Description

[0001] The invention relates to a pouring device comprising a spout that is connected to, or at least connectable to, a container and that has a pouring spout arranged around a spout axis, and that includes a closure cap arranged around a cap axis with which the pouring spout can be opened, preferably also reclosed, and that includes at least one retaining band that is integrally connected to the closure cap and with which the closure cap is attached to the spout, in particular to the pouring spout of the spout. The invention also relates to a container with such a pouring device.

[0002] The aforementioned spout axis is the axis along which the open channel of the spout extends. The cap axis is the axis around which the cap is rotated to open the spout from its original closed position.

[0003] In a preferred embodiment, in which the cap, when closed, partially covers the spout, the cap axis is the axis around which the cap wall is arranged, closed at the top by a cap lid and open at the bottom. The open end and the cap lid are thus spaced apart in the direction of the cap axis.

[0004] Preferably, it can be provided that cooperating locking elements are arranged on the outer surface of the spout and on the inner surface of the cap, by means of which the cap and the spout can be separated from each other and preferably also reconnected by rotating the cap around the axis of rotation / spout axis / cap axis running through the spout.

[0005] The interacting locking elements can be designed, for example, as a pairing of internal and external threads (threaded closure), or as a pairing of cams and guide cams or retaining projections (bayonet closure), or as a pairing of locking elements with an interlocking action when rotated.

[0006] However, the invention is not limited to these embodiments of attaching a cap to the spout and also includes embodiments in which the cap is removed from the spout by breaking a connection to it.

[0007] The term spout is preferably understood to mean a component that includes at least the spout and a transition area with which the connection to a container is made or at least can be made.

[0008] A spout according to the invention can thus be arranged, for example, on a bottle as a container, with the transition area being formed by an upper part of the bottle neck. A spout according to the invention can also be arranged on a bag, in particular a foil bag, as a container. In this case, the transition area to which the spout is attached can be formed by a so-called weld-in part, in particular a boat-shaped weld-in part, which can be welded between the opposing bag walls.

[0009] The directional specifications used in the following description refer to the aforementioned axes and an upright position of a container with such a pouring device. In the pouring device, the open area of the spout or its spout for product dispensing from a container is thus located at the top, and the area by which the spout is connected to a container is located at the bottom of the spout. The axial direction is along the cap or spout axis, and the radial direction is perpendicular to it. The circumferential direction runs at any radial distance around the respective axis.

[0010] When the spout is closed, the cap axis and the spout axis are parallel, and in particular collinear, to each other. In this state, the cap axis and the spout axis also correspond to the axis of rotation about which the cap can be rotated to open the spout, and preferably also to close it again.

[0011] Securing the cap with at least one retaining strap ensures that the cap remains attached to the spout or container after opening, preventing it from being lost and polluting the environment.

[0012] Pouring devices of this type are generally known in the prior art, e.g. from publication EP 3 929 102 A1. The problem here is that a sealing cap on the container does not assume a defined stable position after opening and can therefore interfere with the removal of the product from the container, e.g. touching a person's face while drinking or getting into the path of the product when pouring from the container.

[0013] Publication WO 2021 / 064154 A1 further shows such a pouring device, in which a tongue extends away from the cap at the lower end in the direction of the cap axis, forming a pivot point around which the cap can be rotated around a collar of the neck into an open position.

[0014] JP 2007 204124 A discloses a pouring device according to the preamble of claim 1.

[0015] Against this background, it is an object of the invention to further develop a pouring device of the type mentioned above in such a way that the cap can be brought into a stable position after being opened and thus no longer interferes with product dispensing, particularly when drinking from a container with such a pouring device. This object is achieved by providing a plug-in element extending from the lower open end of the cap in the direction of the cap axis, and by providing an insertion area on the spout, in particular on the spout nozzle, into which the plug-in element of the cap can be inserted in a direction radial to the nozzle axis. "In the direction of the cap axis" preferably means parallel to the cap axis, and especially at a distance from it. Preferably, the insertion area extends radially in depth.

[0016] Preferably, the plug-in element is arranged such that it extends axially away from the end face of the annular rim surrounding the opening of the open end.

