Description

Technical area

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a system comprising an extracorporeal blood treatment machine, in particular a dialysis machine, with a blood treatment device, in particular a filter cartridge (dialyzer), a conveying device for conveying blood through the blood treatment device, and a connection mask, and a tubing set adapted to the extracorporeal blood treatment machine. The connection mask is designed to replaceably accommodate the adapted tubing set in a predetermined arrangement on the blood treatment machine. The tubing set has at least one blood supply line for supplying blood to the blood treatment unit, a blood return line for returning treated blood from the treatment unit, and at least two transmission lines. The transmission lines each branch off from the blood supply line or the blood return line and can be connected to pressure transducer connections arranged on the blood treatment machine in order to transmit a pressure from the branches to the corresponding pressure transducer connection. State of the art

[0002] The blood tubing on extracorporeal treatment machines, such as dialysis machines, must be pressure-monitored. This allows the prevailing pressures to be adjusted within a physiologically compatible range and allows for rapid action in the event of critical pressure conditions. For this purpose, branches are provided on the blood tubing, which are connected to the machine-side pressure transducer connections via thin tubes (pressure monitoring lines or pressure transmission lines). Such a pressure monitoring line can be connected to the tubing via a T-piece, for example. An air cushion then exists between a column of fluid in the pressure monitoring / pressure measuring line and the pressure transducer. This air cushion changes when the pressure in the tubing changes (expands or is compressed), which in turn leads to a deflection of the pressure transducer.

[0003] Typically, for example, a dialysis machine has a pressure transducer port for monitoring the negative arterial pressure (PA) and a pressure transducer port for monitoring the venous pressure (PV).

[0004] The pressure transducer connections are typically located close together and in an upper area of the machine (above internal fluid systems and near the remaining electronic components). The hose lengths of the pressure monitoring lines in conventional systems or hose sets are usually significantly longer. This means that the pressure monitoring lines can be connected to the wrong pressure transducer connection on the machine during assembly or replacement of a hose set. To prevent such confusion, the pressure transducer connections are currently labeled.

[0005] In the best case scenario, such a mix-up is detected by the blood treatment machine during a self-test, which then triggers an alarm. This requires operating personnel to come and correct the error by manually reconnecting the connectors.

[0006] Systems comprising an extracorporeal blood treatment machine and a tubing set are known, for example, from EP 3 061 473 A1, JP S61 113461 A, and US 5 895 571 A. US 2015 / 0367062 A1 discloses a tubing set. Brief description of the revelation

[0007] The object of the present invention is therefore to provide an extracorporeal blood treatment machine with simpler operation and simpler assembly of an exchangeable tube set.

[0008] This problem is solved by the features of independent claim 1. Advantageous further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.

[0009] According to the disclosure, an extracorporeal blood treatment machine is provided with a blood treatment device for treating a patient's blood, a conveying device for conveying blood through the blood treatment device via an extracorporeal blood circuit, and a connection mask (interface) for the extracorporeal blood circuit. The connection mask is designed to interchangeably accommodate an adapted tubing set in a predetermined arrangement on the blood treatment machine. The tubing set has at least one blood supply line (arterial tubing section) for supplying blood to the blood treatment unit and a blood return line (venous tubing section) for returning treated blood from the treatment unit. Thus, the tubing set defines the extracorporeal blood circuit. The tubing set also has at least two pressure monitoring lines. The pressure monitoring lines each branch off the blood supply line or the blood return line at a branch. They are also connectable to pressure transducer connections located on the machine side of the connection mask and are adapted to transmit pressure from a section of the tubing set via the branches to the corresponding pressure transducer connection. The pressure transducer connections are spaced (sufficiently far) apart and their positioning on the extracorporeal blood treatment machine is coordinated with the tubing set such that, when the tubing set is mounted in the predetermined arrangement specified by the connection mask, each of the pressure monitoring lines can be connected exclusively to one of the pressure transducer connections due to its limited length and the predetermined arrangement of the associated branch on the blood treatment machine. In other words, in a blood treatment machine, the distance between two pressure transducer ports (connectors) on the front of the machine is selected to produce a specific effect when the tubing set is mounted on the connection mask in the predetermined arrangement. The distance is selected so that the radius resulting from the corresponding branch between the beginning and end of the pressure monitoring line only allows connection to the desired pressure transducer port.

