Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a transport and winding aid for a reinforcing steel bar mat, a method for transporting reinforcing steel bar mats and a manufacturing method for producing the transport and winding aid.
[0002] The individual, parallel reinforcing steel bars of a uniaxial reinforcing steel mesh are connected to each other by flexible retaining elements, such as thin wire or a flat metal strip, so that they can be easily rolled into a roll during the manufacturing process and easily unrolled again on a construction site. The reinforcing steel bars of a mesh, which are individually calculated in terms of length, diameter, and axial position, can easily reach weights in the ton range. Since several such rolls are usually stacked on top of each other for transport to a work site, the bottom layer of rolls is subjected to high pressures of up to several tons during transport and may be deformed so severely that unrolling is no longer possible or only possible with great difficulty.
[0003] It is therefore known to prevent deformation of the reinforcing steel mesh during transport by winding it onto several circular metal rings spaced axially apart across the entire width of the roll. These metal rings are then manually welded to one or more of the first reinforcing steel bars of a future uniaxial reinforcing steel mesh roll. This is very time-consuming and results in the typically fully automated mesh fabricator being idle during this period. A further disadvantage is that these metal rings can tip over under shear stress, thus losing the desired stabilizing effect and potentially leading to deformation during transport.
[0004] From WO 2006 / 097100 A1, a device and a method for rolling up reinforcing steel bar mats are known, in which the reinforcing steel bar mats are rolled up over a rotating roller in the form of a rolling drum.
[0005] From EP 0 919 309 A2 a method for the production of rolled-up reinforcing mats is known, in which the reinforcing steel bar mats are rolled up via a rotating rolling station.
[0006] From DE 10 2013 111 064 A1 a reinforcing steel bar mat and its laying method are known.
[0007] From DE 10 2019 125 300 A1 a method for reinforcing a reinforced concrete component is known, in which rollable, uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mats are used.
[0008] A coil is known from WO 01 / 28905 A1, and a simply wound mat with safety elements from CA 766 870 A.
[0009] The presented invention serves to enable the rapid production of reinforcing steel mesh. In particular, the presented invention serves to provide a device for the safe transport of reinforcing steel mesh.
[0010] According to a first aspect of the invention, a transport and winding aid for transporting uniaxial reinforcing steel mesh is presented. The transport and winding aid comprises a first circular support area, a second circular support area, and a connecting area between the two, which axially separates them, i.e., along a longitudinal axis of the connecting area. The first circular support area has a first edge area, and the second circular support area has a second edge area. The longitudinal axis of the connecting area is shifted parallel to a straight line connecting the first edge area and the second edge area. The connecting area, together with the first support area, forms a first clamping area, which is bounded, in particular, downwards by the connecting area and, in particular, upwards by the first support area.Furthermore, the connection area with the second support area forms a second clamping area, which is limited in particular downwards by the connection area and in particular upwards by the second support area, so that the first clamping area and the second clamping area together form a receptacle in which a reinforcing steel bar of a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat can be reversibly clamped.
[0011] In the context of the invention, a boundary region is understood to be an area bounded by the perimeter of a support region.
[0012] The invention defines a support area as a section of the presented transport and winding aid that is round and stabilizes or supports a reinforcing steel bar mat wound around the transport and winding aid. Accordingly, a support area counteracts a force acting on the reinforcing steel bar mat from its surroundings, such as the weight of stacked rolls, thus preventing deformation of the reinforcing steel bar mat.
[0013] The invention defines a connecting area as a section of the presented transport and winding aid, which is, in particular, at least partially elongated or straight and connects or separates the various support areas provided according to the invention. Accordingly, the connecting area is connected to both the first support element and the second support element. Specifically, the connecting area transitions into the first support element on its first side and into the second support element on its second side, which is opposite the first side.
[0014] The transport and winding aid according to the invention is based on the principle that it can be reversibly arranged, and in particular clamped, on a reinforcing steel bar mat, in particular on a first reinforcing steel bar of a reinforcing steel bar mat. For clamping the transport and winding aid to a reinforcing steel bar or for clamping a reinforcing steel bar to the transport and winding aid, the transport and winding aid according to the invention provides a receptacle into which the reinforcing steel bar can be clamped.
