Abstract

Frame (4) for a roof window (2) with a window frame (8) having a circumferential groove (10) for receiving a lining (12) and a window sash (16) movable relative to the window frame (8) with a transparent infill (18), wherein the frame (4) is designed to receive a protective device (6) and has an upper transverse leg, a lower transverse leg and two lateral longitudinal legs for forming the frame (4), and wherein the frame (4) can be arranged on the window frame (8) such that the protective device (6) extends substantially over the entire extent of the aforementioned infill (18) in a closed position of the roof window (2), characterized in that the frame (4) is designed, in addition to receiving the protective device (6), for installation in the circumferential groove (10) and for alternatively receiving the lining (12).
