[0026] The applicant notes that minimally invasive technology based on electronic endoscopes is widely used clinically in several departments, such as pulmonology, gastroenterology, urology, and otorhinolaryngology, among others. Endotracheal intubation is performed in respiratory intensive care units under visual monitoring to guide the tube to the appropriate location. During surgery, oxygen ventilation may be required, which requires a certain degree of tightness between the bronchoscope catheter and the tracheal tube connector to prevent gas leakage. At the same time, the tracheal tube should follow the movement of the bronchoscope during surgery and advance under visual control throughout the procedure to avoid damage to the airway.
[0027] In the current art, a soft cone element is placed over a catheter to form a press-fit connection with the tracheal tube. However, its adaptability to tracheal tubes of different sizes is comparatively poor. If the soft cone element is inserted too tightly into the tracheal tube, the tracheal tube is easily pulled and dislodged during withdrawal of the tracheal catheter, resulting in airway damage. If the soft cone element is inserted too loosely into the tracheal tube, this can easily lead to a poor seal and air leakage during oxygen delivery through the tracheal tube.
[0028] In view of this, an embodiment of this disclosure, with reference to Fig. 1 to 7, a sealing element for endoscopic intubation is provided to solve at least one of the above technical problems. Example 1:
[0029] Referring to Fig. 1 to 3, the sealing element for endoscopic intubation serves to sealably connect the catheter 5 of a bronchoscope to a tracheal tube 6, and comprises a main body section 1, a sealing section 2, and a friction section 3. The main body section 1 has an axis 10 and serves to connect to the catheter 5, wherein at least a part of the main body section 1 is configured such that it can be inserted into a tracheal tube 6, and a gap 12 is present between the main body section 1 and the inner wall of the tracheal tube 6; the sealing section 2 is arranged annularly around the main body section 1 and is configured to block the gap 12; and the friction section 3 is arranged on the main body section 1, and at least a part of the friction section is configured such that it can bear against the inner wall of the tracheal tube 6.
[0030] It should be explained that the main body portion 1 in this embodiment is provided with a through-hole 11 along the axis 10 so that it can be easily attached to the catheter 5. Corresponding to the shape of the inner wall of the tracheal tube 6, an annular structure enclosing the main body portion 1 around the axis 10 is used for the sealing portion 2 in this embodiment. The main body portion 1 and the sealing portion 2 establish a sealed connection between the catheter 5 and the tracheal tube 6, thereby preventing leakage during oxygen supply through the tracheal tube 6. At the same time, the friction portion 3 abuts the tracheal tube 6 in the gap 12 to form a certain friction force, thus maintaining synchronous mobility between the catheter 5 and the tracheal tube 6.
[0031] Referring to Fig. 1 to 3, in some embodiments, the friction portion 3 is specifically configured to generate elastic deformation upon insertion of the main body portion 1 into the tracheal tube 6 to abut against the inner wall of the tracheal tube 6. Thus, in this embodiment, an elastic material is used for the friction portion 3; during insertion of the main body portion 1 into the tracheal tube 6, the inner wall of the tracheal tube 6 urges the friction portion 3 relative to the main body portion 1, so that an interference fit is formed between the friction portion 3 and the tracheal tube 6, and the possibility of the tracheal tube 6 being loosened upon moving the catheter 5 is thus reduced.
[0032] In order to further improve the synchronous mobility between the tracheal tube 6 and the catheter 5, with reference to Fig. 1 to 3, in this embodiment, a plurality of friction sections 3 are provided. The plurality of friction sections 3 are arranged spaced apart in the circumferential direction around the axis 10, and adjacent friction sections 3 are evenly spaced. Furthermore, the friction section 3 extends spirally around the axis 10.
[0033] It can be understood that in this embodiment, the plurality of friction portions 3 are formed in a toothed plate shape and distributed on the surface of the main body portion 1 to enable uniform contact with the tracheal tube 6 during the insertion process of the main body portion 1 into the tracheal tube 6 and to improve the stability of the connection with the tracheal tube 6, while an elastic and plate-shaped friction portion 3, compared to a solid cone, can better adapt to tracheal tubes 6 of different tube diameters, thereby increasing the compatibility of a sealing fit.
[0034] Referring to Fig. 1 to 3, the main body portion 1 in some embodiments has a distal end 13 and a proximal end 14 in the direction of extension of the axis 10; and it can be understood that in this embodiment with Fig. 1 as an example, the above-mentioned distal end 13 refers to an end facing away from the hand-held operating handle 4, while the proximal end 14 refers to an end facing the hand-held operating handle 4.
