Description
[0001] The invention relates to a sliding element for a piece of furniture with at least one single-part or multi-part wall according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention further relates to a piece of furniture with such a sliding element.
[0002] Drawer elements of the above-mentioned type include, for example, drawers, often referred to as drawer units or box systems, which typically have side walls, also called side frames, a rear wall, and a front wall facing the user, often simply called the "front." For greater usability, but also for design reasons, designs are known in which a lighting device is arranged on one of the side, rear, or front walls, or in which one of the walls is formed, at least in part, by a translucent element that functions as a lighting device. Light sources, particularly LEDs (light-emitting diodes), are arranged within the lighting device in such a way that, on the one hand, the visual appearance of the drawer unit itself is enhanced and, on the other hand, the interior of the drawer unit is attractively illuminated.
[0003] An arrangement of a lighting device in a drawer is known, for example, from the document DE 20 2009 000 472 U1. The document describes the irradiation of light into a transparent side wall by a lighting device arranged along an upper narrow surface of the side wall of a drawer. When irradiation occurs along the upper horizontal narrow surfaces into a partially transparent wall element, this narrow surface itself is consequently concealed by the lighting device and does not represent an optically effective light-emitting surface. In addition, the at least partially translucent side wall is more complex in its construction than one conventionally made of non-transparent materials.
[0004] The publication WO 2006 / 125630 A1 shows a drawer with a side frame onto which a functional profile can be placed. In one embodiment, the functional profile is designed as a light strip and has a hollow chamber into which LEDs are inserted. The light strip has a base profile that is open at least along one long side, which can be attached to the side frame, for example, using locking elements, and into which the LEDs are inserted. The base profile is closed along its length by an additional, glued-on profile that is translucent, so that light exits only through this additional profile. Gluing the different profiles together involves increased manufacturing effort. In another embodiment, the publication WO 2006 / 125630 A1 shows a drawer that has a one-piece, translucent profile that is closed along its length and has a hollow chamber in which LEDs are arranged.
[0005] Advantageously, such a profile can be easily attached to a conventionally constructed side panel of a sliding element. Light can be emitted primarily to illuminate the interior of the sliding element, for example. Additionally, the profile can have additional illuminated surfaces that emit light in directions other than toward the interior of the sliding element.
[0006] Due to the one-piece design of the profile, the light-emitting surfaces are made of the same material as the rest of the profile, which can be undesirable for aesthetic reasons. Furthermore, installing the LEDs in the profile, which is closed along its length, is difficult.
[0007] The document US 2008 / 0285264 A1 shows a lighting device for illuminating the interior of a cabinet. The device comprises a transparent profile with a hollow chamber, with LEDs arranged on a strip that is inserted into the hollow chamber. Blinding of a user by the lighting device is achieved by concealing the profile within the cabinet interior.
[0008] It is an object of the present invention to provide a drawer element with a lighting device comprising a translucent profile with a hollow chamber into which LEDs are inserted, in which the LEDs can be easily inserted and in which it is easy to determine which surfaces of the profile represent light-emitting surfaces. A further object is to provide a piece of furniture with a drawer element with a lighting device.
[0009] This object is achieved by a drawer element or a piece of furniture having the features of the respective independent claim. Advantageous embodiments and further developments are the subject of the dependent claims.
[0010] In the lighting device, the hollow chamber of the profile is formed as a single piece with a closed cross-section, and the profile is translucent. According to the invention, the LEDs are arranged on an LED strip that is inserted from one end face of the profile into the at least one hollow chamber.
[0011] Because the entire profile is made of a translucent material, particularly plastic, light emission is not limited to certain areas of the profile, e.g. a light emission window in the profile, but can occur across surfaces of the entire profile. Light is primarily emitted via a surface of the profile opposite the LED strip. However, because the LEDs generally have a non-directional radiation pattern, light is also emitted on adjacent sides of the profile and, due to internal reflection in the profile material, to a lesser extent also on the side of the profile behind the LED strip. At the same time, the one-piece design creates a continuous and therefore attractive, hygienic and easy-to-clean surface for the lighting device.
[0012] Furthermore, according to the invention, the translucent profile is at least partially concealed by an opaque cover, in the form of a film, arranged on the profile. The cover can be used to specifically prevent light from escaping from specific areas of the cover, if desired. Using a film allows for considerable design freedom for the areas to be covered, which can, for example, also extend over the edges of the profile.
