Description

[0001] The invention relates to a reinforcement element according to the preamble of patent claim 1.

[0002] Such reinforcement elements are used for concrete barrier elements of a vehicle restraint system. Concrete barrier elements are precast concrete components that together form a vehicle restraint system designed to prevent vehicles from leaving the roadway or entering the oncoming lane. Such concrete barrier elements have a characteristic profile on at least one long side facing the roadway, which ensures that a vehicle approaching at an angle does not rebound, but is redirected in a direction parallel to the long side.

[0003] Concrete barrier elements typically have reinforcement made up of several individual elements. The specific form of reinforcement depends on the desired retention effect of the concrete barrier element, although for economic reasons, the goal is to use as little reinforcement material as possible.

[0004] The reinforcement typically includes at least longitudinal reinforcing bars, which are designed to reduce deflection or prevent the concrete barrier element from breaking in the event of an impact. The longitudinal reinforcing bars are often placed centrally. The longitudinal reinforcing bars are also often connected with stirrups to increase internal stability. To prevent spalling, especially in the head area of the concrete barrier elements, additional delicate steel mesh is often used.

[0005] US Pat. No. 5,651,635 A discloses a concrete barrier element with a bonded or welded reinforcement cage. The stirrups are arranged all the way around the perimeter and are bent to form the deflection profile.

[0006] FR 2 862 674 A1 discloses a prefabricated concrete barrier element. The reinforcement is provided by connecting longitudinal bars with stirrups, with the reinforcement profile being formed by two L-shaped stirrups and one U-shaped stirrup.

[0007] From EP 1 063 357 A1 a concrete barrier element with reinforcement having a U-profile is known.

[0008] From US 6 394 410 B1, an in-situ concrete barrier is known in which the longitudinal reinforcement and the stirrups are connected to each other.

[0009] The disadvantage is that such reinforcement for concrete barrier elements is very complex and labor-intensive to manufacture. Furthermore, the bonded reinforcement leads to fluctuations in the retention effect of the concrete barrier elements, as errors or deviations can occur during the bonding of the individual reinforcement elements, or individual reinforcement elements can shift during the concrete pouring process.

[0010] The object of the invention is therefore to provide a reinforcement element of the type mentioned at the outset, with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided, with which a concrete barrier element can be manufactured with less effort, and at the same time has a reliably high retention effect with increased process reliability in the manufacturing process.

[0011] According to the invention, this is achieved by the features of patent claim 1.

[0012] This results in the advantage that concrete barrier elements can be manufactured with less effort but greater reliability. The longitudinal reinforcement bars and stirrups are already shaped to match the deflection profile of the concrete barrier element to be manufactured, allowing very stable reinforcement to be positioned close to the relevant surfaces. This eliminates the need for a complex structure with delicate reinforcing steel mesh in exposed areas. A further advantage is that the previous overlaps of longitudinal reinforcement bars, stirrups, and reinforcement mesh are reduced to the overlap of the longitudinal reinforcement bars with the stirrups. The reinforcement layers in these overlapping areas are therefore significantly reduced. Furthermore, the reinforcement elements can be prefabricated in large quantities and subsequently delivered to the concrete plants, where the concrete barrier elements are then cast. This makes production much more economical, but also allows for tighter manufacturing tolerances.

[0013] Furthermore, the invention relates to a concrete barrier element according to claim 8.

[0014] Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for producing a concrete barrier element having a deflection profile on at least one longitudinal side according to patent claim 11.

[0015] The object of the invention is therefore further to provide a method with which the aforementioned disadvantages can be avoided, with which a concrete barrier element can be produced with less effort and at the same time has a reliably high retention effect.

[0016] According to the invention, this is achieved by the features of patent claim 11. [continued on page 3 of the original description]

[0017] The subclaims relate to further advantageous embodiments of the invention. Express reference is hereby made to the wording of the patent claims, whereby the claims are incorporated into the description at this point by reference and are deemed to be reproduced verbatim.

[0018] The invention will be described in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which only preferred embodiments are shown by way of example. In the drawings: Fig. 1 a concrete barrier element with a first preferred embodiment of the reinforcement elements not according to the invention in an axonometric view; Fig. 2 a concrete barrier element with a second preferred embodiment of the reinforcement elements according to the invention in an axonometric view; Fig. 3 a detail from Fig. 2 ; Fig. 4 the concrete barrier element made of Fig. 2 as an exploded view; and Fig. 5 a stack of reinforcement elements of the second preferred embodiment in an axonometric view.

[0019] The Fig. 1 bis 5 show at least parts of preferred embodiments of a reinforcement element 1 for a concrete barrier element 3 having a deflection profile on at least one longitudinal side 2. The reinforcement element 1 is intended for use in a concrete barrier element 3, which concrete barrier element 3 has at least one longitudinal side 2 with a deflection profile. The deflection profile is a profile characteristic of concrete barrier elements 3 of vehicle restraint systems, which ensures that a vehicle driving diagonally onto the longitudinal side 2 does not rebound, but is deflected in a direction of travel parallel to the longitudinal side 2.

