Description

[0001] The invention relates to a parasite repellent device according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] A parasite repellent device of the type mentioned above is known from document WO 2020 / 231456 A1. This parasite repellent device consists of a ring-shaped body that fits around a human limb and a parasite trapping device attached to the body. This solution features a closure that can be connected in different positions to allow the body to be attached to both thinner and thicker limbs. Particularly with thicker limbs, a (protective) gap may occur in the adhesive-coated parasite trapping device.

[0003] The invention is based on the object of improving a parasite defense device of the type mentioned above. In particular, a parasite defense device is to be created that, despite continuing adaptability, ensures reliable, particularly complete defense even with extremities of varying strength.

[0004] This object is achieved with a parasite repellent device of the type mentioned at the outset by the features listed in the characterising part of claim 1.

[0005] According to the invention, it is therefore provided that the annular body is formed from at least two body members which together define an overall circumference of the body and that the parasite catching device is designed to extend exactly over the entire circumference of the body, both in the case of two and in the case of more than two body members.

[0006] In other words, the parasite repellent device according to the invention, which serves in particular to repel ticks and is preferably positioned on the shin region of a person, is characterized in that it is formed from links and the parasite catching device is always designed to be adapted to the circumference of the links, as will be explained in more detail below, so that no gap is created in the defense through which parasites could overcome the device.

[0007] Other advantageous developments of the parasite repellent device according to the invention result from the dependent claims.

[0008] For the sake of completeness, reference is also made to the following documents: DE 299 00 066 U1, DE 20 2013 005 097 U1 and US 10,499,627 B2.

[0009] The parasite repellent device according to the invention, including its advantageous developments according to the dependent claims, is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing of a preferred embodiment.

[0010] It shows perspective Fig. 1 the parasite repellent device according to the invention as a view from below with the parasite trapping device inserted; Fig. 2 the parasite defense device according to Fig. 1 as a view from above; Fig. 3 the parasite defense device according to Fig. 1 again as a view from below, but this time without the parasite trapping device; Fig. 4 the parasite trapping device alone and without the body of the parasite defence device; Fig. 5 the first connecting device consisting of two body parts, only partially pushed together here; Fig. 6 the right of the two body parts according to Fig. 5 in unique position; Fig. 7 the left of the two body parts according to Fig. 5 in unique position; Fig. 8 the second (and partly also the third) connecting device with locking lug and locking opening; Fig. 9 the parasite defence device consists of a particularly Fig. 3 slightly changed viewing direction, but also without the parasite trapping device; Fig. 10 an enlarged view of the abutment element; and Fig. 11 an enlarged section of the parasite defense device with a removed body part (and thus a device that cannot be used in practice), but with the strip-shaped base body inserted.

[0011] The parasite repellent device shown in the figures consists, in a known manner, of a ring-shaped body 1 fitting around a human extremity (preferably a lower leg) and a parasite trapping device 2 attached to the body 1.

[0012] As is particularly evident from Fig. 2, it is particularly preferably provided that the annular body 1 is toroidal with an imaginary central axis 1.5 and an imaginary radius 1.6 extending from the central axis 1.5 to the body members 1.1, 1.2 and perpendicular to the central axis 1.5.

[0013] It is now essential for the parasite defense device according to the invention that the annular body 1 is formed from at least two body members 1.1, 1.2 which together define an overall circumference of the body 1 and that the parasite catching device 2 extends exactly over the entire circumference of the body 1 (and is thus neither overlapping nor too short) both in the case of two and in the case of more than two body members 1.1, 1.2.

[0014] As can be seen from the figures, it is particularly preferred that the annular body 1 is formed from at least three, preferably more than three, body members 1.1, 1.2, 1.3. The body members 1.1, 1.2 (and optionally 1.3) are preferably firmly but detachably connected to one another.

[0015] As particularly in Fig. 4, the parasite catching device 2 has a strip-shaped base body 2.1. This (i.e., the parasite catching device 2) or preferably the strip-shaped base body 2.1 is preferably provided with an adhesive or an adhesive strip for catching parasites. Furthermore, the annular body 1 and / or the strip-shaped base body 2.1 is / are preferably made of plastic. Furthermore, for easy adaptability, it is particularly preferred that the strip-shaped base body 2.1 be designed to be manually cut off with a scissor-like cutting device (in particular simply with scissors). As can be seen from the figures, the strip-shaped base body 2.1 preferably has a length, width, and thickness, wherein said length corresponds to at least five times said width and said width corresponds to at least five times said thickness.Furthermore, it is provided that the strip-shaped base body 2.1 is designed at one of its ends to be at least a little narrower than the rest of its length, preferably only half as wide as the rest of its length. This section is preferably designed to be just about long enough so that the locking openings 1.22, explained further below, are always uncovered by the strip-shaped base body 2.1 inserted into the device for use.