[0013] In an advantageous embodiment of the sliding element, the profile of the lighting device has a connecting contour on an outer side, wherein the connecting contour can be engaged with a connecting element of at least one wall of the sliding element. For example, the connecting contour has a keyhole cross-section. The connecting contour allows for concealed and preferably tool-free installation of the lighting device on the wall of the sliding element.
[0014] In a further advantageous embodiment of the sliding element, the hollow chamber of the profile of the lighting device has a guide for the LED strip. The guide is preferably formed by two longitudinal webs running longitudinally on opposite inner sides of the hollow chamber. The LED strip can then be easily inserted into the profile from one of the end faces. The LED strip can be designed to be flexible, but is at least sufficiently rigid to facilitate insertion.
[0015] In a further advantageous embodiment of the drawer element, an outer side of the profile of the lighting device protrudes beyond the cross-section of the hollow chamber in the form of at least one plate-shaped apron. The apron forms a type of cladding for the inner and / or outer side surface of the wall of the drawer element and offers the possibility of customizing this side surface for specific furniture or furniture series. Furthermore, the light emitted by the LED strip will spread into the apron due to internal reflection in the material of the profile and emerge from the surface there, so that the apron also exhibits lighting effects.
[0016] In a further advantageous embodiment of the sliding element, the at least one wall has a connecting element which cooperates with a connecting contour of the lighting device in order to fasten the lighting device to the sliding element.
[0017] In a further advantageous embodiment of the sliding element, the connecting element is arranged on an upwardly facing end face of the at least one wall. This allows for concealed installation of a lighting device extending along the top of the wall. According to the invention, the profile of the lighting device is almost flush with the at least one wall in the longitudinal direction.
[0018] In a further advantageous embodiment of the drawer element, the lighting device comprises at least one plate-shaped apron that extends beyond the cross-section of a hollow chamber and rests on an inner and / or outer side of the at least one wall. This creates a partial or full-surface covering for the inner and / or outer side surface of the wall of the drawer element, which can be individually modified in terms of its appearance and feel for specific pieces of furniture or furniture series.
[0019] In a further advantageous embodiment, the drawer element has a power supply unit with a rechargeable energy storage device, which is mounted, for example, on a rear wall or base of the drawer element and is thus not visible when the drawer element is installed. The rechargeable energy storage device is preferably a rechargeable battery, but can also be a capacitor, for example. The power supply unit enables autonomous operation of the lighting device without the need for a trailing cable or similar device to be led from a furniture body to the drawer element. This offers the advantage of being able to operate the lighting device in any position (e.g., any opening state) using the energy storage device, without any annoying and potentially tangled cables and without maintenance-prone sliding contacts.
[0020] The power supply unit preferably has a base mounted on the sliding element, in which the rechargeable energy storage device is removably accommodated. For this purpose, contacts for supplying power to the base can be arranged on the energy storage device. When the energy storage device is removed, the contacts can also serve to supply charging current for recharging the energy storage device. Furthermore, the energy storage device can have a charging port formed separately from the contacts, in particular a USB (Universal Serial Bus) charging port.
[0021] In a further advantageous embodiment, the power supply device has at least one output connection, which is preferably designed as a plug connection and to which the at least one lighting device can be connected.
[0022] The power supply device preferably has at least one sensor coupled to the control unit to switch the lighting device depending on the opening state of the drawer element. The sensor can be, for example, a magnetic field sensor, e.g., a reed contact or a Hall sensor. A permanent magnet attached, for example, glued, to a side or rear body wall of a piece of furniture can be used to generate a magnetic field that is detected by the magnetic sensor in the base. Depending on the opening state of the drawer element, the strength of the magnetic field at the sensor changes, causing the control unit to switch the lighting device on or off.
[0023] Preferably, the control device is further designed to control the lighting device according to the principle of human-centric lighting. This lighting concept takes into account the visual, emotional, and biological effects of light. The control device controls at least the color temperature and the lighting intensity over the course of the day. For example, if warm white and cool white LEDs are used in the LED strip of the lighting device, the brightness of which can be adjusted independently of one another, white light with different color temperatures can be mixed additively. Instead of or in addition to warm white and cool white LEDs, colored LEDs can also be provided in the lighting device, in particular red, green, and blue LEDs, in order to cover a wide color space through color mixing. The red, green and blue LEDs can be separate LEDs or used in the form of so-called RGB LEDs, which combine light chips of the three mentioned colors in one housing.