[0010] In this way, a poka-yoke system for the pressure transducer connections can be implemented, simplifying machine operation and reducing assembly times for attaching the tubing set. The connection mask described above is formed, for example, by the delivery device and the blood treatment device. These define the position and orientation of tubing set sections and sections of the extracorporeal blood circuit, respectively. The connection mask can also include other components, such as sensors, occlusion clamps, holders for air traps, and the like.

[0011] Preferably, the blood treatment machine may be a dialysis machine and the blood treatment device may be a dialyzer filter cartridge, hemofiltration cartridge or the like.

[0012] According to a preferred aspect, the connection mask can have three pressure transducer connections arranged on the blood treatment machine according to the poka-yoke system described above. Particularly preferably, the blood treatment machine can have an arterial pressure transducer connection, a venous pressure transducer connection, and a dialyzer inlet-side pressure transducer connection.

[0013] According to a preferred development of this embodiment, the three pressure sensor connections can be arranged in a triangular pattern at a distance from one another on the connection mask. The edge lengths of the triangle thus formed (the distance between each pressure sensor connection and the other two pressure sensor connections) can preferably be selected such that they are greater than the hose length of the longest of the three pressure monitoring lines of the hose set. These edge lengths / distances can preferably be selected in a range of 10 to 100 cm, more preferably between 20 and 50 cm (e.g., 30 cm). The triangular arrangement enables effective utilization of the limited available space.

[0014] According to a preferred embodiment of the disclosure, one of the pressure sensor connections on the connection mask can be arranged lower than the at least one other pressure sensor connection, as seen in the vertical direction of the blood treatment machine. In particular, the pressure sensor connection can be positioned at a distance greater than or equal to the length of the associated pressure monitoring line, preferably by a distance in a range between 20 and 70 cm.

[0015] According to a preferred embodiment, one of the pressure transducer connections can be arranged lower than the conveying device, viewed in the vertical direction of the blood treatment machine. In particular, the arterial pressure transducer connection can be arranged in a region near an inlet / inlet of the conveying device. A distance of less than 30 cm, particularly preferably less than 15 cm, from the inlet of the conveying device is preferred.

[0016] Preferably, the dialyzer inlet-side pressure sensor connection can be arranged in a region close to an outlet of the conveying device. A distance of less than 30 cm, particularly preferably less than 15 cm, from the outlet of the conveying device is preferred.

[0017] Preferably, the venous pressure sensor connection can be arranged in a region above a holder for a vent (an air trap) of the connection mask. Preferably, the distance to the outlet of the delivery device is less than 30 cm, particularly preferably less than 15 cm.

[0018] In a preferred embodiment of the disclosure, the conveying device is a hose pump (also called a hose squeeze pump, roller pump, or peristaltic pump).

[0019] Further preferably, the (all) pressure sensor connections are designed as, preferably identical, connectors, in particular Luer-Lock connectors, which are preferably configured to be connected to connectors provided on the pressure monitoring lines, in particular Luer-Lock connectors. Further preferably, the pressure sensor connections are designed as housing feedthroughs with a Luer-Lock connector on the outside of the housing.

[0020] A further aspect of the disclosure relates to a tubing set for use with an extracorporeal blood treatment machine, in particular according to one of the aforementioned aspects, which tubing set is detachable / replaceable and attachable in a predetermined arrangement to a connection mask of the blood treatment machine. The tubing set has at least one blood supply line for supplying blood to a blood treatment unit, a blood return line for returning treated blood from the treatment unit, a pump section adapted and provided to be inserted into and interact with a conveying device of the extracorporeal blood treatment machine, and at least two pressure monitoring lines, each branching off from the blood supply line or the blood return line at a branch and connectable to pressure transducer connections arranged on the blood treatment machine in order to transmit a pressure from the branches to a pressure transducer connection. The length of the pressure monitoring lines and the positioning of the branches (in the longitudinal direction of the blood supply line and the blood return line) are adapted such that the pressure monitoring lines, when the tubing set is attached to the connection mask in the predetermined arrangement, only allow the establishment of a connection to a predetermined pressure transducer connection from the number of pressure transducer connections.

[0021] In this way, a poka-yoke system for the pressure monitoring lines can be implemented, which simplifies the operation of the machine and reduces assembly times for attaching the hose set.

[0022] According to a preferred embodiment of the disclosure, each of the pressure monitoring lines can have an identical connector, in particular a Luer-Lock connector, at its end facing away from the tubing set for connection to the predetermined pressure transducer connection. Since confusion is already eliminated by the adapted tubing lengths, the pressure transducer connections can be kept identical to simplify manufacturing.