[0035] Referring to Fig. 1 to 3, the sealing portion 2 has a first guide surface 20, which is arranged facing the distal end 13 and serves to guide the sealing portion 2 into the gap 12. Thus, in this embodiment, the first guide surface 20 is formed as a curved surface, and when the sealing portion 2 engages the tracheal tube 6, the sealing portion 2 can be guided in alignment with the tracheal tube 6, and the resistance during the insertion process can be reduced.
[0036] Likewise, the friction section 3, referring to Fig. 3, a second guide surface 31, which is arranged facing the distal end 13 and serves to guide the friction section 3 into engagement with the gap 12. Thus, in this embodiment, the second guide surface 31 is also designed as a curved surface, and when the friction section 3 engages the tracheal tube 6, the friction section 3 can be guided in alignment with the tracheal tube 6, and the resistance during the insertion process can be reduced.
[0037] It is to be explained that in this embodiment, the main body portion 1, the sealing portion 2, and the friction portion 3 are integrally formed, that is, the main body portion 1, the sealing portion 2, and the friction portion 3 are all integrally formed of an elastic material such as elastic silica gel.
[0038] In addition, the friction section 3 is connected to the sealing section 2, referring to Fig. 1 and Fig. 3 to increase the stability of the entire structure consisting of the sealing portion 2 and the plurality of friction portions 3, and in this embodiment, the individual friction portions 3 are arranged as a whole on the side of the sealing portion 2 facing the distal end 13. With the above-described design, when inserting the main body portion 1 into the tracheal tube 6, a stable friction force is generated in advance by the friction portion 3 and the tracheal tube 6, and ultimately, the gap 12 is blocked by the sealing portion 2 to form a stable connection.
[0039] An embodiment of this disclosure further discloses an endoscope comprising a sealing element for endoscopic intubation described above, and it can be understood that this endoscope can have all the technical features and corresponding advantageous effects of the sealing element for endoscopic intubation described above, which need not be described repeatedly here.
[0040] Referring to Fig. 1 to 3, in some embodiments the endoscope further comprises an operating handle 4 and a catheter 5 connected to the operating handle 4, wherein the sealing element for endoscopic intubation is attached to the catheter 5, and the sealing element for endoscopic intubation is firmly connected to the operating handle 4.
[0041] It should be explained that in this embodiment, the operating handle 4 and the catheter 5 are in a sealing fit with the tracheal tube 6 by means of the elastic sealing element for endoscopic intubation, which helps to enable a dampened transition from the side of the hard operating handle 4 to the soft catheter 5 or tracheal tube 6, and also helps to reduce the problem that when the tracheal tube 6 is bent sharply, the connection point between the catheter 5 and the tracheal tube 6 folds. Example 2:
[0042] Referring to Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, this embodiment differs from Embodiment 1 in that the friction portion 3 is formed as a straight tooth plate structure parallel to the extending direction of the axis 10, the sealing portion 2 is arranged in the center of the friction portion 3 in its own extending direction, and the friction portion 3 passes through the sealing portion 2.
[0043] It should be explained that with reference to Fig. 4, the friction portion 3 has a first surface 30 facing away from the main body portion 1, and from the distal end 13 to the proximal end 14, the vertical distance between at least a part of the first surface 30 and the axis 10 gradually increases. In this embodiment, a gradual increase in a vertical distance between the entire first surface 30 and the axis 10 is taken as an example, the individual friction portions 3 are uniformly arranged around the axis 10 in the circumferential direction, and an outer contour formed by the individual first surfaces 30 around the axis 10 is practically a truncated cone structure. That is, with gradual insertion of the main body portion 1 into the tracheal tube 6, the force of the tracheal tube 6 squeezing the friction portion 3 gradually increases. At the same time, the vertical distance between the first surface 30 of the part of the friction portion 3 facing the distal end 13 and the axis 10 can be set smaller than or equal to the inner diameter of the tracheal tube 6, at this time, it is less difficult for the friction portion 3 to engage with the tracheal tube 6, and the first surface 30 on the side close to the proximal end 14 can also ensure that a sufficient friction force is formed between the friction portion 3 and the tracheal tube 6.