[0024] The control unit further preferably has a wireless data interface, wherein the wireless data interface communicates with at least one internet-capable central unit, and wherein the central unit communicates with other, dissimilar devices, wherein the dissimilar devices can trigger an action of the control unit of the lighting device, or the control unit of the lighting device triggers an action of the dissimilar devices. The wireless data interface can form a mesh network with further wireless data interfaces of other devices or lighting devices. The central unit can be formed by a smart home system or integrated into it.
[0025] A piece of furniture according to the invention is characterized by the use of at least one such sliding element. This results in the advantages mentioned in connection with the sliding element. The sliding element can be designed, in particular, as a drawer, and the piece of furniture can, in particular, be a cabinet or shelving unit.
[0026] The invention is explained in more detail below using exemplary embodiments and figures. The figures show: Figure 1a shows an isometric partial view of a drawer as a drawer element of a piece of furniture with a mounted lighting device; Figure 1b shows the drawer according to Figure 1a and the lighting device before its assembly; Figures 2a-c show an isometric overall view, a sectional view and an isometric exploded view of the lighting device from the Figures 1a and 1b; Figure 3a an isometric partial view of a drawer as a drawer element of a piece of furniture with mounted lighting device in a second embodiment; Figure 3b the drawer according to Figure 3a and the lighting device before its assembly; Figures 4a, b, an isometric overall view and a sectional view of the lighting device according to the Figures 3a and 3b ; Figure 5load the drawer according to Figure 3a with a power supply unit; and Figure 5b the drawer according to Figure 5a with energy storage taken from the power supply unit.
[0027] In all figures, identical reference symbols identify identical or identically functioning elements. For reasons of clarity, not every element in the figures is provided with a reference symbol.
[0028] In the description, terms such as "top," "bottom," "left," and "right" initially refer to the exemplary representation chosen in the respective figures. With regard to the terms "top" and "bottom," the representation in the figures corresponds to the orientation typically assumed in a room, with the drawer base aligned horizontally and the drawer open at the top. The terms "front" and "rear" refer to the extension direction of a drawer's slide.
[0029] In the Figures 1a and 1b A drawer 1 is shown as an example of a drawer element in an isometric partial view. Figure 1a shows the drawer 1 with a mounted lighting device 10 and Figure 1b with the lighting device 10 raised before its installation.
[0030] In the Figures 1a and 1bThe drawer 1 is shown as a side wall 2, a rear wall 3, and a base 4. When the drawer 1 is fully assembled, another side wall is opposite and parallel to the side wall 2 shown, and opposite the rear wall 3, parallel to the latter, is a front wall, often referred to as the "front." The walls 2, 3, and the base 4 are connected to each other, with only an angle connector 5 between the rear wall 3 and the base 4 being visible in the figures. Typically, such a drawer is guided within a furniture body by pull-out guides arranged beneath the side walls 2 or the base 4.
[0031] In the illustrated embodiment, the rear wall 3 and the base 4 are made of a panel material, for example, wood or a wood-based material, or even plastic. The side wall 2 is manufactured from sheet metal using a punching and bending process. The materials specified for the side walls 2, the rear wall 3, and the base 4 are purely exemplary. A drawer element with a lighting device 10 according to the application can also be made from other materials or other material combinations for the walls 2, 3, and the base 4.
[0032] The lighting device 10 is designed as a light bar and is also referred to below as "light bar 10" for the sake of simplicity. It comprises a continuous profile 11. The ends of the profile 11 are closed on one or both sides with cover caps 12. These are provided, for example, with locking and / or clamping projections 121, with the aid of which they clamp or lock into the profile 11. A connecting cable 13 extends from the cover cap 12, visible in the figures and pointing rearward in the extension direction. A plug 131 is attached to its free end.
[0033] As in Figure 1b As can be seen, several connecting elements 6 are formed along an upper narrow edge of the side wall 2, which are connected to a connecting contour of the profile 11, which is shown in the Figure 1b is not visible, interact (see connecting contour 113 in Fig. 2c). In this way, the light bar 10 can be easily snapped ("clipped") onto the side panel 2 or pushed in.
[0034] In the Figures 2a to 2c is the light bar 10 from the example of Figures 1a and 1b presented in more detail separately. Figure 2a is an overall isometric view of the light bar 10, Figure 2b shows the light bar 10 in a sectional view and Figure 2c is an isometric exploded view of the light bar 10.