[0023] According to a further preferred aspect, the pump section can be formed in the blood supply line and the blood supply line can have an arterial branch upstream of the pump section in the conveying direction, from which an arterial pressure monitoring line branches off, which can be connected to an arterial pressure sensor connection of the dialysis machine.

[0024] According to a further preferred aspect, the dialyzer inlet-side branch can be arranged between the pump section and a connector for connecting the blood supply line to an inlet of the dialyzer.

[0025] According to a further preferred aspect, the blood return line can have a venous branch arranged between a connector for connection to an outlet of the dialyzer and an air trap, from which a venous pressure monitoring line branches off, which can be connected to a venous pressure sensor connection of the dialysis machine.

[0026] According to a preferred embodiment, at least one of the branches can be inserted as a separate branching element in a hose section, i.e., it does not branch off from a vent or a similar component. In particular, all branches can be inserted as such a separate branching element in a hose section. This allows for a more flexible arrangement of the branches.

[0027] Preferably, all pressure monitoring hoses can be designed with a hose length of less than 100 cm. Particularly preferably, pressure monitoring hoses can be designed with a length range between 10 and 50 cm.

[0028] According to a preferred embodiment of the disclosure, at least one of the branches can be designed as a (separate) branch element with an oscillating pressure membrane ("pressure oscillating diaphragm" or POD for short). A POD is a branch element that fluidically seals the branch by means of a membrane or separates it from the extracorporeal blood circuit, but allows pressure transmission via the flexibility of the membrane. In particular, all branches can be designed as branch elements with such PODs.

[0029] According to a further aspect of the disclosure, which may be claimed independently, the at least one branch can branch off at a predetermined angle, in particular an angle between 45° and 90°, relative to the associated hose section of the blood supply line or the blood return line. This can preferably be designed such that, when the hose set is mounted on the connection mask in the predetermined arrangement, the branch is oriented substantially in the direction of the associated pressure transducer connection on the blood treatment machine. The associated pressure transducer connection can preferably be located within an angular range / cone of ±90°, preferably ±45°, particularly preferably ±15°, viewed from the branching direction of the branch. In this way, the orientation of the branch for the pressure monitoring lines can already assist the user in correctly connecting them to the pressure transducer connections.

[0030] According to a further preferred aspect, the (all) pressure monitoring lines have, at their end facing away from the branch, preferably identical connections or connectors, in particular Luer-Lock connectors, which are preferably designed or prepared to be connected to the pressure sensor connections.

[0031] The invention relates to a system comprising an extracorporeal blood treatment machine and a tubing set, which are coordinated with one another according to one or more of the aspects described above for the individual components.

[0032] In particular, the invention relates to a system comprising an extracorporeal blood treatment machine, in particular as described above, and a hose set that can be detachably or replaceably attached to the blood treatment machine in a predetermined arrangement, in particular as described above, wherein the extracorporeal blood treatment machine, in particular a dialysis machine, contains a blood treatment device, in particular a dialyzer filter cartridge, a conveying device for conveying blood through the blood treatment device, and a connection mask on which pressure sensor connections are arranged, wherein the hose set comprises at least one blood supply line for supplying blood to the blood treatment device, a blood return line for returning treated blood from the blood treatment device, a pump section that is adapted and intended to be inserted into the conveying device of the extracorporeal blood treatment machine, and at least two pressure monitoring lines, each branching off from the blood supply line or the blood return line at a branch, wherein the pressure monitoring lines are connectable to the pressure transducer connections in order to transmit a pressure from the branches to the corresponding pressure transducer connection, and wherein the pressure transducer connections are spaced apart from one another and their positioning on the extracorporeal blood treatment machine is coordinated with the tubing set, and the length of the pressure monitoring lines and the positioning of the branches are adapted such that, when the tubing set is mounted in the predetermined arrangement on the connection mask, each pressure monitoring line can be connected exclusively to one of the pressure transducer connections due to its limited length and the predetermined arrangement of the associated branch on the blood treatment machine.