[0017] According to the invention, the position of the closure cap is defined after the spout is opened and the plug element is inserted into the insertion area. Preferably, the closure cap remains in this position during use of the container due to a clamping or locking action between the plug element and the insertion area. Therefore, the closure cap cannot assume any interfering positions during use. The at least one retaining strap also maintains a defined, fixed position, as the position of its ends is likewise defined.

[0018] One possible preferred embodiment provides that only a single retaining strap is provided on the pouring device. Another preferred embodiment provides that the pouring device has exactly two retaining straps.

[0019] In In its original, sealed state, the axial extension of the plug-in element ensures that it does not protrude radially from the cap, thus maintaining a position that does not interfere with handling. Preferably, the plug-in element does not protrude further radially outwards from the cap than any other elements formed integrally with the cap.

[0020] Due to the arrangement of the plug-in element on the cap according to the invention, it is preferably further achieved that, in a state in which the plug-in element is inserted into the insertion area, the cap is arranged pointing away from the open end of the spout, and in particular, the cap is predominantly, preferably with more than 75%, preferably more than 90% of its diameter, located under the insertion area, especially in the direction of a container. In this arrangement, it is thus achieved that the spout is not, or only minimally, covered by the cap after insertion, and that a user of the container, e.g., when drinking, can easily place the spout in their mouth without their lips touching the cap in a disruptive manner.

[0021] This effect is preferably enhanced if the insertion area, relative to the state in which the spout is closed with the cap, is arranged axially below the open end of the cap. The usable portion of the spout to be placed in the mouth is typically the area covered by the cap when the spout is closed, so that the aforementioned position of the insertion area ensures that the cap inserted into this area does not cover, or only minimally covers, this usable portion.

[0022] In the case of spouts that are attached, or at least attachable, to a bag as a container by means of a weld-on part, it is preferably provided that the insertion area, viewed circumferentially around the spout axis, is arranged in a position that is located between the two arms of the weld-on part extending away from the spout, preferably centrally between the two arms of the weld-on part extending away from the spout. This ensures that the inserted closure cap does not collide with the bag container, but is positioned laterally next to it.

[0023] In a preferred embodiment, the insertion area is provided that, in a state where the spout is closed with the cap, it is at least partially, and preferably completely, covered by the insertion element. Thus, in the closed state, the insertion area poses no potential for interference.

[0024] The invention preferably provides that the plug-in element has an angular extent of at least 10 degrees, preferably at least 20 degrees, more preferably at least 30 degrees, more preferably at least 35 degrees, and in particular less than 45 degrees, in the circumferential direction around the cap axis. In this embodiment, the plug-in element is designed as a plug-in tab, in particular having a curvature in the circumferential direction corresponding to the radial distance of the plug-in tab from the cap axis.

[0025] Preferably, the insertion area can be formed between two projections spaced apart in the axial direction on the spout, in particular between two annular projections that completely surround the spout.

[0026] Ring-shaped and axially spaced projections can preferably also perform additional functions, particularly in connection with the embodiments described below. For example, the upper ring-shaped projection can function as a locking ring, especially as described below. For example, the lower ring-shaped projection can function as a stop ring, especially as described below.

[0027] It is preferably provided that at least one retaining rib, preferably two retaining ribs spaced circumferentially around the spout axis, are arranged on the lower projection, particularly on the lower annular projection, especially on the side facing the upper projection, preferably wherein each retaining rib extends towards the spout, particularly at least substantially radially, wherein the insertion area, viewed axially, is formed between the upper projection, particularly the upper annular projection, and the surface of the at least one retaining rib facing the upper projection. This design allows the axial distance between the projections, particularly the annular ones, to be greater than the radial (with respect to the cap axis) thickness of the insertion element. The effective area for receiving the insertion element is reduced by the at least one retaining rib.

[0028] A preferred embodiment provides that each retaining tab has an undercut, in particular one that interacts with at least one projection on the plug-in element, preferably to create a connection in which the projection engages in the undercut. This secures the closure cap against being pulled out of the insertion area too easily.

[0029] The undercut on a retaining web can preferably be formed by the retaining web having a greater axial height with respect to the spout axis in an area pointing away from the spout, in particular at its end, compared to an area pointing towards the spout or closer to the spout, preferably compared to the area directly adjacent to the spout.

