Description

[0001] The invention relates to a transport container for receiving goods, which comprises a base plate and a locking device for locking to a transfer station. The invention also relates to a system for transporting goods, which comprises at least one transport container according to the invention.

[0002] Systems for transporting goods that utilize automated guided vehicles are known. Using such an automated guided vehicle, transport containers, such as boxes or pallets, can be transported, in particular, to defined transfer stations. The transport containers serve to hold the goods to be transported. The automated guided vehicles position the transport containers containing the goods to be transported at a transfer station, where they are ready for a recipient.

[0003] Delivering goods, especially to private recipients, is a significant effort and expense for suppliers. A particular problem is that private recipients receive goods irregularly and are often not physically present to receive ordered goods. If a transport container with goods is simply left on a property, there is a risk of theft of the goods or the transport container containing the goods. As a result, ordered goods often have to be delivered multiple times and stored in the meantime in the absence of the recipient.

[0004] From DE 10 2013 013 021 A1 a storage system with a chain drive is known, which has a chain that can be driven by means of a sprocket, wherein a storage floor, in particular for receiving transported goods, can be moved by the chain.

[0005] From US 2020 / 0040625 A1 a locking device for a refrigerator is known, which has a first locking block and a second locking block.

[0006] From DE 2 124 828 A a snap lock for external operation by means of a pressure pin is known.

[0007] From EP 3 287 400 A1 a delivery system is known which comprises a delivery vehicle for transporting a delivery box and a carrier vehicle for transporting the delivery vehicle.

[0008] From DE 102 32 469 A1 a transport system is known which comprises a transport container and a transport trolley.

[0009] A protective device for an electrical control cabinet is known from WO 2020 / 258407 A1.

[0010] From DE 30 40 479 A1 a container is known which has a bottom consisting of two lockable flaps.

[0011] US 2018 / 0330561 A1 discloses a system and method for delivering goods. A transport container for receiving goods is provided, which can be locked to a transport vehicle. US 2018 / 330561 A1 discloses a transport container according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0012] GB 2 360 197 A discloses a securing system for transport containers. The system comprises two arms to which a transport container can be locked. The arms can pivot around a horizontal axis.

[0013] From KR 10-1807698 B1 a transport container is known which can be attached to a drone.

[0014] The invention is based on the object of improving a transport container for holding goods and a system for transporting goods.

[0015] The object is achieved according to the invention by a transport container for accommodating goods having the features specified in claim 1. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the subclaims. The object is also achieved according to the invention by a system for transporting goods having the features specified in claim 10. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the subclaims.

[0016] A transport container according to the invention for receiving goods comprises a base plate and a locking device for locking to a transfer station. The locking device has at least one carriage which is movable in a longitudinal direction relative to the base plate and which comprises at least one locking bolt. The at least one carriage is arranged and designed such that when a mandrel is inserted into an insertion opening of the base plate in a vertical direction, the at least one carriage moves in the longitudinal direction counter to a spring force, and that in the absence of a mandrel in the insertion opening, the spring force acts on the at least one carriage such that the at least one locking bolt protrudes partially in the longitudinal direction from an end face of the base plate. The longitudinal direction runs at right angles to the vertical direction.

[0017] The transport container according to the invention can be automatically locked with a transfer station. By removing the pin from the insertion opening, the locking bolt extends and locks with a corresponding counterpart, for example, a grooved rail. By inserting the pin, the locking bolt is drawn into the base plate, and the locking is released.

[0018] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one carriage has a contact surface for contact with a mandrel, wherein the contact surface extends at an angle to the longitudinal direction and at an angle to the vertical direction. The carriage thus has an inclined contact surface that slides along the mandrel.

[0019] According to an advantageous development of the invention, the at least one slide comprises two locking bolts, which are arranged offset from one another in a transverse direction. The transverse direction runs at right angles to the vertical direction and at right angles to the longitudinal direction. With two locking bolts, the locking force of the locking device is increased.

[0020] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the locking device comprises a first carriage and a second carriage, which are arranged and designed such that when a mandrel is inserted into a first insertion opening of the base plate in the vertical direction, the first carriage moves in the longitudinal direction against a spring force, and in the absence of a mandrel in the first insertion opening, the spring force acts on the first carriage such that the at least one locking bolt of the first carriage partially protrudes in the longitudinal direction from a first end face of the base plate, and in the absence of a mandrel in the second insertion opening of the base plate in the vertical direction, the second carriage moves in the longitudinal direction against a spring force, and in the absence of a mandrel in the second insertion opening, the spring force acts on the second carriage such thatthat the at least one locking bolt of the second slide partially protrudes in the longitudinal direction from a second end face of the base plate. The second end face is located longitudinally opposite the first end face. With two slides arranged in this way, the locking force of the locking device is significantly increased.