[0044] Referring to Fig. 3 and Fig. 4, the following methods can be adopted in the setting described above: First, the maximum size of the main body portion 1 increases gradually in a direction perpendicular to the axis 10 from the distal end 13 to the proximal end 14, that is, the main body portion 1 is formed as a structure similar to a truncated cone, and the size of an outer circle of the section perpendicular to the axis 10 of the part of the main body portion 1 close to the distal end 13 is set to be smaller than the size of an outer circle of the section perpendicular to the axis 10 of the part of the main body portion 1 close to the proximal end 14.On this basis, when arranging the friction portion on the main body portion 1, the inclined outer surface of the main body portion 1 should be aligned in the extending direction of the axis 10 if, in some embodiments, the heights of the friction portions 3 are uniform, namely, the distance between the first surface 30 and the outer surface of the main body portion 1 remains the same from the distal end 13 to the proximal end 14. Furthermore, the above requirement should also be met if the distance between the first surface 30 and the outer surface of the main body portion 1 gradually increases from the distal end 13 to the proximal end 14.
[0045] Second, the distance between the first surface 30 and the outer surface of the main body portion 1 increases gradually from the distal end 13 to the proximal end 14, i.e., the friction portion 3 is formed as a toothed plate structure whose width gradually changes in the direction perpendicular to the axis 10. If, in some embodiments, the main body portion 1 has, for example, a structure in the shape of a right cylinder, namely the maximum size of the main body portion 1 remains the same in the direction perpendicular to the axis 10 from the distal end 13 to the proximal end 14, it can also be achieved that the outer contour formed by individual first surfaces 30 around the axis 10 is a truncated cone structure.
[0046] The above-described design facilitates smooth and aligned insertion when inserting the main body portion 1 and the friction portion 3 into the tracheal tube 6, and can flexibly adapt to tracheal tubes 6 with more diameter specifications. That is, the size to be inserted into the tracheal tube 6 can be increased or decreased as needed to form an appropriate friction force. In this embodiment, the two methods described above are adopted simultaneously, while in another embodiment, either of them may be selected. Example 3:
[0047] Referring to Fig. 6 and Fig.7, this embodiment differs from Embodiment 1 in that, although the friction portion 3 is assumed to extend spirally around the axis 10, the sealing portion 2 is disposed at the center of the friction portion 3 in its own extending direction, and the friction portion 3 passes through the sealing portion 2. Here, the following explanation should be made: in the above-described setting, another reason for disposing at least a part of the friction portion 3 on the side of the sealing portion 2 close to the distal end 13 is to reduce the resistance during the initial phase of inserting the main body portion 1 and the friction portion 3 into the tracheal tube 6.The vertical distance between the first surface 30 of the part of the friction portion 3 located near the distal end 13 and the axis 10 is smaller than that of the part located near the proximal end 14, and the sealing portion 2 must adapt to the gradually changing size of the friction portion 3, that is, the sealing portion 2 is arranged such that its size is the same as the size of the friction portion 3 at the position where the sealing portion is located. If the sealing portion 2 is arranged too close to the distal end 13, the size of the friction portion 3 will result in a smaller extruded deformation upon insertion into the tracheal tube 6, and therefore, it is also difficult to achieve a good sealing effect by the sealing portion 2.For this reason, the sealing portion 2 is arranged in the center of the friction portion 3 in the extending direction of the axis 10 or on the side remote from the distal end 13.
[0048] Furthermore, in another embodiment, a plurality of sealing sections 2 may be provided (not shown in the figures), and the plurality of sealing sections 2 are arranged along the extension direction of the axis 10. The sealing section 2 also has the function of forming friction with the tracheal tube 6; and by increasing the number of sealing sections 2, on the one hand, the tightness of the connection between the catheter 5 and the tracheal tube 6 can be improved, namely a multiple sealing effect, and on the other hand, the stability of the connection between the catheter 5 and the tracheal tube 6 can also be improved, namely, by further increasing the frictional contact area.
[0049] Above, the sealing member for endoscopic intubation and the endoscope provided in the embodiments of this disclosure are presented in detail, and specific examples are applied to explain the principle and embodiments of this disclosure. The illustration of the above embodiments is only intended to assist in understanding the technical solutions of this disclosure and the core concept thereof. Those skilled in the art should understand that the technical solutions recorded in the foregoing respective embodiments may still be modified, or partial technical features may be equivalently substituted therein, while these modifications or substitutions do not cause the essence of the respective technical solutions to deviate from the scope of the technical solutions of the respective embodiments of this disclosure.
