Abstract

Device for performing time measurements using an interleaved histogram (2a) consisting of temporally overlapping sub-histograms, each generated with a sub-TDC (time to digital converter), wherein within a measurement cycle information of time events in the interleaved histogram (2a) is registered, wherein after each measurement cycle the information in the interleaved histogram (2a) is decoded and the decoded information is stored and added up in a histogram memory, and wherein after each measurement cycle the interleaved histogram (2a) is reset.
