Description
Field of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to image display technology, and more particularly to a decoration that can automatically change the appearance pattern of a ball. State of the art
[0002] Traditional decorations typically involve solid components, such as wood carvings, ceramic or glass decorations, and fabric decorations, which are shaped or decorated with patterns. However, traditional decorations have the following problems: 1. The pattern is fixed and cannot be changed Once the pattern of conventional decorations is completed, it cannot be changed or updated and cannot be adapted to different needs or the individual requirements of the user. 2. Lack of dynamic effects and visual appeal The patterns of traditional decorations are usually static and cannot display dynamic changes after creation, so they lack visual changes and attractiveness.
[0003] Considering the above-mentioned problems of conventional decorations, there is a need for improvements by professionals in this field. Object of the invention
[0004] It is the main object of the present invention to provide a decoration that can automatically change the appearance pattern of a ball, with which the user can easily and quickly adjust the pattern according to his needs to achieve a personalized and dynamic display.
[0005] To achieve the above object, the present invention provides a decoration that can automatically change the appearance pattern of a ball, comprising: a translucent shell; a ball movably disposed in the translucent shell and rotatable relative to the translucent shell; a display portion disposed on a part or all of the outer surface of the ball; a storage portion for storing the data of a plurality of patterns; and a control portion electrically connected to each of the display portion and the storage portion, and which, in accordance with an update command, retrieves the data of one of the patterns from the storage portion, whereupon the pattern is displayed as a visually perceptible pattern on the display portion.
[0006] In one embodiment, the control portion is wirelessly connected to a computing device to receive an update command issued by the computing device.

[0008] In one embodiment, the decoration further comprises a spacer portion located between the ball and the translucent shell.
[0009] In one embodiment, the spacer portion is a fluid.
[0010] This allows the sphere to float on the fluid and avoid direct contact with the inner wall of the translucent shell, reducing friction during the sphere's rotation and preventing damage or wear caused by contact, thus improving durability. Furthermore, the fluid can cause light refraction or change the display effect, making patterns appear more uniform and clear.
[0011] In one embodiment, the decoration further comprises a driving force portion disposed within the ball and for driving rotation of the ball relative to the shell portion.
[0012] In one embodiment, the driving force portion includes a motor and a transmission component, wherein the output end of the transmission component is connected to the ball to provide power for rotation of the ball and to control the rotational speed of the ball.
[0013] In one embodiment, the display portion is an e-paper display, an LCD display, an LED display, or an internal projection-based display.
[0014] In one embodiment, the control section is a microprocessor, a central processing unit (CPU), a computing device, a microcontroller, a digital signal processor, or a graphics processing unit (GPU).
[0015] In one embodiment, the decoration further comprises a frame for supporting the translucent shell. In this way, the frame provides stable support for the translucent shell, ensuring stability and safety of the overall structure to prevent damage to the decoration. Brief description of the drawings Fig. 1 shows a schematic view of a preferred embodiment of the decoration according to the invention which can automatically change the appearance pattern of a ball; Fig. 2 shows a sectional view along the section line 2-2 according to Fig. 1; Fig. 3 shows a system block diagram of the decoration that can automatically change the appearance pattern of a ball according to Fig. 1. Detailed description of the embodiment
[0016] In the following, a preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
[0017] It is based on the Fig. 1 to 3. The decoration 100 capable of automatically changing the appearance pattern 200 of a ball 102 according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention primarily includes a translucent shell 101, a ball 102, a spacer portion 103, a driving force portion 104, a display portion 105, a storage portion 106, a control portion 107, a power supply portion 108, and a rack 110.
[0018] The sphere 102 has a hollow spherical structure, and its interior can be used to accommodate other components. For example, the driving force section 104, the storage section 106, the control section 107, and the power supply section 108 can be partially or entirely housed within the interior. Of course, they can also be partially or entirely arranged at a suitable location outside the interior of the sphere 102.
