[0001] The invention relates to a piece of furniture according to the preamble of claim 1.

8. Furniture according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the seat part (14) lies between two closed side panels (21, 22).

9. Furniture according to one of Claims 1 to 8, characterized in that at least one leg rest (36) is provided on the seat part (14), which is adjustable from a rest position below the seat part (14) to a usage position in front of the seat part (14).

10. Furniture according to Claim 9, characterized in that the leg rest (36) is slidable along a guide (38, 39) on the seat part (14) with at least one carriage (37).

11. Furniture according to Claim 10, characterized in that the guide (38, 39) is formed by opposing frame sides of the frame (34) of the seat part (14).

Furniture according to one of Claims 1 to 11, characterized in that the distance between the pivot axes (8, 15) of the back part (7) and the seat part (14) and the length ratios of the connecting part (12) and the connecting parts (13, 16) are coordinated such that the weight forces of the furniture user and the adjustment forces of back part (7) and seat part (14) are at least approximately in equilibrium.
