Description

[0001] E-bikes or pedelecs with chain drives require regular fresh chain grease or wax and intensive cleaning. However, since the chainring on modern electric bicycle drives no longer rotates when freewheeling (backwards), this maintenance work is only possible with the appropriate aids or tools.

[0002] The invention closes this gap and makes bicycle chain maintenance easy to carry out.

[0003] The tool is a handy, one-piece tool measuring 140 x 55 mm, machined from 6 mm thick plastic. This material prevents unsightly marks on the bike.

[0004] Using the tool is incredibly simple. Its small tab is hooked into the crank spider. When the crank is turned back, the spider slides into the tool's recess, taking the chainring and chain with it.
