Description

[0001] The invention relates to a clamp fixation for fixing a hose clamp on a hose end section, comprising at least one clamp band which is wound tangentially in an approximately circular ring shape at a radial distance around an imaginary longitudinal axis, a clamping device and at least one flat holding element projecting axially from the clamp band.

[0002] Such hose clamps are used to clamp hoses to connecting fittings and are widely known and used. They are also used in automotive engineering, for example, for charge air or coolant hoses.

[0003] To simplify hose assembly, it is advantageous to position and secure the hose clamp on the hose end before assembling the hoses, so that the operator can use the hoses ready for installation. Various positioning aids are available for this purpose.

[0004] DE 10 2006 048 344 A1 discloses a positioning device of the generic type in which the claws of the positioning device, after being bent orthogonally, have a further bend at an obtuse angle. This allows the claws to be deflected toward each other when penetrating a hose wall, so that after penetration, the claws assume a staple-like state.

[0005] However, to create such a claw, a plastically deformable material is required, which can also be released again under tensile stress if necessary. Because the surfaces of the claws must be relatively smooth to allow the claws to move toward each other without interference, there is a risk that the claws will come loose again if the animal is carelessly removed from transport containers, for example.

[0006] EP 2 250 420 B1 discloses a clamp arrangement with positioning aid, which is very similar to the arrangement in DE 10 2006 048 344 A1, but dispenses with the additional bending of the claws. Although a high-strength material with little or no plastic deformation can be used here,

[0007] Since claws do not provide a positive connection after penetrating a hose wall, but rather the holding force under tensile load relies exclusively on friction between the claw and the hose wall, there is also a risk that the clamp will come loose too easily when removed from transport containers, for example. Another clamp fixation method is known from KR 101 064 847 B1.

[0008] The invention was based on the object of further simplifying and improving the generic clamp fixation while maintaining good holding power and ease of assembly.

[0009] This object is achieved in that the clamp fixation has at least one staple-like fastening element, wherein the staple-like fastening element has at least two legs and a connecting web and the legs are pierced through the wall of the hose end section and are bent almost at right angles towards or away from each other on the side facing away from the piercing side of the hose wall, and the connecting web clamps the flat holding element to the wall of the hose end section.

[0010] This arrangement has the advantage that the holding element itself does not have its own legs and can therefore be easily produced by punching, and standard staples can be used as a fastening element, thus providing an inexpensive and flexible solution for fixing the hose clamp to the hose end section.

[0011] In a further development of the invention, the bent ends of the legs of the fastening element are sunk into the elastic material of the hose end section by applying a prestress.

[0012] This arrangement has the advantage that the bent ends do not protrude beyond the inner surface of the hose end section. This prevents damage to an inserted hose nipple during assembly.

[0013] In a further development of the invention, the at least one flat holding element has at least one bore.

[0014] The leg(s) of the staple-like fastening element are pierced through the hole(s) into the wall of the hose end section. This creates a positive fit and thus a better hold of the retaining element on the hose end section.

[0015] In a further development of the invention, the at least one bore or the bores in the holding element are designed as elongated holes.

[0016] Slotted holes make it easier to thread the legs of the fastener.

[0017] In a further development of the invention, the flat holding element has a T-shape, wherein the foot-side section of the T-shaped holding element is arranged on the clamp band and the staple-like fastening element is arranged between the clamp band and the head-side end of the T-shaped holding element, wherein the foot-side section of the holding element is clamped between the connecting web of the fastening element and the hose wall.

[0018] This type of arrangement increases the security against pulling the threshold off the hose end section, since the head end of the T-shaped holding element forms a type of lock with the legs of the fastening element pierced into the hose wall.

[0019] In a further development of the invention, the flat holding element is made of plastic.

[0020] The plastic design has the advantage that the legs of the fastening element can be inserted into the hose wall without prior drilling through the flat holding element.

[0021] In a further development of the invention, the flat holding element made of plastic has at least one region in which the wall thickness of the flat holding element is reduced.

[0022] The reduced wall thickness makes it easier to pierce the legs of the fastener.

[0023] In a further development of the invention, the flat holding element has a radially inwardly directed bend at its end associated with the end of the hose end section.

[0024] This bevel can serve as an axial stop when mounting the hose clamp onto the hose end section, thus facilitating installation.

[0025] An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawings. It shows: Fig. 1 a perspective top view of a clamp fixation according to the invention and Fig. 2 a partial cross-section of the clamp fixation according to the invention.

[0026] The Fig. 1shows a perspective top view of a clamp fixation according to the invention. A hose end section 1 has a hose clamp 2 with a clamp band 3 and a tensioning device 4. A retaining element 5 protrudes from the hose clamp 2 in the axial direction toward the end of the hose end section. Another retaining element 6 is visible here only in one end section.

[0027] The holding element 5 has two bores 7, through each of which a leg of a staple-like fastening element 8 (not visible here) protrudes and is pierced through the wall 9 of the hose end section 1. A connecting web 10, which connects the two legs of the staple-like fastening element 8 to each other, rests on the outside of the holding element 5 between the bores 7.

[0028] Another staple-like fastening element, which is arranged on the holding element 6 in a similar way to the holding element 5, is visible here only with its two ends 11 bent toward each other. Due to a prestress applied during bending, the two ends 11 are recessed into the wall 9 of the hose end section 1.

[0029] The holding elements 5 and 6 each have a radially inwardly directed bevel 12 and 13 at their ends, which act as an axial stop for positioning the hose clamp 2 on the hose end section 1.

[0030] In the Fig. 2 A partial cross-section of the clamp fixation according to the invention is shown. The clamp band 3 is wound around the hose end section 1 and is operatively connected to the tensioning device 4 in a known manner.

[0031] The retaining element 5 is pierced by the legs 14 of the fastening element 8 and projects through the wall 9 of the hose end section 1, with the ends 10 and 11 of the legs 14 being bent toward each other at almost a right angle and being recessed into the wall 9 of the hose end section 1 by the prestress applied in the process. As a result, the ends 10 and 11 do not protrude beyond the wall 9 of the hose end section 1 on the inside.

[0032] The connecting web 10 clamps the holding element 5 firmly to the hose end section 1 by means of the pre-tension, whereby a frictional and, thanks to the pierced legs 14, also a positive fixing of the hose clamp 2 is ensured. List of reference symbols (part of the description)