[0035] The aforementioned profile 11 of the light bar 10 is a hollow profile in which a hollow chamber 111 is formed. The hollow chamber 111 has a substantially rectangular cross-section. Adjacent to a side edge of the profile 11, a longitudinal web 112 is formed on the top and bottom sides, which, together with the side wall, form a C-shaped guide structure within the hollow chamber 111.
[0036] An LED strip 14 is inserted into this guide structure, which is best positioned in the Figure 2c can be seen. In the LED strip 14, a plurality of LEDs 141 are arranged next to one another in the longitudinal direction of the LED strip 14 and are electrically interconnected. A plastic material provided with conductor tracks can serve as the carrier material of the LED strip 14, for example. Current-limiting elements, in particular resistors, can be integrated into the LED strip 14 together with the LEDs 141 and interconnected with the LEDs 141. The aforementioned connecting cables 13, through which the LEDs 141 can be energized, are connected to one end of the LED strip 14.
[0037] The LED strip 14 can be designed to be flexible, but is at least sufficiently rigid to be inserted from one side into the C-shaped guide structure in the hollow chamber 111 of the profile 11. By closing the hollow chamber 111 on the sides with the cover caps 12, the LED strip 14 is then fixed within the hollow chamber 111. Similar LED strips are commercially available that can be rolled up and are provided with a self-adhesive tape on their back. Such LED strips can be used as LED strips 14 if they are mounted on a suitable carrier, which gives the LED strip 14 the necessary flexural rigidity for insertion into the profile 11.
[0038] By inserting the LED strip 14 into the profile 11 in this way, the latter can advantageously be designed as a one-piece hollow profile with a closed cross-section. The profile 11 is made of a translucent material, in particular a translucent plastic, so that light is emitted primarily via the side surface opposite the LED strip 14. Due to the radiation characteristics of the LEDs 141, light is also emitted on the upper side of the profile 11 and, due to internal reflection in the material of the profile 11, to a lesser extent also on the side of the profile 11 behind the LED strip. At the same time, a continuous and thus attractive and hygienic surface of the light strip 10 is provided, which is easy to keep clean.
[0039] If, in certain applications, radiation across all surfaces of profile 11 is not desired, the translucent profile 11 can be at least partially concealed by an opaque cover, in particular a film, arranged on the profile 11. The cover can be used to specifically prevent light from escaping in certain areas of profile 11.
[0040] In the example shown, a connecting contour 113 is formed centrally on the underside of the profile 11, which is used to fasten the light bar 10 to the side wall 2 and which is connected to the Figure 1bvisible connecting elements 6 on the upper narrow side of the side wall 2 interact, in particular, in a latched manner. The connecting contour 113 has an approximately keyhole-shaped cross-section in the present case. Alternatively, other cross-sections of the connecting contour 113 can also be used that are suitable for clamping and / or latching assembly. Undercut contours are preferred for latching assembly.
[0041] In the Figures 3a and 3b is in the same way as in the Figures 1a and 1bA second embodiment of a drawer element with a lighting device 10 is shown. The drawer element is again a drawer 1, the basic structure of which is identical to that shown in the first embodiment. The lighting device 10 also has a comparable structure, with the differences from the lighting device 10 of the first embodiment being discussed in particular below.
[0042] The lighting device 10 of this second embodiment is shown in Figure 4a in an isometric view and in Figure 4b also shown separately and in more detail in a sectional view.
[0043] In contrast to the first exemplary embodiment, in the present lighting device 10, one side surface of the profile 11 is extended downwards beyond the hollow chamber 111 in the form of a plate-like apron 114. When mounted, this apron 114 covers the outer side surface of the side wall 2 of the drawer 1 at least partially, and in the exemplary embodiment shown here, completely. In its lower region, the apron 114 can be provided, for example, with an adhesive strip, magnetic strip, or a securing element for gripping under the side wall 2 or for engaging into the side wall 2 in order to secure the apron 114.
[0044] The apron 114 thus forms a covering for the outer side surface of the side wall 2 and offers the possibility of designing this side surface individually for specific pieces of furniture or furniture series. Furthermore, the light emitted by the LED strip 14 will spread into the apron 114 due to internal reflection in the material of the profile 11 and emerge from the surface there, so that the apron 114 also displays lighting effects. The amount of emitted light depends on the surface quality of the apron 114, which can be designed according to the desired lighting effects. In particular, impressions made in the surface of the apron 114 are clearly visible when the LED strip 14 is switched on.
