Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a trampoline or standing board with a flexible mat and with an edge-side cover collar.
[0002] Trampolines of this type are well-known from the current state of the art. The problem with most trampolines is that children, as the vast majority of users, get caught between individual segments of the suspension at the edge of the trampoline and can injure themselves there.
[0003] Balance boards promote balance, strengthen various muscle groups, and encourage all the positive aspects of standing. However, they typically feature a rigid standing surface and a disadvantageous mounting system. Because of the rigid platform (board) on which two feet are positioned, independent foot movements are not possible. Furthermore, these boards are mounted on a movable roller or even a ball bearing. This necessitates a high degree of concentration and balance, making these boards suitable almost exclusively for athletic purposes. A novel, improved standing board with a flexible mat and a frame is described in more detail in DE 20 2024 00 04 67 U1.
[0004] Currently, the standard solution for trampolines is to position a cover as a collar over the suspension. Since the suspension elements expand radially during jumping, the cover material can only be attached radially on one side to the jumping mat or the metal frame of the trampoline.
[0005] A corresponding edge cover is described, among other places, in DE 20 2007 000 403 U1. When jumping, it sometimes happens that the cover, which is fixed on one side, folds over, thereby exposing the suspension. Since children do not always consistently interrupt their jumping to reposition the cover correctly, this also creates a risk of injury.
[0006] Based on this fundamental consideration, the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a trampoline or a standing board with an improved suspension cover.
[0007] The present invention solves this problem by providing a trampoline with the features of claim 1.
[0008] A device of this type, particularly in the form of a standing board and / or trampoline, comprises a metal frame with legs and an annular profile for framing a standing surface. This surface is provided by a flexible mat, which is attached to the annular profile by a suspension. Furthermore, the device has an annular cover collar that projects beyond the edge of the mat, particularly around its circumference, and is attached to the mat. The cover collar is fixed to the suspension by a retainer.
[0009] The cover collar can be advantageously designed as a one-sided support on the suspension, unlike so-called tension covers.
[0010] By fixing the hold-down clamp, the cover collar is prevented from folding over when the individual suspension elements of the suspension are stretched, thus preventing unintentional access to the suspension. This reduces the risk of accidents.
[0011] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0012] The hold-down device can advantageously be designed as an elastic rope or elastic band, which is fixed to the deck collar in certain areas and preferably detachably.
[0013] Furthermore, the cover collar can have at least one retaining element, preferably several retaining elements, in a fixation area where the hold-down device is fixed, for fixing, preferably releasably, the hold-down device to the cover collar. The releasability can be achieved, for example, by a rope connector, in particular a metallic rope connector, for receiving and releasably fixing two ends of the elastic band or elastic rope.
[0014] The retaining means can advantageously be designed as hooks, which are preferably arranged equidistantly along an underside of the cover collar.
[0015] The hold-down device can essentially consist of an elastomer and / or a thermoplastic elastomer. It can, for example, be a fully circumferential elastic ring cable or an elastic cable with end closures. These closures do not necessarily have to be made of an elastic material.
[0016] Between the fixing areas, unconnected sections can be arranged between the hold-down clamp and the cover collar, with suspension elements of the suspension being arranged in these unconnected sections between the hold-down clamp and the cover collar. If the suspension elements are designed as rope rings, the hold-down clamp can be threaded through the rope rings so that at least part of the respective rope ring is arranged between the hold-down clamp and the cover collar.
[0017] The retaining elements can be bonded to the cover collar for a secure hold, preferably by gluing or welding.
[0018] Furthermore, the cover collar can have a visible surface and, perpendicular to it, a material thickness, which is greater, preferably at least twice as thick, as the mat. This provides additional cushioning when the cover is dropped onto the suspension.
[0019] Advantageously, the hold-down device can be designed as a closed rope ring.
[0020] Furthermore, the mat with the ring-shaped profile can be fixed by one or more elastic ropes, preferably by one or more rubber ropes.
[0021] It is particularly advantageous if the unconnected sections extend over more than 80%, preferably more than 90%, of the hold-down length. This results in a particularly high degree of flexibility in the hold-down function.
[0022] The invention will now be explained in more detail using an exemplary embodiment and the accompanying figure. It shows: Fig. 1 Top view of an embodiment of a standing board according to the invention and Fig. 2. Bottom view of the standing board of the Fig. 1.
[0023] Fig. 1 and Fig. Figure 2 shows a standing board 1 and a preferably central mat 2 made of a flexible material, optionally a textile material or a plastic or elastomer material. The thickness of the mat can be less than 0.5 cm, preferably less than 0.2 cm.
