Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an insect clapping device comprising a plate with a centrally arranged predetermined bending point / pivot axis. The use of an insect clatter, predominantly also referred to as fly clatter, aims at killing insects of all kinds, preferably those capable of flying, such as mosquitos, moths, flies, etc. In the conventional application of a mechanical fly clapping, a striking surface is used to strike the insect to be laid, which as a result loses its physical integrity. The disadvantage of conventional, non-electric fly champs is that usually unlinged insect stains, parts or even the entire body remain on the background on which the insect is placed.Because of this, a stain-preventing mechanical insect clapping is presented here.It is an object of the invention to improve the insect clatter described at the beginning in such a way that seated and flying insects can be left, anesthetized or killed without traces outside the insect clatter. This is realized by an insect clapping device according to claim 1, and an insect clapping device according to claim 2, which has a construction in which, in the ready-to-use state, which is bent by means of the predetermined bending point, two plate segments move towards one another until they are brought into congruence as far as possible over the whole area. The two plate segments can be moved relative to one another via a predetermined bending point, so that the plate segments of the insect clatter are spaced apart from one another in an open state and preferably come to bear completely against one another in a closed state. The insect is thus captured, anesthetized and / or killed between the two plate segments and not on the underlying surface on which the insect was located. The avoidance of insect stains on surfaces is additionally promoted by the natural escape reflex of flying insects. This sets in shortly before the maximum of the two plate segments lie against one another. The insect still seated beforehand is thereby removed a small distance away from the wall into the space or direction of the predetermined bending point / pivot axis 1, for example.Further features and embodiments of the invention are evident from the figures, to which reference is made below. The figures show:FIG. 1 shows an insect clatter according to the invention in an unbended state with a tab with a euro hole and without recesses in a plan view, a side view and a rear view;FIG. 2 shows an insect clatter according to the invention in a further embodiment in an unbended state without a tab and with recesses in a plan view, side view and a rear view;FIG. 3 shows an insect clatter according to the invention in a side view in a kinked state, so that it is ready for useFIG. 4 shows an insect clatter according to the invention in a side view, with plate segments brought to the greatest possible extent into congruence;FIG. 5 shows an insect clapping system according to the invention in a plan view of two insect clappings according to the invention stored next to one another;FIG. 6 shows an insect clatter according to the invention in a side view, with transverse sides / stroke surface edges contacting the background. The insect clatter presented looks in detail as follows:The insect clatter is initially a single rigid, substantially rectangular shaped plate which has a centrally located predetermined bending point / pivot axis 1 which divides the plate into two plate segments. The two plate segments are advantageously pivotable relative to one another via the predetermined bending point / pivot axis. The predetermined bending point / pivot axis 1 is produced by a region which is greatly thinned or partially broken through in relation to the surrounding plate thickness and is located between two retaining elements 2 into which the fingers of a user can be inserted. The predetermined bending point / pivot axis extends in a straight line over the entire plate. The regular plate thickness is between 1 mm and 30 mm.In order not to start or carry insects away during the process of lay by an air blast originating from the two plate segments, areas of the plate segments consist of areas 6, 6.1 which penetrate the entire plate thickness, gridded / perforated. The insect clatter further comprises on its rear side a finger rest surface 4, on which the fingers of a user come to rest when they are inserted into the holding elements 2.On the side opposite the finger placement surfaces 4, i.e. on an inner side of the insect clatter, there is necessarily an ungridened / nonperforated closed region 5 in order not to be sticked in the finger / hand region when insects with spikes are placed. Both the finger rest surfaces 4 and the ungrided closed / non-perforated region 5 can have inscriptions, decorative motifs such as a target pane, an animal denture or company logo on the surface. As shown in FIG. 6, the insect clatter is placed on a ground to lay an insect. In order to avoid color traces due to abrasion of the plate segments on a light background, the insect clapping device is preferably made of transparent, light and / or abrasion-resistant material. In the embodiment according to FIGS. 2, 3 and 5, a plurality of optional lateral recesses 8 are shown, which serve to support two or more insect clatters side by side in a space-saving manner. An insect valve system resulting therefrom is shown in FIG. 5.The insect clatter presented is to be used as follows:Since the insect clatter initially represents a single continuously fixed plate with a predetermined bending point, it is essential to bend it along the predetermined bending point / pivot axis 1 before the first use in order to generate the required pivot axis. The aim of the bending is that the initially continuous impact surface 5, 6, 6.1 opposite the holding element 2 is divided into two impact surfaces / plate segments. The two impact surfaces / plate segments are then brought together further until they are brought into congruence as far as possible over the whole area. The insect clatter in the collapsed state is shown in Figure 4.The insect clatter optionally has a hanger or centrally arranged euro hole 3 above the initially one-piece striking surface 5, 6, 6.1. The Euro-hole tab 3 is either attached as an adhesive unit or is co-cast during the injection molding process. The Euro-hole tab 3 is to be cut off along the adjacent transverse side / impact surface edge 7 before first use. When using the insect clatter, the attached holding elements 2 are to be used. A user grasps the bent insect clatter from the direction of the predetermined bending point / pivot axis 1. The fingers used are located above the finger placement surfaces 4. more than one finger can also be inserted into the finger holes on the side opposite the thumb or can additionally be placed on top. With optimum positioning of the fingers, an opening angle >90° can be achieved. The insect clatter can be used to lay sitting as well as flying insects. In general, when approaching an insect, the two plate segments or impact surfaces 5, 6, 6.1 are moved apart by means of the holding elements 2. This procedure represents the opening of the insect clatter. The aim is that, during the subsequent, advantageously rapid closing or bringing the plate segments to the greatest possible extent into congruence, the flying insect to be killed is located as centrally as possible between the two plate segments or impact surfaces 5, 6, 6.1. When approaching a seated insect, the insect clatter is also openable. This is then slowly closed centrally over the insect until a remaining opening angle of about 50° is reached. After reaching the opening angle of about 50°, the striking surfaces 5, 6, 6.1 now surrounding the insect are easily placed on the underlying surface on which the insect is seated. The closing to be carried out quickly follows, while the two transverse sides / impact surface edges 7, 7.1 have slight contact with the underlying surface until the plate segments are brought to substantially coincide or the plate segments are completely brought together. This is particularly clearly seen in FIG. 6.List of reference characters1 Predetermined bending point / pivot axis 2 Holding element 3 Tab with euro hole 4 Finger placement surface 5 Impact surface / closed unsneted / non-perforated 6 Impact surface / entire plate thickness perforated net / perforated 6.1 Impact surface / entire plate thickness perforated net / perforated 7 Transverse side / impact surface edge 7.1 Transverse side / impact surface edge 8 Recess 9 Longitudinal side
