Description

Technical field to which the invention relates

[0001] The invention "Lock with Security Function" is an invention in the field of fixed structures in the class of locks, keys, window and door fittings, and safes in the group of locks whose locking elements are used for locking into the base of assemblies whose handles are disengaged. In particular, it is a group of locks with special design features in which the handles on opposite sides move independently of each other. Technical problem solved by the invention

[0002] The invention of a "lock with a security function" solves the problem of additionally locking the lock with a key to achieve greater privacy or security in the locked area. If the door is not intended to be opened from the outside, simply closing the door will determine that the door is closed, preventing the use of the external handle. The external handle operates without interfering with the mechanism—in an idle mode. State of the art to which the invention relates

[0003] Locks are encountered in everyday life and are among the most widely used and widespread mechanisms. Their manufacture and construction are generally standardized, and their development has included adding levels of complexity to keys to provide additional security against tampering, connecting them to various electromechanical devices built into the interior of doors to facilitate use and enable remote control by "smart" devices, and eliminating keys as an integral part of the lock and replacing them with cards and similar contactless devices. The inventor is not aware of any such mechanism, which, simply using one of the handles, makes it impossible to use the external handle when the door is closed. Description of the invention

[0004] Essentially, the invention describes a mechanism that mechanically prevents the operation of the outer handle to increase security in a particular room. The lock prevents the use of the outer handle (it is in idle mode) when the door is closed by using (turning) the handles. If the door is closed without using (turning) the handles (e.g., just by pushing), the outer handle is operative and can be used normally to open the lock. In both cases, the inner handle is always operative and operates in normal mode. Short description of the pictures Fig. 1 shows the exploded view of the lock mechanism, comprising: 1 edge plate; 2 housings; 3 housing covers; 4 outer partial handle; 5 rings; 6 washer; 7 inner partial handle; 8 riser rod assembly; 9 seesaw; 10 push rod; 11 riser bar arm; 12 Locking bolt assembly; 13 Door latch assembly; 14 handle adapters. Fig. Figure 2 shows views of both sides of the housing (without handle adapter (14)), which contains the complete mechanism and fits into an existing door with standard dimensions. The number (15) indicates the optical signal on the button that indicates whether the mechanism is active, while the number (16) indicates the open slots on the housing (2) and the housing cover (3). Fig. 3.1 and Fig. 3.2 show the two characteristic positions of the mechanism when the push rod (10) is outside the edge plate (1) and the provided handle is rotated around the opening axis. Fig. 3.1 shows the view of the mechanism from the inner handle, while Fig. 3.2 shows the view of the mechanism from the outer handle. The Fig. 4.1 and 4.2 show the two characteristic positions of the mechanism when the push rod (10) is pushed into the edge plate (1) and the rotary knob provided for this purpose is turned around the opening axis. Fig. 4.1 shows the view of the mechanism from the inner handle, while Fig. 4.2 shows the view of the mechanism from the outer handle in this characteristic case. Description of the technical solution

[0005] The "lock with security function" according to the invention is intended for use in conditions requiring greater security for a specific space, as it can be mounted on a door instead of a conventional mechanism, thanks to its standard installation dimensions. The door on which the lock is mounted divides the area into an exterior and an interior space. The supporting structure of the mechanism consists of a housing (2) in which all functional parts are housed and to which the housing cover (3) and the edge plate (1) are attached. The rotational movement of the outer or inner handles is transmitted to the mechanism by means of suitable adapters (14) to which standard handles can be attached. The movement (rotation) of the handles is transmitted to the adapters (14) and from there to the outer or inner partial handle (4, 7). The outer and inner partial handles (4, 7) are not connected to each other, and their rotations are independent of each other. They rotate around a central ring (5) and are spaced apart by a thick washer (6). The full functionality of the mechanism can be perceived by two basic positions of its characteristic part – the push rod (10). The first position is the one in which the push rod (10) is outside the edge plate (1), which corresponds to the situation when the door is open and in the . Fig. 3.1 and 3.2. The second position, in which the push rod (10) is pushed into the inside of the edge plate (1), corresponds to the situation in which the door is closed and is shown in the Fig. 4.1 and 4.2.