[0020] It is provided that the reinforcement element 1 comprises longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and stirrups 5 extending transversely to the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and connected to the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4, preferably welded. The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 are intended to extend longitudinally in the concrete barrier element 3. The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 are connected to one another by stirrups 5. A two-dimensional, curved grid is preferably constructed by the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and the stirrups 5. The stirrups 5 can, in particular, extend perpendicular to the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4. Fig. 1, 2 and 4 only some of the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and stirrups 5 are provided with reference symbols.

[0021] Preferably, the reinforcement element 1 consists of the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and the stirrups 5.

[0022] It is further provided that the reinforcement element 1 has at least a first region 6, and that the first region 6 essentially has the deflection profile. The reinforcement element 1 can consist solely of the first region 6 or can comprise further regions 7, 9. The first region 6 is essentially shaped like the deflection profile of the concrete barrier element 3 to be produced. The first region 6 can in particular be designed essentially like the at least one longitudinal side 2 of the concrete barrier element 3. In this way, the first region 6 of the reinforcement element 1 can be arranged in the concrete body of the concrete barrier element 3 essentially following the course of the at least one longitudinal side 2 of the concrete barrier element 3.

[0023] This results in the advantage that concrete barrier elements 3 can be manufactured with less effort but greater reliability. The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and stirrups 5 are already shaped in such a way that they have the deflection profile of the concrete barrier element 3 to be manufactured, at least in some areas, whereby very stable reinforcement can be positioned close to the relevant surfaces. This eliminates the need for a complex structure with delicate structural steel mesh in exposed locations. A further advantage is that the previous overlaps of longitudinal reinforcement bars, stirrups and reinforcement mesh are reduced to the overlap of the longitudinal reinforcement bars with the stirrups. Furthermore, the reinforcement elements 1 can be prefabricated in large quantities and subsequently delivered to the concrete plants, where the concrete barrier elements 3 are then cast. This makes production much more economical, but also allows for tighter manufacturing tolerances.

[0024] The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 can in particular be straight.

[0025] The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 can in particular be made of reinforcing steel.

[0026] All longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 of a reinforcement element 1 can in particular be of the same design.

[0027] The stirrups 5 can preferably be designed as angled reinforcement bars, in particular with a predeterminable radius. In the first region 6, the stirrups can be designed to run in particular following the deflection profile.

[0028] The stirrups 5 can preferably be made of rigid reinforcing bars.

[0029] The stirrups 5 can in particular be made of reinforcing steel.

[0030] All stirrups 5 of a reinforcement element 1 can in particular be of the same design.

[0031] The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and the stirrups 5 can preferably be welded together.

[0032] Furthermore, a concrete barrier element 3 for a vehicle restraint system is provided, wherein the concrete barrier element 3 has the deflection profile on at least one longitudinal side 2, wherein the reinforcement element 1 is arranged close to the surface in the region of the at least one longitudinal side 2. The concrete barrier element 3 has a, in the Fig. 1 bis 4 The concrete body, shown transparently, in which the reinforcement element(s) 1 are arranged. The near-surface arrangement can mean, in particular, that the reinforcement element 1 is arranged at a maximum depth of 10 cm from the surface of the concrete body.

[0033] The concrete barrier element 3 can in particular have two longitudinal sides 2, two end faces 10, an upper side 8 and a base.

[0034] At least one of the long sides 2 has the deflection profile.

[0035] Preferably, both long sides 2 can have the deflection profile, as is exemplified in the preferred embodiments in Fig. 1 bis 4 is shown.

[0036] A length of the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 can in particular essentially correspond to a length of the concrete barrier element 3.

[0037] The brackets can preferably extend essentially from the base to at least essentially the upper side 8.

[0038] The concrete barrier element 3 can further comprise coupling devices (not shown in the figures) arranged on the front side for coupling several concrete barrier elements 3. The coupling devices on both end faces 10 can be connected in particular to the reinforcement elements 1 and / or additional tension bands.

[0039] Furthermore, a method is provided for producing the concrete barrier wall element 3 having the deflection profile on at least one longitudinal side 2, wherein the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and the stirrups 5 running transversely to the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 are connected together to form the reinforcement element 1, wherein the reinforcement element 1 has at least one first region 6, wherein the first region 6 essentially has the deflection profile, wherein at least one of the reinforcement elements 1 is introduced into a casting mold such that the at least one reinforcement element 1 is arranged close to the surface in the region of the at least one longitudinal side 2 in the finished concrete barrier wall element 3, wherein the casting mold is filled with concrete to form the concrete barrier wall element 3.

[0040] The longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and the stirrups 5 are preferably connected by welding.

[0041] In particular, the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 and the stirrups 5 can be welded together, and the stirrups 5 can then be bent into the shape of the deflection profile.

[0042] Alternatively, the stirrups 5 can first be bent and then welded to the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4.

[0043] Preferably, the reinforcement elements 1 can be manufactured at least partially, preferably completely, by machine. In particular, the bending of the stirrups 5 and the welding can be carried out in one system. Alternatively, the reinforcement elements 1 can be implemented using a combination of machine and manual welding.

