Description

[0001] Light-curing plastics, such as those used in 3D printing for dental technology, earmolds, etc., are cured using intense UV or blue light. To achieve a tack-free surface on the printed parts during polymerization, an inert protective gas can be introduced into the exposure chamber to displace the oxygen. In addition, the application of elevated temperatures has a positive effect on the mechanical and chemical properties of the cured printed parts.

[0002] Surprisingly, it has been shown that the temperature in the exposure chamber can be adjusted within a desired range by introducing heated gas.

[0003] Another advantageous feature of this invention is that the protective gas introduced to displace the oxygen can take over the heat transfer to increase the temperature in the exposure chamber.

Claims

[1] Device for photopolymerization of parts made of light-curing plastics, characterized by that tempered gas is introduced into the exposure chamber. [2] Device for photopolymerization of parts made of light-curing plastics, characterized by that tempered inert gas, such as N2, CO2 or Ar, is introduced into the exposure chamber. [3] Device for photopolymerization of parts made of light-curing plastics, characterized by that the temperature of the introduced gas is between 0° and 150° C.