[0015] The receptacle of the transport and winding aid according to the invention is formed by an interaction between the connection area and the support areas, such that the receptacle is limited, in particular, upwards by the support areas and downwards by the connection area. This means that a reinforcing steel bar, which is to be clamped to the transport and winding aid, is inserted into the receptacle and is in contact with both the connection area and the support areas, so that a frictional or clamping force is generated when the reinforcing steel bar is inserted into the receptacle. This clamping force is generated by the fact that the support areas, due to their weight and rigid shape, press the reinforcing steel bar onto the connection area, or conversely, the reinforcing steel bar presses the support areas away from the connection area.
[0016] Due to the round shape of the support areas, a reinforcing steel bar mat can easily be wound around the transport and winding aid according to the invention, so that a roll is formed in whose roller eye the transport and winding aid supports the roll in a dimensionally stable manner.
[0017] By wrapping the transport and winding aid according to the invention with a reinforcing steel bar mat, the weight of the reinforcing steel bar mat acts on the support areas, thus maximizing the frictional or clamping force acting on a reinforcing steel bar arranged in the receptacle of the transport and winding aid and ensuring that the reinforcing steel bar or the reinforcing steel bar mat is held particularly securely on the transport and winding aid. Accordingly, at the beginning of a winding process, in which a reinforcing steel bar mat is wound around the transport and winding aid, a reinforcing steel bar can be easily inserted into the receptacle with relatively little force. Similarly, after an unwinding process, in which the reinforcing steel bar mat is unwound from the transport and winding aid, the reinforcing steel bar can be easily removed from the receptacle with relatively little force.
[0018] The receptacle of the transport and winding aid according to the invention is shaped such that a reinforcing steel bar inserted into the receptacle is clamped between the connection area and the support areas. Therefore, welding the reinforcing steel bar to the transport and winding aid is unnecessary, so that the transport and winding aid is generally reusable after the reinforcing steel bar has been removed from the receptacle.
[0019] In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the connection area at its first end transitions into the first support area in a first arc, and the connection area at its second end transitions into the second support area in a second arc, wherein the first arc limits the first clamping area away from the connection area, and the first clamping area is accessible on a side opposite the first arc for inserting a reinforcing steel bar, and wherein the second arc limits the second clamping area away from the connection area, and the second clamping area is accessible on a side opposite the second arc for inserting a reinforcing steel bar.A curved transition between the connection area and the respective support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention enables relative movement between a support area and the connection area, so that the support area and the connection area can move towards each other and accordingly clamp a reinforcing steel bar inserted into the receptacle between the support area and the connection area when the transport and winding aid is wrapped with a reinforcing steel bar mat and accordingly weighted down.Conversely, an arc-shaped transition between the connection area and the respective support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention allows the support area and the connection area to move away from each other and accordingly release a reinforcing steel bar inserted into the receptacle between the support area and the connection area when the transport and winding aid is unwound from a reinforcing steel bar mat and accordingly relieved of its weight.
[0020] In particular, the arc-shaped transition between the connection area and the respective support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention can be designed to be springy or elastic in order to allow relative movement between the connection area and the support area. Furthermore, an arc-shaped transition between the connection area and the respective support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention enables a particularly effective force flow between the support areas and the connection area, so that the transport and winding aid is particularly resilient.
[0021] In particular, the arc-shaped transition between the connection area and respective support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention can be curved in the direction of an axis running orthogonally to the connection area, so that the transition runs upwards from the connection area towards a respective support area.
[0022] In one embodiment of the invention, the transport and winding aid is formed in one piece. The transport and winding aid according to the invention can be formed from a single piece of metal, in particular a steel rod or even a reinforcing steel bar. Due to its one-piece construction, the transport and winding aid according to the invention is particularly robust, as brittle joints for joining multiple metal parts are avoided.
[0023] In one embodiment of the invention, the connection area is U-shaped, comprising a base, a first leg, and a second leg. The base encompasses the longitudinal axis, the first leg and the second leg are opposite each other, and the first leg transitions into the first support area in a first arc, while the second leg transitions into the second support area at its second end in a second arc. The first arc delimits the first clamping area away from, or opposite, the connection area, so that the first clamping area is accessible for inserting a reinforcing steel bar on a side opposite the first arc. The second arc delimits the second clamping area away from, or opposite, the connection area, so that the second clamping area is accessible for inserting a reinforcing steel bar on a side opposite the second arc.A U-shaped connecting area serves both as a base for placing the transport and winding aid on a floor surface and as a compact and stable clamping area for the transport and winding aid according to the invention. The U-shaped area can also be used as a handle for transporting the transport and winding aid according to the invention. Furthermore, the base of a U-shaped area can be used as a marking surface for markings such as identification codes, in particular a QR code; however, it is preferred to place such a code elsewhere, as will be explained below. For this purpose, the base can optionally be flattened, at least in part, to provide a marking surface into which, for example, an identification code can be stamped.
