Description

[0001] The present invention relates to the use of a housing device comprising an enveloping body and a mounting body.

[0002] From WO 2020 / 245613 A1, a preformed housing block made of concrete with an adapter plate made of metal is known.

[0003] A foundation system for street lamps is known from GB 1 204 783 A.

[0004] US 2015 / 263502 A1 discloses an underfloor enclosure with anti-theft protection. In this case, a cover is attached to a housing using a clamp.

[0005] A power supply system for garden lighting is known from JP 2011 200070 A.

[0006] The enclosure in question here defines an interior space and can therefore, for example, have a side wall and a floor wall. This interior space can be used to route a media line through or to temporarily store the end of a line during pre-assembly. To illustrate this, the enclosure can be used to develop the garden or outdoor areas of a building, for example, to later install a power connection or power consumer, such as a light, in the garden. The enclosure can be placed outside the building and connected to it at an early stage of construction or landscaping work; later, it will provide an easily accessible access point.

[0007] The present invention is based on the technical problem of specifying an advantageous use of a housing device with an enveloping body.

[0008] This is achieved according to the invention with the use according to claim 1. In this case, a mounting bracket is provided which is or will be provided on the envelope body and is used to attach a fastening body, e.g. a base or base part, such as for the luminaire in the example at the beginning. A special feature lies in the design and use of this mounting bracket, which on the one hand is made from a mounting support material which is hard plastic. On the other hand, the fastening body is not attached to the mounting bracket in a previously precisely defined (only possible) mounting position, but the hole for the screw for fastening is only made on site. This opens up flexibility; different fastening bodies can be mounted on the mounting bracket, these can differ, for example, in their size or also in their design (flange inside or outside, etc.).

[0009] If the hole is drilled "on-site" in the mounting support, the casing, for example, may already be installed in the ground at this point. Generally, the mounting support can be removed from the casing during or for drilling the hole, but it is preferably attached to the casing. This allows the mounting support to be securely held in position, which can be advantageous during drilling or screwing. Regardless of these details, on-site installation with the mounting support is easy to implement because the mounting support material, made of plastic or plastic, is easy to work with, and the plastic can generally provide a good hold for the screwed-in screw.

[0010] Preferred embodiments can be found throughout the disclosure and in particular in the dependent claims, whereby the presentation of the features does not always distinguish in detail between aspects of use, method, or device; in any case, the disclosure is to be understood implicitly with regard to all categories of claims.

[0011] The enveloping body is or will be installed "outside the building" in the ground, e.g. on the property of the building, but not in the building itself.

[0012] Installation in the ground can be achieved, at least partially, by filling the casing with bulk material, e.g., gravel, sand, and / or topsoil (although a lower section of the casing can also be encased in concrete, see details below). In relation to the property, the casing can be placed in the garden itself, for example, in a planted area (in the lawn or, for example, a flowerbed), or it can be provided or integrated adjacent to or into a garden path or another paved area (e.g., a terrace, etc.). It can also be positioned in the driveway, for example (e.g., outside the garden, but still on the property).

[0013] In this context, a "building" is considered a fully enclosed space, in particular the residential building itself, but also, for example, the garage or an outbuilding. However, the "outside the building" location should generally not preclude roofing, e.g., positioning in a carport in the driveway (although a completely outdoor location, i.e., open to the sky, is preferred). Regardless of this, the enclosing body is or will preferably be installed in the ground in such a way that the mounting support arranged on it is accessible from above without excavation, i.e., essentially flush with the upper edge of the floor structure (e.g., offset by no more than 10 cm or 5 cm upwards or downwards).

[0014] In general, the enveloping body and the mounting support can also be formed integrally or monolithically, i.e. made of the same continuous material. Preferably, the mounting support can be lifted or pivoted off the enveloping body so that its interior is then easily accessible. In the case of a one-piece / monolithic design, this can be achieved, for example, with a mounting support pivotably mounted on the enveloping body via a film hinge. Preferably, however, the two are made up of multiple pieces, i.e., they are or will be assembled together. In other words, the mounting support is then placed, for example, on the enveloping body; it can be arranged above the interior and / or extend downwards into it. Preferably, at least part of the interior remains free, i.e., the mounting support does not fill it completely; a remaining hollow space beneath the mounting support can be used, for example, for laying cables (e.g.The fastening element can then be attached to the mounting bracket from above, e.g., to a preferably flat, top surface of the mounting bracket facing away from the interior.