[0030] The projection on the plug-in element can be designed such that it extends radially inwards from the plug-in element, in particular from its inner surface, with respect to the cap axis. Preferably, the projection can be arranged at the axially outermost end of the plug-in element.

[0031] It is further preferred that the radial thickness of the plug-in element at the location of the projection is equal to or less than the radial width of the lower axial end face of the cap wall from which the plug-in element projects axially. At axial positions outside the area of the projection, the radial thickness of the plug-in element is preferably always less than the radial width of said end face. To achieve this, it can be provided, for example, that the plug-in element is initially tapered in its radial thickness in the axial direction of the cap axis, starting from the end face, for example up to a region of constant radial thickness, where the projection begins.

[0032] In general, the invention can provide that the at least one retaining band formed integrally with the closure cap is attached directly or indirectly to the spout somewhere with its end pointing away from the closure cap.

[0033] A particularly preferred embodiment further provides that the closure cap is part of a cap arrangement comprising the closure cap, a retaining ring and at least one retaining band, wherein the at least one retaining band is formed integrally with the closure cap at one of its ends and integrally with the retaining ring at the other of its ends, wherein the retaining ring is secured against being pulled off the spout in the axial direction of the nozzle axis.

[0034] InA preferred embodiment of this cap arrangement provides that cooperating locking elements are arranged on the retaining ring of the cap arrangement and on the spout, particularly on the spout nozzle, by means of which the retaining ring is fastened to the spout, particularly on the spout nozzle, especially after initial assembly, and remains fastened even when the cap is opened. The locking element on the spout forms at least a partial area, particularly an axially upper partial area, of the insertion area. This preferably ensures that the inserted cap is completely positioned under the aforementioned locking element on the spout.

[0035] A preferred embodiment provides that a locking ring surrounding the spout, in particular the spout nozzle, is arranged as a locking means and projects radially outwards from the outer surface of the spout nozzle, wherein the locking ring is engaged by the retaining ring, in particular by at least one locking projection on the retaining ring, in particular in the direction in which the closure cap is placed.

[0036] Preferably, at least one circumferentially extending detent projection, projecting radially inwards from the inner surface of the retaining ring, is arranged as a detent element on its inner surface. The free internal cross-section between several detent projections is preferably smaller than the outer diameter of the detent ring at the spout.

[0037] It is particularly preferred that the insertion area, viewed in the axial direction, is formed between the locking ring on the spout or spout and the retaining ring.

[0038] In In a preferred embodiment, the insertion area between the locking ring and the edge of a notch is formed on the side of the retaining ring facing the closure cap. This allows the uppermost edge of the retaining ring to extend to or even cover the locking ring, with the lower upper edge of the notch creating a free area axially beneath the locking ring into which the plug-in element can be inserted. The edge of the notch may also partially define an opening in the insertion area.

[0039] A further preferred embodiment provides that, viewed in the axial direction of the spout axis, a stop ring is arranged around the spout at a distance below the locking ring, wherein at least one retaining web, preferably two retaining webs spaced apart in the circumferential direction around the spout axis, are arranged on the stop ring, in particular on the side facing the locking ring, preferably wherein each retaining web extends radially towards the spout, wherein the insertion area, viewed in the axial direction, is formed between the locking ring and the surface of the at least one retaining web facing the locking ring.

[0040] The retaining ribs can preferably perform a supporting function on the plug-in element, in particular on the part of the plug-in element that protrudes radially inwards beyond the retaining ring or the edge of the notch after insertion.

[0041] Preferably, it is provided that, viewed in the circumferential direction around the nozzle axis, at least one retaining web, preferably the two spaced-apart retaining webs, is / are arranged in the area of the notch of the retaining ring, in particular centrally in this.

[0042] A preferred further development provides that, in an originally closed state, the plug-in element of the closure cap is at least partially inserted into the notch of the retaining ring.

[0043] Preferably, it is further provided that, in the originally closed state of the cap assembly, the at least one retaining band, in particular each retaining band, is arranged axially between the closure cap and the retaining ring, and extends circumferentially around the cap axis. It is further preferred that the outer surface of the retaining ring is aligned with the outer surface of the respective retaining band and / or the radially outer surface of the plug-in element, in particular wherein the radially outer surface of the plug-in element has no projections that extend beyond the surface of the retaining ring, which in turn ensures that the plug-in element does not project radially outwards from the cap assembly any further than any other element of the cap assembly.

