Description
[0001] The invention relates to a shed window with a covering device for externally covering the shed window. State of the art
[0002] Various types of exterior coverings for windows are known in the art, such as blinds, venetian blinds, roller shutters, folding shutters, or sliding shutters. These coverings primarily serve to protect the window and / or building opening, although the aesthetic aspect of the exterior covering often also plays an important role.
[0003] A popular type of roof window covering is the roller shutter, which can be rolled up or folded into a roller shutter box. To meet aesthetic requirements, it is desirable to visually conceal the roller shutter box. This is achieved in CH20130001388 by arranging the roof window and cover in the roof opening so that the roller shutter box is below the surface of the roof and thus not visible from the outside.
[0004] The state of the art includes arrangements of slats spaced apart from one another, the opening and closing movements of which can be coordinated.
[0005] US2758345A describes a window construction with two vertical louvre arrays spaced apart from each other. The individual louvres of a louvre array overlap and can be moved between a horizontal and a vertical position. The position change of the louvres is controlled by a rotary movement of a drive shaft, which causes an upward and downward movement of connecting rods.In particular, this document discloses a shed window with a covering device which can assume an open and a closed state and which has a plurality of jointly rotatable, parallel scales each having a scale rotation axis, wherein the scale rotation axis of each scale is arranged parallel to a window frame plane of the shed window, wherein the covering device has an outer cover which is arranged parallel to the window frame plane of the shed window in said open and closed states of the shed window.
[0006] US2002 / 0037697A1 describes a ventilation structure in which inner side panel material and outer side panel material face each other and vertically traverse a ventilation space. The structure additionally includes intermediate side panel material located between the outer and inner side panel materials. The panels are rotationally movable and arranged such that a line of sight through the ventilation structure is interrupted by either the inner side panel material or the intermediate side panel material.
[0007] Outdoor covers provide protection against sunlight, rain, wind, and even heat and / or cold. The appropriate type of cover can be selected based on specific requirements.
[0008] The type of window to be covered also determines the appropriate type of covering. Several solutions for covering windows with one or two sashes are already known in the state of the art. However, no satisfactory solution for the external covering of shed windows has yet been described. Description of the invention
[0009] It is an object of the invention to remedy the deficiencies of the prior art and to provide a shed window with an outer cover that efficiently protects the shed window in its open and closed state against environmental events, for example against weather events, or against other adverse events, such as burglaries.
[0010] It is a further object of the invention that the outer cover of the shed window is arranged in a space-saving manner.
[0011] Furthermore, it is desirable that the outer cover of the shed window be reversibly retractable. It should also meet aesthetic requirements.
[0012] According to the invention, this object is achieved according to claim 1. The shed window with covering device has an outer cover and two fixing axes. The shed window can assume an open and a closed state and has a plurality of jointly rotatable, parallel scales, each with a scale rotation axis, wherein the scale rotation axis of each scale is arranged parallel to a window frame plane of the shed window. In said open and closed states of the shed window, the outer cover is arranged parallel to the window frame plane of the shed window. The rotational movement of the outer cover with respect to the scales of the shed window is predetermined by two geometric fixing axes. The two fixing axes connect the outer cover to the scales in a rotatable manner.
[0013] Ideally, all opening sheds of the shed window have identical or nearly identical dimensions.
[0014] To For better interior lighting, the shed window can have transparent or translucent scales, for example. However, the scales can also be opaque. Various color designs, patterns, and / or surface textures are possible.
[0015] The parallel arrangement of the outer cover relative to the window frame plane ensures that the cover is always held at a defined distance close to the window, but not resting on it, both when the window is open and closed, as well as in the transitional positions between these states. This saves space.
[0016] This arrangement offers the additional advantage of significantly reducing environmental influences, such as weather, that affect the window, the window opening, and / or the interior. This is because the aforementioned arrangement minimizes the open areas through which various environmental influences, such as rain or sunlight, can penetrate. If the outer cover is a sun or rain cover, only very oblique or almost horizontal rays of light or rain can penetrate through the open area between the raised outer cover and the window frame.
[0017] Optionally, one or both of the sheds positioned at the window ends can be kept closed during opening to further reduce the area through which environmental influences can penetrate.