[0015] According to the invention, the mounting support, at least in one mounting area, has a thickness taken in the vertical direction of at least 2 cm and at most 20 cm, with further possible lower limits being, in increasing order of preference, at least 3 cm or 5 cm. Further possible upper limits can be, for example, a maximum of 15 cm or 12 cm. In the case of a thickness varying across the mounting area, an average value calculated over this is considered, although the thickness is preferably constant across the mounting area. Since the mounting area is designed for the arrangement of different fastening bodies, it can be larger than the fastening body actually applied. Horizontally, it occupies an area of at least 40 cm² and at most 1 m² (with further possible upper limits, for example, a maximum of 0.6 m², 0.4 m² or 0.2 m²). In principle, the entire mounting support can also be framed with a corresponding thickness, but it can, for example, also be thinner in edge areas etc.

[0016] With a sufficient minimum thickness, the hole can be designed as a blind hole, for example, terminating in the mounting bracket rather than through the mounting bracket. This allows the mounting bracket to serve as a cover for the interior, despite the hole. Furthermore, the "thick" design provides stability, for example, during screwing or with regard to a foundation function, as well as with regard to the stability of the mounted fastening body or the rest of the structure in general (e.g., light fixture, etc.).

[0017] According to the invention, the mounting substrate material is a hard plastic, e.g., PA, PE, or PC. The "hard plastic" can, for example, have a Shore hardness (D) of at least 50 Shore, 55 Shore, 60 Shore, 65 Shore, or 70 Shore, with possible upper limits being, for example, a maximum of 90 Shore or 85 Shore.

[0018] According to a preferred embodiment, the hole is created by drilling into the mounting support, i.e., drilled on-site (e.g., if the enclosure is already installed in the floor). Preferably, all holes that will be used for mounting the fastening body with screws are drilled on-site. In general, the top surface of the mounting support can preferably be flat, which can also be advantageous with regard to compatibility with different fastening bodies.

[0019] According to a preferred embodiment, a dowel is inserted into the hole on site (e.g., with the casing already installed in the ground), and the screw is screwed into or into the dowel. The dowel can generally also expand on a bottom side opposite the top side of the mounting body, and can therefore be designed, for example, as a toggle dowel (e.g., a spring-loaded toggle dowel) or a cavity or expansion dowel and inserted into a through hole in the mounting support. Preferably, however, the dowel also expands at least on a surface bordering the hole, and is preferably inserted into a blind hole (see above). The dowel can, for example, be designed as a plastic expansion dowel, e.g., have an inner diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the screw, and can be pressed against the surface bordering the hole when the screw is screwed in.

[0020] Compared to directly screwing in the screw, which is generally also possible, the use of a dowel can also be advantageous in that it allows the use of a mounting kit supplied as standard with the mounting body, which may, for example, be designed for mounting on a concrete base. This also allows the use of the screws supplied by the manufacturer with the mounting body, such as the light base, thus avoiding problems such as differences in corrosion resistance between the screw and the mounting body.

[0021] In general, the mounting support preferably forms a cover, i.e., covering the interior space from above, except for a passage for cables, etc. Such a passage can be prefabricated, i.e., already provided at the factory, but can also be installed on-site. In the case of prefabrication, a plug, e.g., made of an elastomer material, can close the passage until it is used for cable routing.

[0022] In general, the mounting bracket can also simply rest on the casing, i.e. be held in position, for example, solely due to its weight and / or by being filled with bulk material or by being embedded in a surface covering (paving stones, etc.). According to a preferred embodiment, however, it is attached to the casing; for example, a clamping ring with a collar can enclose superimposed flanges of the casing and mounting bracket and hold them together vertically. Alternatively or additionally, the mounting bracket can also be screwed to the casing. The mounting bracket can, for example, have a downward-facing collar on its outer circumference, with which it engages over the casing. One screw or several screws can be inserted through this collar and hold the mounting bracket to the casing.A particularly advantageous embodiment can be that such a screw then passes from the outside to the inside first through the collar of the mounting support and then through the casing body in order to penetrate into an inner section of the mounting support, which creates stability.

[0023] A preferred embodiment involves installing the casing in the ground, namely, a lower section of it is filled with concrete. While the concrete can generally enclose the casing over its entire height, an upper section is preferably free of it, i.e., it contains no concrete, but rather, for example, bulk material or a surface covering. (Partial) encasing in concrete can create stability, also with a view to the later base function; on the other hand, leaving the upper section free can, for example, allow for the replacement of the mounting support or for the upper edge of the floor to be machined flush with the mounting support (e.g., the topsoil or a floor covering).

[0024] In general, the casing can, for example, also be tubular, i.e., open at the top and bottom, such as in the form of a ribbed tube. Preferably, however, it is pot-shaped, i.e., in addition to the side wall, it also has a bottom wall that delimits the interior at the bottom. A protective pipe laid in the ground is or is preferably connected to the casing. This pipe opens into the interior of the casing and can, in particular, simplify the subsequent laying of a cable. This protective pipe can be connected to the casing via its side wall, i.e., run essentially horizontally into the casing. In an alternative preferred embodiment, it is arranged on the bottom wall of the casing, for example, inserted into a receiving opening in the floor wall. Such casings are known per se as floor penetrations, i.e., they are cast into the floor slab of a building.