[0044] Furthermore, it can be provided that each retaining band between a connection point on the retaining ring and a connection point on the closure cap has several breakable bridges, in particular axially extending breakable bridges, by means of which the retaining band is attached to the retaining ring and / or the closure cap in its closed original state. Each breakable bridge can preferably be designed to taper in the axial direction, preferably tapering in one direction from the retaining band to the retaining ring and / or the closure cap, in particular with a constant thickness in the radial direction.

[0045] When the cap arrangement is designed with a single retaining band, and in particular also with two or more retaining bands, it is preferably provided that one end of the retaining band is attached to the closure cap in the circumferential direction with respect to the cap axis and the other end of the retaining band is connected to the retaining ring in the axial direction with respect to the cap axis.

[0046] Various embodiments of the invention are shown in the figures and are described below.

[0047] The Figure 1 shows a first basic design of a closure cap 1, which is equipped with a spout 2 of the Figure 2can interact to form the pouring device according to the invention. The closure cap 1 has a cap wall 1b that extends circumferentially around the cap axis 3 and is closed at the top by a cap lid 1a. At the bottom, the closure cap 1 has an open end 1c and can thus be placed on a pouring spout 4 of the spout 2, which according to Figure 2 extends around the nozzle axis 5. Nozzle axis 5 and cap axis 3 are visibly collinear when closed.

[0048] A retaining strap 1d is integrally connected to the closure cap 1. In this embodiment, the retaining strap 1d is attached to the lower open end 1c of the closure cap 1. However, other connection positions for the retaining strap 1d are also possible. In this embodiment, the retaining strap 1d can be attached to the spout or the container at any other position. More than one retaining strap 1d as shown may also be provided.

[0049] In Figure 2 On the outside of the pouring spout, 4 closure elements 6a are arranged, which interact with corresponding closure elements 6b of the closure cap 1, which are in Figure 1 are not shown, but for example in the Figures 5 and 6 are recognizable.

[0050] As an essential feature of the invention, the closure cap 1 has a plug-in element 7 extending away from the closure cap 1 in the direction of the cap axis 3 at its lower open end 1c. The plug-in element 7 preferably projects axially downwards from the axial lower end face of the cap wall 1b, which surrounds the opening at the open end 1c. Preferably, in this and all other possible embodiments, the radial thickness of the plug-in element 7, relative to the cap axis 3, is less than or equal to the radial width of the axial end face of the cap wall 1b.

[0051] In the Figure 1It is clearly evident that in the circumferential direction around the cap axis 3, the plug-in element 7 has an angular extent of angle α. This angular extent can be greater than 10 degrees, preferably greater than 20 degrees, more preferably greater than 30 degrees, and even more preferably greater than 35 degrees, but in particular always less than 45 degrees.

[0052] The plug-in element 7 is thus designed in the form of a flat plug-in tab, in particular which can have a curvature in the circumferential direction according to its radial distance from the cap axis 3.

[0053] According to the invention, the plug-in element 7 is provided to be inserted into a plug-in area 8 on the spout 2 in the axial direction of the cap axis 3 of the closure cap 1 and in the radial direction to the spout axis 5 of the spout 2.

[0054] The Figure 2Figure 1 shows the insertion area 8 on a spout 2 between an upper annular projection 9 and a lower annular projection 10, which are thus spaced apart in the direction of the spout axis 5. According to the further developments described below, the annular projections 9 and 10 can also perform other functions.

[0055] The ring-shaped projections 9, 10 can, for example, have a distance that corresponds at least substantially or exactly to the radial thickness of the plug-in element 7, or, in the case of a plug-in element 7 curved in the circumferential direction, to the distance between two parallel lines enclosing the plug-in element 7.

[0056] In the illustrated embodiment, it can be seen that the distance between the annular projections 9 and 10 is greater than the radial thickness of the plug-in element 7, particularly to enable the functions described later. To ensure sufficient clamping of the plug-in element 7, the plug-in area 8 between the projections 9 and 10 is shortened in the axial direction in the illustrated embodiment.