[0033] According to one aspect of such a system, the pressure monitoring hose lengths and the position of the branches in the hose set assembly attached to the connection mask can be selected such that the pressure monitoring hose just reaches the predetermined pressure sensor connection plus a certain excess length that allows for better handling. This excess length can preferably be less than 20 cm, in particular less than 10 cm, and most preferably less than 5 cm. Short description of the characters

[0034] The present disclosure is described below with reference to a preferred embodiment illustrated in the figures. Fig. 1 is a diagram illustrating a system configuration according to a first embodiment of the present disclosure; Fig. 2is a diagram illustrating the system structure according to the first embodiment with the radii of the pressure monitoring lines indicated; Fig. 3 is a sectional view of a first oscillating pressure diaphragm port (POD); Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the first oscillating pressure diaphragm port (POD); Fig. 5 is a schematic view of a second oscillating pressure diaphragm port (POD) in the installed state; Fig. 6 is a schematic view of the second oscillating pressure diaphragm port (POD); Fig.7 is a perspective view of a third oscillating pressure diaphragm port (POD); Fig. 8 is an illustration of an exemplary hose set according to the present disclosure; and Fig. 9 shows a connection mask of a state-of-the-art dialysis machine with a tubing set attached.

[0035] Fig. 1shows schematically a dialysis machine 1 according to a preferred embodiment of the disclosure in a front view. The dialysis machine 1 has at its Fig. 1The housing front shown contains a blood treatment device 2 (here a dialyzer), which is held in a predetermined position and orientation in an exchangeable manner by a holder 3 (here a dialyzer holder). Additionally provided on the housing front is a conveying device 4 or a hose pump / peristaltic pump, which is designed to pump blood through the dialyzer 2 via an extracorporeal blood circuit. Said extracorporeal blood circuit is formed by a hose set 8 (disposable article) which is held exchangeably on a connection mask / connection structure 6 of the dialysis machine. The connection mask 6 is formed by various components on the housing front of the dialysis machine 1, which are specifically adapted to the hose set 8 and by means of which the hose set 8 can be detachably attached to the housing front in a defined manner, so that it can be connected to or disconnected from the conveying device 4 and the dialyzer 2.can be operatively connected. The delivery device 4 (peristaltic pump) can be regarded as part of the connection mask 6, since when the hose set 8 is inserted, the position of a pump section 5 of the hose set 8 is determined. The pump section 5 is a reinforced hose section that is designed for the alternating load from the delivery device 4. Further components of the connection mask 6 include the (dialyzer) holder 3, a vent holder 7, various sensors 9 (e.g. temperature sensor, hematocrit sensor, air detector or the like), an arterial hose clamp 10 and a venous hose clamp 11. All of these components, which are summarized under the term connection mask 6, have in common that sections of the hose set 8 are connected to it or inserted into it for operation, whereby the components form a characteristic arrangement of the hose set 8 orspecify the course of the extracorporeal blood circulation on the dialysis machine.

[0036] In summary, the hose set 8 in the Fig. 1 In the preferred embodiment shown, together with a blood chamber of the dialyzer 2 (not shown in detail), it forms an extracorporeal blood circuit through which blood can be circulated by means of the conveying device 4. The tubing set 8 and the dialyzer 2 are attached to the connection mask 6 of the dialysis machine 1, which predetermines a predetermined arrangement on the dialysis machine 1. Due to the direct blood contact that occurs during treatment, the tubing set 8 and the dialyzer 2 are designed as replaceable disposable items, while the connection mask components such as the conveying device 4 are permanently installed in the front of the housing.

[0037] Figure 1shows the tubing set 8 according to the preferred embodiment, as it is mounted in the predetermined arrangement on the connection mask 6 of the dialysis machine 1. The tubing set 8 can be roughly divided into a blood supply line 8a (or arterial tubing section) for supplying blood from a patient to the dialyzer 2 and a blood return line 8b (or venous tubing section) for returning treated blood from the treatment unit 2 to the patient. Fig. 1 The hose set 8 shown further comprises an inlet connector 12a for connecting the blood supply line 8a to an inlet of the blood chamber of the dialyzer 2, an outlet connector 12b for connecting the blood return line 8b to an outlet of the blood chamber of the dialyzer 2, and an air trap or vent 13 arranged in the blood return line 8b for filtering out air bubbles from the returning blood.

[0038] To ensure patient safety and optimal operating parameters, the blood-carrying lines of the tubing set 8 must be pressure-monitored. For this purpose, pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 branch off from the blood supply line 8a and the blood return line 8b at defined branches 20, 22, 24. These pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 are connected to machine-side pressure transducer ports 26, 28, 30, to which pressure transducers or pressure sensors located within the dialysis machine (not shown in detail) are connected. In the preferred embodiment, the pressure transducer ports 26, 28, 30 are designed as housing feedthroughs with a Luer-Lock connector on the outside of the housing.

