The present disclosure relates to a
roof window (1) of the tilt (AX1) and turn (AX2) type, for a building. The
roof window (1) comprises a first lock (12, 25) which in a locked state is configured to
interlock an interconnecting part (11, 11a, 11b) and a fixation frame (2) of the
roof window (1), at least in a turn mode (TUM), so that turning of the movable unit (3) around a turn axis (AX2) is allowed while a first lock (12, 25) is in a locked state and while a first
handle (8) of the roof window (1) remains in a first
handle position (HP1). A second lock (15) is, in a locked state, configured to lock the movable unit (3) in a third, closed and locked mode (CLM). A second
handle (18) is configured to be operated so as to switch the second lock (15) between the locked state and an unlocked state. The movable unit (3) is configured to be turned relative to the interconnecting part (11, 11a, 11b) around said turn axis (AX2) by means of the second handle (18) while the first handle (8) is in a second handle position (HP2) and while the first lock (12, 25) is in an unlocked state. The present disclosure also relates to a method of
retrofitting a tilt and turn type roof window to comprise an electrically powered
actuator (9).