[0016] In particular, in order to protect the aforementioned adhesive from external access or contact (and thus only the aforementioned ticks stick to it), it is further preferably provided that the body parts 1.1, 1.2 have a common, continuously ring-shaped receiving space 1.4 for the parasite trapping device 2. In this case, it is particularly preferably provided that the strip-shaped base body 2.1 is arranged completely in the receiving space 1.4. The receiving space 1.4 is preferably designed as an annular channel that is closed on three sides and open on one side. Looking at it in more detail, it is preferably provided in this context that the receiving space 1.4 has an at least approximately V-shaped cross-section (compare, for example, Fig. 7). Furthermore, in order to prevent the parasites from crawling past the base body 2.1, one long side of the strip-shaped base body 2.1 is particularly preferably arranged to extend into the narrowest point of the V-shaped cross-section (see Fig. 11).

[0017] In addition (see in particular the Fig. 1, Fig. 3, Fig. 9 and Fig. 10) preferably provides that several abutment elements 1.9 are arranged on the open edge of the receiving space 1.4, distributed over the circumference of the annular body 1, as a holder or fixation for the strip-shaped base body 2.1 in the receiving space 1.4.

[0018] As can be seen from the figures, in principle, preferably on one edge of the body members 1.1, 1.2, a part of a first connecting device 1.10 (see in particular Fig. 5) and / or a part of a second connecting device 1.20 (see in particular Fig. 8). The parts of the two connecting devices 1.10, 1.20 arranged on adjacent edges of the body members 1.1, 1.2 are preferably designed to fit together in a form-fitting manner, like a female and male part.

[0019] Looking more closely, the parts of the first connecting device 1.10 are designed to be plugged into one another in a direction at least approximately, preferably exactly, parallel to the (imaginary) central axis 1.5. Looking even more closely, one part of the first connecting device 1.10 is designed as a pin 1.11 extending parallel to the central axis 1.5, preferably with a T-shaped cross-section, and the other part of the first connecting device 1.10 is designed as a groove 1.12 extending parallel to the central axis 1.5, preferably with an inverse T-shaped cross-section, and matching the T-shaped pin.

[0020] Furthermore, the parts of the second connecting device 1.20 are preferably designed to be pluggable into one another in a direction at least approximately, preferably exactly, perpendicular to the (imaginary) central axis 1.5. Furthermore (see in particular Fig. 8) to form a buckle, one part of the second connecting device 1.20 is designed as a locking lug 1.21 and the other part of the second connecting device 1.20 for extremities of different strengths is designed as a series of locking openings 1.22 extending along a ring shape of the ring-shaped body 1 and matching the locking lug 1.21.

[0021] Furthermore, body members 1.1, 1.2 that exclusively have first connecting devices 1.10 are preferably made of a more elastic plastic than body members 1.1, 1.2 that have second connecting devices 1.20. This ensures stability while simultaneously providing the necessary flexibility to accommodate, for example, different leg circumferences.

[0022] In order to be able to attach the parasite trapping device 2 to the body 1 in the most expedient manner possible, a part of a third connecting device 1.30 is preferably arranged at one end of the strip-shaped base body 2.1 and another part of the third connecting device 1.30 is arranged at a body limb 1.1, 1.2. Looking at it in more detail, one part of the third connecting device 1.30 is preferably designed as a further locking lug 2.2 (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 11) and the other part of the third connecting device 1.30 is designed as a further locking opening 1.31 matching the further locking lug 2.2 (see Fig. 8). Furthermore, it is particularly preferably provided that the locking opening 1.31 of the third connecting device 1.30 is arranged adjacent to the locking openings 1.22 of the second connecting device 1.20 on the annular body 1, preferably on the same body member 1.1, 1.2.

[0023] As can be seen from the Fig. 5 and Fig. 6, an overlapping extension 1.7 is preferably provided at a transition from one body member 1.1 to another body member 1.2 for covering optionally the first or the second connecting device 1.10, 1.20 on one of the two body members 1.1, 1.2. Furthermore, a receiving area 1.8, preferably designed as a recess, for the overlapping extension 1.7 is preferably provided on a body member 1.2 adjacent to a body member 1.1 provided with the overlapping extension 1.7. Finally, said overlapping extension 1.7 is preferably arranged on an outer ring side of the annular body 1.
