Description

[0001] The invention relates to a device for air conditioning a room with at least one heat exchanger assigned to a room ceiling and through which a temperature control fluid flows, as well as with holding elements and with heat transfer bodies, wherein the heat exchanger is formed by a pipe coil which is arranged between a supporting and a suspended room ceiling and is fastened to the supporting room ceiling via holding elements and held by these.

[0002] Devices for air conditioning a room are known from the prior art (EP 2410246 A2, DE 202010011801 U1), which comprise a heat exchanger arranged on the ceiling through which a temperature control fluid flows. The heat exchanger forms a coiled tube, which is arranged, in particular, between a supporting ceiling and a suspended ceiling. It is attached to the ceiling via retaining elements and held by them. Several heat sinks are connected to the coiled tube via two projections each clamping the coiled tube.In this context, plastic composite pipes with at least one outer and one inner layer, particularly polyolefin-based, are regularly used to facilitate installation and prevent corrosion. This is especially true because, in addition to their chemical resistance to the thermal fluids used during the installation process, their good formability allows them to be adapted to a wide variety of structural conditions and installed in the desired manner. However, this results in the disadvantage that such devices have low energy efficiency due to the poor heat transfer from the plastic composite pipe to the heat sink.

[0003] Furthermore, heat exchanger elements through which a temperature control fluid flows are also known from the prior art (DE 202018102124 U1), which comprise a thermally conductive heat transfer body. In this case, fluid-carrying plastic or metal tubes are inserted into receiving sections with a substantially omega-shaped cross-section. The receiving sections also form support tabs that rest flatly on the heat sink, forming a thermally conductive connection. For example, a thermally conductive adhesive can be provided as a fastening means. However, the use of plastic tubes presents the same problem with regard to low energy efficiency as in the aforementioned EP 2410246 A2. If metal tubes are used, however, problems arise not only with regard to the lack of chemical resistance to the temperature control fluid.Assembly processes are also more difficult due to the lower formability compared to plastic pipes. Furthermore, to ensure sufficient tightness between connected metal pipe sections, the corresponding metal pipe fittings must be installed, which is time-consuming, using additional tools.

[0004] In addition, WO 0201115 A1 discloses pipes that have a metallic layer, such as an aluminum layer, applied to a polyolefin-based inner pipe as a diffusion barrier. To prevent mechanical damage to this diffusion barrier layer, which is preferably less than 0.1 µm thick, an additional outer protective layer is applied, which can, for example, be made of the same material as the inner pipe.

[0005] The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a device of the type described above which enables more energy-efficient operation despite a quick and simple assembly process and good corrosion resistance to the temperature control fluids used.

[0006] The invention achieves the stated object in that the pipe coil for guiding the temperature control fluid comprises a heat exchanger tube which has a polyolefin-based inner layer which is in contact with the temperature control fluid when the heat exchanger is in use, a perforation-free aluminum-based outer layer and an anhydride-modified adhesion promoter layer provided between the inner and outer layers, wherein the outer layer is directly thermally connected to the metallic heat transfer bodies of the heat exchanger.

[0007] As a result of these features, improved heat transfer is achieved between the temperature control fluid and the heat transfer bodies, which act, for example, as heat sinks, because the thermal resistance between the metallic outer layer of the heat exchanger tube and the metallic heat transfer body directly connected to it by thermal conduction is reduced. A direct thermal conduction connection is understood to mean that the outer layer of the heat exchanger tube is in direct contact with the contact surface of the heat transfer body, which at least partially surrounds the outer layer, thus eliminating the need for an additional bonding layer of a thermally conductive adhesive to increase thermal resistance.Because the inner layer is made of plastic, easy-to-use internal fittings for plastic pipes can be used to connect multiple pipe sections. These fittings hold and seal the inside of the pipe, preventing the escape of temperature control fluid at the connection points and thus the risk of corrosion of the metallic outer layer. To assemble a heat exchanger tube according to the invention, a metal sheet, preferably an aluminum sheet, can be wound onto the inner tube formed by the inner layer and the intermediate layer and joined, for example, by friction welding, to form a closed outer pipe layer.Particularly favorable conditions with regard to chemical resistance, good heat transfer and good formability of the pipe coil are achieved when the inner layer is made of non-crosslinked medium-density polyethylene with increased temperature resistance (PE-RT), the outer layer is made of aluminum and the adhesion-promoting intermediate layer for good force transmission between the inner and outer layers during forming processes is made of maleic anhydride-modified polyolefins.

