AI Technical Summary
There are no manufacturer-independent digital systems to record and evaluate the care history of vehicles, leading to issues with transparency and authenticity of vehicle care documentation, particularly in used cars.
A digital system with a barcode for vehicle identification, an app for certified conditioners to log care tasks, a database for record storage, and a training system to ensure only trained personnel access, along with an early warning system for manufacturers.
Provides transparent, tamper-proof documentation of vehicle care history, enhances confidence, supports residual value evaluation, and aids manufacturers in detecting potential damage early.
Abstract
Description
Technical area:
[0001] The invention relates to the field of vehicle care and documentation, in particular to a digital system for recording, storing and tracking care and cleaning measures on motor vehicles. State of the art:
[0002] Currently, there are no manufacturer-independent systems that digitally record and analyze vehicle maintenance history. Especially for used cars, transparent documentation of vehicle maintenance, such as sealants, paint protection, or interior cleaning, is lacking. Paper records are easily forged or incomplete. Object of the invention:
[0003] The object of the invention is to provide a digital system that documents the complete and verifiable maintenance history of a vehicle, integrates certified vehicle detailers and does not collect any personal data. Solution to the task:
[0004] The system consists of the following main components: - A barcode permanently attached to the vehicle (e.g. on the door frame, trunk or fuel cap) that enables vehicle identification (e.g. chassis number, model, first registration). - An app or web-based platform that allows authorized and certified reconditioners to enter maintenance work. - A database in which maintenance records are stored, including the date, mileage, type of work (e.g. polishing, interior cleaning, paint sealing) and products used. - A training and certification system for vehicle detailers that ensures that only trained companies have access to the system. - An early warning system that provides manufacturers with information about recurring damage to certain models in order to identify warranty or rust problems at an early stage.
[0005] Advantages of the invention: - Full transparency for vehicle owners, appraisers and workshops - Counterfeit-proof thanks to QR code system - Involvement of certified specialist companies increases trust - Better residual value assessment for used cars - Support for manufacturers to avoid warranty claims - Environmental and health-friendly proof of the products and methods used
Claims
[1] System for digital documentation of maintenance work on vehicles, consisting of: - a machine-readable barcode attached to the vehicle, - a software application for care recording, - a database for storing care histories, - whereby only certified vehicle detailers can create maintenance entries via authentication. [2] System according to claim 1, characterized by that the barcode contains the chassis number, the vehicle model and the first registration and is linked to a digital entry. [3] System according to claim 1 or 2, characterized by that care records include date, mileage, type of care, cleaning agents used and name of the certified company. [4] System according to one of the preceding claims, characterized bythat an early warning system automatically generates manufacturer notifications in the event of repeated care anomalies. [5] System according to one of the preceding claims, characterized by that the data is stored in accordance with the GDPR and does not contain any personal data of the vehicle owner.