[0021] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the locking device has at least one locking pin movable in the longitudinal direction relative to the base plate. A spring force acts on the at least one locking pin such that, in the absence of a counterforce, the at least one locking pin partially protrudes in the longitudinal direction from an end face of the base plate. The locking pin serves to fix the transport container to a corresponding counterpart, for example, to a grooved rail, while the mandrel is moved into or out of the insertion opening.

[0022] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the at least one locking pin has a locking surface for contact with a grooved rail, wherein the locking surface extends at an angle to the longitudinal direction and at an angle to the vertical direction. The locking pin thus has an inclined locking surface that slides along the grooved rail during vertical movement of the transport container.

[0023] According to an advantageous development of the invention, the locking device has at least two locking bolts which are arranged offset from one another in a transverse direction.

[0024] According to a preferred development of the invention, the locking device has at least two locking pins, wherein a spring force acts on one of the locking pins in such a way that, in the absence of a counterforce, said locking pin partially protrudes in the longitudinal direction from a first end face of the base plate, and wherein a spring force acts on one of the locking pins in such a way that, in the absence of a counterforce, said locking pin partially protrudes in the longitudinal direction from a second end face of the base plate.

[0025] According to an advantageous development of the invention, the locking device comprises at least one attraction plate made of a ferromagnetic material, which is arranged such that a mandrel inserted into the insertion opening comes into contact with the attraction plate. If the mandrel has a magnet, this interacts with the attraction plate to secure the transport container during transport.

[0026] A system according to the invention for transporting goods comprises at least one transport container according to the invention, at least one driverless transport vehicle for transporting the at least one transport container, and at least one transfer station with which the at least one transport container can be locked. The system according to the invention allows the transport container to be transported by means of the driverless transport vehicle and the transport container to be locked to the transfer station.

[0027] According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one transfer station has at least one grooved rail, which cooperates with at least one locking bolt and / or with at least one locking bolt of the locking device of the transport container to lock a transport container to the transfer station. The grooved rail thus enables the transport container to be locked to the transfer station.

[0028] According to an advantageous development of the invention, the at least one driverless transport vehicle has a first mandrel and a second mandrel, wherein the mandrels are arranged and configured such that each mandrel can be simultaneously inserted into an insertion opening in the base plate of a transport container. The two mandrels enable the control of two carriages of the transport container. In addition, the two mandrels secure the base plate of the transport container in a form-fitting manner during transport.

[0029] According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, at least one of the mandrels has a magnet, whereby the magnet interacts with at least one tightening plate of the transport container when the mandrel is inserted into the insertion opening of the base plate. The mandrel interacts with the tightening plate to secure the transport container during transport by the transport vehicle.

[0030] According to an advantageous development of the invention, the at least one driverless transport vehicle has a lifting plate made of a ferromagnetic material, on which the

[0031] Mandrels are arranged. The mandrels are also made of a ferromagnetic material. This design, if at least one of the mandrels has a magnet, creates a magnetic circuit through the mandrels, the lifting plate, and the pull-on plate of the transport container. This provides even better security for the transport container during transport by the transport vehicle.

[0032] The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiments shown in the drawings. The drawings only represent the subject matter of the invention schematically. They show: Figure 1: a system for transporting goods, Figure 2: a plan view of a base plate of a transport container, Figure 3: a sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 2 , Figure 4: a sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2, Figure 5: another sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2 , Figure 6: another sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2 , Figure 7: another sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 2 , Figure 8: another sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 2 , Figure 9: another plan view of the base plate of the transport container, Figure 10: another sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2 , Figure 11: a section through a base plate on a lifting plate according to a modification and Figure 12: a sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 11 .

[0033] Figure 1shows a system 10 for transporting goods. The system 10 comprises a container for receiving goods, a driverless transport vehicle (not shown here) for transporting the transport container 20, and a transfer station 40. In the illustration shown here, the transport container 20 is positioned at the transfer station 40 and locked to it. The system 10 is used here to deliver goods to a private recipient. The transfer station 40 is located, for example, in front of a residential building in which the private recipient lives.

[0034] The transfer station 40 has an approximately U-shaped cross-section and comprises a first side leg 41, a second side leg 42 and a third side leg 43. The first side leg 41 and the second side leg 42 run parallel to each other and extend in a transverse direction Y. The third side leg 43 runs in a longitudinal direction X and connects the first side leg 41 and the second side leg 42. The side legs 41, 42, 43 are arranged on a frame and are spaced from a floor in a vertical direction Z.