[0018] The outer cover can also serve as a burglar alarm, for example, if the cover and frame are made of solid material. Attaching the cover close to the shed window prevents people from deliberately climbing in through the window.
[0019] Further advantageous embodiments are specified in the subclaims.
[0020] According to the invention, the outer cover is attached to two fixing scales by means of fastening devices, one of the fixing scales being positioned in a first section near the end of the shed window, and a second fixing scale being positioned in a second section near the opposite end of the shed window. This arrangement of the fixing scales in the shed window has the advantage of stabilizing the outer cover.
[0021] The exact position of the two fixing sheds within each section can be varied. The stability of the cover is increased if the fixing sheds are installed near opposite ends of the shed window.
[0022] Preferably, the outer cover is attached to exactly two fixing sheds. Alternatively, the outer cover can also be attached to several sheds. The number of fixing shed attachments can be selected depending on the size of the window.
[0023] The opening angles of the angle α enclosed by the outer cover and a fixing scale, and the angle α1 enclosed by a fixing scale and the window frame plane, are identical or nearly identical. These angles remain identical or nearly identical in the open and closed states, as well as in the transition positions between the states. This has the advantage that the outer cover is arranged parallel to the window frame plane.
[0024] In one embodiment, the fixing scales are connected to the outer cover by means of hinges. These hinges have a hinge axis around which two tabs can rotate. A first tab of the hinge is attached to a fixing scale, and a second tab is fastened to the outer shade. In this embodiment, the geometric fixing axes are each formed by at least one hinge axis. Preferably, each fixing axis is defined by at least two hinge axes.
[0025] In a preferred embodiment, two hinges are mounted in the immediate vicinity of a first longitudinal edge of the fixing shed, this first longitudinal edge being the edge of the shed that is closest to the outer cover when the shed window is open. A first and a second outer edge of the fixing shed run between said first longitudinal edge and the opposite, parallel second longitudinal edge that is closest to the interior when open. In this preferred embodiment, one of the two hinges is each fastened in the immediate vicinity of a respective outer edge. The two hinges preferably adjoin these outer edges flush, with the hinge axis running parallel to the first longitudinal edge.
[0026] Ideally, the fixation axis is located in the immediate vicinity of the first longitudinal edge of the fixation shed window. This arrangement prevents the freedom of rotation around the fixation axes and the shed rotation axes from being blocked by contact of the outer cover on the first longitudinal edges of the sheds. This has the advantage of allowing maximum lifting of the outer cover, which is achieved at an opening angle of the sheds of no more than 90 degrees, preferably 90 degrees.
[0027] In one embodiment, the second tabs have a shape that causes the outer cover to be raised, thus establishing a distance (d) between the outer cover and the fixing scale. This distance can be achieved, for example, by an inverted-planar L-shaped design of the second tab. The distance (d) can also be created by a hinge attachment that is attached to the second tab and connects the second tab to the outer cover.
[0028] The created distance (d) has the advantage that the first longitudinal edges of the scales do not touch the outer cover. This prevents scratching or wear of the scales and / or the outer cover. Furthermore, it also prevents the opening mechanism from being blocked, for example, by a faster-opening or larger scale.
[0029] Furthermore, the created distance (d) ensures good warm air dissipation between the shading and the sheds of the window, both when the shed window is open and when it is closed.
[0030] TheThe outer cover is fixed in place resting on the hinge attachment of the second tab or a portion of the second tab of the hinge. This fixed arrangement causes the outer cover to be raised during the opening process as a result of the rotational movement of the fixing scales around their respective scale rotation axes. When open, the outer cover is held in the raised position due to its rotationally fixed attachment to the fixing scales. The rotational movement of the fixing scales around the scale rotation axis is reversible, which also makes the raising and lowering of the outer cover reversible. Due to the rotational attachment of the fixing scales to the outer cover, the rotational movement of the fixing scales is synchronized with the oblique translational movement of the outer cover during its raising and lowering. During the closing process, the outer cover is lowered towards the window frame plane. When closed, the outer cover assumes a position parallel to the window plane, with the distance to the slats determined by the design of the second hinge plate. This position can be chosen at a distance or close to the window, but should not be flush with the window.