[0025] Preferably, the outer casing on the building's exterior is connected to the mounting support via the protective pipe to a penetration installed in the building, which may in particular be a floor penetration. Preferably, the outer casing on the building's exterior and this floor penetration are then structurally identical to one another, i.e., identical parts are used in very different applications (which can be advantageous, for example, with regard to standardization in production or tool utilization). The protective pipe can extend between the building penetration (in particular the floor penetration) and the outer casing over at least 1 m, 2 m, or 3 m, for example; possible upper limits can be, for example, a maximum of 30 m, 25 m, or 20 m.

[0026] A so-called street cap, for example, can also be used as an enveloping body, which is otherwise installed in the road area, namely embedded in the surface layer and, for example, keeps access to a rotary valve free. Such a street cap can, in particular, be designed to be telescopic, i.e., have a lower part and an upper part guided on it that can be adjusted vertically. As the enveloping body in the present sense, the lower part alone can then, for example, be used, with the upper part being replaced by the mounting support. However, a street cap can also be used independently of its telescopic nature (and the complete replacement of the upper part), since an upper opening in the street cap is always closed with a cover. This cover can form the mounting support in the present sense or can be replaced by a corresponding mounting support.

[0027] According to a preferred embodiment, a media line is routed through the enclosing body, and the mounting body supports a media consumer or consumer connection to which the media line is connected. Generally, the medium can also be water or data, for example, so a water connection or consumer (e.g., a garden shower) can be mounted via the mounting body, or a radio module, in particular a WLAN module, can be mounted on the mounting support and connected via a data line.

[0028] Preferably, however, the medium is electrical, meaning the media line is a power line. The media consumer connection can therefore be, for example, a garden socket, e.g. for plugging in electric garden tools as needed, or a charging station. An electrical consumer, such as a robotic lawnmower or, in particular, an electric vehicle such as a car or motorcycle, can be charged via the charging station. Likewise, an electrical consumer can be attached directly to the mounting bracket, e.g. a light or a heat pump. Regardless of the specific consumer / consumer connection, the casing with its interior can, for example, simplify cable laying, allowing excess lengths to be stored away. On the other hand, the mounting bracket creates stability, meaning the entire system consisting of the casing and mounting bracket can also serve as a base.

[0029] According to a preferred embodiment, the media line, which is connected to the consumer connection supported by the mounting body on the outside of the building, is connected to a consumer-side end of the corresponding media house connection on the inside of the building. The media house connection can, for example, comprise a building inlet, such as a floor duct (see above), to which a meter, for example, can be connected toward the consumer-side end. In the case of the power line, its inside-building end can be connected to the house connection, for example, via a fuse box.

[0030] Furthermore, a variant not found in the granted claims is to be disclosed, in which the installation and fastening or connection steps are divided into a preliminary assembly and a subsequent final assembly. During the pre-assembly, the enveloping body is installed in the ground; preferably, a protective pipe is also laid between the enveloping body and the building, i.e., the interior of the enveloping body is connected to the building via the protective pipe. In this case, the interior of the enveloping body is or will be closed, i.e., covered at the top. The corresponding closure can already be formed by the mounting support itself, but alternatively, a cover can also be provided, which is then later supplemented or, in particular, replaced by the mounting support.

[0031] Between pre-assembly and final assembly, the interior is always sealed, and then opened during final assembly. This can simplify the installation of the media line, for example, when it is pushed into the protective conduit, or be advantageous for possible connection work, for example, if a corresponding connection point is to be located inside the enclosure. After final assembly, i.e., screwing on the fastening body and connecting the consumer / consumer connection, the interior is preferably sealed again at the top, particularly preferably by the mounting bracket itself.

[0032] In a preferred embodiment, the mounting support has a recess, with the attached fastening body then being arranged at least partially within this recess, which, for example, creates stability. As a result of this arrangement, a horizontal plane can intersect both the mounting support and the fastening body. The fastening body can also be completely accommodated in the recess, thus forming, for example, a recessed housing for a radio module (in particular a WLAN module) or a floor lamp.

[0033] In an alternative embodiment to complete submersion, a column is attached to the mounting support, which rises vertically above the mounting support by at least 25 cm, and more preferably by at least 40 cm or 50 cm (possible upper limits may be, for example, a maximum of 2 m or 1.5 m). Either the mounting body itself can form this column, but it can also simply represent a base for it, which then supports the actual column.

[0034] In the following, the invention is explained in more detail with reference to exemplary embodiments, whereby the individual features may also be essential to the invention in other combinations within the scope of the independent claims.

