AI Technical Summary
Existing connection arrangements for electrical conductors, particularly with flexible conductors, require manual actuation to pivot the clamping spring away from the current bar for insertion and subsequent clamping, making the assembly process cumbersome and time-consuming.
A connection arrangement where a displaceable guide element, in operative connection with the clamping spring, holds the clamping leg in a release position until a trigger element is disengaged by the conductor's compressive force, allowing the guide element to move by spring force into a clamping position, enabling easy connection of flexible conductors without manual actuation.
Facilitates easy and efficient connection of flexible conductors by eliminating the need for manual operation of the actuating element, reducing handling complexity and time required for assembly.
Description
[0001] The invention relates to a connection arrangement for connecting an electrical conductor, which has a current bar, a clamping spring which has a clamping leg which can be transferred into a clamping position and into a release position, a conductor connection space formed between a section of the current bar and the clamping leg of the clamping spring, a displaceably arranged guide element which is in operative connection with the clamping leg of the clamping spring, wherein the clamping leg can be held in the release position by means of the guide element, and a release element which is in engagement with the guide element in the release position of the clamping spring. When the conductor to be connected is inserted into the conductor connection compartment, the release element can be actuated by the conductor in such a way that the release element disengages from the guide element, and the guide element can be displaced by a spring force of the clamping leg in such a way that the clamping leg is moved into the clamping position for clamping the conductor against the current bar. The invention further relates to a connection terminal and an electronic device.
[0002] A corresponding connection arrangement is known, for example, from DE 20 2019 101 246 U1 or JPH05135809A. Such connection arrangements usually have a clamping spring designed as a leg spring, which has a holding leg and a clamping leg, wherein a conductor inserted into the connection arrangement can be clamped against the current bar by means of the clamping leg of the clamping spring. If flexible conductors in particular are clamped, the clamping spring must be moved into a release position by means of an actuating element before the conductor is inserted and thus actuated in order to pivot the clamping spring or the clamping leg away from the current bar so that the conductor can be inserted into the space between the current bar and the clamping spring. Only with rigid and therefore stable conductors can the conductor exert sufficient force on the clamping spring orApply the clamping leg of the clamping spring in order to pivot the clamping leg away from the current bar without the user having to operate the actuating element. With flexible conductors, the user must first pivot the clamping spring away from the current bar by actuating the actuating element so that the flexible conductor can be inserted. To clamp the inserted conductor, the actuating element must be manually actuated once more by the user in order to move the clamping spring from the release position to the clamped position. Having to actuate the actuating element makes assembly or connecting the conductor more difficult for the user, as it is cumbersome to handle and therefore also increases the time required.
[0003] The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a connection arrangement as well as a connection terminal and an electronic device in which the connection of, in particular, flexible conductors can be simplified.
[0004] The object is achieved according to the invention with the features of the independent claims. Expedient embodiments and advantageous further developments of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
[0005] The connection arrangement according to the invention is characterized in that the guide element is displaceable in such a way that a displacement movement of the guide element occurs transversely to an insertion direction of the conductor to be connected into the conductor connection space.
