L2 / R 2 cross struts right / left M Middle R Right R 1 / R 3 feet right S Rail / movement mechanism (receiver / pin) SN hinge V Extension (extendable) WB tool stand or components thereof Z pin / rail