[0057] For this purpose, two retaining ribs 11 are arranged on the lower annular projection 10, which preferably – as shown – can connect to the pouring spout 4, in particular at least substantially in the radial direction. In other embodiments, it may be sufficient to provide only one retaining rib 11 instead of two.

[0058] The above descriptions of the closure cap 1 and the spout can preferably also apply to all closure caps 1 and spouts 2 of the further figures.

[0059] The Figure 3Figure 1 shows a preferred embodiment in which the closure cap 1 is part of a cap assembly that, in addition to the closure cap 1 and the retaining band 1d, also includes a retaining ring 1e. The single retaining band 1d shown here is integrally connected to both the closure cap 1 and the retaining ring 1e. This embodiment can also be implemented with two or more retaining bands 1d.

[0060] The closure cap 1 is attached to the spout 2 by means of the retaining ring 1e, which is attached to the spout 2. In the originally closed state, the retaining ring 1e is arranged around the spout 4 and is secured against axial removal by the fact that the retaining ring 1e engages the upper annular projection 9 in a snap-fit manner, which in this function serves as a locking ring 9.

[0061] To implement the locking function, the retaining ring 1e can have one or more projections 1f on its inner surface, which can be designed, for example, as in the Figure 5 The cams 6b shown are located on the inner surface of the cap wall. Some of several possible projections 1f are shown in the Figure 5 shown as an example on the inner surface of the retaining ring 1e.

[0062] In this way, the retaining ring 1e can be guided over the locking ring 9 during assembly, with the projections 1f engaging behind the locking ring 9.

[0063] The lower annular projection 10 can serve as a stop ring 10. This allows the cap assembly to be axially slid onto the spout 2 in its original closed state – particularly without rotation – whereby the lower edge of the retaining ring 1e can abut the stop ring 10, thus limiting the sliding distance.

[0064] The lower stop ring 10 therefore preferably has an outer diameter that is larger than the free inner diameter of the retaining ring 1e. The retaining ring 1e can also be secured against rotation about the spout axis 5 and attached to the spout 2.

[0065] The Figure 3 shows a design with a single retaining band 1d, one end of which connects to the retaining ring in an axial direction. Figure 4 shows the same cap arrangement, where it can be seen that the other end of the retaining band connects circumferentially to the lower open end of the closure cap, or circumferentially to the lower edge of the closure cap.

[0066] The Figures 3 and 4The figures show the cap assembly in its original closed state, in which the retaining band 1d is arranged axially between the closure cap 1 and the retaining ring 1e, and extends circumferentially around the cap axis 3, with the outer surface of the retaining ring 1e being aligned with the outer surface of the retaining band 1d and / or the plug-in element 7. The design is such that the radially outer surface of the plug-in element 7 has no protrusions that extend beyond the outer surface of the retaining ring 1e.

[0067] Thus, the plug-in element is effectively integrated into the cap arrangement and is only exposed with regard to its axially protruding property when the pouring device is opened.

[0068] The Figure 3This further shows a preferred embodiment in which the retaining ring 1e comprises a recess 1g on its side facing the closure cap 1. At the location of the recess, the retaining ring is reduced in its axial height, particularly compared to the surrounding areas. The plug-in element 7, in its originally closed state, is at least partially engaged in the recess 1g. This recess 1g, or at least its lower edge, which, in its originally closed state, faces the axial end face of the plug-in element, is also part of the insertion area 8 for the plug-in element. It preferably forms part of an opening through which the plug-in element can be inserted between the retaining ring 1e and the locking ring 9.

[0069] The Figure 5Figure 1 shows a view of only the cap assembly of a pouring device, in which the device has been opened. It is evident that the plug-in element 7 is formed entirely within the radial width of the axial end face 1h of the lower cap rim, i.e., it does not project radially inwards or outwards beyond the cap rim. In particular, the radial width of the plug-in element 7 can even be smaller than the radial width of the end face 1h of the cap rim, especially if it has a material thinning on its inner side, such that the plug-in element 7 remains flush with the retaining ring 1e on the outside.

[0070] The Figure 5A A preferred embodiment is shown in which the plug-in element 7 has a projection radially inwards with respect to the cap axis, preferably at its free end, in particular to provide a possibility of locking the plug-in element 7 in the insertion area 8.

