Abstract

Claim 1 includes the following feature. With this model, the rear wheels or their axles are detached from the user's wheelchair, and the wheelchair frame is placed onto the trailer frame and secured. Alternatively, a separate wheelchair can be permanently mounted on the trailer. The trailer is attached to the seat post of the e-bike (max. 25 km / h) using a drawbar and a ball joint. The trailer is made primarily of aluminum and stainless steel. The wheels are from a bicycle shop and are 26-inch and 28-inch (front) wheels. The trailer's own weight is approximately 30 kg. The passenger is secured with the wheelchair's own safety belt. In addition, special handrails provide safety and sturdy mudguards prevent the passenger from unintentionally interfering with the running wheels. For road safety, there are 2 LED taillights and also a brake light for following traffic.