[0031] Fastening devices or hinges can be glued to the outer cover and the fixing scale. They can also be attached to the outer cover and the fixing scale by means of a fixing device (524), for example, a screw. To provide greater stability, in a preferred embodiment, hinges are attached to the fixing scale and / or the outer cover both by glue and additionally by screwing.
[0032] If a reversible attachment is desired, the hinge can be glued to either the outer cover or the fixing shed without the need for adhesive. Additional devices can be added for reversible attachment of the outer cover to either the fixing shed or the outer cover.
[0033] In one embodiment, the outer cover has a frame that defines the perimeter of the outer cover. The material of this frame can be different from the material of the cover surface enclosed by the frame. Preferably, the material is a sturdy, weather-resistant material, such as aluminum, stainless steel, polyvinyl chloride (PVC), wood, or other sheet metal materials. In a preferred embodiment, the hinges are fixed to the frame of the outer cover.
[0034] An outdoor cover with a frame has the advantage that the covering surface enclosed by the frame can be freely selected. Materials can be chosen according to the intended function or desired appearance of the outdoor cover. Since the fastening devices can be attached to the frames, these materials do not necessarily have to be suitable for hinged attachment. This allows the use of flexible or lightweight materials as covering surfaces. For example, various forms of textiles or plastics can be selected for shade covers. Suitable water-repellent materials can be selected for protection against rain.
[0035] An external cover with a frame and cover surface offers the additional advantage that the cover surface can be reversibly removed or retracted, for example, rolled up or folded. Common roller shutter models or venetian blind models are conceivable for this purpose. The reversibly retractable cover surfaces are preferably stored in a cover box when retracted. This cover box is mounted at one end of the external cover, suitable for receiving the cover.
[0036] Concealing the cover box may be desirable for aesthetic reasons. For example, in low-mounted skylights, it's possible to install the cover box below the roof covering, such as the roof tiles. The cover box can also be installed flush with the roof covering.
[0037] In another embodiment, the outer cover can be used as insulation or heat protection. The outer cover can, for example, reduce the penetration of external heat into an interior space. In such an embodiment, the outer cover can be a perforated metal plate, a grating, or expanded metal.
[0038] The present invention allows for a wide range of possible variations in materials and designs, which can be selected or varied according to the requirements of the exterior covering. The exterior covering of the shed window is thus very versatile.
[0039] The shed window with external cover shown here is particularly suitable as a roof window, exterior building window, or window for production halls. Furthermore, the shed window with external cover can be used in other spatial structures, such as greenhouses. Other suitable applications are certainly conceivable. Short description of the characters
[0040] The invention is explained in more detail with reference to the attached figures, which show Fig. 1 a three-dimensional view of an embodiment of the open shed window with an outer cover whose cover surface is retracted; 1a a three-dimensional overall view of the embodiment; 1b a detailed view of the hinge in a closed state of the shed window; 1c a detailed view of the hinge in an open state of the shed window; Fig. 2an embodiment of an open shed window with an outer cover whose covering surface is extended; 2a a side view of this embodiment; 2b a top view of this embodiment; Fig. 3 an embodiment of a closed shed window with an outer cover whose covering surface is extended; 3a a side view of this embodiment; 3b a top view of this embodiment; Fig. 4 Example of a shed window with external cover installed in a sloping roof; 4a three-dimensional exterior view of the closed shed window with frame of the outer cover without cover surface; 4b three-dimensional exterior view of the opened shed window with frame of the outer cover without cover surface; Fig. 5Three-dimensional interior view of a closed shed window installed in a sloping roof with the outer cover open; Fig. 6 Example of a shed window with external cover installed in a sloping roof 6a Top view with indicative section line of view 6b; 6b Cross-sectional diagram of the embodiment along the section line marked in 6a; Fig. 7 Example of a shed window installed in a sloping roof with retractable cover surface of the outer cover; 7a Cross-sectional diagram of the embodiment with partially retracted outer cover; 7b Cross-sectional diagram of the embodiment with the outer cover fully extended. Ways to implement the invention
[0041] The embodiment according to the invention is described below using the example of a shed window (2) with an outer cover (3) which has a frame (31) and a reversibly retractable cover surface (32).