[0019] The translucent shell 101 is made of transparent plastic and allows light to pass through. The structure of the translucent shell 101 is similar in size and shape to the sphere 102. In particular, the inner diameter of the translucent shell 101 is slightly larger than the outer diameter of the sphere 102, allowing the sphere 102 to be accommodated within the translucent shell 101, creating a gap between the sphere 102 and the translucent shell 101.
[0020] The spacer portion 103 is located between the sphere 102 and the translucent shell 101. More specifically, the spacer portion 103 is a fluid that fills the space (see Fig. 2) so that the outer surface of the ball 102 does not come into direct contact with the inner wall of the translucent shell 101, in order to reduce friction during the rotation of the ball 102. Here, the fluid is a liquid such as water or oil.
[0021] The driving force portion 104 is located within the ball 102 and serves to drive the rotation of the ball 102 relative to the shell portion. Specifically, the driving force portion 104 includes a motor and a transmission component (not shown), with the output end of the transmission component connected to the ball 102 to provide power for the rotation of the ball 102 and to control the rotational speed of the ball 102. Here, the transmission component includes connecting rods, gears, or other transmission parts to achieve the purpose of power transmission.
[0022] The power supply section 108 includes a battery (not shown) disposed within the sphere 102 and electrically connected to the driving force section 104, the display section 105, the storage section 106, and the control section 107, respectively, to provide power for operation. Furthermore, the power supply section 108 may include a solar module 1081. The sphere 102 may have a partially or fully translucent design so that the solar module 1081 can absorb external light and convert it into electrical energy. In other possible embodiments, the power supply section 108 may also be connected to an external power source via a charging cable 1082 or a cable 1083 to provide power by contact or to charge using conventional wireless charging technology.
[0023] The display section 105 is an e-paper display, an LCD display, an LED display, or an internal projection-based display and is arranged on part or the entire outer surface of the sphere 102. In the present embodiment, the display section 105 is arranged on the entire outer surface of the sphere 102.
[0024] The storage section 106 has a database, which is a hard disk drive (HDD), a solid-state drive (SSD), or a server (database server) for storing data of multiple patterns 200. These pattern data include, but are not limited to, astronomical objects (such as Earth, Mars, and Saturn), moving objects (such as basketballs and footballs), and other spherical objects (such as tectonic plates, oceans, and clouds).
[0025] The control section 107 is a microprocessor, a central processing unit (CPU), a computing device, a microcontroller, a digital signal processor, a graphics processing unit (GPU), another similar device with computing functions, or a combination thereof. The control section 107 is electrically connected to the display section 105 and the storage section 106 and can retrieve the data of one of the patterns 200 from the storage section 106 according to an update command to control the display section 105 to display the corresponding pattern. The control section 107 is wirelessly connected to a computing device 300 to receive the update command issued by the computing device 300.Here, the computing device 300 is a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a desktop computer, a notebook, or a voice control device. The voice control device can also be a built-in device or a program in a smart home system, a mobile phone, a tablet computer, a desktop computer, or a notebook. This allows the user to select and change the pattern 200 via a voice command or a mobile phone application (app), making operation easier and more intuitive and giving the ball different visual effects. Furthermore, the user can also transfer and store external patterns to the storage section 106 via the computing device 300 or display them directly on the display section 105.
[0026] The frame 110 consists of several rod bodies 1101 and a base 1102 and serves to support the translucent shell 101. In other possible embodiments, other support devices such as presentation stands can also be used.
[0027] The above description represents only a preferred embodiment of the invention and is not intended to limit the claims. All equivalent changes and modifications that can be made by a person skilled in the art in accordance with the description and drawings of the invention are within the scope of the present invention. For example, the decoration 100 may comprise only the translucent shell 101, the ball 102, the display section 105, the storage section 106, and the control section 107, whereby the purpose of automatically changing the appearance pattern 20 of a ball can also be achieved.