[0044] It is intended that the deflector profile is a New Jersey profile or a step profile. In the preferred embodiments in Fig. 1 bis 4 The deflector profile is the New Jersey profile. The New Jersey profile has a ramp near the base, which transitions into a steeper deflector surface. The New Jersey profile is a deflector profile very commonly used in concrete barrier elements 3. The Step profile has two parallel sections, which are offset from each other by a small step. In particular, the stirrups 5 in the first section 6 can be designed to follow the course of the New Jersey profile or Step profile.

[0045] Preferably, it can be provided that the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 have a different diameter than the stirrups 5. In particular, it can be provided that all longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 have a first diameter, that all stirrups 5 have a second diameter, and that the first diameter is not equal to the second diameter. In this case, the first diameter and the second diameter can be selected such that the diameters are adapted to the retention requirements, and the weakening at the bending points of the stirrups 5 can be compensated.

[0046] Furthermore, it can be provided that a distance between the stirrups 5 is variable, and in particular is smaller in a region of the ends of the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 than in a central region of the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4. As a result, more reinforcement material is arranged near the end faces 10, where the risk of damage and spalling is higher.

[0047] In particular, it can be provided that the spacing of the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 from one another is variable, and in particular, is smaller in the edge regions of the deflector profile than in a central region of the deflector profile. As a result, more reinforcement material is arranged near the upper side 8 arranged at the edges of the deflector profile and the base, where the risk of damage and spalling is higher.

[0048] Furthermore, it can be provided that a distance between the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 to one another is smaller in an area of the ends of the stirrups 5 than in a central area of the stirrups 5. This allows for stronger reinforcement to be achieved at the free ends of the stirrups, where loads can be greater.

[0049] Furthermore, it can be provided that a distance between the longitudinal reinforcement bars 4 is variable and, in particular, is smaller at the edges of the first area 6 than in the middle of the first area 6. As a result, there is more reinforcement material near the base and the upper side 8, where the risk of damage and spalling is higher.

[0050] It is intended that the reinforcement element 1 is flat. Here, the reinforcement element 1 is essentially shaped like a curved surface. This results in the advantage that the reinforcement elements 1 can be easily stacked and thus transported in a space-saving manner. A stack of reinforcement elements 1 of the second preferred embodiment is shown in Fig. 5 shown as an example.

[0051] It can be provided that the reinforcement of the concrete barrier element 3, formed from at least one reinforcement element 1, is open at the front side 10. It can be provided that the reinforcement element 1 consists only of the first region 6.

[0052] Furthermore, it can be provided that a second region 7 adjoins the first region 6, that the second region 7 is angled relative to the first region 6, and that it is provided to be arranged on an upper side 8 of the concrete barrier element 3. The second region 7 can extend at least over half the width of the upper side 8. This also allows the upper side 8 to be reinforced.

[0053] In an embodiment not according to the invention, it can be provided that on a side of the second region 7 facing away from the first region 6, a third region 9 adjoins the second region 7, and that the third region 9 essentially has the deflection profile. The first region 6, the second region 7 and the third region 9 essentially form the profile of the two long sides 2 together with the top side 8 of the concrete barrier wall element 3 to be produced. In the case of the concrete barrier wall element 3, it can be provided that the concrete barrier wall element 3 has two long sides 2 having a deflection profile, and that a single reinforcement element 1 is arranged on both long sides 2. In particular, it can be provided that the concrete barrier wall element 3 has only a single reinforcement element 1.As a result, reinforcement of all exposed surfaces of a concrete barrier element 3 can be achieved using essentially a single prefabricated reinforcement element 1. Such a concrete barrier element 3 is shown as an example in . Fig. 1 shown.

[0054] Alternatively, it can be provided that in a reinforcement element 1 consisting of several areas 6,7, only the first area 6 has the deflection profile.

[0055] Preferably, it can be provided that the reinforcement element 1 has only the first region 6 and the second region 7.

[0056] In particular, it can be provided that the concrete barrier element 3 has two longitudinal sides 2 having a deflection profile, and that a reinforcement element 1 is arranged on each of the two longitudinal sides 2.

[0057] The concrete barrier element 3 can preferably comprise two, in particular substantially identically designed, reinforcement elements 1, wherein particularly preferably one of the reinforcement elements 1 is arranged on one of the longitudinal sides 2. This multi-part construction of the reinforcement can simplify the handling of the reinforcement elements 1. Furthermore, stackability is improved. In addition, such reinforcement elements 1 can also be used for concrete barrier elements 3 that have only one longitudinal side 2 with the deflection profile. Reinforcement elements 1 designed in this way are shown, for example, in Fig. 2 bis 5 shown, where in Fig. 2 both reinforcement elements 1 are shown joined together, while in Fig. 4 one reinforcement element 1 is shown inside the concrete body and the other reinforcement element 1 is shown outside the concrete body.

[0058] Preferably, the two reinforcement elements 1 are adjacent to one another, in particular overlapping, in the region of an upper side 8 of the concrete barrier element 3. This allows both reinforcement elements 1 to be easily connected to one another in the region of the upper side 8. The stirrups 5 of the two reinforcement elements 1 can be slightly offset from one another such that they are arranged next to one another in the second area 7.
