Description

[0001] The present invention relates to an arrangement of a door or window handle in a receiving opening of a window frame, door leaf or the like according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0002] A generic arrangement is known, for example, from DE 20 2015 101 329 U1. In this arrangement, a handle neck of a door or window handle is attached to a retaining element, which in turn is attached to a window frame, door leaf, or the like formed as a hollow profile.

[0003] The holding element has a base body and a receiving body rotatably mounted on the base body with a bearing opening for receiving and supporting a polygon fixed in the handle holder of the door or window handle and protruding therefrom, as well as at least one radial clamping element movable out of the base body of the holding element.

[0004] This makes it possible to insert the holding element into a receiving opening from a visible side of the window or door frame and then to extend the clamping elements radially to a base body of the holding element into a cavity on the inside of the frame profile facing away from the visible side and thus to secure the holding element against axial withdrawal from the receiving opening in the window frame, the door leaf or the like.

[0005] What has proven problematic with this arrangement is that the fastening of a door or window handle with such a holding element is only suitable for door or window frames designed as a hollow profile.

[0006] EP 2 476 823 A2 discloses a generic arrangement comprising an elongated stop body for securing the door or window handle to a window sash, which is fixed to the window sash at its upper and lower ends by screws. On the rear side of the stop body, a cylindrical receptacle is provided for receiving a sliding body which is displaceable in the receptacle axially relative to the rotational axis of the door or window handle and which is secured against rotation by two pins pressed into bores in a lateral surface of the sliding body, which extend into elongated holes in the cylindrical receptacle extending axially relative to the rotational axis of the door or window handle.

[0007] The object of the present invention is to provide an arrangement of a door or window handle in a receiving opening of a window frame, door frame or the like, with which a fastening of a door or window handle is also possible in solid profiles.

[0008] This object is achieved by an arrangement having the features of claim 1.

[0009] In the arrangement according to the invention of a door or window handle in a receiving opening of a window frame, a door leaf or the like, a handle neck of the door or window handle is fastened to a holding element.

[0010] The holding element has a base body, a receiving body rotatably mounted in the base body with a bearing opening for receiving and supporting a polygon fixed in the handle neck of the door or window handle and protruding therefrom.

[0011] An adapter that holds the holding element is fixed in the receiving opening.

[0012] The adapter has a casing with at least one recess, a base extending from an inner surface of the casing with a polygonal receptacle and at least two bores.

[0013] The holding element has at least one clamping element that can be moved radially out of the base body of the holding element.

[0014] In this case, the at least one clamping element of the holding element is movable from the assembly position, in which the clamping element lies in a recess of a lateral surface of the base body, into a working position, in which the clamping element protrudes radially outwards from the recess of the lateral surface of the base body into the recess in the jacket of the adapter.

[0015] The arrangement of the door or window handle according to the invention is characterized by the simple installation and fixing possibility of the door or window handle in the receiving opening of a window frame, door leaf or the like made of solid material.

[0016] With the aid of the adapter, it is possible in a simple manner to extend the clamping elements, which can be moved radially out of the base body of the holding element, into the recesses of the adapter, so that after penetration of a receiving opening suitable for receiving the adapter in the window frame, the door leaf or the like, an axial fixing of the holding element is possible.

[0017] Advantageous embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims.

[0018] According to an advantageous embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention, the casing 2 has such recesses which are introduced on opposite sides of the casing, which causes a uniform loading of the casing when a tensile force is exerted in the longitudinal direction of the polygon.

[0019] According to a further advantageous embodiment, the casing has at least one groove for receiving a raised portion projecting radially outward from the base body of the retaining element, which serves to secure the retaining element against rotation in the adapter.

[0020] The jacket is preferably designed as a cylindrical jacket.

[0021] According to a further embodiment, the base of the casing is star-shaped, with arms extending radially from the polygonal receptacle to the casing, in which the holes are arranged.

[0022] According to a further embodiment, the base of the casing is circular, with pins extending from a rear side of the base facing away from the holding element.

[0023] This enables, in particular, a rotational locking of the adapter relative to a contoured contact surface of the receiving opening according to a preferred embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention.

[0024] According to a preferred embodiment of the arrangement according to the invention, an elevation is formed on an outer surface of the polygon to limit the insertion depth of the polygon into the window frame, the door leaf or the like.

[0025] When the door or window handle is mounted, the elevation rests against a housing wall of a locking unit facing the door or window handle, into which the polygon is inserted.

[0026] This allows for extremely easy installation of the door handle and especially the polygon.

[0027] Preferred embodiments of the invention are described below, with the drawings explaining them in more detail. They show: Figure 1 is a perspective exploded view of an embodiment of an arrangement according to the invention, Figure 2 is a sectional view of the arrangement with a door or window handle mounted on the window frame, the door leaf or the like, Figure 3 is a Figure 2 External enlargement designated III to show the elevation provided on the outer surface of the polygon, Figure 4 a perspective view of a variant of the adapter, Figures 5a, b perspective views of an alternative variant of an adapter according to the invention, Figure 6 a perspective view of the polygon, Figure 7 a front view of the polygon from Figure 5 and Figure 8 a sectional view along a section line VII-VII through the Figure 6 polygon shown.

[0028] In the following description of the figures, terms such as top, bottom, left, right, front, rear, etc., refer exclusively to the exemplary representation and position of the adapter, the retaining element, the door or window handle, the casing, the base body, the clamping element, and the like chosen in the respective figures. These terms are not to be understood as limiting; i.e., these references may change due to different operating positions or the mirror-symmetrical design, or the like.