[0024] In an embodiment of the invention, the first round support area and / or the second round support area are at least partially spiral and / or circular and / or elliptical and have a circumferential angle of at least 360°, preferably at least 540°, and most preferably 720°, beginning at a respective transition to the connection area. A spiral support area, i.e., a support area comprising a plurality of windings, is, firstly, more stable than a single ring due to the plurality of windings and, secondly, axially stretchable, so that a spiral support area is particularly resilient.A load on a spiral support section leads to axial elongation of the support section and to a relative movement of the support section towards the connection area. As the load on the support section increases, a reinforcing steel bar clamped by the support section becomes increasingly clamped, thereby also providing support and stabilization to the support section itself. Furthermore, a spiral support section is significantly more robust against shear forces than a single ring, since the numerous windings of a spiral support section mutually support and stabilize each other in all directions.
[0025] In an embodiment of the invention, it is provided that the first clamping area and / or the second clamping area extend in a circumferential angle range of 0° to a maximum of 45°, preferably a maximum of 30°, of the respective support area, beginning at a respective transition to the connection area.
[0026] Due to support areas oriented essentially perpendicular to the connection area and a substantially round shape of the transport and winding aid according to the invention, a reinforcing steel bar mat can be wound around the transport and winding aid to create a roll in which the transport and winding aid sits in the roller eye. The support areas, spaced apart along the longitudinal axis of the connection area, ensure a stable shape of the roll even when using particularly long reinforcing steel bar mats with correspondingly long reinforcing steel bars.
[0027] In particular, the length of the longitudinal axis or the distance between the support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention is selected depending on the length of a reinforcing steel bar mat to be transported. Of course, several transport and winding aids can also be arranged in a row, or a transport and winding aid with many support areas, e.g., 4, 6, or 8 spaced apart along the longitudinal axis or straight line, can be used.
[0028] The support areas of the transport and winding aid according to the invention can be aligned orthogonally to the connection area or the longitudinal axis of the transport and winding aid, so that a right angle is formed between the longitudinal axis and a respective support area.
[0029] Particularly in the case of spiral-shaped support areas, a slightly inclined orientation of the support areas compared to an orthogonal orientation has proven advantageous, since an inclined orientation under load causes each support area to expand axially, thus avoiding unwanted, e.g., angular deformation of the transport and winding aid.
[0030] In one embodiment of the invention, the first round support area and / or the second round support area terminate in a handle section that lies within the first edge area of the first round support area and / or within the second edge area of the second round support area. The transport and winding aid can be easily lifted and transported by means of a handle section that, for example, extends directly within an edge area of a support area. Furthermore, a marking, such as a label, in particular a QR code label, can be attached to such a handle section to identify, for example, the transport and winding aid and / or a reinforcing steel mesh arranged on the transport and winding aid. This arrangement of the identification means is preferred. Optionally, the handle section can be flattened, at least in part, so that, for example, a permanent marking can be stamped into the handle section.
[0031] In an embodiment of the invention, the axial distance between the first round support area and the second round support area is at least such that support areas of further transport and winding aids can be accommodated between the first and second round support areas in such a way that a large number of transport and winding aids can be stacked inside one another. Stackable transport and winding aids allow for space-saving storage of many transport and winding aids.
[0032] In a second aspect, the presented invention relates to a method for rolling up and transporting a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat. The method comprises an assembly step in which at least one possible embodiment of the transport and rolling aid according to the invention is slid over a reinforcing steel bar of a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat such that the reinforcing steel bar is reversibly clamped in the respective clamping areas of the at least one transport and rolling aid. Furthermore, the method comprises a rolling step in which the uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat is wound around the at least one transport and rolling aid to make it transportable. The presented transport and rolling aid is particularly useful for carrying out the presented method for rolling up and transporting a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat.
[0033] In an embodiment of the method according to the invention, it is provided that in the arrangement step the at least one transport and winding aid is introduced into a machine for the production of the reinforcing steel bar mat, so that during a manufacturing process for the production of the reinforcing steel bar mat the reinforcing steel bar mat is wound around the at least one transport and winding aid in a continuous process.
