Abstract
Description
Field of invention
[0001] The invention relates to a light strip for receiving a lamp or a strip of lights. State of the art
[0002] In current technology, light strips are used to attach light elements to a ceiling or interior wall, allowing these light elements to illuminate a room. This light is directed straight into the room, illuminating everything within it primarily with directional light. This direct light is usually very bright and can be dazzling. Furthermore, areas of the room often remain in shadow behind other objects. Description of the invention
[0003] The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a light strip with which a gentle illumination of the room is achieved and some light can reach as many places as possible in a room.
[0004] This problem is solved by a light strip according to claim 1. Further features that elaborate the invention are contained in the dependent claims.
[0005] A light strip according to the invention for receiving at least one luminaire for illuminating a room comprises an elongated main body with a top surface and two sides connected to each other, e.g., via the top surface, wherein the elongated main body includes a receiving device for direct illumination directed into the room and wherein a recess is formed on at least one side surface, which is provided for receiving an illumination, wherein the illumination can be stored in the recess such that the light emitted directly downwards by the illumination is covered, in particular by the fact that the underside of the recess has a wall extending laterally, so that the downward-directed light of an illumination received in the recess is covered. In particular, the recess has a light element. This causes the light from the lighting in the recess to be thrown against the ceiling or the side wall, even behind the light strip, illuminating the room with indirect light.
[0006] The main body is preferably designed as an extruded profile, particularly made of aluminum. This is a cost-effective manufacturing method and material for a light strip.
[0007] The recess of the light strip is preferably designed as a groove with two, in particular parallel, side walls and a groove base. Preferably, the light strip has at least one light element that does not protrude beyond the underside of the recess. This effectively prevents the light from the light element from being emitted directly into the room.
[0008] The light strip preferably further comprises a light band with a plurality of lighting elements, wherein the light band is arranged in the recess and, in particular, the lighting elements have a diffuser. The diffuser is preferably semicircular in cross-section.
[0009] The side walls of the main body are connected to each other, in particular by a web preferably oriented perpendicular to the side walls. Preferably, the web extends continuously along the longitudinal direction of the light strip. This increases the stability of the light strip.
[0010] The receiving device for direct lighting is specifically designed as a receiving chamber enclosed by two side walls. This protects the direct lighting.
[0011] The light strip preferably further comprises a second lateral recess or groove for receiving at least one light element, wherein the recess or groove is formed on the side wall opposite the first recess or groove. In principle, the light strip can be positioned close to a wall, so that only one recess for at least one light element is sufficient. With two recesses, it becomes possible to optimize the indirect lighting provided by the light strip, particularly when the light strip is installed in the center of a room.
[0012] The light strip preferably features a T-slot mounting device on its upper surface for installation on a surface. This allows the light strip to be securely attached to a corresponding rail. Alternatively, it can be fastened using screws. Brief description of the characters Fig. Figure 1 shows an isometric view of the light bar; Fig. 2 shows a section of the light strip; Fig. Figure 3 shows a view of the underside of the light bar; Fig. 4 shows a side view of the light bar; Fig. Figure 5 shows an isometric view of the light bar with a band of light in the recess; and Fig. Figure 6 shows a section of the light strip with a light band in the recess. Description of preferred embodiments
[0013] The terms "above," "below," "right," and "left" are used below in reference to the figures. Light strips are usually mounted on the ceiling, but it is also possible to attach them to a side wall. The light strip can be of any length, is preferably between 40 mm and 60 mm high, and between 20 mm and 40 mm wide. The wall thickness of walls 12, 14, and 18 is preferably between 1 mm and 2 mm, particularly between 1.3 mm and 1.5 mm, and can vary for different walls. The light strip is preferably symmetrical about an axis, which is represented as the vertical line S.
[0014] Fig. Figure 1 shows an isometric view of a light strip 10. The light strip 10 has side walls 12, 14 and a top surface 18, which form an elongated main body. A receiving device 22 is provided on the underside of the light strip, which is suitable for receiving direct lighting. Direct lighting can be any suitable lighting, such as one or more LEDs, an LED strip, neon tubes, incandescent lamps, or other luminaires.
[0015] In the figures, the receiving device 22 is designed as a receiving chamber bounded by the side walls 12, 14, which extend downwards. Electronics, such as cables for lighting, can also be accommodated in the receiving chamber. On their underside, the two walls preferably have inwardly directed projections 13, 15. A recess 11 is preferably provided on the inside of these projections 13, 15, which can serve to attach a cover that is at least partially transparent, e.g., a frosted cover, with which the direct light can be diffused.
[0016] In Fig. Figure 2 shows a cross-section of the light strip 10. The two side walls 12, 14 can be connected to each other by a web 16. This improves the stability of the light strip and divides the interior of the light strip into two parts. The lower part, facing into the room, can then function as a recording space.
[0017] A mounting device is provided on the upper surface 18 of the light strip 10 for securing the light strip 10. In the figures, this is designed as a T-slot with an undercut. For this type of suspension, a rail can be inserted into the slot 20 and attached to the ceiling with ropes or cords. Another way to secure the light strip is to screw it to the wall or ceiling. The screws can be located along the dashed lines A shown as an example. Ideally, holes are provided in an existing groove for the screws, through which the screws can be inserted and screwed directly into the upper surface 18 from the inside.
[0018] In the upper region of one or both sides, a recess 30 is formed to accommodate a light source 40. This recess ensures that the light emitted by the light source 40 is not directed downwards into the room, but rather upwards and to the side. In the preferred embodiment, the recess 30 is designed as a groove with an upper and a lower groove side 32, 36 and a groove base 34. The light source 40 can then be attached to this groove, particularly at the groove base 34. A recess can be provided at the outer ends of the groove sides 32, 36, so that a cover can be attached to the groove 30, analogous to the recess 11. Groove shapes other than the rectangular one shown can also be used. For example, the groove can be (semi)circular, oval, triangular, or otherwise polygonal.
[0019] The recess 30 is preferably arranged less than 12 mm below the top surface 18, more preferably less than 5 mm and in particular directly below the top surface 18, so that the recess 30 is arranged as high as possible in the respective side 12, 14.
[0020] Another way to delve deeper is in Fig. Figure 6 on the left shows the upper corner of the light strip 10 replaced by a slope 38, onto which the light fixture 40 can then be mounted. Even with this type of recess, the light emitted by the light fixture does not shine directly downwards into the room. Different recesses 30 can also be formed on both sides 12, 14 of the light strip 10, for example, a slope 38 and a groove.
[0021] In Fig. 3 shows a view from below into the recording room and Fig. Figure 4 shows a side view of the light strip 10. From the side, only the side wall 12 and the recess 30 are visible. The receiving area and the recess 30 preferably extend over the entire length of the light strip 10.
[0022] Fig. Figure 5 shows an isometric view of the light strip 10, in which a light source 40 is arranged in the recess 30. The light source 40 is mounted on the base of the groove 34. The light source 40 can be formed from one or more light elements, which may, for example, comprise one or more LEDs. In particular, the light source comprises a light strip in which a plurality of light elements are connected in series. The light elements preferably have a diffuser that scatters the light. The diffuser is shown here as a semicircle. A recess 30, designed as a groove, is preferably between 4 and 7 mm high and at least 2 mm to 3 mm deep, in any case deep enough to cover the downwardly emitted light of the light source 40.
[0023] In Fig. 6 is a sectional view as in Fig.Figure 2 shows the lighting 40 being attached in or to the recess 30. On the right side, the lighting 40 is attached in a groove, while on the left side a recess designed as a slope 38 is provided, in which the light is also not emitted directly downwards.