[0039] In detail, the Figure 1In the arrangement shown, the blood supply line 8a has an arterial branch 20 upstream of the conveying device 4 in the conveying direction (in normal operation), from which an arterial pressure monitoring line 14 branches off, which is connected to an arterial pressure sensor connection 26 of the dialysis machine 1 and monitors the negative pressure (PA) at the hose section facing the arterial patient access.

[0040] Furthermore, Figure 1 The blood supply line 8a between the delivery device 4 and the inlet connector 12a has a dialyzer inlet-side branch 24 for connection to the inlet of the dialyzer 2. A dialyzer inlet-side pressure monitoring line 18 branches off from the dialyzer inlet-side branch 24. This line is connected to a dialyzer inlet-side pressure sensor connection 30 of the dialysis machine 1 and monitors the pressure at the dialyzer inlet (PBE).

[0041] The blood return line has Figure 1 a venous branch 22, from which a venous pressure monitoring line 16 branches off, which is connected to a venous pressure sensor connection 28 of the dialysis machine 1 and monitors the pressure (PV) at the venous patient access. In the illustrated embodiment, the venous branch 22 is arranged between the outlet connector 12b for connecting the blood return line 8b to an outlet of the blood chamber of the dialyzer 2 and the vent 13.

[0042] In the Figure 91 shows, by way of example, a section of the front of a dialysis machine 1', as is known from the prior art. The dialysis machine 1' has largely similar components to the dialysis machine 1 described above according to the preferred embodiment. In the prior art, the pressure monitoring line 14', 16', 18' is connected to the hose 8a', 8b', for example, via a T-piece or leads directly from the vent 13' or comparable components with a stagnant air volume. Between the pressure monitoring line 14', 16', 18' and the pressure sensor there is then an air cushion which changes in volume when the pressure in the hose 8a', 8b' changes, which in turn leads to a deflection of the pressure sensor. One of the disadvantages of this type of pressure measurement method is that the pressure sensor connection 26', 28', 30' must always be located above the branch 20', 22', 24' (an air column must be present between the branch and the pressure sensor). Otherwise, there is a risk of direct contact between the pressure sensor / pressure transducer and the fluid.

[0043] As in Fig. 9 As can be clearly seen, the pressure transducer connections 26', 28', 30' are located close to each other in an upper area of the connection mask 6. This is due, on the one hand, to the fact that the pressure transducer connections 26', 28', 30', as explained above, must be placed above the corresponding branches 20', 22', 24' and, on the other hand, the majority of the electronic components of the dialysis machine 1' are bundled in the upper area of the machine interior. As shown in the Fig. 9As indicated by the radii r, the pressure monitoring lines 14', 16', 18' are relatively long due to the comparatively deep arrangement of the branches 20', 22', 24'. This means that the hoses 14', 16', 18' can be interchanged at will when connecting to the pressure sensor connections 26', 28', 30', since all three pressure sensor connections 26', 28', 30' are located within each circle defined by the radii r.

[0044] In the dialysis machine 1 according to the preferred embodiment, as best shown in Fig. 2As can be seen, a poka-yoke system is implemented which drastically simplifies the connection of the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 to the pressure transducer connections 26, 28, 30. For this purpose, the connection mask 6 and the hose set 8 are structurally adapted to one another in such a way that, in the predetermined arrangement of the hose set 8 specified by the connection mask 6, the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 cannot be connected to an incorrect pressure transducer connection 26, 28, 30. In the example shown, the distances between the pressure transducer connections 26, 28, 30 are selected to be sufficiently large for this purpose, and the lengths of the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 are selected to be sufficiently short. In addition, the position of the branches 20, 22, 24 in the predetermined arrangement of the hose set 8 on the connection mask 6 is selected such that only one pressure sensor connection 26, 28, 30 is within reach of the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 leading from the branch. When the hose set 8 is arranged in the predetermined configuration on the connection mask 6, only the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 can be connected to the respective correct pressure sensor connection 26, 28, 30. In the example shown in . Fig. 2In the preferred embodiment shown, all pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 are of the same length. According to an alternative preferred embodiment, the hose lengths of the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 can also be significantly different from one another. The predetermined hose length results in a radius r for each pressure monitoring line 14, 16, 18, within which, in the arrangement according to the disclosure, exactly one pressure sensor connection 26, 28, 30 can always be reached. The hose length of the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 is always selected in the example shown so that it just reaches the desired pressure sensor connection 26, 28, 30, plus the shortest possible portion to enable good handling.

