Description

[0001] The invention relates to a heating system for a building, a heating device for the heating system and a connection element for the heating system.

[0002] It is common practice to use flue gas adapters to connect flue gas pipe systems or combined flue gas / intake air pipe systems to heating appliances, such as boilers or water heaters. With the GAR (Gas Appliance Regulation), which came into force on April 21, 2018, stricter requirements are imposed on safety-related components and fittings compared to the existing GAD (Gas Appliance Directive). To ensure that all fittings (safety-related components, etc.) are leak-proof, it has been proposed that the flue gas adapter either be mounted directly on the boiler or that it be ensured that only flue gas adapters approved for the specific heating appliance can be used (Poka-Yoke). For the latter case, for example, additional, corresponding connecting elements, such as specific hole patterns on the heating appliance, have been suggested (see [reference]). Fig. 1) and to attach corresponding pin patterns to the exhaust adapter to ensure that only certain exhaust adapters (namely those with a matching pin pattern) can be connected to the heater.

[0003] EP1 201 994 A2 relates to a boiler connection piece for connecting boilers to exhaust systems, comprising an internal exhaust pipe section and an associated, concentric, external air intake pipe section, each of which can be connected to concentric connection spigots of the exhaust system via a sliding sleeve. The boiler connection piece can be supported by a fixing device at the edge of a connection opening of the boiler and lowered by releasing this fixing device. The fixing device has a bayonet ring surrounding the air intake pipe section, which is radially supported at the edge of the connection opening and has radially inwardly projecting, circumferentially distributed retaining projections. In a first rotational position, these projections engage radial support projections on the outer circumference of the air intake pipe section, and in a second rotational position, they release these projections for axial displacement.

[0004] DE 20 2018103316 U1 discloses a thermal device, in particular a heat pump, with a housing which is designed with an opening for the selective supply and / or discharge of a fluid medium, in particular as a grid. First connecting elements can be designed in the form of recesses on the device opening and second connecting elements can be designed in the form of hooks on the grid, so that they can preferably interact in a bayonet-like manner.

[0005] EP 3 396 246 A1 discloses a boiler connection piece for the exhaust system of a heat generator, including a measuring point system for exhaust gas measurement or for taking a sample of the exhaust gas. A flange ring of the boiler connection piece and a sealing ring are proposed for connection to the heat generator.

[0006] However, such additional connectors increase manufacturing complexity and can often hinder efforts to provide the most compact adapters possible. Furthermore, these additional connectors can complicate the installation of the heating system.

[0007] It is therefore an object of the invention to at least partially solve the problems described with reference to the prior art and, in particular, to provide an improved heating system in which it can be ensured that the exhaust gas / intake air pipe system is connected to the heating appliance as securely as possible. In particular, only certain connection elements (exhaust gas adapters) should be usable. At the same time, these connection elements should be as simple and / or compact to manufacture and as easy to install or mount as possible.

[0008] This problem is solved according to the features of claim 1. Advantageous embodiments result from the features of the dependent claims.

[0009] This includes a heating system for a building, comprising a heating appliance and an exhaust / intake air duct system. The exhaust / intake air duct system is fluidically connectable to the heating appliance via a (common) connection element. This connection element is mechanically connectable to the heating appliance via a bayonet fitting, and the bayonet fitting includes a locking element arrangement that prevents the bayonet fitting from being opened (releasably) after being closed by a predetermined angle of rotation. Furthermore, at least one section of the exhaust / intake air duct system is mechanically connectable to the connection element by means of at least one fixing element. This section of the exhaust / intake air duct system could, for example, be the lower end of the intake air duct.It is proposed that the at least one fixing element comprises a positive-locking fixing element. The positive-locking fixing element can, for example, be designed and / or arranged, or (in the assembled state) positioned, such that it axially secures the exhaust / intake air pipe system relative to the connection element. In other words, this can also be described, in particular, as the positive-locking fixing element preventing axial loosening or slippage of the exhaust / intake air pipe system (along the central axis of the connection element) from the connection element. For example, the positive-locking fixing element can be in the form of a clip or be a clip itself. For instance, the positive-locking fixing element can be a pin-shaped clip. Preferably, exactly one positive-locking fixing element is provided.

[0010] The heating system is typically used to heat a building, such as a residential building, and / or, in particular, to heat a water system, such as a water circuit within the residential building. The heating appliance is usually a gas-fired boiler. In other words, this refers specifically to a heating appliance designed to burn one or more gases, possibly with the addition of ambient air from a building, to generate energy for heating, for example, water for use in a dwelling. The heating appliance could, for instance, be a so-called condensing gas boiler. The heating appliance typically has at least one burner (with a combustion chamber) and a conveying device, such as a fan, that delivers a mixture of fuel (gas) and combustion air (through a mixing channel in the heating appliance) to the burner.