[0008] According to the invention, the heat transfer body forms a metallic profile with a base body and a clamping body for the pipe projecting therefrom, wherein the clamping body has two projections that clamp the pipe between them. As a result of these measures, the heat transfer bodies, whose base bodies in the simplest case form a plate, for example, can be held directly by the pipe coil itself at the projections of the clamping body, while the pipe coil is held by holding elements, in particular holding rails, and is attached to a corresponding structural device.

[0009] In a particularly advantageous, pipe-protecting design variant, the device can be configured such that the projections are bent out at the ends, particularly with the ends pointing toward the base body, and form a catch that is inserted into a correspondingly designed counter-catch on the holding element, particularly a holding rail. This ensures that the heat transfer element is attached to the holding rails via a catch connection and is held by them, with the pipe coil being clamped in the clamping elements and thus not having to absorb any holding forces itself.

[0010] To facilitate pipe assembly and installation, it is recommended that the outer layer of the heat exchanger tube has a wall thickness of 0.15 mm to 0.2 mm. This facilitates wrapping the outer layer onto the inner tube and subsequent reshaping of the coil during assembly, while simultaneously enabling good heat transfer from the temperature control fluid to the heat transfer body.

[0011] The drawing shows an example of the subject matter of the invention. Fig. 1 a device according to the invention in bottom view, Fig. 2 a section along the line II - II of Fig. 1 , Fig. 3one of the Fig. 1 corresponding representation of an alternative embodiment, Fig. 4 a section along the line IV - IV of the Fig. 3 and Fig. 5 a schematic cross section of a heat exchanger tube according to the invention.

[0012] A device according to the invention comprises a heat exchanger 1 formed by a meandering pipe coil arranged between a supporting ceiling 2 and a suspended ceiling and secured to the supporting ceiling 2 by means of retaining elements 3 and held by these. Fig. 1 to 4 In the embodiments shown, the holding elements 3 are designed as holding rails 4, which are mounted, for example, via a screw connection on the supporting ceiling 2.

[0013] The coil comprises a heat exchanger tube 5 for conveying a temperature control fluid. The tube has an inner layer 6 made of PE-RT, which is in contact with the temperature control fluid during use of the heat exchanger, a perforation-free outer layer 7 based on aluminum, and a polyolefin-based adhesion promoter layer, modified with maleic anhydride, inserted between the inner layer 6 and the outer layer 7. For clarity, the adhesion promoter layer is not explicitly shown in the drawings. The outer layer 7 is also directly thermally connected to the aluminum heat transfer elements 8 of the heat exchanger.

[0014] In the Fig. 2 and 4 Mounting variants of the respective in Fig. 1 and 3 shown embodiments of a device according to the invention are shown schematically.

[0015] As in Fig. 2As can be seen, the heat transfer bodies 8 each have a metallic profile with a substantially plate-shaped base body 9 and a clamping body 10 projecting therefrom for the heat exchanger tube 5. The clamping body 10 also comprises two projections 11 which clamp the heat exchanger tube 5 between them. Fig. 2 In the embodiment shown, the ends of the projections 11 are bent outward toward the base body 9 and form a locking connection with corresponding locking receptacles 13 of the retaining rail 4, which have a counter-lock 12 to the projections 11. As a result, all weight force generated by the coiled pipe and the heat transfer bodies 8 is dissipated by the retaining rails 4.

[0016] In the Fig. 4In the embodiment shown, the heat transfer bodies 8 are held force-fittingly on the heat exchanger tube 5 via the projections 11 of the clamping bodies 10. The heat exchanger tube 5 is clamped to the clamping receptacles 14 of the holding rails 4, whereby the Fig.4 The cross section through a heat exchanger tube 5 shown on the left is shown without the corresponding heat transfer element 8 merely to illustrate this fact.
