Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an awning which has a bearing axle rotatably mounted by means of a drive device between two mounting members which are laterally spaced apart from one another and are fixed to the subject, on which bearing axle the awning covering is wound, wherein the two mounting members are connected by means of connecting members to an awning front element which is oriented parallel to the bearing axle and to which the front edge of the awning covering is fastened, a side awning which can be varied in its longitudinal extent is provided on at least one side of the awning and is attached to an elongate flexible supporting element which is mechanically tensioned by means of a tensioning device, the supporting element extending from a side member fixed to the subject to the corresponding lateral end section of the awning front element, the distal end edge of the side awning is assigned to the distal end of the support element and the proximal end edge of the side awning is assigned to the side organ fixed to the subject, the side organ fixed to the subject of the side awning has a deflection element, about which the elongate support element is deflected with its proximal end section, and a path reduction device is assigned to the proximal end section of the elongate support element.Such an awning is described in DE 20 2024 001 779 U1. In this known awning, the tensioning device for the elongated flexible support element can have a spring device which can be formed by a helical spring. However, a coil spring may have a low operational reliability. The tensioning device can therefore have a spring device with at least one helical spring instead of a helical spring. Still another possibility is to provide, instead of a spring means, a weight body attached to the travel reduction means. Although such a construction with a weight body can have the advantage of a comparatively high level of operational reliability, handling when required, i.e. during the assembly of the awning or during a repair thereof, can represent an undesirable workload. The object of the invention is to provide a awning of the type mentioned at the beginning which has optimum operating reliability with a simple construction. This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1, i.e. in that the deflecting element for the elongate flexible support element, the travel reduction device and the spring device are arranged in the subject-fixed side member, that the proximal end of the elongate flexible support element is fastened to the travel reduction device, and that the spring device is fastened to the travel reduction device, wherein the spring device has at least one tension spring or at least one compression spring. It can be expedient if the spring device has more than one tension spring or more than one compression spring. The path reduction device can be designed as a pulley block with a stationary roller and a movable roller. In this case, the elongate flexible supporting element can be wound around the fixed and around the displaceably movable roller in one or more turns in order to realize a desired force-travel ratio of the travel reduction device. Another possibility is that the travel reduction device is designed as a gear drive with a small drive gearwheel and a large driven gearwheel in mesh therewith. By suitably dimensioning the small drive gearwheel and the large driven gearwheel, the respectively desired path reduction ratio can be realized. It can be expedient here if the drive gearwheel is combined with a small roller to which the flexible support element is fastened by its proximal end, and if the driven gearwheel is combined with a large roller to which the spring device is fastened. By appropriately dimensioning the small and large pulleys, it is also possible to realize the reduction ratio of the travel reduction device as desired.Further details, features and advantages will become apparent from the following description in conjunction with the accompanying drawings. The following are shown: FIG. 1 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment of the awning combined with a side awning, FIG. 2 shows a schematic representation of an embodiment of the spring device for the elongated flexible support element in the subject-fixed side organ for the side awning, FIG. 3 is a schematic illustration, in principle similar to FIG. 2, of another embodiment of the spring device for the elongate flexible supporting element in the subject-mounted side organ for the side awning, FIG. 4 shows a third embodiment of the spring device for the elongated flexible support element in the subject-fixed side organ for the side awning, FIG. 5 is a sectional view taken along the line V--V in FIG. 4; and FIG. 6 shows yet another embodiment of the spring device for the elongated flexible support element in the subject-fixed side organ for the side awning.FIG. 1 shows an embodiment of the awning 10 which has a rotatably mounted bearing axle 14 between two laterally spaced-apart mounting members 12 fixed to the subject. The bearing axle 14 is rotatable by means of a drive device 16, which is indicated by an arrow. The drive device 16 can be a manual or an electric motor drive device.Wound onto the bearing axle 14 is an awning covering 18. The two mounting members 12 are connected by means of connecting members 20 to an awning front element 22 oriented parallel to the bearing axis 14. The connecting elements 20 are toggle levers. The front edge 24 of the awning covering 18 is fastened to the awning front element. In order, for example, not only to shadow