[0029] In Figure 1 the reference number 1 designates a section of a door or window frame into which a door or window handle 2 with a handle neck 21 with a handle part 22 is fixed by means of a holding element 5.

[0030] The holding element 5 is preferably designed as in the own DE 20 2015 101 329 U1, for the functional description of which reference is hereby expressly made.

[0031] How Figure 1 As can also be seen, the door or window frame 1 has a receiving opening 8 for receiving an adapter 3.

[0032] A first version of such an adapter is in Figure 4 A second version of such an adapter is shown in the Figures 5a and 5b shown. What both variants have in common is that the adapter 3 has a cylindrical shell 31 and a base 36 extending from the inner surface of the shell.

[0033] Other shell shapes are also conceivable, for example, as a polygon. The base is provided with a polygonal receptacle 34 and at least two holes 33.

[0034] The holes 33 serve to accommodate screws 9 for fixing the adapter 3 to the window or door frame 1. The polygonal receptacle 34 arranged centrally here serves to guide a polygon 4, designed here as a square bar, which extends from a cavity in the interior of the handle neck 22 through the holding element 5 into a gear or a locking unit 11 in the window or door frame 1.

[0035] A cover rosette 6 is provided to cover the retaining element 5 from the visible side of the door or window frame 1. The door or window handle 2 is fixed to the retaining element 5 via a fixing screw 7, which extends through a receptacle 23 in a circumferential surface of the handle neck 2 into a receptacle 53 in a receiving body 52 of the retaining element 5, in which the polygon 4 is received.

[0036] As in the Figures 1 , 4, 5a and 5bAs shown, the casing 31 has two recesses 32 which serve to receive clamping elements 54 which can be moved radially out of a base body 51 of the holding element 5 and are in particular pivotably held on the base body 51.

[0037] It is also conceivable to provide only one such clamping element 54 on the holding element 5 and accordingly to provide only one such recess 32 in the casing 31 of the adapter 3.

[0038] The recesses 32 are designed as through holes here. It is also conceivable to keep the outer surface of the casing 31 closed and to design the recesses 32 as blind holes.

[0039] The recesses 32 are preferably provided on opposite inner surfaces of the casing 31.

[0040] In order to fix the holding element 5 in rotation relative to the adapter 3, two grooves 35 are preferably provided in the inner surface of the casing 31, which grooves serve to receive elevations projecting radially outward from the base body 51 of the holding element 5.

[0041] As in Figure 4 As further shown, the base 36 of this embodiment of the adapter 3 is star-shaped. Arms extend radially from the polygonal receptacle 34 toward the casing 31, in which the bores 33 are arranged.

[0042] In addition to the four-armed star-shaped design of the base 36 shown here, it is also conceivable to provide, for example, only two, three or more than four such arms.

[0043] In the Figures 5a and 5bIn the embodiment shown, the base 36 is designed as a circular plate with corresponding bores 33 and a centrally arranged polygonal receptacle 34. On a rear side of the base 36 facing away from the holding element 5, pins 37 extending preferably perpendicular to the plane of the base are arranged, in particular integrally formed.

[0044] The adapter 3 is preferably designed as an injection-molded part.

[0045] To mount the door or window handle 2 on the door or window leaf 1, the adapter 3 is first inserted into the receiving opening 8 of the door or window leaf 1 and fixed using the screws 9.

[0046] For additional anti-twist protection of the Figure 4In the embodiment variant of the adapter 3 shown relative to the door or window leaf 1, the receiving opening 8 has a contoured contact surface 82 which is shaped in accordance with the star-shaped design of the base 36 of the adapter, so that the base 36 is positively fixed in the receiving opening 8 in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the polygon 4, in which the polygon 4 is rotated when the door handle 2 is actuated.

[0047] For additional anti-twist protection of the Figures 5a and 5b In the embodiment variant of the adapter 3 shown relative to the door or window leaf 1, corresponding recesses for receiving the pins 37 are provided in the receiving opening 8, so that the base 36 is also positively fixed in the receiving opening 8 in this embodiment variant in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal extent of the polygon 4, in which the polygon 4 is rotated when the door handle 2 is actuated.

[0048] The polygon 4 is then pushed through the polygon receptacle 34 of the adapter into the door or window frame 1 into the locking unit 10, as shown in the Figures 2 and 3 is shown.

[0049] In order to prevent the polygon 4 from being pushed forward beyond the target position, a Figures 6 to 8 In the preferred embodiment shown, a raised portion 44 is formed on an outer surface of the polygon to limit the insertion depth of the polygon.

[0050] The elevation can be introduced, for example, by a deformation, in particular in the form of a material displacement, of an outer edge of the base body 41 of the polygon 4, which is preferably square in cross section.

[0051] In the assembled state of the door or window handle 2, the elevation 44 rests against a housing wall of the locking unit 11 facing the door or window handle 2, into which the polygon 4 is inserted.

[0052] The polygon 4 is preferably provided as a hollow profile with a longitudinal bore 45 with an internal thread into which a locking screw 43 can be inserted. At the end of the polygon 4 inserted into the clamping unit 11, a longitudinal slot 42 extending in the direction of the longitudinal extent of the polygon is preferably provided.

[0053] By inserting the screw 43 into the cavity 45 of the polygon 4, the end of the polygon 4 provided with the longitudinal slot 42 is slightly spread open and thereby the polygon 4 is held clamped in the closing unit 11.

[0054] The holding element 5 is then placed onto the polygon 4.

[0055] The cover rosette 6 is then pushed onto the handle neck 22 of the door or window handle 2 and finally the door or window handle 2 is pushed with its handle neck 22 onto the receiving body 52 which is rotatably mounted in the base body 51 of the holding element 5 and fixed with the locking screw 7.