[0045] In Figure 2It is clearly visible that the pressure sensor connections 26, 28, 30 are arranged in a triangular pattern on the front of the dialysis machine 1. Each edge length of this triangular pattern is selected to be greater than the hose length of the pressure monitoring lines 14, 16, 18 (here 30 cm). The triangular arrangement / distribution of the pressure sensor connections 26, 28, 30 allows for effective use of the limited space in the area of the connection mask 6.

[0046] A synergistic effect with the Poka-Yoke arrangement described above is achieved by using branches with oscillating pressure diaphragms, also called PODs (Pressure Oscillating Diaphragms). In this case, pressure monitoring is not carried out directly from, for example, blood to the air cushion, but rather blood and air are separated from each other by a flexible membrane. This design is Fig. 3can be clearly seen, which shows an exemplary POD in cross-section. It can be seen that a blood line section 32 of the POD, which can be used as an intermediate piece in the hose lines 8a, 8b, and an air chamber 36 are separated by a flexible, fluid-tight membrane 34. A connector 38 serves to connect a pressure monitoring line 14, 16, 18 to the air chamber 36. A pressure change in the blood line section 32 deflects the membrane 34, and this force is transmitted via an air cushion to a pressure sensor, which measures the internal hose pressure. This measuring setup has the advantage that the blood and air column are decoupled, so that the pressure sensor connection no longer needs to be arranged above the branch. This results in greater design freedom in the positioning of both the branches 20, 22, 24 (when the hose set 8 is assembled) and the pressure sensor connections 26, 28, 30.A positive side effect is that blood-air contact is reduced, which reduces blood clotting.

[0047] Through the above use of PODs, in the Figure 1 In the example shown, the arterial pressure sensor connection 26 is placed vertically below the delivery device 4 (while the other pressure sensor connections 28, 30 are arranged above the delivery device). This results in a favorable spacing from the remaining pressure sensor connections 28, 30.

[0048] Figures 4 , 6 and 7 show various embodiments of PODs, in which the connector 38 extends from the air chamber 36 in different orientations. In commercially available PODs, the connector 38 is usually aligned perpendicular to the POD circular surface or to the membrane 34 (cf. Figure 4 ) or runs parallel to the blood line section 32 (cf. Figure 7 ).

[0049] In the e.g. in Figure 1In the preferred embodiment of the disclosure shown, the tubing set has branches 20, 22, 24 designed exclusively as PODs. In said PODs 20, 22, 24, the connector 38 is aligned parallel to the POD circular surface (to the housing front) but at a defined angle (in plan view) to the blood line section 32. Such a POD branch is also shown in Figure 6 presented in detail. In the Figure 1 In the illustrated embodiment, the angles of the connectors 38 of the PODs are configured such that, when the hose set 8 is attached to the connection mask in the predetermined arrangement, the connectors 38 are already aligned with the associated pressure transducer connection 26, 28, 30. This provides intuitive support for the user when assembling the hose set.

[0050] This concept is in the Figure 5shown in detail. As also indicated by the crossed-out connector 38' in Figure 5 symbolized, it can be prevented in any case that the branches 20, 22, 24 point opposite to the intended pressure sensor connection 26, 28, 30.

[0051] In other words, the orientation of all branches 20, 22, 24 can preferably be selected such that they deviate by less than 90° (better less than 15°) from a direct air line to the intended pressure sensor connection 26, 28, 30.

[0052] Figure 8 shows a hose set 8 according to another embodiment of the disclosure in an isolated view. Fig. 8 The tubing set 8 shown has an arterial branch 20 designed as a POD and a venous branch 22 designed as a POD. The dialyser inlet side branch 24 with the associated pressure monitoring line is routed in the tubing set according to Fig. 8directly from an insert of the pump section 5. In the associated dialysis machine (not shown), the dialyzer inlet-side pressure sensor connection 30 is located vertically above the conveying device 4, so that the branch 24 is oriented in its direction. The pressure monitoring lines 14, 16 leading from these have a hose length of 20 cm and each have a Luer-Lock connector at their free end. The inlet connector 12a for connecting the blood supply line 8a to an inlet of the blood chamber of the dialyzer 2, the outlet connector 12b for connecting the blood return line 8b to an outlet of the blood chamber of the dialyzer 2, and the vent 13 are in the Figure 8 hidden for clarity.