the floor surface under the stretched awning covering 18 but also to achieve a desired lateral shading, a lateral awning 26, whose longitudinal extension can be varied, is provided on at least one side of the awning 10, which is attached to an elongate flexible support element 28. The elongated flexible support member 28 may be a cable, a strap or the like. The elongated flexible support element 28 extends from a subject-fixed side member 30 to the corresponding lateral end portion 32 of the awning front element 22, and by means of a clamping device 34, which is provided in the subject-fixed side member 32 of the side awning 26 and which will be described in detail below in connection with Figs. 2 to 6, the elongated flexible support element 28 is mechanically tensioned in any position of deployment of the awning 10, so that an undesired sagging of the support element 28 and consequently of the side awning 26 attached thereto is avoided. The distal end edge of the side awning 26 is assigned to the distal end 38 of the elongate flexible support element 28, and the proximal end section of the support element 28 or the proximal end edge of the side awning 26 is assigned to the side organ 30 fixed to the subject.FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the lateral member 30 fixed to the subject, in which a clamping device 34 for the elongated flexible support element 28 is provided. The support element 28 is deflected around a deflection element which forms a stationary roller 54 of a pulley block 88. An adjustable roller 86 is combined with the stationary roller 54 to form the pulley block 88. Pulley block 88 forms a path reduction device 56 for the elongate flexible support element 26, and the movable roller 86 of pulley block 88 is connected to the spring device 52 by means of a connecting element 90.In the embodiment according to FIG. 2, the spring device 52 is formed by at least one tension spring 92. The tension spring 92 is fastened at its end remote from the pulley block 88 to a stationary base 91 of the side member 30 fixed to the subject.Pulley block 88 forms a path reduction device 56 for the elongate flexible support element 28.FIG. 3 illustrates, in a schematic illustration similar to FIG. 2, an embodiment of the side member 30 fixed to the subject, wherein the travel reduction device 56, which is designed as a pulley block 88, is connected to a spring device 52 which has at least one compression spring 96. In this embodiment, the movable roller 86 of the pulley block 88 is connected by means of a connecting element 90 to a guide member 94 which is guided in a linearly movable manner in the lateral member 30 fixed to the subject. The connecting element 90 extends through a stationary member 98 against which the at least one compression spring 96 is forced.Figure 4 shows an embodiment of the subject-fixed side member 30 which comprises for the elongate flexible support member 28 spring means 52, similar to the spring means according to the figure. The path reduction device 56 is, however, not formed by a pulley block but by a gear drive 100 which has a small drive gear 102 and a large driven gear 104 meshing therewith. As can also be seen from FIG. 5, the small drive gearwheel 102 is fixedly connected to the rotatable deflection roller 54. The driven gear 104 is rotatably mounted in the lateral member 30 fixed to the subject. The elongated flexible support element 28 has its proximal end pushed against the deflection roller 54. The large output gear 104 is fixedly connected to a large roller 106. On the large roller 106, the spring means 52 is connected at one end thereof. The second end of the spring device 52 remote therefrom is fastened to the base 91 of the side organ 30 fixed to the subject. In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the spring device 52 has at least one tension spring 92 and in the embodiment according to FIG. 6 at least one compression spring 96.The mode of operation of the embodiments according to FIGS. 4 and 6 corresponds to the mode of operation according to FIGS. 2 and 3, so that it is superfluous to describe all the details once again in detail in conjunction with FIGS. 4 and 6.Identical details are each denoted by the same reference numerals in all figures, so that it is unnecessary to describe all details in detail in conjunction with the figures.List of reference numbers:10 Awning (on 60) 12 mounting members (of 10) 14 bearing axle (between 12 and 12) 16 drive device (for 14) 18 awning covering (of 10) 20 connecting members (between 12 and 22) 22 awning front element (of 10) 24 front edge (of 18) 26 side awning (for 10) 28 elongated flexible support element (for 26) 30 side member (of 26 for 28) 32 lateral end section (of 22) 34 tensioning device (for 28) 38 distal end 40 proximal end section (of 28) 42 proximal end edge (of 26) 44 slats (of 26 for 28) 46 double arrow at 44) 48 pleated curtain (of 26 for 28) 52 spring device (for 28) 54 deflection element (for 28) 56 path reduction device (for 28) 58 weight body (for 28) 60 stationary subject (of 10) 86 adjustable roller (of 88) 88 pulley block (of 56) 90 connecting element (between 56 and 52 91 stationary bottom (for 92) 92 tension spring (of 52) 93 spring guide (for 92) 94 guide member (for 96) 96 compression spring (of 52) 98 stationary abutment member (for 96) 100 gear drive (of 56) 102 small gear (of 100) 104 large output gear (of 100) 106 large roller (of 104)References included in the specificationThis list of documents cited by the applicant has been produced in an automated manner and is only included for the better information of the reader.