[0042] The invention has been illustrated with only one embodiment. However, the invention is not limited to this embodiment. Further embodiments are possible.
[0043] Figure 1 shows a three-dimensional overall view of the shed window (2) with the attached outer cover (3) in the open position. The outer cover (3) is rotatably attached to two fixing scales (21) of the window by hinges (5).
[0044] The hinges (5) are designed with two hinge brackets (51, 52) and a hinge axis (53) around which the two brackets rotate. By being mounted in close proximity to and parallel to the first longitudinal edge of the fixing shed window (22), which is the edge closest to the outer cover when the shed window is open, the hinges (5) define the geometric fixing axes (505), whereby Figure 1a two fixing axes (551, 552) are shown. The second longitudinal edge of the scales runs parallel to the first longitudinal edge and is the edge closest to the interior when the scales are open.
[0045] For reasons of improved stability, it is advantageous to mount the hinges (5) as shown in Figure 1a shown, near the outer side edges, preferably flush with them.
[0046] The individual scales (21, 22) are rotationally fixed to the frame of the scale window (40) by opening elements (24). Each scale, together with the other scales, performs an opening and closing rotational movement around its geometric scale rotation axes (205). The scale rotation axes (205) are arranged in a geometric window plane (215) that is parallel to the window frame (40).
[0047] Optionally, a scale (21), for example, a scale positioned at one end of the window, can be excluded from the rotational movement, provided it is not a fixing scale (22). This scale remains closed while the other scales (21, 22) perform their rotational movements.
[0048] The opening elements (24) can be attached via lateral shed brackets (23) or via the first tab of the hinges (51). If the shed material is suitable, the opening elements can also be attached directly to the sheds (21, 22).
[0049] The Figure 1a The outer cover (3) illustrated is a reversibly retractable embodiment comprising a cover frame (31), a cover surface (32) defined by the distal frame end (315) which is reversibly retractable together with the cover surface (32). Figure 1a the cover surface is not visible, as it is completely enclosed in the cover frame (31, Figure 3B) attached cover box (34). The limiting distal frame end (315) cannot be retracted into the cover box. It remains outside the cover box even when the cover surface (32) is retracted. A complete retraction of the cover surface (32) into the cover box (34) is thus prevented. In the fully extended state of the cover surface (32), the distal frame end (315) connects to the ends of the lateral frame arms (316) remote from the cover box. This is, among other things, in Figure 2B shown.
[0050] Figures 1b and 1care schematic illustrations of a hinge (5) suitable for the illustrated embodiment. Other suitable hinge shapes are possible. In the example shown, the hinge has a long first hinge plate (51) attached to a fixing scale (22), parallel or flush with the outer lateral edge of the fixing scale. The greater length of the first hinge plate contributes to a stable attachment to the fixing scale. It also contributes to a better distribution of the forces acting on the fixing scale during the rotational movement.
[0051] The hinge is equipped with a second hinge bracket (52), which, in the example shown, is angled at a right angle in a planar L-shape. The illustrated second hinge bracket (52) additionally has a stabilizing element (521) for the angled hinge bracket. The stabilizing element (521) serves to prevent undesirable deformations, such as bending of the planar L-shape. The hinge brackets (51, 52) can be attached to the outer cover (3) or the fixing scale (22) by means of fixing devices (524), such as screws.
[0052] The distance (d) between the outer cover (3) and the scales (21, 22) of the scale window (2) is determined in this embodiment by the distance between the hinge axis (53) and the bending point enclosing the right angle (the second hinge bracket (52).
[0053] The distance (d) between the outer cover (3) and the scales (21, 22) of the shed window (2) prevents the scales (21, 22) and the outer cover from touching each other. Scratching or wear of the scales and / or the outer cover can thus be avoided. Differing dimensions of the individual scales, in particular different widths of the scales, could block the opening of the shed window if the outer cover rests on the first longitudinal edges of the wider scale during the opening process and thus prevents the outer cover from being lifted further. Width here means the distance between the first longitudinal edge defined above and the second longitudinal edge defined above of a scale. The distance (d) provides a certain tolerance for deviations of individual scales from the ideal identical width, or the identical dimensions of the scales. The requirements for precision regarding the dimensions of the scales are therefore less stringent.