[0034] The presented transport and winding aid enables quick and easy attachment of the transport and winding aid to a reinforcing steel bar mat, so that the transport and winding aid can be inserted into a machine for manufacturing the reinforcing steel bar mat during a manufacturing process, particularly with only a very short interruption, if any. Accordingly, the transport and winding aid, or the inventive method for transporting a reinforcing steel bar mat, enables a largely continuous manufacturing process for reinforcing steel bar mats.
[0035] In a third aspect, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing the transport and winding aid. This method comprises a bending process in which, in a first bending step, a first round support area is formed from a piece of metal. In a second bending step, a first straight part of a connecting area is formed at one end of the first round support area, the first straight part being formed at a distance from the first support area, so that a first clamping area for the reversible clamping of a reinforcing steel bar of a reinforcing steel mesh is created between the first support area and the first straight part. In a third bending step, a second round support area is formed. In a fourth bending step, a second straight part of the connection area is formed at one end of the second support area, wherein the second straight part is formed spaced apart from the second support area, so that a second clamping area for the reversible clamping of a reinforcing steel bar of a reinforcing steel bar mat is created between the second support area and the second straight part, wherein the first straight part and the second straight part are spaced apart from each other by a longitudinal axis that is shifted parallel to a straight line connecting the first edge area and the second edge area.
[0036] The transport and winding aid is bent from a single piece of metal, with the longitudinal axis formed by bending one end of the first part and one end of the second part. Alternatively, the transport and winding aid is assembled from several pieces of metal, with the longitudinal axis formed by connecting a straight piece of metal to the end of the first part and the end of the second part.
[0037] The various steps of the manufacturing process according to the invention can be carried out in the sequence set out above or in any other technically suitable sequence.
[0038] In a fourth aspect, the presented invention relates to a system comprising a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat having a plurality of reinforcing steel bars and a transport and winding aid as previously described.
[0039] The invention is described in a preferred embodiment by way of example with reference to the accompanying drawings, with further advantageous details being shown in the figures of the drawings. In particular, the second bending step and the third bending step can be carried out independently of each other or decoupled in time if the transport and winding aid is assembled from several pieces of metal.
[0040] The figures in the drawing show in detail: Fig. 1: a perspective view of a possible embodiment of the transport and winding aid according to the invention, Fig. 2: a side view of the transport and winding aid according to the invention Fig. 1 , Fig. 3: a frontal view of the transport and winding aid according to Fig. 1 , Fig. 4: a possible embodiment of the inventive method for rolling up and transporting a reinforcing steel bar mat, Fig. 5: a possible embodiment of the inventive manufacturing method and Fig. 6: a possible embodiment of the inventive reinforcing steel bar mat.
[0041] In Fig. 1 A transport and winding aid 100 is shown. In this case, it consists of a single piece of metal and comprises a first round support area 101 with a first edge area 103, a second round support area 105 with a second edge area 107 and a connecting area 109.
[0042] The first support area 101 and the second support area 105 are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis 111. The longitudinal axis 111 runs parallel to a straight line 113 running between a center point of the first boundary area 103 and a center point of the second boundary area 107.
[0043] The connection area 109, together with the first support area 101, forms a first clamping area 115. As in Fig. 1 The first clamping area 115 is recognizable in the Fig. 1 The perspective shown is limited downwards by the connection area 109 and upwards by the first support area 101. Similarly, the connection area 109 together with the second support area 105 forms a second clamping area 117, which is Fig. 1 The clamping area is bounded downwards by the connection area 105 and upwards by the second support area 105, so that the first clamping area 115 and the second clamping area 117 together form a receptacle 119 in which a reinforcing steel bar of a reinforcing steel bar mat can be reversibly clamped. An arrow P represents the direction of movement of the winding aid 100 towards a reinforcing steel bar (not shown) during the clamping and release process, and a dashed line L indicates the position of the reinforcing steel bar in the clamped state. Fig. 1 It is clearly recognizable that the first support area 101 and the second support area 105 are spaced apart by the connecting area 109, which in this example is designed in a U-shape.
[0044] The distance between the connection area 109 and the first support area 101 or the second support area 105 is chosen, for example, such that it corresponds to the diameter of a reinforcing steel bar, so that the reinforcing steel bar can be easily inserted into the receptacle 119 in an unloaded rest position of the transport and winding aid 100.