[0011] The exhaust / intake air duct system typically comprises an exhaust pipe and an intake air duct. The exhaust pipe may be routed at least partially (coaxially) within the intake air duct. The exhaust pipe serves to remove exhaust gases from the heating appliance. The intake air duct supplies ambient air to the heating appliance to function as combustion air.

[0012] The connection element can, for example, be in the form of an adapter. In this context, the connection element can, for instance, represent an exhaust gas adapter or an exhaust gas / intake air adapter.

[0013] The bayonet connection can be configured or designed so that only specific connection elements, for example, only those approved for use with the heating appliance, can be connected to it. For instance, the heating appliance may have a typical or type-specific bayonet connection element. In this context, the connection element may have a corresponding bayonet connection element. The bayonet connection may, for example, feature a locking element arrangement that prevents the bayonet connection from being opened again after it has been closed by a predetermined angle of rotation. A locking element of the locking element arrangement may, for example, be provided on the heating appliance side of the bayonet connection. For example, a locking element on the connection element side of the bayonet connection can be provided for the locking element arrangement.

[0014] The locking elements on the heating element side and the locking elements on the connection element side are generally designed to correspond to each other. For example, the locking elements on the heating element side and / or the shape or contour of the bayonet connection element on the heating element side can be designed or shaped in such a way that only connection elements with a bayonet connection element on the connection element side and the locking element on the connection element side of the locking element arrangement can be (securely) connected to the heating element.

[0015] Furthermore, the predetermined angle of rotation can also contribute to characterizing the bayonet connection. For example, the angle of rotation can be predetermined to a value in the range of 5° to 15°. Preferably, the angle of rotation can be predetermined to approximately 10°.

[0016] In an advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the locking element arrangement comprises a ramp element and a locking lug element. For example, the ramp element can form the locking element on the heating element side and the locking lug element the locking element on the connection element side. The ramp element is particularly arranged and oriented such that its ramp has a slope in the circumferential direction.

[0017] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that at least one detent element of the detent element arrangement be deflectable or disengageable (in the radial direction) relative to another detent element of the detent element arrangement. For example, the detent lug element (in the radial direction) can be deflectable or disengageable relative to the ramp element. A (separate) tool may be required for deflection or disengagement, which can, for example, reach the detent element arrangement through a disassembly opening in the connecting element.

[0018] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the at least one fixing element comprises a force-locking fixing element. The force-locking fixing element can, for example, be designed and / or arranged, or (in the assembled state) positioned, in such a way as to prevent unintentional twisting or rotation of the exhaust / intake air pipe system (about the central axis of the connection element) relative to or within the connection element. For example, the force-locking fixing element can be a screw. Preferably, two force-locking fixing elements are provided.

[0019] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the connecting element be formed, at least partially, in a ring shape around a central axis, and that a longitudinal axis of the at least one fixing element, when connected, forms an angle with the central axis in the range of 45° to 90°. This can advantageously contribute to making the connecting element as compact as possible, and in particular, comparatively flat. Preferably, the angle is in the range of 60° to 90°, and particularly preferably in the range of 75° to 98°. If several fixing elements are provided, it is further preferred that the longitudinal axes of all fixing elements each form an angle with the central axis in the range of 45° to 90° (or an angle according to one of the aforementioned further preferred ranges).

[0020] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that at least one measuring opening for inserting a measuring lance into the exhaust gas / intake air pipe system is formed externally on the connection element. Preferably, two measuring openings, in particular an exhaust gas measuring opening and an intake air measuring opening, are formed externally on the connection element. The at least one measuring opening can, for example, be integrated into or molded onto the exhaust gas / intake air pipe system. This can help to eliminate the need for a measuring opening in or on the connection element, thus allowing the connection element to be designed as compactly as possible.

[0021] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the connecting element be plate-shaped. The connecting element can have a maximum extension of 10 cm [centimeters] along its central axis. This can also contribute to making the connecting element as compact as possible.

[0022] In a further advantageous embodiment, it is proposed that the connecting element be formed from plastic. Preferably, the connecting element is formed in one piece. Furthermore, the (one-piece) connecting element can be formed (entirely) from plastic.

[0023] Another aspect is considered when proposing a heating appliance for a heating system described here.

[0024] Another aspect is addressed by proposing a connection element for a heating system as described here.