[0006] In the first position, the two characteristic views of the mechanism are shown without the case (2) and case cover (3) in order to increase the visibility of the individual parts and their interaction. Fig. Figure 3.1 shows the condition of the mechanism (with the push rod extended) when force acts only on the inner handle, which is connected to the inner partial handle by a suitable adapter (14); the inner partial handle (7) then rotates clockwise around the ring (5) and, with its shape, causes the riser rod assembly (8) together with the rocker (9), which is part of the riser rod assembly, to be raised vertically, and at the same time acts horizontally on the locking bolt assembly (12), which is drawn inwards into the rim plate (1) by the action of the inner partial handle (7). As a result, the inner handle acts systematically on the locking bolt assembly (12), opening it. Fig. Figure 3.2 shows the condition of the mechanism with the push rod (10) protruding from the rim plate (1). When force acts only on the outer partial handle, which is connected to the outer partial handle by a suitable adapter (14), the outer partial handle (4) then rotates counterclockwise around the ring (5) and, with its shape, causes a horizontal thrust on the riser rod arm (11), which is connected to the locking bolt assembly (12) via a small shaft. This thrust is transmitted to the locking bolt assembly, thereby drawing the locking bolt assembly inwards into the rim plate (1). At this time, the outer handle systematically acts on the lock and opens it.

[0007] In the second position, the two characteristic views of the mechanism are shown without the case (2) and case cover (3) in order to increase the visibility of the individual parts and their interaction. Fig. Figure 4.1 shows the condition of the mechanism (with the push rod pressed in) when force acts only on the inner handle. The push rod itself, with its inclined section, acts horizontally on the rocker (9), which is part of the riser rod assembly (8), and moves the riser rod assembly vertically upwards. By acting on the inner handle, which is connected to the inner partial handle by a suitable adapter (14), the inner partial handle (7) rotates clockwise around the ring (5) and draws it, with its shape acting horizontally on the locking bolt assembly (12), into the interior of the rim plate (1). During this process, the inner handle acts as planned and opens the latter. Fig.Figure 4.2 shows the mechanism's state with the push rod (10) depressed, when force acts only on the outer handle. The push rod itself, with its inclined section, acts horizontally on the rocker (9), which is part of the riser rod assembly (8), and moves the riser rod assembly vertically upward. The upward movement of the riser rod assembly rotates the riser rod arm (11), which is connected to the locking bolt assembly (12) via a small shaft, causing it to rotate upwards by a certain angle counterclockwise. By acting on the outer handle, which is connected to the outer partial handle via a suitable adapter (14), the outer partial handle (4) rotates counterclockwise around the ring (5) and since the riser bar arm (11) is now raised, there is no web against which the outer partial handle presses and transmits the movement, so that the rotation of the outer handle has no effect on the locking bolt assembly, ieThis enters an idle mode. This way, the locking bolt assembly remains virtually locked despite the rotation of the outer handle.

[0008] The complete mechanism contains all the necessary springs with sufficient elasticity to return the components to their original position while maintaining functionality similar to standard locking mechanisms. If additional security is required, the lock can be locked via the door bolt assembly (13) in the usual way using a two-stage cylinder. The door bolt assembly, with its long lever, can act directly on the locking bolt assembly (12), allowing the locking bolt assembly to be unlocked with a key from the outside or inside, if necessary in certain cases. On the outside of the housing (2) and the housing cover (3) there are open slots (16) in which the riser rod assembly (8) moves vertically up or down, and at this point there is a mark (15) with an easily visible or self-reflective color marking, which serves as an indicator of whether the mechanism is active - if the mark is in the upper position, this means that the mechanism is active and the outer handle cannot be used, i.e. it will assume an idle mode without moving the locking bolt assembly (12). If the mark is in the lower position, this means that the mechanism is not active and the outer knob operates with normal function, i.e. it moves the locking bolt assembly (12).

[0009] Due to the specific functionality of the automatic locking, the lock can be installed in places that require special security or type of use, such as toilets, nursing homes, hospitals, laboratories and rooms with controlled access.