[0006] By means of the connection arrangement according to the invention, a flexible conductor can now also be connected and clamped against the current bar without manual actuation, for example of an actuating element, or without the aid of a tool. The clamping spring is preferably designed as a leg spring, which has a holding leg and a clamping leg designed to be pivotable relative to the holding leg. By a pivoting movement of the clamping leg, it can be transferred into a release position, in which the clamping leg is arranged at a distance from the current bar and a conductor to be connected can be inserted into or removed from a conductor connection space formed thereby between the current bar and the clamping leg, and into a clamping position, in which the clamping leg can bear against the current bar or the connected conductor in order to clamp the conductor against the current bar.The connection arrangement has a guide element, which is mounted in particular so as to be horizontally displaceable, which is preferably operatively connected to the clamping spring both in the release position and in the clamping position of the clamping leg of the clamping spring. This means that the clamping leg follows the displacement movement and thus the position of the guide element due to the operative connection with the guide element. The guide element holds the clamping leg in the release position against its spring force by the guide element pressing against the clamping leg. In order to be able to hold the guide element in this position, the guide element is in engagement with the release element in the release position of the clamping leg of the clamping spring. If the release element is in engagement with the guide element, a displacement movement of the guide element is not possible or is stopped. An operative connection orBy coupling the trigger element to the guide element and the guide element to the clamping leg of the clamping spring in the release position of the clamping leg, the clamping leg can be held in this release position without additional manual actuation, so that in particular a flexible conductor can be inserted into the conductor connection space thus created between the current bar and the clamping spring. The trigger element can have a pressure surface pointing in the direction of the conductor connection space, which is aligned with an insertion area of the conductor into the connection arrangement or aligned with the conductor connection space, so that the conductor strikes the pressure surface of the trigger element when inserted into the connection arrangement, whereby a pressure force can be applied from the conductor to the trigger element.By applying a compressive force by means of the conductor to the pressure surface and thus to the trigger element, the trigger element can be set into a pivoting or tilting movement in the direction of the conductor's insertion, for example, so that the trigger element can be pivoted or tilted away from the guide element in the direction of the conductor's insertion. The pivoting movement of the trigger element can disengage the trigger element from the guide element, so that the guide element can be freely moved again. As a result, the guide element can be moved solely by the spring force of the clamping leg without manual assistance, so that the clamping leg can be transferred from the release position to the clamping position. This special mechanism makes it particularly easy to connect a flexible conductor simply by inserting the conductor, without the user having to operate additional elements, such as an actuating element, to release the clamping spring and move it from the release position to the clamping position. This simplifies handling of the connection arrangement and saves time when connecting a conductor. The trigger element is preferably an element or component that is designed separately from the clamping spring, the current bar, and the guide element. However, it is also possible for the trigger element to be connected to the clamping spring, in particular to the holding leg of the clamping spring. The trigger element can also be designed as a single piece with the clamping spring, in particular with the holding leg of the clamping spring. When the trigger element is connected to the clamping spring, the trigger element is preferably connected to the clamping spring in such a way that the trigger element can be pivoted relative to the retaining leg of the clamping spring. The trigger element preferably extends over the area between the section of the current bar against which a conductor can be clamped and the clamping spring, so that the trigger element can delimit the conductor connection space to one side. The guide element can be designed as a slide element.
[0007] In order to form an operative connection between the guide element and the clamping leg of the clamping spring, the guide element can have at least one spring contact edge against which the clamping leg can rest. The spring contact edge can be designed such that the clamping leg, or at least a portion of the clamping leg, can rest against the spring contact edge both in the release position and in the clamping position. The spring contact edge can be formed, for example, on a shoulder of the guide element.
[0008] To ensure consistent guidance of the guide element and the clamping leg of the clamping spring, two such spring contact edges can be formed on the guide element, so that the clamping leg can be guided on the guide element via two such spring contact edges. The two spring contact edges preferably extend parallel to each other on the guide element.
[0009] With such a configuration, it is possible for the clamping leg to have two sliding sections, each arranged to the side of a main section having a clamping edge, and for the guide element to have two spring contact edges arranged at a distance from one another, wherein a first sliding section can contact a first spring contact edge and a second sliding section can contact a second spring contact edge. The two sliding sections are preferably each shorter than the main section of the clamping leg. The main section and the two sliding sections preferably extend parallel to one another. The two sliding sections are preferably each curved, so that they can each form a sliding runner that can slide along a respective spring contact edge. The main section, on the other hand, is preferably straight.
[0010] According to the invention, the guide element is displaceable in such a way that a displacement movement of the guide element can occur transversely to the insertion direction of the conductor to be connected into the conductor connection space. This allows for a particularly compact design, allowing the connection arrangement to be characterized by a reduced installation space.
[0011] In order to release the trigger element from the guide element by means of the conductor inserted into the conductor connection compartment, thus disengaging it from the guide element, the trigger element can be mounted so that it can be tilted relative to the guide element. The trigger element can thus be designed like a rocker. If the conductor to be connected is pressed against the trigger element, the trigger element can tilt in the direction of the conductor's insertion to disengage from the guide element and thus release the guide element, allowing it to be moved freely again.
[0012] In order to be able to form an engagement of the trigger element with the guide element in the release position of the clamping leg of the clamping spring, the trigger element can have at least one undercut, which can be locked with at least one locking lug of the guide element in the release position of the clamping leg of the clamping spring. This can form a locking connection between the guide element and the trigger element when the clamping leg of the clamping spring is in the release position. Preferably, the trigger element has two undercuts and the guide element preferably has two locking lugs, so that a double-acting locking connection can be formed between the guide element and the trigger element. If two undercuts are provided, these are preferably formed on two mutually parallel side surfaces of the trigger element.