[0035] The vertical direction Z runs perpendicular to the ground. The transverse direction Y runs perpendicular to the vertical direction Z. The longitudinal direction X runs perpendicular to the transverse direction Y and perpendicular to the vertical direction Z. The longitudinal direction X and the transverse direction Y thus run horizontally and perpendicular to the ground.

[0036] The frame is firmly anchored in the ground. This protects the transfer station 40 against theft. The first side leg 41 and the second side leg 42 are spaced apart from each other in the longitudinal direction X. A receiving area for receiving the transport container 20 is formed between said side legs 41, 42.

[0037] The driverless transport vehicle (not shown here) comprises a chassis and a plurality of road wheels. At least some of the road wheels are driven by a motor. The driverless transport vehicle also includes an electrical energy storage device to power the motor. At least some of the road wheels are steerable. Alternatively, the driverless transport vehicle has differential steering. The road wheels are not steerable, but by varying the speeds of the road wheels 34 on both sides, the driverless transport vehicle is steerable, similar to the track drive of a tank or an excavator.

[0038] The driverless transport vehicle further comprises a lifting unit, by means of which a transport container 20 located on the transport vehicle can be moved relative to the chassis in the vertical direction Z. For this purpose, the lifting unit has a lifting plate 35, which is explained in the following figures.

[0039] The transport container 20 comprises a base housing 23, a base plate 8, and a lid 24. The base plate 8 is firmly connected to the base housing 23. The lid is pivotable relative to the base housing 23. In the illustration shown here, the base housing 23 is closed by the lid 24. The base housing 23, the base plate 8, and the lid 24 surround a hollow space, concealed here, into which goods to be transported can be inserted.

[0040] The transport container 20 has a locking device that interacts with the driverless transport vehicle and the transfer station 40. In particular, the transport container 20 can be locked to the transfer station 40 by means of the locking device, thus protecting it from theft.

[0041] The transport container 20 also has a locking module (not shown here), by means of which the lid 24 can be locked to the base housing 23. When the lid 24 is locked to the base housing 23, goods located in the cavity 25 are protected from unauthorized access.

[0042] To transport goods using system 10, the goods to be transported to the transfer station 40 are first inserted into the cavity of the transport container 20. The lid 23 of the transport container 20 is then closed and locked to the base housing 23 by the locking module. The transport container 20 is fixed to the automated guided vehicle or locked to it. The transport container 20 is then transported by the automated guided vehicle to the transfer station 40 and locked at the transfer station 40.

[0043] Figure 2shows a plan view of a base plate 8 with a locking device of a transport container 20. The locking device is arranged largely in the base plate 8. In the illustration shown here, the transport container 20 is located on an automated guided vehicle and is being transported by it to a transfer station 40.

[0044] The base plate 8 has a first insertion opening 51 and a second insertion opening 52. The insertion openings 51, 52 are arranged offset from one another in the longitudinal direction X. The base plate 8 has a first end face 81 and a second end face 82. The end faces 81, 82 run parallel to one another and perpendicular to the longitudinal direction X. The first insertion opening 51 is arranged near the first end face 81, and the second insertion opening 52 is arranged near the second end face 82.

[0045] The locking device has a first carriage 21, which is movable in the longitudinal direction X relative to the base plate 8. The first carriage 21 comprises two locking bolts 3, which are arranged offset from one another in the transverse direction Y. The locking device also has a second carriage 22, which is movable in the longitudinal direction X relative to the base plate 8. The second carriage 22 also comprises two locking bolts 3, which are arranged offset from one another in the transverse direction Y.

[0046] The driverless transport vehicle has a first mandrel 11 and a second mandrel 12, which extend parallel to each other in the vertical direction Z. The mandrels 11, 12 are arranged offset from each other in the longitudinal direction X. The first mandrel 11 is inserted in the vertical direction Z into the first insertion opening 51 of the base plate 8, and the second mandrel 12 is inserted in the vertical direction Z into the second insertion opening 52 of the base plate 8.

[0047] When the first mandrel 11 is inserted into the first insertion opening 51, the first slide 21 moves in the longitudinal direction X against a spring force. The first slide 21 is moved away from the first end face 81 in such a way that the locking bolts 3 of the first slide 21 are located completely within the base plate 8.

[0048] When the second mandrel 12 is inserted into the second insertion opening 52, the second carriage 22 moves in the longitudinal direction X against a spring force. The second carriage 22 is moved away from the second end face 82 in such a way that the locking bolts 3 of the second carriage 21 are located completely within the base plate 8.