[0045] In the example shown, the apron 114 is formed on one side of the lighting device 10 and rests on the outside of the drawer 1 against its side wall 2. In further embodiments, the apron 114 can also alternatively rest on the inside of the side wall 2 (or another wall). Further alternatively, the lighting device 10 can have two aprons 114, one on each side of the hollow chamber 111. The two aprons 114 can then rest on the inside and outside of the corresponding wall and partially or completely cover it.
[0046] In the Figures 5a and 5b is in the same way as in Figure 4a a drawer 1 with lighting device 10 is shown in an isometric partial view.
[0047] In contrast to the previously described examples, in this case, a power supply unit 20 is mounted on the outside of the rear wall 3. Due to its positioning on the rear side of the rear wall 3 of the drawer 1, this power supply unit 20 is not visible when the drawer 1 is installed.
[0048] The power supply unit 20 has a base 21 that is attached, for example, screwed, to the rear wall 3. An energy storage device 22, for example, a rechargeable energy storage device, is inserted into this base 21 and is removable, as shown in Figure 5b The energy storage device 22 is embodied here, for example, as a battery. Alternatively, the use of a capacitor, in particular a so-called supercapacitor, is also possible as the energy storage device 22. As a further alternative, the power supply unit 20 can also be arranged beneath the base 4 of the drawer 1.
[0049] A receiving compartment 211 is formed in the base 21, wherein locking elements 212 are provided, which interact with corresponding counter-locking elements 221 on the energy storage device 22, so that the energy storage device 22 can be inserted into the base 21 and removed again in a locking manner. Alternatively or additionally, magnets can also be provided in the energy storage device 22 and / or the base 21 to fix the energy storage device 22. Furthermore, contacts 213 are formed in the base 21, which, with corresponding counter-contacts on the energy storage device 22, establish an electrical connection between the energy storage device 22 and the base 21.
[0050] The base 21 further comprises two output terminals 214 into which the plugs 131 of the lighting device(s) 10 can be plugged to supply power to the device. The power supply unit 20 is preferably positioned adjacent to one of the side walls 2 on the rear wall 3, so that - as shown in the Figures 5a and5b visible - a connecting cable 13 with its plug 131 can be plugged directly into the base 21 even if the connecting cable 13 is short. The lighting device 10, which can be provided on the opposite side of the drawer 1, can be connected via a second output connection 214 using an extension cable 23. From this further lighting device 10, Figures 5a and 5b Only a section of the connecting cable 13 with the corresponding plug 131 is shown. The extension cable 23 can be provided in various lengths so that drawers 1 of different widths can be wired without excess connecting or extension cable 13, 23 dangling down.
[0051] The power supply unit 20 enables autonomous operation of the lighting device 10 without the need for a trailing cable or similar device to be routed from a furniture body to the drawer 1. This offers the advantage of being able to operate the lighting device 10 with the drawer 1 open using the battery as an energy storage device 22, without any annoying and potentially tangled cables and without maintenance-prone sliding contacts. With appropriate dimensioning of the capacity of the energy storage device 22 and low power consumption of the lighting device 10 through the use of the LEDs 141, operation can thus take place over a period of several months or longer before recharging the energy storage device 22 is necessary.
[0052] Since the energy storage device 22 can be easily removed, even occasional recharging requires little effort from the user. An external charging station can be provided into which the energy storage device 22 is plugged for charging. Alternatively, it is conceivable to provide a charging port on the housing of the energy storage device 22, which is accessible after the energy storage device 22 has been removed and to which a charger can be connected using a charging cable. A common and widespread USB (Universal Serial Bus) socket is preferably used as the charging port, so that the energy storage device 22 can be charged using conventional USB plug-in power supplies that are already available in many households.Alternatively, or in addition to the removability of the energy storage device 22, it can be provided to supply power to the base 21 or the energy storage device 22 directly via corresponding (spring) contacts from the furniture body when the drawer 1 is closed, which power is used to charge the energy storage device 22. This can, if desired, make manual recharging of the energy storage device 22 unnecessary. This also eliminates the need for error-prone sliding contacts or trailing cables.
[0053] Preferably, the base 21 serves not only to accommodate the energy storage device 22 and to distribute the operating current for the lighting device 10, but also to control the lighting device 10 via an integrated control unit for switching it on and off or, if necessary, regulating its brightness and, if necessary, additionally for any voltage conversion that may be required.
