Abstract
Description
[0001] Conventional triceps pendulums feature a fixed pivot point and a pivoting lever arm, on which a single weight plate and a handle are attached. Angle adjustments of the handles are not provided in known devices. The force curve of these devices is solely determined by a single weight plate and is therefore only variable to a limited extent.
[0002] The invention described in claim 1 addresses the problem of creating a triceps pendulum that allows for different grip positions, grip angles, stance positions, and resistance profiles without altering the basic design of a pendulum-mounted training device. This problem is solved by the features listed in claim 1. The invention enables the grip length and angle to be adjusted to different users, and the footrest is depth-adjustable. The second weight plate allows for an alternative resistance curve compared to the first, thus making the resistance profile variable during movement. The rubber mounts provide additional elastic resistance. These features significantly expand the functionality of a conventional triceps pendulum. Examples of implementation Fig. Figure 1 shows a perspective view of the triceps pendulum in its starting position with lateral supports (10), frontal support (12), connecting tubes (14), the pivot point (16) mounted between the lateral supports (10), the pivoting lever arm (18), the first weight holder (20), the second weight holder (22), the mounting tube (24) with perforated disc (26) attached to the lever arm (18), the pin (28), the inserted handle tube (30), the locking pin fixation (32), the foot plate (34), the sliding foot rest (36) on the guide rail (38), the locking pin (40) and the rubber mounts (42). Fig. Figure 2 shows a side view of the triceps pendulum in the starting position, in which the lever arm (18) with the two weight mounts (20, 22), the mounting tube (24) with the perforated disc (26), the handle tube (30), the foot plate (34), the guide rail (38) with footrest (36) and the rubber mounts (42) are visible. Fig. Figure 3 shows a frontal view of the device in its starting position with the side supports (10), the front support (12), the connecting tubes (14), the lever arm (18) with the weight receptacles (20, 22), the receiving tube (24), the foot plate (34) and the footrest (36) arranged on the guide rail (38). Fig. Figure 4 shows a side view of the triceps pendulum, in which the receiving tube (24) is adjusted upwards relative to the lever arm (18) via the perforated disc (26). The handle tube (30) is fixed in the raised angular position by means of the pin (28) and the locking pin (32). Fig. Figure 5 shows a side view of the triceps pendulum during a movement in which the lever arm (18) is pivoted from the starting position, the set angle between the receiving tube (24) and the lever arm (18) remains unchanged and the handle tube (30) follows the movement.