[0071] This shows the Figure 5B a preferred further development of the design of the spout according to Figure 2 , in which the retaining webs 11 each have an undercut into which the projection on the plug element 7 can lie. The axial height of the retaining webs 11 with respect to the spout axis 5 is less in the area of the respective retaining web 11 adjacent to the pouring spout 4 than in an area facing away from the pouring spout 4, in particular the outermost area of the respective retaining web 11, in order to form the undercut.

[0072] The Figure 6 shows a view of the cap arrangement according to Figure 5 Without a spout, in a state where the cap with the plug-in element 7 is inserted into the insertion area 8. It is clearly visible that the plug-in element 7 is inserted into the insertion area through the opening defined by the notch 1g.

[0073] The Figure 7shows a first view in which a cap arrangement of the Figures 3, 4 and 5 on a spout 2 of the Figure 2 is arranged. Alternatively, spout 2 can also be used here according to Figure 5B in conjunction with the cap arrangement of Figure 5A The retaining ring 1e is inserted, which also applies to all other figures. It lies axially beneath the upper annular projection 9, which forms the locking ring 9, and is locked behind it, thus securing it axially. The retaining ring also remains above the lower annular projection / stop ring 10.

[0074] The opening to the insertion area 8 for the plug-in element 7 is bounded axially at the top by the lower edge of the locking ring 9 and at the bottom by the edge of the notch 1g pointing towards the locking ring 9. InIn the radial direction between the retaining ring 1e and the pouring spout 4, the two retaining ribs 11 are located in the area of the cutout, providing sufficient support for the plug-in element 7 in the area behind the retaining ring. The insertion area is thus located entirely below the underside of the locking ring 9 and above the surface of the retaining ribs 11 and above the lower edge of the cutout 1g.

[0075] The Figure 8 shows another view of the pouring device according to the invention, in which the plug-in element 7 is inserted into the insertion area.

[0076] The highly advantageous effect of the closure cap 1 being completely positioned under the locking ring 9 in the axial direction of the spout axis 5 is clearly evident here. The entire spout 4 can therefore be enclosed in the mouth for drinking without the lips coming into contact with the closure cap. This is preferably further enhanced in all possible embodiments shown and not shown by the fact that the plug-in element 7 has a greater radial distance to the cap axis 3 than the cap wall 1b. For this purpose, the closure cap 1 preferably has a radial expansion at its lower open end.

[0077] The Figure 9 merely shows a different view of the same situation for illustrative purposes. Figure 8 .

[0078] The Figures 2 , 7 , 8 and 9Figure 1 shows an embodiment of the pouring device according to the invention with a spout 2 for bags as a container, wherein the bag itself is not visualized, but connects in a manner known per se to the welded part 12, which is provided at the lower open end of the pouring nozzle 4.

[0079] Especially in Figure 9 It becomes clear that the position of the insertion area 8 in the circumferential direction around the nozzle axis 5, viewed centrally between the arm ends 12a, 12b of the weld-in part, achieves an advantageous position of the inserted closure cap 1, in which it lies laterally next to the bag or the weld-in part shown here, although it is covered by the bag / weld-in part 12 when viewed in radial projection to the nozzle axis 5 or in axial projection of the cap axis 3.

[0080] The Figure 10Another embodiment of a pouring device according to the invention is shown in its original closed state with a bottle as container 13, using the same cap arrangements described above, e.g., for the Figures 5 and 5A described, i.e., with all previously described characteristics.

[0081] At Figure 11 is the same arrangement of Figure 10 shown without cap arrangement and clarifies that all features of the pouring spout 4, which are present in the design according to Figures 2 , 5B , 7, 8 and 9 The features described above are also present here, or at least can be present, with the sole exception that a bottle neck 12 is provided as the transition area 12 to the container 13, rather than a welded-in part. The stop ring 10 can also serve as a support ring in conveying or filling systems for a bottle.

[0082] The Figure 12This shows that the closure cap 1, in the inserted state, is also completely arranged under the locking ring 10 and laterally next to the transition area of the spout to the container 13, which in this embodiment is designed as a bottle neck. Therefore, the type of design of the transition area 12 from the spout to the container 13 is irrelevant for the invention. In In all possible cases, the invention realizes its essential advantages.

[0083] The Figure 13 shows the same design from above.