[0049] The locking device has several, in this case four, locking pins 4. The locking pins 4 are each movable in the longitudinal direction X relative to the base plate 8 and are acted upon by a spring force.

[0050] Two locking pins 4 are arranged offset from one another in the transverse direction Y and are acted upon by a spring force such that, in the absence of a counterforce, said locking pins 4 partially protrude in the longitudinal direction X from the first end face 81 of the base plate 8. In the illustration shown here, said locking pins 4 partially protrude in the longitudinal direction X from the first end face 81 of the base plate 8.

[0051] Two further locking pins 4 are also arranged offset from one another in the transverse direction Y and are acted upon by a spring force such that, in the absence of a counterforce, said locking pins 4 partially protrude in the longitudinal direction X from the second end face 82 of the base plate 8. In the illustration shown here, said locking pins 4 partially protrude in the longitudinal direction X from the second end face 82 of the base plate 8.

[0052] Figure 3shows a sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 2 The first carriage 21 has a contact surface 53 for contact with a mandrel 11, 12. The contact surface 53 of the first carriage 21 runs inclined to the longitudinal direction X and inclined to the vertical direction Z. The second carriage 22 also has a contact surface 53 for contact with a mandrel 11, 12. The contact surface 53 of the second carriage 22 runs inclined to the longitudinal direction X and inclined to the vertical direction Z.

[0053] The mandrels 11, 12 are arranged on a lifting plate 35 of the automated guided vehicle. As already mentioned, the mandrels 11, 12 are inserted in the vertical direction Z into the insertion openings 51, 52 of the base plate 8. This fixes the transport container 20 on the automated guided vehicle and secures it against horizontal displacement.

[0054] Figure 4shows a sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2 The locking pins 4 each have a locking surface 54 for contact with a grooved rail 5 of the transfer station 40. The locking surfaces 54 extend at an angle to the longitudinal direction X and at an angle to the vertical direction Z.

[0055] Figure 5 shows a further sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2The automated guided vehicle with the transport container 20 is located in the transfer station 40. The transfer station 40 has two grooved rails 5, which cooperate with the locking bolts 3 and the locking bolts 4 of the locking device of the transport container 20 to lock the transport container 20. One of the grooved rails 5 is arranged on the first side leg 41, and one of the grooved rails 5 is arranged on the second side leg 42. The grooved rails 5 have a U-shaped cross-section and extend parallel to one another in the transverse direction Y.

[0056] By means of the lifting unit, the lifting plate 35 with the transport container 20 located thereon is moved upwards in the vertical direction Z. The locking surfaces 54 of the locking pins 4 come into contact with the grooved rails 5. This generates a counterforce which presses the locking pins 4 into the base plate 8 against the spring force.

[0057] Figure 6 shows a further sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2 The transport container 20 is moved upward in the vertical direction Z such that the locking surfaces 54 are not in contact with the grooved rails 5. The locking pins 4 are moved out of the end faces 81, 82 by the respective spring force and engage in the grooved rails 5. The transport container 20 is thus fixed in the transfer station 40.

[0058] Figure 7 shows another sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 2 By means of the lifting unit, the lifting plate 35 is moved downward in the vertical direction Z. The transport container 20 remains in the transfer station 40. The mandrels 11, 12 are thereby pulled out of the insertion openings 51, 52.

[0059] The contact surface 53 of the first slide 21 slides along the first pin 11. As a result, the locking pins 3 of the first slide 21 are pressed out of the first end face 81 of the base plate 8 by the spring force. The contact surface 53 of the second slide 22 slides along the second pin 12. As a result, the locking pins 3 of the second slide 22 are pressed out of the second end face 82 of the base plate 8 by the spring force.

[0060] Figure 8 shows another sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 2 The mandrels 11, 12 are completely removed from the insertion openings 51, 52. The automated guided vehicle leaves the transfer station 40.

[0061] In the absence of the first mandrel 11 in the first insertion opening 51, the spring force acts on the first slide 21 such that the locking bolts 3 of the first slide 21 protrude partially in the longitudinal direction X from the first end face 81 of the base plate 8 and into the grooved rail 5. In the absence of the second mandrel 11 in the second insertion opening 52, the spring force acts on the second slide 22 such that the locking bolts 3 of the second slide 22 protrude partially in the longitudinal direction X from the second end face 82 of the base plate 8 and into the grooved rail 5.