[0045] When the transport and winding aid 100 is subjected to weight, for example by reinforcing steel bar rollers arranged above it, the first support area 101 and the second support area 105 move towards the connection area 109 and clamp a reinforcing steel bar arranged between the support areas 101 and 105 in place by transferring at least part of the weight force acting on the transport and winding aid 100 to the reinforcing steel bar. The reinforcing steel bar thus has a stabilizing effect on the transport and winding aid 100 when it is loaded with weight, as the reinforcing steel bar only allows limited movement of the first support area 101 and the second support area 105 towards the connection area 109.
[0046] In Fig. 2 It is clearly visible that the first support area 101 and the second support area 105 are spirally shaped, so that they lengthen along or parallel to the longitudinal axis 111 when weight is applied. The support areas 101 and 105 essentially retain their round shape, thus preventing deformation of the reinforcing steel mesh wound onto the transport and winding aid 100, which would otherwise lead to the formation of corners or edges that would hinder easy unwinding. This spiral shape also has the advantage that the wound reinforcing steel bars are supported over an even greater area of their axial length than they would be without the spiral shape due to the axial distance between the two support areas. On the right side of Fig. 2 The circumferential angle of the support area 101 is approximately 450°, and on the left side, one of 720° is provided for the support area 105.
[0047] In Fig. 3 It is clearly visible that the second support area 105 has a handle section 301 that runs directly within the second edge area 107 of the second support area 105. The straight handle section 301 is suitable for carrying the transport and winding aid 100 and / or for arranging labels, such as QR labels. Fig. 3 Figure 117 also shows the second clamping area 117, which is formed and bounded by the second support area 105 and the connection area 109. This extends at a circumferential angle of the support area 105 of a maximum of 45°.
[0048] In Fig. 4 A method 400 for rolling up reinforcing steel bar mats is described. The method is preceded by the production of the beginning of a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat in a mat manufacturer, in which a few reinforcing steel bars have already been connected to a plurality of metal strips or wires that connect them and are spaced parallel to one another. The method 400 comprises an arrangement step 401 in which a number of transport and winding aids, such as a number of transport and winding aids 100 according to Fig. 1 , are pushed over a reinforcing steel bar of a uniaxial reinforcing steel bar mat so that it is reversibly clamped in the respective clamping areas of the transport and winding aids used. Furthermore, the transport method 400 includes a winding step 403 in which the reinforcing steel bar mat is wound around the number of transport and winding aids 100 in order to enable the transport of the rolled-up reinforcing steel bar mat with as little damage as possible.
[0049] In Fig. 5 A manufacturing process 500 for producing a transport and winding aid, such as the transport and winding aid 100, for transporting reinforcing steel mesh is described. The manufacturing process 500 comprises a bending process 501 in which at least one piece of metal is bent. In a first bending step 503 of the bending process 501, a first round support area is formed from a piece of metal. In a second bending step 505 of the bending process 501, a first straight part of a connection area is formed at one end of the first round support area, the first straight part being formed at a distance from the first support area, so that a first clamping area for the reversible clamping of a reinforcing steel bar of a reinforcing steel mesh is created between the first support area and the first straight part. In a third bending step 507, a second round support area is formed. In a fourth bending step 509, a second straight part of the connection area is formed at one end of the second support area, wherein the second straight part is formed spaced apart from the second support area, so that a second clamping area for the reversible clamping of a reinforcing steel bar of a reinforcing steel bar mat is created between the second support area and the second straight part, wherein the first straight part and the second straight part are spaced apart from each other by a longitudinal axis that is shifted parallel to a straight line connecting the first edge area and the second edge area.
[0050] The bending process 501 can be carried out with a single piece of metal, such that the longitudinal axis is provided by bending one end of the first part and one end of the second part. Alternatively, the manufacturing process can include a joining step 511, such that the transport and winding aid is assembled from several pieces of metal and the longitudinal axis is formed by joining, in particular welding, a straight piece of metal to the end of the first part and the end of the second part.
[0051] In Fig. 6 A reinforcing steel bar mat 600 is shown. The reinforcing steel bar mat 600 comprises a multitude of reinforcing steel bars 601 and a transport and winding aid, such as the transport and winding aid 100 according to [reference missing]. Fig. 1 . List of reference symbols