[0013] Preferably, it can further be provided that the guide element has two longitudinal side walls arranged parallel to one another, which delimit the conductor connection space on a first side and a second side opposite the first side. The guide element can thus also guide the conductor to be connected when it is inserted into the conductor connection space. The two longitudinal side walls can prevent incorrect insertion of the conductor. The conductor connection space can thus be delimited on two of its sides by the guide element and on the other two sides by the current bar and the clamping leg of the clamping spring.
[0014] The connection arrangement can further comprise an actuating element by means of which the guide element can be displaced to transfer the clamping leg of the clamping spring from the clamping position into the release position. The actuating element can preferably be designed such that it applies a compressive force to the guide element in order to displace it against the spring force of the clamping leg of the clamping spring in such a way that when the release position of the clamping leg is reached, the guide element can engage with the release element. Through the displacement movement, the guide element can apply a tensile force to the clamping leg of the clamping spring in order to transfer the clamping leg from the clamping position into the release position. The actuating element is preferably movable in a direction that is oriented transversely to the direction of the displacement movement of the guide element. The actuating element is preferably movable in a purely translational manner. The direction of movement of the actuating element is preferably oriented parallel to the direction of insertion of the conductor into the conductor connection space.
[0015] The guide element can have a sliding surface along which the actuating element can be guided. The actuating element can rest flat against the guide element on the sliding surface. The actuating element can slide along the guide element via the sliding surface, thereby transferring a compressive force to the guide element.
[0016] The sliding surface can be arranged between the two longitudinal side walls of the guide element or on an end wall of the guide element. The sliding surface is preferably oriented such that the sliding surface extends transversely to the two longitudinal side walls. By arranging the sliding surface between the two longitudinal side walls, the actuating element for actuating the guide element can be inserted into the free space defined by the two longitudinal side walls and the sliding surface. The two longitudinal side walls can form a guide aid for the actuating element in order to prevent the actuating element from tilting when guided along the sliding surface of the guide element.
[0017] The sliding surface can form an inclined surface that can interact with an inclined surface formed on the actuating element. If the sliding surface is designed as an inclined surface, it preferably has an incline. The surface of the actuating element that rests against the sliding surface is then also preferably designed as an inclined surface that is inclined relative to the longitudinal extension of the actuating element, which extends in the direction of movement of the actuating element. The inclination of the sliding surface and the inclination of the surface of the actuating element can each be formed, for example, at an angle between 30° and 50° to the actuating direction of the actuating element and to the longitudinal extension of the actuating element, respectively. If both the sliding surface and the surface of the actuating element which slides along the sliding surface are designed as an inclined surface, the vertical direction of movement of the actuating element can be converted into a horizontal displacement movement of the guide element when the actuating element slides along the sliding surface.
[0018] The actuating element is preferably arranged such that it just does not enter the conductor connection space, thus preventing interaction between the actuating element and the connected conductor. Preferably, the clamping spring, current bar, and actuating element are arranged such that the clamping spring is located between the section of the current bar against which a conductor to be connected is clamped and the actuating element.
[0019] The object of the invention is further achieved by means of a terminal block, in particular a series terminal block, which has at least one connection arrangement designed and further developed as described above. The terminal block can be arranged, for example, on a printed circuit board. If the terminal block is designed as a series terminal block, it can be arranged on a mounting rail.
[0020] It is also possible to provide a terminal arrangement which can have a plurality of terminals arranged in a row, each of which can have at least one connection arrangement designed and developed as described above.
[0021] Furthermore, the object according to the invention can be achieved by means of an electronic device which can have at least one connection arrangement designed and further developed as described above and / or at least one connection terminal designed and further developed as described above.
[0022] The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings using a preferred embodiment.
[0023] It shows Fig. 1 a schematic representation of a terminal with a connection arrangement according to the invention with the clamping leg of the clamping spring in a clamping position, Fig. 2 a schematic sectional representation of the in Fig. 1shown terminal with the connection arrangement according to the invention with the clamping leg of the clamping spring in a clamping position, Fig. 3 a schematic representation of the terminal with the connection arrangement according to the invention with the clamping leg of the clamping spring in a release position, and Fig. 4 a schematic sectional representation of the in Fig. 3 shown connection terminal with the connection arrangement according to the invention with the clamping leg of the clamping spring in the release position.