[0054] The first and second hinge plates rotate around the hinge axis (53) connecting the two plates.
[0055] The shed window with cover is in Figure 2 shown in its open state, Figure 3 shows the closed state. The retractable cover surface (32) of the outer cover (3) with frame (31) is in Figures 2ab and 3ab fully extended.
[0056] As seen from the side view in Figure 2aAs shown, the opening angle α between the scale (21, 22) and the outer cover (3) essentially corresponds to the opening angle α1 between the scale and the geometric window plane (215). The outer cover (3) is arranged parallel to the window frame plane (215) or the window frame (40) in both the closed and open states. In both said states, as well as in the transitional movement between the states, the distance (d) between the window scale (21, 22) and the frame of the outer cover (31), predetermined by the shape of the second hinge tabs (52), remains unchanged.
[0057] As can also be seen, one of the two fixing scales (22) is located in the first portion of the shed window (11), and the second fixing scale is located in a second portion of the shed window (12). In the illustrated embodiment, all scales open and close simultaneously in a coordinated rotational movement. However, the end scale of the second portion of the shed window (11) can, for example, be decoupled from the rotational movement and assume a permanently closed state. This optional design could, for example, provide additional protection against incoming rain or sunlight.
[0058] In the side views of the Figures 2a and 3a the lateral frame arms of the outer cover (316) and the cover box (34) are cut so that the rollable cover surface (321), the distal frame end (315) and the winding device (341) which is stored in the cover box are visible.
[0059] Figures 2a and 3b are top views of the shed window with cover in the open, Figure 2b , and in closed, Figure 3b , state of the shed window. Due to the opening rotational movement of the sheds, the cover is lifted and simultaneously moved translationally. For this reason, the outer cover (3) assumes an offset position in relation to the frame of the shed window (40) when the shed window is open, as shown in Figures 2A and 2B A part of the frame of the shed window (40) is thus visible in the top view of the Figure 2B clearly visible. When closed, the outer cover (3) completely covers the sheds (21, 22) of the window. Preferably, when the shed window is closed, the outer cover also at least partially covers the frame of the shed window (40).
[0060] Figures 4 , 5 , 6 and 7represent a specific embodiment of the invention, namely a shed window with an external cover installed in a sloping roof (60). An external environment (200) is separated from an internal space (100) by the sloping roof.
[0061] Figure 4a is a three-dimensional view of a closed shed window with an outer cover installed in the roof (60), wherein the cover surface (32) of the outer cover is removed for clarity of illustration. Figure 4bshows the same embodiment with the shed window open. In this preferred embodiment, the frame of the shed window (40) is recessed into the roof (60) so that the sheds (21, 22) of the window are flush with the outer surface of the roof, or rather, its roof tiles (60). In this example, the outer cover (3) is located in the immediate vicinity of the outer surface of the roof when the window is closed. The cover box (34) can rest on the sheds of the sloped window.
[0062] In the Figure 5 The interior view of the same embodiment shown in the drawing shows the window frame (40) recessed into the roof. Through the open sheds (21, 22) of the window, the cover surface (32) and the frame of the outer cover (31) can be seen. The sheds can be opened and closed by a motor. For this purpose, a Figure 5 illustrated motor (45) is provided.
[0063] Figure 6b shows a cross-section of a closed shed window with extended cover along a section line (A) which is Figure 6a is marked. The winding device (341) of the covering surface (32) can be seen in the cover box (34). In this exemplary embodiment, the shed window is again recessed into the roof (60), with the outer covering (3) of the closed window lying in the plane of the outer surface of the roof. The outer covering of the closed window is flush with the outer roof surface, or rather, the roof tile (62).
[0064] Further cross sections of a closed shed window with external cover installed in a pitched roof are shown in Figure 7 Various positions that the retractable cover surface (32) can assume are shown in Figures 7a and 7b shown. In Figure 7a the cover surface is extended to half of the window. Figure 7b shows the cover fully extended. Reference numbers in the figures