[0062] Figure 9shows a further top view of the base plate 8 of the transport container 20. The insertion openings 51, 52 are free of pins 11, 12. The locking pins 4 protrude from the end faces 81, 82 into the grooved rails 5. The locking pins 3 of the carriages 22 also protrude from the end faces 81, 82 into the grooved rails 5. The locking pins 3 and the locking pins 3 are preloaded by corresponding spring forces. The transport container 20 is thus locked to the transfer station 40 by means of the locking device and protected against theft.

[0063] To pick up the transport container 20 from the transfer station 40, the automated guided vehicle moves into the transfer station 40 beneath the transport container 20 so that the first mandrel 11 is aligned with the first insertion opening 51 and the second mandrel 12 is aligned with the second insertion opening 52. The lifting plate 35 is then moved upward in the vertical direction Z by means of the lifting unit.

[0064] The mandrels 11, 12 are inserted into the insertion openings 51, 52 of the base plate 8. As a result, the contact surface 53 of the slides 21, 22 slide on the mandrels 11, 12. As a result, the locking bolts 3 of the slides 21, 22 are pressed out of the grooved rails 5 and into the base plate 8 against the spring force. This situation is also in Figure 7 shown.

[0065] When the mandrels 11, 12 are fully inserted into the insertion openings 51, 52, the base plate 8 rests on the lifting plate 35. The locking bolts 3 of the slides 21, 22 are pressed completely into the base plate 8 against the spring force. This situation is also in Figure 3 shown.

[0066] Figure 10 shows a further sectional view along the section line BB in Figure 2 By means of the lifting unit, the lifting plate 35 with the transport container 20 located thereon is moved further upwards in the vertical direction Z. The locking surfaces 54 of the locking pins 4 come into contact with the grooved rails 5 again. This generates a counterforce which presses the locking pins 4 into the base plate 8 against the spring force.

[0067] The lifting plate 35 is now moved further upwards in the vertical direction Z with the transport container 20 on it, until the locking surfaces 54 no longer have contact with the grooved rails 5. The locking pins 4 are moved out of the end faces 81, 82 by the respective spring force. This situation is also in Figure 4 shown.

[0068] Figure 11 shows a section through a base plate 8 with a locking device for a transport container 20 on a lifting plate 35 of an automated guided vehicle according to a modification. The mandrels 11, 12 each have a magnet 6. The magnets 6 are arranged centrally in the mandrels 11, 12 and are flush with the surfaces of the mandrels 11, 12 in the vertical direction Z.

[0069] The magnets 6 are designed, for example, as electromagnets in the form of windings. Alternatively, the magnets 6 are designed as permanent magnets. Preferably, the magnets 6 each comprise a permanent magnet surrounded by a winding. When no current flows through the windings, the permanent magnets operate. The magnetic fields generated by the permanent magnets can be compensated by applying appropriate current to the windings.

[0070] Figure 12 shows a sectional view along the section line AA in Figure 11 The locking device of the transport container 20 comprises two tightening plates 7 made of a ferromagnetic material, which are arranged such that the mandrels 11, 12 inserted into the insertion openings 51, 52 come into contact with the tightening plates 7.

[0071] When the mandrels 11, 12 are inserted into the insertion openings 51, 52 of the base plate 8, the magnets 6 interact with the attraction plates 7 of the transport container 20. The attraction plates 7 are attracted to the magnets 6 by magnetic forces. This secures the transport box 20 on the automated guided vehicle.

[0072] According to a further modification, the lifting plate 35 of the automated guided vehicle is made of a ferromagnetic material. The mandrels 11, 12 are also made of a ferromagnetic material. The locking device of the transport container 20 has a tightening plate 7 made of a ferromagnetic material, which extends over both insertion openings 51, 52. The mandrels 11, 12 inserted into the insertion openings 51, 52 thus come into contact with the tightening plate 7.

[0073] With appropriate alignment of the magnets 6, a magnetic circuit is created through the mandrels 11, 12, the lifting plate 35, and the attraction plate 7. If the magnets 6 are designed as permanent magnets, the magnets 6 must be aligned such that the south pole of one magnet 6 faces the lifting plate 35, and the north pole of the other magnet 6 faces the lifting plate 35. If the magnets 6 are designed as electromagnets and are operated with direct current, the magnets 6 must be controlled such that the south pole of one magnet 6 faces the lifting plate 35, and the north pole of the other magnet 6 faces the lifting plate 35. If the magnets 6 are designed as electromagnets and are operated with alternating current, the magnets 6 are to be controlled in such a way that the south pole of one magnet 6 faces the lifting plate 35, while the north pole of the other magnet 6 faces the lifting plate 35.