[0024] Fig. 1 shows a connection terminal 200 with a housing 210, which can be formed from an insulating material, wherein a connection arrangement 100 for connecting a conductor not shown here is arranged or accommodated in the housing 210.
[0025] The connection arrangement 100 has a current bar 110 and a clamping spring 111 designed as a leg spring, as can be seen in particular in the sectional view in Fig. 2can be seen. The clamping spring 111 has a holding leg 112 and a clamping leg 113. The holding leg 112 is held in a fixed position, whereas the clamping leg 113 is pivotable relative to the holding leg 112. By pivoting the clamping leg 113, it can be moved into a clamping position, as shown in Fig. 1 and 2 shown, and into a release position as shown in Fig. 3 and 4shown. In the clamping position, the clamping leg 113 presses against a section 114 of the current bar 110 or against a conductor inserted into the connection arrangement 100 in order to clamp and connect the conductor against the section 114 of the current bar 110. In the release position, the clamping leg 113 is positioned at a distance from the section 114 of the current bar 110 so that a conductor can be inserted into the free space thus formed between the section 114 of the current bar 110 and the clamping leg 113.
[0026] Furthermore, the connection arrangement 100 has a guide element 115. The guide element 115 is mounted displaceably relative to the current bar 110, so that the guide element 115 can perform a horizontal displacement movement V.
[0027] By means of the guide element 115, the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 111 can be moved from the clamping position to the release position and held in the release position. For this purpose, the guide element 115 is operatively connected to the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 111.
[0028] In the embodiment shown here, the guide element 115 has two spring contact edges 116a, 116b arranged parallel to one another, against which the clamping leg 113 rests.
[0029] The clamping leg 113 has a main section 117, at the free end of which a clamping edge 118 is formed. Two sliding sections 119a, 119b are formed laterally of the main section 117, so that the main section 117 is arranged between the two sliding sections 119a, 119b. The two sliding sections 119a, 119b rest against the two spring contact edges 116a, 116b of the guide element 115, with the sliding section 119a resting against the spring contact edge 116a and the sliding section 119b resting against the spring contact edge 116b. The sliding sections 119a, 119b rest against the spring contact edges 116a, 116b both in the release position and in the clamping position of the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 111.
[0030] The sliding sections 119a, 119b have a shorter length than the main section 117. The sliding sections 119a, 119b are curved so that they form a skid shape, by means of which the sliding sections 119a, 119b can slide along the spring contact edges 116a, 116b when the clamping leg 113 is transferred into the release position and into the clamping position, as shown in particular in Fig. 1 and 3 can be seen.
[0031] The two spring contact edges 116a, 116b are formed on opposite longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b of the guide element 115. The two longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b are arranged parallel to each other. The two longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b each have an upper edge 121a, 121b and an opposite lower edge 122a, 122b. The spring contact edges 116a, 116b each extend perpendicular to the upper edge 121a, 121b. Starting from the horizontally extending upper edge 121a, 121b, the spring contact edges 116a, 116b extend downward toward the horizontally extending lower edge 122a, 122b of the guide element 115.
[0032] The current bar 110 and the clamping spring 111 are arranged between the two longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b of the guide element 115. The current bar 110 and the clamping spring 111 are enclosed by the guide element 115.
[0033] The guide element 115 further has two end walls 123a, 123b that are aligned parallel to each other. The two end walls 123a, 123b are arranged transversely to the two longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b of the guide element 115.
[0034] A conductor connection space 124, into which a conductor to be connected can be inserted, is formed between section 114 of current bar 110 and clamping leg 113. The conductor connection space 124 is laterally covered or delimited by the two longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b of guide element 115, so that guide element 115 also forms a guide for the conductor to be connected.
[0035] The conductor connection space 124 is aligned with a conductor insertion opening 211 formed in the housing 210, through which the conductor to be connected can be inserted into the housing 210 of the connection terminal 200.
[0036] The connection arrangement 100 further comprises a trigger element 125. The trigger element 125 is arranged in alignment with the conductor insertion opening 211 and the conductor connection space 124. The trigger element 125 delimits the conductor connection space 124 at the bottom.
[0037] In the release position of the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 111, the trigger element 125 is in engagement with the guide element 115, as shown in Fig. 3 and 4 can be seen, whereby the guide element 115 is held in its position and thereby also via the spring contact edges 116a, 116b and the sliding sections 119a, 119b of the clamping leg 113 is held in its position, so that an unintentional pivoting back of the clamping leg 113 from the release position into the clamping position can be prevented.