[0054] To switch the lighting device 10, the base 21 can have sensors coupled to the control unit, via which an opening state of the drawer 1 is detected in order to switch the lighting device 10 on or off depending on the detected opening state.
[0055] In one embodiment, a magnetic sensor is arranged in the base 21, which switches the lighting device 10 depending on a detected magnetic field. A reed contact or a Hall sensor can serve as the magnetic sensor. A permanent magnet attached, for example glued, to a side or rear carcass wall generates a magnetic field that is detected by the magnetic sensor in the base 21. It can then be provided that the lighting device 10 is switched off when a magnetic field is detected (i.e. when the drawer 1 is closed). If the drawer is opened, no magnetic field is detected anymore and it is provided that the lighting device 10 is switched on. In order to prevent a possibleIf the lighting device 10 remains permanently switched on when the drawer 1 is accidentally left open, which would drain the energy storage device 22 too quickly, an automatic timer can be provided that limits the switch-on time of the lighting device 10 to a predetermined value, for example, a few minutes. Alternatively, the lighting device can be switched on only when a magnetic field is detected. In this case, the magnet that actuates the magnetic field sensor is glued into the front area of the body, so that a magnetic field is detected by the base 21 when the drawer 1 is open.
[0056] Instead of or in addition to the magnetic sensor, other options for switching the lighting device 10 can be provided. For example, switching can be achieved via a mechanically scanning pushbutton switch, a motion sensor, an acceleration sensor, or optically via a light barrier.
[0057] If a connection to a power supply unit for charging the energy storage device 22 is established when the drawer 1 is retracted, this contact can also be evaluated and the information obtained can be used to switch on the lighting device 10.
[0058] Furthermore, a touch switch can be integrated into the base 21, which is coupled, for example, to a handle of the drawer 1, so that when the drawer 1 is actuated, the lighting device 10 is switched on, for example for a predetermined period of time.
[0059] The light bar 10 or the LED strip 14 can have a plurality of LEDs 141, which either have the same optical properties (e.g. color, color temperature, intensity) or different ones. It can be provided that LEDs 141 with different properties can be selectively controlled by the control device. If, for example, warm white and cold white LEDs 141 are used, the brightness of which can be adjusted independently of one another, white light with different color temperatures can be additively mixed. Instead of or in addition to warm white and cold white LEDs, colored LEDs can also be provided in the lighting device, in particular red, green and blue LEDs, in order to cover a large color space through color mixing. The red, green and blue LEDs can be separate LEDs or used in the form of so-called RGB LEDs, which combine light chips of the three aforementioned colors in one housing.
[0060] For adjusting the color temperature (or color), controls may be provided on the control device of the base 21, or alternatively or additionally, this may be provided with a wireless data interface.
[0061] A wireless data interface can be established via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, ZigBee, ZWAVE, and, for example, at frequencies of 433 MHz (megahertz) or 868 MHz, or other suitable frequencies. KNX or IP protocols can also be used. The device can communicate with external devices and, for example, be "smart home"-capable and can also be controlled via voice control.
[0062] In a smart home system, for example, various drawer units can be networked with each other or linked to a smart home control center. This makes it possible, for example, to illuminate only the topmost drawer if two drawers arranged one above the other are open. Alternatively, both drawers could be illuminated, provided the front of the lower drawer is in front of the drawer above it, with the drawer's position being detected by appropriate sensors.
[0063] Furthermore, a warning function (e.g. of a risk of tipping) can be implemented, which causes the lighting device of a drawer to flash or similar when, for example, more than one drawer in a piece of furniture is pulled out.
[0064] Alternatively or additionally, the lighting device or sensors coupled with the associated control device could also be part of a smart home alarm system and, for example, trigger a siren or send a message to a person.
[0065] Furthermore, a notification function can be implemented in a smart home system that also causes a drawer's lighting to flash or something similar when, for example, the doorbell is pressed or the phone rings. The lighting effects can vary. For example, pressing the doorbell can cause the lighting to flash, while a phone ringing can cause the lighting to cycle.
[0066] Also implemented as part of a smart home system or locally in the control unit, an automatic change in the color temperature and / or intensity of the lighting fixture could occur depending on the time of day. The lighting fixture could, for example, be designed according to the concepts of Human Centric Lighting (HCL). Human Centric Lighting encompasses a lighting concept that considers the visual, emotional, and biological effects of light.