[0024] Furthermore, the standing board has a metal frame 3 for supporting and spacing the jumping mat 2 from a surface 4 to which the mat 2 is fixed.
[0025] The mat 2 is fixed to the metal frame 3 by a suspension 5, which consists of a multitude of suspension elements 6.
[0026] The most common suspension elements for trampolines are coil springs. However, these are disadvantageous in this case because, when extended (i.e., in the expanded state), they can trap the retainers 7 between the coils, potentially damaging both the retainers themselves and the suspension system. Therefore, elastic bands or cables were used as suspension elements in this case. A preferred material for the bands and / or cables is an elastomer, particularly rubber, or a thermoplastic elastomer.
[0027] The metal frame 3 can have a ring-shaped profile 9, in particular a hollow profile. Feet 7 are arranged on the ring-shaped profile 9, which ensure a certain distance between the mat 2 and the surface 4.
[0028] Mat 2 has loops 8. Each loop 8 is formed by a strip of material whose ends are arranged layer by layer on top of each other and fixed to mat 3, e.g., welded or glued. A retaining bolt 10 is arranged in the arc of the loop. The suspension elements, in the form of elastic rings 12, are arranged around the annular profile. The elastic rings 12 are not round rings, but rather two ends are joined in a parallel orientation of the end sections, so that the rings 12 taper to a point on one side at the connection area 11.
[0029] The retaining bolts 10, arranged in the loop arc of loop 8, are located in this connection area.
[0030] The mat 2, which defines the standing surface of the standing board 1 and, via its surface normal, a central axis Z of the standing board, has an annular cover collar 13 at its edge, with a disk plane that, in the unloaded state of the mat 2, is arranged substantially parallel to the mat 2. The cover collar 13 is bonded to the mat 2 by sewing, welding, or gluing.
[0031] The cover collar 13 has a visible surface 14 and a material thickness perpendicular to it. This material thickness is greater, preferably at least twice as thick, as the mat 2. Since the cover collar 13 is unstressed radially to the central axis, the increased material thickness should advantageously reduce deflection of the cover collar under typical human weight loads of up to 50 kg, preferably up to 110 kg, and particularly preferably up to 150 kg. Nevertheless, some deformation of the cover collar under localized weight loads is desirable to dampen movement.
[0032] A plurality of retaining elements 15 for holding a hold-down device 16, preferably in the form of an elastic cord, are arranged on the underside of the cover collar. The hold-down device 16 is preferably made of an elastomer and / or a TPE, so that any deformations of the cover collar 13 can be advantageously accommodated by elastic deformations of the hold-down device 16.
[0033] Preferably, the hold-down device 16 is designed as a continuous, ring-shaped elastic cable. The retaining means 15 are preferably hooks with which the cable can be secured. The hooks can be made of plastic. Several cables can also be arranged, e.g., concentrically to one another, on the cover collar 13. Particularly preferable for ease of assembly is the hold-down device 16 or devices 16 radially circumferentially fixed to the cover collar 13 below it, preferably in sections, over a respective area of less than 1% of the total length of the hold-down device per fixing section. Preferably, less than 20%, preferably less than 10%, of the total length of the hold-down device 16 is comprised of the fixing sections on the retaining means 15 on the cover collar 13. The remaining part, i.e., more than 80%, preferably even more than 90%, of the length of the hold-down device 16 consists of unconnected sections 17 opposite the cover collar 13.
[0034] Preferably, the retainer 16 is detachably fixed to the cover collar 13 by means of the retaining means 15.
[0035] The hold-down device 16 is positioned such that the suspension elements 6 are arranged in the unconnected sections 17 between the hold-down device 16 and the mat 2. If the suspension elements 6 are stretched radially to the central axis Z, this stretching movement can occur unhindered by the hold-down device 16 fixing the cover collar 13. The fixing of the cover collar 13 is thus essentially mechanically decoupled from the stretching of the suspension 5.
[0036] Furthermore, the elongation of the suspension under a central weight load is not uniform, but rather, due to the oval shape of the standing platform 1, it is unevenly distributed across the suspension elements 6. Despite this uneven distribution, the hold-down clamp securely holds the cover collar 13 near the suspension. No folding over or partial lifting occurs.
[0037] The hold-down device used according to the invention can also be used on trampolines. Stretching and movement also occur here, although possibly to a different extent and with a more even distribution. The hold-down device also prevents the cover collar from folding over in this case.
[0038] In a variant not shown, the hold-down device 16 can be connected at both ends by a rope connector. The rope connector can have two cylindrical receiving areas which allow the ends of the hold-down device 16 to be fixed by means of screws.