[0038] The trigger element 125 has two laterally arranged undercuts 126, which, in the release position of the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 111, engage with a respective locking lug 127a, 127b of the guide element 115 to form a locking connection between the guide element 115 and the trigger element 125. The locking lug 127a is formed on the lower edge 122a of the longitudinal side wall 120a, and the locking lug 127b is formed on the lower edge 122b of the longitudinal side wall 120b.
[0039] In the clamping position, the release element 125 is disengaged from the guide element 115, as shown in Fig. 1 and 2 can be seen, so that the guide element 115 is freely movable.
[0040] The trigger element 125 is mounted so as to be tiltable relative to the guide element 115.
[0041] When a conductor to be connected is inserted along the insertion direction E via the conductor insertion opening 211 into the conductor connection space 124, the conductor strikes the release element 125, causing the release element 125 to tilt relative to the guide element 115 and thereby disengage from the guide element 115, so that the guide element 115 can be freely moved again and the guide element 115 can thus be moved solely by the spring force of the clamping leg 113 without manual assistance, such that the clamping leg 113 can be transferred from the release position into the clamping position. The release element 125 has a pressure surface 128 pointing in the direction of the conductor connection space 124, which pressure surface is aligned with the conductor insertion opening 211 oris arranged in alignment with the conductor connection space 124, so that the conductor abuts the pressure surface 128 of the trigger element 125 upon insertion into the connection arrangement 100, whereby a compressive force is applied from the conductor to the trigger element 125. By applying a compressive force by means of the conductor to the pressure surface 128 and thus to the trigger element 125, the trigger element 125 can be set in a pivoting or tilting movement in the direction of insertion E of the conductor, so that the trigger element 125 can be pivoted or tilted away from the guide element 115 in the insertion direction E of the conductor.
[0042] The displacement movement V of the guide element 115, when it is disengaged from the release element 125, occurs in a direction which is oriented transversely to the insertion direction E of the conductor to be connected into the conductor connection space 124.
[0043] In order to move the clamping leg 113 back from the clamping position to the release position by means of the guide element 115 against its spring force, the connection arrangement 100 has an actuating element 129. The actuating element 129 is mounted displaceably along an actuating direction B, wherein the actuating direction B is parallel to the insertion direction E of the conductor. The actuating direction B extends transversely to the displacement movement B of the guide element 115.
[0044] By means of the actuating element 129, the guide element 115 can be displaced such that the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 111 resting against the guide element 115 can be moved from the clamping position into the release position. Upon actuation of the actuating element 129 in actuation direction B, the actuating element 129 can be displaced such that it applies a compressive force to the guide element 115 in order to displace the guide element 115 against the spring force of the clamping leg 113 of the clamping spring 115 such that when the release position of the clamping leg 113 is reached, the guide element 115 can engage with the release element 125. This displacement movement V of the guide element 115 pivots the clamping leg 113 from the clamping position into the release position.
[0045] The guide element 115 has a sliding surface 130 in the form of an inclined surface, along which the actuating element 129 can be guided. In the embodiment shown here, the sliding surface 130 is integrally formed on the end wall 123b of the guide element 115. The sliding surface 130 extends from the end wall 123b in the direction of the actuating element 129. Due to its design as an inclined surface, the sliding surface 129 is arranged at an angle such that the sliding surface 129 extends here at an angle of between 130° and 160° to the end wall 123b of the guide element 115.
[0046] Alternatively, it would also be possible for the sliding surface 130 to be arranged at a distance from the end wall 123b between the two longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b, so that the sliding surface 130 is directly connected to the longitudinal side walls 120a, 120b.
[0047] The actuating element 129 also has an inclined surface 131 configured to correspond to the inclination of the sliding surface 130. The inclined surface 131 of the actuating element 129 rests flat against the sliding surface 130, so that when the actuating element 129 is actuated in the actuation direction B, the inclined surface 131 can slide downward along the sliding surface 130 to displace the guide element 115.
[0048] The actuating element 129 is arranged adjacent to the retaining leg 112 of the clamping spring 111. The actuating element 129 is thus arranged behind the clamping spring 111. The clamping spring 111 is arranged between the section 114 of the current bar 110 and the actuating element 129. List of reference symbols
