Novel endoscopic control accessories

Abstract

Endoscopic control accessory, one surface of which is coated with a parylene coating by at least the following steps: Step 1 - Placing the endoscopic control accessory in a deposition chamber; Step 2 - Placing a parylene dimer in an evaporator; Step 3 - Heating the evaporator to a temperature at which the parylene dimer immediately sublimates to a dimer vapor; Step 4 - Transferring the dimer vapor to a pyrolysis oven, which is heated to a temperature at which the molecules of the dimer in the dimer vapor are split into monomer vapor; Step 5 - Directing the monomer vapor into the deposition chamber, which is kept at room temperature and in which the endoscopic control accessory is placed; and step 6 - Polymerization of the monomer vapor upon contact with the surface of the endoscopic control accessory, forming the parylene coating on the endoscopic control accessory.