[0035] In detail, Figure 1 shows a housing device installed in the ground with a fastening body attached thereto, namely a base of a luminaire; Figure 2 shows an overview of the installation situation with a building and external enveloping bodies; Figure 3 shows a Figure 1 alternative combination of enveloping body and mounting support; Figure 4 an alternative mounting support for the arrangement according to Figure 3 , which is additionally provided with a recess.

[0036] Figure 1shows an enveloping body 1 installed in a floor 2. The enveloping body 1 has a side wall 1.1 and a floor wall 1.2 and defines an interior space 3. A protective pipe 5 laid in the floor 2 opens through the floor wall 1.2 into the interior space 3, which serves for the installation of a media line 6. A mounting bracket 7 is placed on the enveloping body 1, which in turn supports a fastening body 8. In this case, the fastening body 8 is a column 9 that supports a light 10 at its upper end.

[0037] The fastening body 8 has a flange 8.1, via which it is fastened to the mounting bracket 7 with screws 11. The screws 11 are each located in a hole 12 of the mounting bracket 7, with an additional dowel 13 inserted into each hole 12. The mounting bracket 7 is made of polymer concrete, and the holes 12 are only drilled on site, i.e., during the installation of the fastening body 8. This allows for flexibility; for example, depending on requirements, fastening bodies 8 of different sizes or mounting brackets from different manufacturers can be attached to the mounting bracket 7.

[0038] In this case, the upper section of the soil 2 is constructed from bulk material 2.1, while a lower section 1a of the casing 1 is enclosed by concrete 2.2. This provides stability; the casing 1 with the mounting support 7 also serves as a foundation. A lower section of the soil 2 is constructed from compacted gravel 2.3, within which the protective pipe 5 is laid. On the outside, the casing 1 is framed with ribs, which increases its hold in the soil 2, particularly in the concrete 2.2. For stable fixation, the mounting support 7 is also bolted to the casing 1; namely, screws 14 are inserted laterally into a collar 7.1 of the mounting support 7.

[0039] Figure 2shows an overview of a building 20, wherein several enveloping bodies 1 are located outside the building 20, but still on the property 21, i.e. in the garden or in a driveway or on / in a path etc. A fastening body 8 is mounted on each of the two enveloping bodies 1, which in the example on the left carries the light 10 and in the example on the right a charging station 22 for electric vehicles. The reference number 21.1 references the building footprint, the reference numbers 21.2 and 21.3 the garden and the driveway. The enveloping bodies 1 are each installed in the ground 2, which, for example, in the case of the garden 21.2 can be made up of subsoil, a layer of gravel with topsoil on top, whereas in the case of the driveway 21.3, for example, it can be made up of subsoil, possibly frost protection gravel, base layer(s), bedding and surface, such as paving.

[0040] A respective protective pipe 5 runs through the floor 2 from the building 20 to each of the enclosures 1, in which a respective media line (not shown here) is laid, in this case a power cable. The protective pipes 5 are connected to a house extension 23, namely a pot-shaped penetration concreted into the floor slab 24 of the building 20. The power cable(s) are connected to a fuse box 25, from where they run via the house extension 23 into the respective protective pipe 5 and through the respective enclosure 1 to the respective media consumer or consumer connection 26.

[0041] Figure 3 shows analog Figure 1 a casing 1 onto which a massive mounting support 7 is placed. This is, in contrast to Figure 1 However, it is not made of polymer concrete, but of polycarbonate. The procedure for mounting the fastening body 8 is the same as in Figure 1In general, throughout the present disclosure, the same reference numerals designate the same part or parts with the same function, and reference is always made to the description of the respective other figures. Therefore, only the differences will be discussed in more detail below.

[0042] The enveloping body 1 according to Figure 3is constructed on the basis of a surface cap 30, whereby in the example shown, only its lower part 30.1 is used, namely an upper part (not shown here) has been completely replaced by the mounting bracket 7. In an alternative possible embodiment, the upper part can be left on the lower part 30.1 and the mounting bracket can only replace a cover of the surface cap. The surface cap 30 or its lower part 30.1 is placed on a pot-shaped base body 31, into which the protective tube 5, unlike in Figure 1, runs from the side rather than from below. However, it opens into the interior space 3, which is available for line or cable routing, etc.

[0043] In contrast to Figure 1The mounting support 7 is not positioned in a predetermined position on the casing 1, but can be slightly offset during the construction of the base 2 and thus embedded flush with the ground. This applies analogously if, instead of the mounting support 7 shown, the upper part of the surface cap 30 were placed on the lower part 30.1; this could also be embedded flush, for example, during soil compaction. This variant can therefore be of particular interest in paths or driveways.

[0044] Figure 4 shows one to Figure 3 alternative mounting bracket 7, which is provided with a recess 40. The fastening body 8, which in this example is a housing of a floor lamp 41, can be inserted into this recess from above.
